Three mobile broadband service is horrible. Web page takes indefinitely to load. I tried paying my daughter school fee on line this evening, it did not get through because of "frustrating slow speed". I regret that I bought it service.

Well I can't say anything worse but I can say the worse broadband I have ever have. Me and my husband we both have 3broadband 2years phone contract my iphone 4 is full now has no space even to take a picture :-@ and I only have 100min for other networks to call that I use morethan this and I pay morethan my contract bill the contract is very expensive I pay for 8gb iphone4 and has 100minutes and I pay £21 a month it has weak signal sometimes it disappears , unfortunately I have to wait until July 2015 to cancel the contract if I had that money to pay for cancelling the contract I would done it 6months before.

Three are the most difficult company to deal with. I ordered a broadband device to take away on holiday with me over the phone. I was assured it would be delivered before I went on holiday. As it did not turn up by this date I rushed to a Three store to pick up a new device and in turn take out a new contract. I tried to cancel the contract and was told they would log the call but I couldn't cancel until I received the device or if I refused the device. On my return from holiday the device had been stuffed in my letter box - I did not even get the chance to refuse the device. I then called customer services and after hours and hours of conversation over 5 days they still refused to let me return the device. i went back to the store I bought the 2nd device from and they tried reasoning with Three on my behalf however the call centre still refused to accept the device back. After numerous more calls eventually and emails eventually Three said I could send the device back. I sent the device back and am now being chased for an outstanding balance on my account, even though I set up a direct debit?? I am now suffering with panic attacks as I honestly don't know what to do.

Three when it works is great... just its not very often these days.

For multiple years I have had long periods where text messages don't arrive... they just disappear, even when the sender is standing right next to me. Ive complained about this multiple times both to tech support and in shops, and am fobbed off with its "phone settings"... four different phones, two different operating systems... come on... three buggered up the white pages entry when my number was ported to three a decade back, and its been broken ever since.

Worse, right now I am working from hme, using three mobile as my only way to contact office and data, and constantly see reports saying that three are upgrading my data connection and to expect faster speeds... but this is not the case. while "working" on the network I see data speeds slower than when I was using a dialup modem in the early 90's, and in the evenings it gets slower each week.

I am fed up with being fobbed off by callcentre chimps, and even getting through to the second line tech support fairs no better. I spent 10 years lecturing in RF and digital communications technology. The last thing I need is yet another idiot insisting I perform a factory reset. I shall be leaving three.

We were promised download speeds of 200+mbps. Our actual speeds have been peaking at 2mbps on a good day. A few months ago customer service told us that there was maintenance under way that would "definitely" be fixed by the 24th of December. That date has come and gone and if anything our speeds are worse now. We followed it up on Twitter and were told the works would now be finished next June at the earliest! Absolute joke. When we signed up for the contract we were told connections in our area were great and there was no mention whatsoever of any maintenance works that would make it borderline unusable for the first 12+ months. Now we're stuck with this lousy rip-off excuse for an internet connection for another year as we can't afford the cancellation fee. Please, PLEASE do not make our mistake.

Pretty much is realist here what others have truly said in their reviews... Awful, very slow connection (on SIM only) everything slowed down. Previous provider EE. I had no problems. Customer service abysmal. Left me waiting an hour twenty minutes, then, as others have said, they ended the call... Don't do it. Cheap but not worth it...

Terrible connection - unusable product. Have great 4G coverage in my area and incredible speed with EE, but the connectivity from 3 cuts out every few seconds. Have to restart the device every 2mins to get any internet at all. Would avoid at all costs

Been with 3 since time began, I didn't have any issues until I moved to North Wales. The broadband was shocking could bearly use one device with it. I also only have 2 bars on my mobile phone and that's even after it was changed to 3G as 4G was non existant.I don't like to complain but it's the honest truth.

I have written probably just one bad review in my life and only because it was really bad, this is the second one.
The first thing is their customer service. I have been using broadband from Relish for 4 years before Three took over. I have never had any problems with Relish. I used to have nearly the full signal.
I live near Holborn and not so long ago my signal dropped to the minimum and my internet basically doesn’t work.
When I made a decision to move here, due to some circumstances Relish was my only option and still is. I was basically dependant on it. Now, it caused me loads of troubles.
When I called the customer service, my call was transferred 4 times and they asked me the same questions. It was a mess. When finally somebody decided to talk to me, they were asking me some random numbers and information. It seemed like they had no idead what are they talking about. At the end I was told that my broadband is not registered and that I can’t be helped. RIDICULOUS!! Despite the fact I was paying my bills and using my broadband before. I gave up really frustrated and tried to call them again later.
This time I wasn’t transferred. Their support guy, who seemed like he knew was he was doing, managed to find my account without issues and started looking into the problem.

Not here comes the second part. I was told that one of the cell towers was removed and there is nothing he can do. Without ANY warning. No emails, messages NOTHING. What a disgrace to their customers!!! I have never experienced anything like that in my life. That’s how they value their customers. I asked to speak with somebody higher and I was told that it is not possible. It wasn’t his fault, so I didn’t want to vent my anger on him. Until now I am still struggling to find a replacement. I have already had some problems with Three before. Now, I am changing my mobile network too. I have heard some bad stuff about them from my friends and I was warned. I think I have learned my lesson. The most people I know have a different one or are changing their network.
I hope that this will help the rest of you who are still deciding to or not to go with this company and I strongly recommend to AVOID it. For some people it may work, but once you start having some problems, you can’t rely on them at all!!! It seems like you are secondary or none to them.

I went into the Three shop in Highcross, Leicester, with queries and problems that I had with my new phone. The two staff who helped me were outstanding; with so much knowledge and such a wish to help. They sorted everything, and it wasn't a quick fix, taking 2 minutes, but they had patience. So, thank you to Three. I would not hesitate to use them again.

I've had three broadband for over 4 years now as BT or sky isn't an option. As for fibre. That's a pipe dream where I live. At first it was OK, but over the last few months (start of 2022) three's broadband is getting worse ! I have a good signal for 4g. But forget it.

the worst customer service in the world. I could right a book on that. 92 min and 3 calls for something that could have been resolved in 3 min. This is just one of the examples. Thanks.

I can honestly say I have never received worst customer service in my life! Have had problems with coverage ever since I've joined and have tried to resolve this. Like others I have been told to take a drive and see if my phone works elsewhere. Have contacted 3 customer service team on various occasions and have found them to be rude, obtrusive and generally unpleasant. I would not recommend 3 Mobile to my worst enemy.

Got the mobile broadband for a 12months contract. It's been poor for the last 6 months and when I finally decided to cancel they managed to talk me into it again promising a new device type after a dozen hours wasted on customer service. They sent me the same device with service beeing as poor as before. The mocking they handled my situation is incredible, all they've done is to waste my time again and again. Just now I told the guy in the live chat I just want to cancel and not waste any of my time, he asked to speak on the phone, told him I can't and I gave permission for somebody else to finish the process. They called the other person just to waste another 5 minutes with details verification and conclude that nothing can be done without the main person on the contract on the phone. I have never heard of anything similar before, Customer Service seems like a bunch of incompetents running a scam from their basement. Insane mocking and disrespect to me as a customer. Of course, I'll have to pay the full contract anyway,no matter how bad the service was for the usage period. They don't even have a capable technical team, when they called to troubleshoot my device they asked 0 tehnical questions just basic, irelevant settings matters. Insane that this company is running a bussiness in UK. Never felt more disrespected on my own dime. Don't get the service.

This review is for the 3 HomeFi package on the Unlimited Data 24 month contract.

Been having ongoing issues with landline broadband for months. Despite trying 3 different providers, 4 different routers, both copper and FTTC connections (unfortuantly FTTP or Virgin lines aren't an option) I was only getting speeds of <1mb/s and constant connection droptouts yet my providers saying I was getting speeds of >40mb/s on their system. After Openreach engineers couldn't find any faults I decided to cut the landline and go 4g. Been with 3 HomeFi for about 2 weeks now and so far it's been the best decision I've made.

With this package you get a Huawei B311 router with a 3 SIM card inserted that when up and running works like any landline router. There are however some pros and cons to this packagage so I'll break my review down and highlight some of the pros/cons:

Hardware: As said the router is a Huawei B311. It's quite small so doesn't stand out like the monstrosities my previous 2 landline providers supplied. However it is quite lightweight and feels a little flimsy so I'm not sure about the lifespan of the hardware. That said though it looks pretty simple to buy a 4g router and just insert the SIM into that one if this ever breaks down. This is definetly a plus as although anyone on landline broadband can use a third party router it isn't always a simple task. With 4g broadband though it is a simple plug and play. Infact some might prefer to buy a router and data SIM seperatly (3 are currently offering a 12 month SIM only contract with unlimited data for £20 pm). The router is pretty basic compared to the ones supplied by landline providers though. It has a power and WPS switch and lights that show the stuatus of power, mobile network, ethernet, WiFi and mobile signal. However it only has one Ethernet port which was a bit of a let down intitially. Also 3 seem to have stripped down a couple of other features. It has a phone socket port so you should be able to connect a landline phone and make/recive calls via the SIM, but although the socket is present it has been disabled and I can't find a function in the router UI to activate it. There's a removable panel on the back of the router that reveals a SMA socket to attach an external antenna which can possibly boost mobile reception (and potentially download speeds too). However I get the impression by the size and shape of the removable panel and the fact that many 4g antenna are sold in pairs that there should be 2 SMA sockets and one seems to have been removed. But one absolute bonus to this router over a fixed landline is portability. All you need to get broadband up and running is electricity and a 3 signal so this router can be placed anywhere in a home (it may take a while to find the position with strongest signal though) and can even be taken on holiday (looking forward to not having to use hotel WiFi any more). Even though this router is a little basic there hasn't been a function it can't do that a landline router can't as you'll read below.

Software: As with any router you access the UI by typing the IP address into a web browser and it is very straight forward to navigate unlike some of the landline routers. It shows you the usual router settings that can be changed but also shows your current up/download speeds, number of devices connected, mobile signal and some other statuses. It also allows you to set data thresholds so you don't exceed any download limits. Additionaly you can download a UI app so you don't have to access it through the IP address and you can also set up a my3 account to keep track of data usage/spending and can download a my3 app too.

Connectivity: According to the manual you can connect up to 32 devices at a time and here's how I've found the different connection types. WiFi - The Wifi works like any other router by searcing for the connection on your device and entering the password. The range of the WiFi is brilliant, I can get a better connection 2 rooms away than I could from my landline router (back when I had working broadband that is). But this router only offers a 2.4ghz WiFi connection which can be very congeseted (not just by users connecting through your router but by other nearby routers) and doesn't have a 5ghz WiFi connection which pretty much comes as standard with fibre routers these days. Ethernet - As said this router only has 1 Ethernet port which initially was a bit of a disapointment. However it's ended up being something of a bonus. I repurposed an old landline router to work as a network switch and placed it behind my TV so I have the Ethernet cable from the router going to this switch. I then have 3 cables going from the switch to 2 games consoles and a Roku box so with the switch being conveniently hidden the 1 cable leading from the router doesn't look as untidy. WPS - This is the only connection type tht has been a headache. According to the manual to set up a WPS connection you just hold down the WPS button for 2secs until the WiFi light on the router starts to flash. However no ammount of pushing could get this light to flash. So setting up my WiFi printer was a bit of a mission. The printer was unable to find the network by pushing the WPS button or enabling WPS in the router UI. I was able to find the printer using the network settings on a laptop but it was unable to connect. In the end I had to delete the printer drivers from the laptop, reinstall and set up a WiFi connection by connecting the printer to the laptop using a USB cable and then enabling WPS through the router UI. But now it's set up it's working fine. SMA - As said there's a SMA connection that can be used to connect an external antenna to boost mobile reception. I haven't used this yet but do plan on buying an antenna to see if it boosts signal/speeds. You could also by an SMA cable so the antenna can be installed in the place of the strongest signal yet the router placed near the devices it needs to conenct to. Phone - It is somehting of a let down that the phone socket on the router has been disabled as although I rarely use a landline it was always nice to know it's there as a back up.

Speeds/Signal: One downside to mobile broadband is you don't get the minimum guaranteed download speeds that many landline providers offer. Although the router can in theory provide download speeds of upto 150mb/s you are never going to get anywhere near this and you will find that the speeds fluctuate rapidly. I have had download speeds in the range of 2mb/s with only 1 device connected via Ethernet but have also had speeds >20mb/s on a device connected by WiFi 2 rooms away with multiple devices connected at the same time. The reason the speeds can be so inconsistent is there are more variables to consider than through a landline connection. Signal strength and proximity to mast, router location, network congestion and even the weather play their part as well as the usual variables such as router channel and other other interferances you get with a landline router. It's for this reason that I've only scored 3 for speeds. However the upload speeds and ping rates always seem pretty stable. The uploads are consistently in their teens and the ping rates are usually holding in the 50's which is very respectable. Despite the varying download speeds it hasn't been an issue with using the data and I've had only one dropout in connection in the 2 weeks which is why I've scored 5 for reliability. With the router fresh out of the box I wanted to see how far I could push the connection so I had a Roku box streaming a film 2 rooms away, another streaming live TV 2 rooms away, a tablet streaming YouTube 2 rooms away and a mobile and a laptop browsing the net all while my son played Fortnite on the Xbox in the same room as the router. There was absolutly no buffering and crystal clear picture quality on the devices that were straeming and only a very slight lag on the Xbox which was fine because I'm never going to be transferring this much data on this many devices normally. The only time the inconsistent speeds have been an issue was when my son was downloading a 12gb game on the Xbox, it took hours and the display on the screen showing live download speeds showed you just how varied they can be with them jumping between 15mb/s and <1mb/s quite rapidly. This is the only time I've had a connection dropout as I tried to stream on a Roku box at the same time as this download and the router just couldn't handle it. So downloading large amounts of data is an issue but the speeds are fine for streaming and online gaming. The mobile signal the router recives will play a big part in the speeds you're getting as throetically the stronger the signal the higher the speeds. So the location of the router is imperative and ideally close to a window to pick up the signal easier from a mast. I checked the 3 signal for my address both on their website and the Ofcom website before purchasing and this is something I strongly advise as like I've said there are no guarantees for speed. You can also download apps that can show where the signal is strongest around you and like I've said there's also the option of installing an antenna (even outside and connecting to the router via cable) to get the optimal mobile signal. I'd also recomend keeping an eye on the signal strength in UI as the light on the router shows the strength by 3 bars and my signal has never dropped below 3. However the strength is shown using 5 bars on the UI and this was showing between 3-4 bars when I first set the router up despite the light showing full signal. I've now got the router in a positon where it's showing full signal on both the UI and the router.

Customer Service: I've scored quite low in this area as I have concerns about the customer service 3 provide if I ever needed it. Being mobile broadband this type of contract doesn't come with the guarantees that an equivilant fibre broadband contract comes with. As said there are no guaranteed minimum speeds. Also my last two providers offered 60 and 30 day guarantees that allowed me to leave the contract within this time without any early exit fees if I wasn't happy with the connection and both these guarantees were worth their weight in gold with the issues I'd been having. With HomeFi though there is no such guarantee. However you can return the equipment within 14 days providing it's unused and the small print even goes on to say that they will still consider the device unused if you've switched it on to make sure it works but haven't yet started using it fully. However it's important to note that this returns period is only granted for online/phone sales and if you were to buy the device/contract in a 3 shop you wouldn't get this guarantee. The contract with 3 also states that you only enter the contract once you insert the SIM into the device and it activates. So with this in mind I ordered a free PAYG SIM and loaded it with 2gb data @£10 so that I could check the router worked, could pick up signal and connect to my devices. I figured that doing this would be considered turning it on and checking it worked but if 3 disagreed and I wanted to exit the contract I would be able to as I hadn't actually gone live with my contract yet so would only liable for the cost of the router. I did need to contact customer services whilst setting up the router and it's because of this they've scored low in this area at the moment. When I put the PAYG SIM in it activated and picked up signal wihtin 5mins. But when I put the contract SIM in there was still no signal after an hour so I called 3 customer services. This ended up being a bit of an issue as the number that was printed on the SIM packaging was not recognised and finding a number for 3 customer services online was a bit of a mission. Once I did find a number that worked I was on hold for ages, when the call was finally answered the operator told me that as it's a broadband device she'd need to transfer me to the broadband team as she's in the mobile phone team, fair enough but I was then on hold for ages again. When I was finally put through I was told I'd need to speak to the faults team and yep you guessed it... back on hold. Whilst I was waiting for this call to be answered though the router finally picked up signal so I just hung up. It was obviously just the case that it took a bit longer for the contract SIM to activate than the PAYG one. So although it wasn't a major issue on this occasion I can see myself being given the runaround if I ever need to contact customer services in the future.

Summary: This router and contract has been a lifesaver after the issues with landline broadband that I've been having and at £22 pm it's comparable to a basic fibre broadband cost. However if you can get a decent fibre connection this isn't likely to be a viable alternative as the cost for fibre broadband also includes line rental so you can use a homephone which like I've said has been disabled on this router. There's also the fact that if you can get a decent fibre conection you'll likely have far higher and more stable speeds. But for someone in my position the speeds I'm now getting are a lot better and more stable than on my shoddy Openreach line. And the portability of this router is a massive bonus that makes up for some of the downsides this router has compared to a landline one. There are a lot of variables you might want to consider before entering into a contract of this length, not least the strength of the 3 signal in your area. If you don't want to enter into a lengthy contract though there are other options with shorter contracts. However these come with data caps, can be more expensive p/m and may also require a partial or full payment of the router. With this contract being £22 pm including the router yet a SIM only plan being £20 pm this does seem to be one of the few mobile plans that include the device for free rather than adding the cost onto the contract price. This is considering that although you'll be paying £2 pm less on the SIM only plan you'll need to buy a router yourself and the starting price of a 4g router on Amazon at present is £69.99 (TP-Link - reduced from £99.99 so it could go up again). That said the 4g routers on Amazon come with more features than this one such as extra Ethernet ports, a working phone socket and 5ghz WiFi signal as well as the 2.4ghz. So it could be worth the extra cost in buying the SIM and the router seperatly just due to the added features. For me though despite the basicness of this router I have been very impressed with how well it compares to a fibre router.

This is a follow up review for the 3 HomeFi review I posted a few posts below on 10/5/19.

Our Internet cut out today and when I looked at My3 account I found we had supposedly exceeded our 100gb data allowance by over 4gb and incurred additional charges of £47.94 because of this. I called the billing and contracts team (again finding a working number for customer services was a mission as the one on the sim card didn't connect) and explained I should be on an unlimited plan. I was told that I was on a 100gb plan but if I wanted unlimited they would happily add this to my contract for £10 pm extra. So then we had a back and forth conversation of me explaining I already signed up for unlimited data and demanding my Internet connection be reinstated with the unlimited data I signed up for and the fraudulent charge of £47.94 removed from my bill immediately whilst the operator insisted this was not the case and kept offering me unltd data for £10 extra. Eventually he said if I have evidence I signed up for unlimited Data to email this to 3 and then call back. Fortunately I still had the order confirmation email in my inbox showing I had signed up for unlimited data.

Once I fwd this email to 3 I logged on to Web chat and demanded that now they have the proof to provide the service for which I signed up. This took a little while as they needed the email tracking ID I should have received as confirmation from the email I sent, but as I never received this I had to resend from an alternate address as apparently they are unable to look into this confirmation themselves despite me providing the order ref no that came with my original order.

The person on the webchat was brilliant once I provided the tracking ID and my Internet connection was soon up and running again and My3 account now showing unltd data with the £47.94 additional charge showing as credited to my account now.

The reason I was given for this happening was that the unltd data I signed up to was a Ltd time offer and the way the sell it is to sell a 100gb package with a free unlimited data add on and apparently the add on wasn't added to my contract when I signed up.

So I wanted to update my review because if it's happened to me it can happen to other people. So please make sure you check your My3 account regularly to make sure you getting what you signed up for. I didn't do this because I was on unltd data and although this caps out at 1tb I knew we'd go nowhere near this.

I've given 1 star for customer service because once I sent proof of my account and provided the tracking ID it was sorted immediately. However they don't get any further stars because obviously this shouldn't have happened in the first place and that they couldn't look at this on their system without me providing evidence of my order is very worrying as if I had not had this proof I'd be stuck with a 100gb data allowance rather than the unlimited one I'd signed up for

Network has been playing up in my area for a month now, complained via live chat 10 days ago and I was promised it would be sorted and I would receive a call with next steps. Call never came so I called to cancel my contract. Rather than the usual 30 days the rep disconnected it on the spot. Now I don’t have internet for working or staying connected with anyone. They’ve turned it off in an instant but told me it takes 3 days to turn it back on. They’ve told me to call a number to speak to someone that they know isn’t being manned, and at the same time told me that they won’t get anyone to call me. I know times are difficult at the minute but you really need to get a handle on your ability to provide your service and the way you allow your staff to represent you. I’m now seeking an alternative supplier while I wait for a call that I doubt will ever come.

i would say that the mobile broadband service from the 3 network is very poor , the download speed i have is no more than 100kbs on average this really is not broadband, its not much better than dial up.

I'm so sick of them, leaving after being a long time customer.

They refuse to help me, and I've had numerous emails with rude and arrogant staff. They've doubled their prices on some contracts, and I'm not prepared to pay it.

Clearly Three don't give a damn about their customers, and people seem to be leaving like rats off a sinking ship. Personally I'm glad to be rid of them, and don't recommend them to anyone at all.

We’ve had this‘service’ for just over a year now. We signed up in desperation as our BT cabinet is still not fibre enabled and the ADSL connection was awful.
It’s never been blazing fast, my jaw drops when people claim 200mbps. The last month it has just stopped providing any sort of service at all.
Customer service just talk me through a hard reboot of the router which achieves nothing.
    Avoid like tile the plague.

Worst broadband provider ever. Very incompetent. They provided me a home 5G broadband that does not work and i’ve been calling everyday for 3 weeks to follow up only to hear that the account activation will be further delayed every time. Very bad service, no one is able to help me and they give lots of false promises!!

I had been with Three for some years and found it reliable and cost effective despite some signal drop out issues. I had a £10 per month unlimited texts and calls and 4GB data plan which suited me fine. That was until I got a letter from Three to say that, since my 12month contract had finished they were changing me to a monthly rolling contract for the same service but at £14 per month!!!

I went to my local Three store (Bloomfields Shopping Centre, Bangor, Northern Ireland) and spoke with the store manager, a most unhelpful individual. He told me, quite plainly, that my options were to take it or leave the network. I chose to leave the network but now wish I hadn't.

I found a deal with SMARTY, a wholly owned division of Three, giving me what I had at the price I had been paying and with a monthly contract. I initiated the changeover but quickly ran into issues, not least with their useless customer services agents. I instructed them to terminate the transfer process as they had frustrated me. They assured me it was terminated and I resolved to find another deal.

But they hadn't terminated, the transfer carried on and I was cut off from Three then cut off from SMARTY and left with no service! I had to go back to Three on a whole new deal and get a PAC code from SMARTY to get my old number back.

I gave the PAC code to Three, was told the usual 1 to two business days for transfer and waited. Nothing happened. I contacted Three customer services (SAVE ME from Indian call centres!!) to be told there had been "an issue" with the PAC code so they started again. Three days later, still no transfer so I called them again. Another "issue" with the PAC code so it was started again!

Now, after the third attempt, it's still not done!! And their customer services do nothing but ask the same questions again and again and make the same empty promises again and again. And so, 7 days later, I still have not had my original number transferred back. USELESS!

Company you can recommend to your worst enemy - three mobile customer service is just awful. I was calling 6x about particular problem before they fixed it.
Other thing Three mobile data signal is very poor. Customer service says you need to contact department about, they will check why signal is bad and will try to sort it out. When connected that department has excuse - your phone is faulty (in our case 7 phones have the same problem with signal). We have situation when 9 people are sitting in one room (iphone 4s, iphone 6, samsung s4, s5, s5, s6, note2 on three mobile; iphone 4 and samsung s5 on other networks). Three mobile's signal is coming and going on all phones - one minute it is here, then dissappears, then again appears, it is jumping between H, H+ and 4G, and it shows full bars, but you can't connect. On all phones the same. Absolutely helpless. Other networks permanently have signal. We are located in London. Here is NO CHANCES to get any help from three mobile customer service. But three mobile will charge you for nonexistent signal properly, 'because you signed contract with us'. For them it is one side contract, they are not obligate to provide service you were expecting when chose to get their simcard. And after that they are shameless enough to try sell you a new contract. Just try to avoid this company!

I just wanted to cancel my contract and get a PAC. It took 3 phone calls, one visit to the store, many failed 'reset your password' links. A maddening experience. Our last phone call lasted 50 min ! Totally unacceptable. Plus, I never had any coverage, reason why I wanted to switch in the first place.

Crap, don't get it. Highly recommend you look else where.

    - Unstable as ****
    - Connection dropping
    - Not suitable for anything other than youtube which if you're lucky it might only buffer once. (IT'S 2019!)
    - Sounds too good to be true, save your money...

    Thanks,

If there were 0 stars, that would be my rating for Three. Their broadband speed is at modem level for most of the day, the customer service provides no help at all but pesters you with standard blah blah blah. They wouldn't even let you out of your contract w/o cancellation fees, even when they're clearly not able to fulfill their part of the contract. If you want so spare yourself a whole lotta trouble, do stay away from this company. They are an embarrassment in every aspect of their doing.

Received my three 5g router. Firstly there was no sim card in the package. I was told to get one from my local three mobile store, that was 30 miles away. So wasted 2 hours and £20 of fuel to go get that. set it up and couldn't get a signal. Finally found a spot in house where it Received a signal. Did a speed test and was getting between 0.5mbs to 5mbs ish and less than 1mbs upload. Contacted customer services to basically be told It should be fine and to try everything I already did. I was then told might need an antenna but three won't recommend one let alone supply one. Then was told to just cancel my contract. Customer service although they was polite, clearly didn't care. I then had to waste another hour of my time just to be able to cancel it. Now I'm going to have to waste more time and money going to the post office just to return the router. DO NOT RECOMMEND AND DEFINITELY WILL NEVER USE THREE FOR ANYTHING AGAIN.

Although three are undoubtedly cheap, their customer service is just a total joke so I have left them.

I was formerly with Relish who provided 4G home broadband in London. Customer service and broadband was slick, efficient and helpful. Three bought relish and customer service turned to an absolute joke.

This year, they contact me to terminate my contract early (without my consent) as my contract with three was being moved to the wider three group (yes, it didn't make much sense to me either) so they were terminating my contract early and offering me the same service for more money. How kind of them.

I agreed to stay, but the experience has been so bad I've cancelled after the first 3 days. Even trying to stay was painful - I was asked to contact them which I did so and was told I would receive a call back 2 weeks later. That call back never came.

Eventually the new service started but speeds dropped from 140mbps (5G) to 10mbps over night. I spent a couple of hours trying to reach customer service to find out why but couldn't get through to a human. Eventually I decided to cancel as the service was so bad. I say I've cancelled, but in fact I very much doubt my contract has been successfully cancelled. After 4 hours on the phone and webchats trying to cancel the contract, I still don't think they've done it properly - I rang back to check and they had already messed up the cancellation. I have had no email confirming the cancellation and have written two letters as a result. I fully expect to be billed for my first month, or more likely to receive a threatening letter as I already cancelled my direct debit to them.

If you want your broadband provider to be as hard work as this in order to save a few pounds, three are the company for you. If not I would avoid them like the absolute plague. I have probably wasted 10 hours on the phoen and chats over the last few weeks trying to ask basic questions or make basic changes which should take minutes, and I still don't think they've got it right.

There's nothing wrong with the advisors. The systems are just set up completely wrong so you get put through to the wrong person who then transfers you and more often that not you are cut off in the process. Then when you do get through to the second person they also tell you they are the wrong department. This happened several times until I just couldn't bear it any longer.

Bought a new 24mth contract from THREE which came with a samsung mobile phone. Three months later the phone just became unusable, not least due to the garbage bloatware THREE preinstall, most of which I had uninstalled. It still left little imovable scabs, one was every time I touch the fone asking if I want to install THREE apps etc - Then the horror story really begins. THREE customer service just happened to mention fone warranty was ONE year, not the two years I signed up to. They also tried to get samsung to deal with the problem, giving me the runaround. I said my contract is with THREE YOU sort it out. Said they would send a new phone. never did. Made an official complaint and every step was blocked by them misusing the data protection act and claiming they cannot talk to me via email unless I give security details, despite the case already being open. So it was ok for me to send sensitive data but not for them. It then just became farcical and I gave up. They then advised I couldnt even complain to the ombudsman!!! A big fat lie. The network service itself was 2nd rate too. Many black spots and 3 and 4g unusable often. The company is a joke.

I have been with Three for over a year now and have been very happy with them. I was previously with O2 and my bills varied from month to month - lots of small charges for things. But since moving to Three my bill each month has been exactly as promised.

The transfer was smooth and any support issues I have raised have been dealt with efficiently. And network coverage seems pretty good to me too. So, all in all I would recommend Three.

Absolutely the worst connection since dial up. I have complained twice and of the 3 months I have paid for the have refunded 1 and never had a good connection.

They have admitted it is over subscribed and or they are doing work in the area and upgrading.

Initially they promise it would be fixed in Febuary now they are saying end of April.
