Company you can recommend to your worst enemy - three mobile customer service is just awful. I was calling 6x about particular problem before they fixed it.
Other thing Three mobile data signal is very poor. Customer service says you need to contact department about, they will check why signal is bad and will try to sort it out. When connected that department has excuse - your phone is faulty (in our case 7 phones have the same problem with signal). We have situation when 9 people are sitting in one room (iphone 4s, iphone 6, samsung s4, s5, s5, s6, note2 on three mobile; iphone 4 and samsung s5 on other networks). Three mobile's signal is coming and going on all phones - one minute it is here, then dissappears, then again appears, it is jumping between H, H+ and 4G, and it shows full bars, but you can't connect. On all phones the same. Absolutely helpless. Other networks permanently have signal. We are located in London. Here is NO CHANCES to get any help from three mobile customer service. But three mobile will charge you for nonexistent signal properly, 'because you signed contract with us'. For them it is one side contract, they are not obligate to provide service you were expecting when chose to get their simcard. And after that they are shameless enough to try sell you a new contract. Just try to avoid this company!

my story is a tale of two halfs im 12 months into my 15 gig a month contract,i spent the 1st 10 months losing signal unable to download or view video etc,in short it was a disgrace,and i suspect underhanded play to prevent customers using there full allowance,however in the last two months i have had decent service signal and download speeds my sis works for ofcom and has asked me for info,so i will wait and do a proper review in 6 more months to be fair to 3 they do seem to have rectified alot of probs.but you cant advertise 15gig then not have the facilities in place to allow the customer to use it.myself kids and partner are all 3 payasugo phone customers,7 in total spending roughly 350 a month,if 1 goes we all go.

Three signal coverage map shows very good 4G indoor & outdoor coverage at my post code. But in reality, indoor coverage is too bad. 1 bar maximum and no Signals as well. Have reported to three so many times but nothing came out. Won't buy it again!!! 1 star service.

We used a 3 Mi-Fi hub while we were waiting for our permanent Internet to be installed. The signal is terrible it barely ever works but we still get huge additional charges every month as we have apparently gone over our 40gb data allowance even though it is only used about 3 days a month as it is so terrible. We asked for a cap to be put on the account so that when we hit 40gb we don't start getting charged per gb used but we still get massive charges. They've also made it really difficult to cancel. Would not recommend them.

An absolute JOKE of a company!

Where do I start? The only reason I have to use this shower of fools is purely for work purposes.

I ring to top up the broadband and am ALWAYS in a queue. It's impossible to top up on line. They even have a dedicated line for the fact that you simply CAN'T ever top up on line thus incurring overinflated call charges!

You finally get to speak to someone who tries to keep you on line for even longer by trying to pass the time of day!!

After an age you are told that it's all been completed and to simply unplug and replug the dongle and hey presto!

NOOOO ! not the case - guess what? It does NOT get connected so you have to call back AGAIN and go through the whole procedure AGAIN.

I've got wise to this so today I'd gone through this whole frustrating sage and got put through to the 'technical dept' once AGAIN............

Here we go...The 'tech' was telling me how to plug and unplug the dongle - yes been going that for an hour! Next he asks me to take out sim and do a few other stupid things. At this point I asked if I was on the Ant and Dec show. My sarcasm was wasted on him but never mind!

I didn't do any of the things he said but I pretended to. Guess what after another FIVE minutes of stupid instructions the internet came on!!!! I hadn't actually done anything!!!!!!!!!!!

He couldn't believe I'd DARED to not follow his instructions!! lol

They obviously get people to keep calling and waiting until they decide to simply connect you!

WHAT AN ABSOLUTE CON
AVOID THIS COMPANY LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you are purchasing an Apple iPad do not use a 3 sim for broadband. The iMessage does not interact with it so you cannot access the 3 App to top up or change your contract. The call centre I believe situated in India was unhelpful and were not conversant with the interoperability of Apple and 3.
If changing tariffs minimum time to wait is 48 hrs for upgrade which if you are short on data you cannot add whilst you wait.
If you use it for business then that's a nightmare.
Customer Service cannot help you with the above problem as they cannot add or change data.
So beware Cheap but cheap brings its on problems.

AVOID THREE AT ALL COSTS!!! Customer service is appalling, called them today to cancel after 4 yrs and the first person i spoke to said i would incur a charge for cancelling early even though my contract is due up at the end of the month, second person i spoke to called me a liar as i told him i was offered a better deal with another reputable company and was told not only did this well known company supply refurbished handsets but that i would need to pay £60 to cancel early even though my plan is 35 a month. I eventually agreed to pay this amount just so i did not have to deal with this company any more. I was then passed through to another department only to be told on 5 separate attempts that i could not be located on their systems, after 45 mins, 4 different advisors i eventually was able to cancel for a fee of 59.25. I have since contacted the other company who aledgedly sell refurbished handsets to be told this is false and three have used this tactic to pressure other customers into not cancelling. DO NOT BUY FROM THREE, YOU WILL REGRET IT

I had previously been a loyal customer of three; I left them once before (on good terms) only because I found a better deal. So based on my previous good experience of Three I had no hesitation in returning to them. Sadly second time around and the service is dire. I started having problems with my mobile phone (iPhone) very early on in the contract, phone kept freezing and calls kept dropping, texts sending multiple times even though an alert popped up stating message failed to send. I phoned Three Customer Services several times on this issue within the first 12 months; each time they fobbed me off telling me I need to do a factory reset, reboot or install new software. Despite all of this the problems did not go away. My phone contract is now 1yr and 39 days which means that my 1 yr Apple warranty has lapsed but I am still within my 2 year warranty with Three (as I found out today). To rectify the issues which as mentioned have been on-going for the past year; three are now telling me that I need to take my phone to Apple and pay the £300 to have it repaired and only then will they re-imburse me under warranty if the fault is not down to damage. Yet had they dealt with the issue correctly when I first reported it my phone could have been repaired without me incurring any up front costs. My dealings with Three since returning to them has shown Three to be incompetent with poor knowledge, bad record keeping and dire customer care (each phone call taking around an hour of my time). I would not recommend Three to anyone and I will be leaving them never to return as as soon as my contract permits.

I switched from Vodafone as I was lured in by the lower monthly cost and the roaming options. I now regret this hugely as I've had countless issues - data not working at all, extremely slow internet, texts not sending, unable to use virgin media wifi on the tube, phone number not properly transferred over etc. I then had to spend HOURS on live chats/ phone hepline ( the few times it worked) and received 0 help at all! Their customer service is a COMPLETE JOKE! No one calls back when they say they will and I was given the wrong advice MANY times which was a total waste of my time. Rather than help me, 3 customer service asked me the same questions OVER AND OVER again ( cause they clearly can't keep notes) and had to provide very sensitive information to prove my identity WAY TOO MANY TIMES! Customer Service at 3 refuses to be accountable for any faults 3 has and tries to claim there is no issue even when my data won't work at all in many areas. I had to have 8 lengthy, painful conversations to fix 1 problem because 3 refuses to listen. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!! WORST SERVICE PROVIDER!! I have been with Vodafone, O2, Virgin and GiffGaff and they are all far better than this awful network.Even when I tried to lodge a formal complaint, no one contacted me. Their customer service and technical teams are ABSOLUTELY USELESS and TOTAL TIMEWASTERS!

Don't get scammed STAY AWAY " 3 MOBILE " & " 3 RESCUE INSURANCE "

Total SCAM " 3 mobile Rescue & 3 mobile " do not trust a word this company sales ... I purchased new phone and insurance damaged my phone and received a new one after many issues with 3 Rescue, when received they did not have a return package package and I requested many times and this was a month ago... know they are going to charge me £350 because phone not returned and even on my emails and calls they agree it's there fault ... I spoke to 3 Mobile for help and they just say it's not there problem 3 RESCUE INSURANCE is not part of there company even though they sold me the insurance...TOTAL SCAM STAY AWAY FROM 3 MOBILE AND 3 RESCUE THEY WILL SCAM YOU AND THERE CALLS ARE HIGH PREMIUM NUMBERS... !!!! I wish I picked VODAPHONE ( I have put recordings of the SCAM ON YOUTUBE & FACEBOOK ) every day posting ...

This is without a doubt the WORST thing I have ever bought.It simply hardly ever connects - even in areas of reputedly good coverage i.e. major cities and town centres. When it does, the wretched thing invariably disconnects within thirty seconds. It often has a good signal BUT limited service i.e. no internet. On the rare occasions it does actually connect and stay connected for more then thirty seconds, it is slower than dial up used to be! Topping up on line can taker thirty minutes due to the time lag between each of the four processes to do this. Do not buy this product. It is appalling.

Three mobile simple doesn't work in the City of London or in buildings. They can show you 4G sign from time to time but you won't be able to open a website or to check your email for less then 2-3 minutes. The speed and coverage is the worst I've seen ever.
To be honest broadband works a bit better in the country, outside London. But never you will get anything even close to 4G seed.
The prices are quite competitive and free roaming is the best advantage.
There must have the worst network in the UK.

Gloucester is not a good area for broadband and BT does not provide a fibre service in my area so I can't use Sky which I would like to. I could have Virgin Media but they are expensive and unreliable..
Three broadband is steady, I have unlimited and it is reasonably priced at £27 pm. Signal strength varies a lot so I use the personal hotspot on my iPhone which is also with Three. Strength is around 18mbps.
Any information you may have about BT providing a local fibre service would be great.

Mobile 3 is totally unacceptable company please beware!! They will scam you with lies and you will have bailiffs knocking at your door as they are trying to do to my mother at the age of over 80 ... stay away from the insurance they other also as the scam is they replace your phone then no give you a return package then they scam £350 from the card you give for the £100 they requested to charge as the fee for replacement... I which l had purchased from VODAPHONE as people warned me of the scams from 3 MOBILE...STAY AWAY FROM 3 MOBILE OR YOU WILL REGRET..!!!

I cannot login to their website and cannot use their app. They collect money through direct debit and so far I have not been able to see my billing info. Today I called their costumer service and she told me if I want to know the billing details of the number I am calling through I should hang up and she will call me back on it. I hung up and she never calls.
It is starting to feel like outright scam.

HATE HATE HATE having this contract. I went in-store to inquire, as I wasn't keen on paying for expensive line installation in my new house. I had NO idea about how much data I need each month, but the sales assistant reassured me that 15GB was plenty and that she even watched Netflix daily with her MiFi. It seemed like a GREAT idea! £15 a month for a tiny, wireless connection!

I used the internet quite frugally at first, then eventually started a Netflix subscription. My data allowance ran out in two days. I phoned up Three, outraged, but they simply just suggested I don't stream movies anymore. The call centre staffed apologised a million times without offering any solutions. I was passed from person to person with the same reply, so eventually I just gave up. I guess that's why they were so repetitive. I'm so frustrated, I wish the sales assistant in store knew what she was talking about, otherwise I never would've entered into this contract! She had a duty to help educate people like me who had no idea, so now I'm stuck with this ridiculous contract. It's SLOW (Three suggested that it depends on what time I'm online...I could barely load a web page even at 3am) and my data even ran out this month after specifically AVOIDING large streams.

I've tried so hard to get rid of it, but I'm stuck. I've phoned countless times, filed complaints...There's nothing I can do. Thanks Three! Please train your staff better.

Worst provider ever. I hardly go a two month period without the system running slow or not being able to connect at all.

The customer service is about a useful as a chocolate fire tea cup. Every time I got in touch with them, I got someone in another country who didn't understand what I was trying to say, and i usually didn't understand them.

On more than one occasion I was told to take my laptop and drive to somewhere where i could get a better signal. They did not even try to resolve my issues. Ive been with them for three years because they where all that I could afford at the time.

My contract runs out soon and I will not be renewing it with them. as i can now afford a better service.

Would not recommend three to anyone.

I did cancelled my contract with them twice and they charge me £35 after my first cancellation (i did pay and i cancelled a second time the same contract) and they keeps calls me 5 times a day because?i did not cancelled my contract and i need to pay them £40.ive got a few letters from a debt collectors.it was a horrible experience.if you would like to cancel a contract make sure they understands you.

Our Three signal is good (looking at other reviews not everyone checks first). We are in a semi rural area so congestion should not be much of a problem. So far internet speeds have averaged 40-50 MBS, fine for 4k streaming. There is a bit of a lag as you start up, most of our speed tests point out this would not be good for gaming. Our previous fibre was not half of this due to distance from the centre. Reliability has not been 100% with a few days of poor service but compared to BT its about the same. Data transfers, especially uploads, have been extremely quick.
Customer service has been challenging at times, you get get the "we want to help you" type of approach but few will understand exactly what you are saying.
We have the Huawei AI cube (more of a cylinder really) which supplies the whole house fairly well. I use an Ethernet cable for the TV which seems much better for stability than wifi. I had a go at range extending but there seems to be an incompatibility with my tp-link plug in system. I have simply moved the antennas on my remote computer.
All in all very happy so far.

Have got a Huawei E3256 3 Mobile dongle which provides decent reception where I live. However, I have just updated my MAC to OSX Yosemite and the dongle now refuses to connect. 3 weeks after reporting the problem and a further week since complaining, customer support has failed to offer any help or advice. Yes - they're rubbish1

Have been recently burgled and trying to sort things out. 3 proved to be unsympathetic, unhelpful, aggressive and uncooperative. Bombarding me with calls (up to 7 calls in 24 hours) . Foreign operators who cannot understand or care less about our plight. Awful service. Just adds more unhappiness to our distraught situation. Does anyone English work for this company and give a dam??

Oh my the worst company ever. I bought a mobile dongle service to be used abroad in specific countries. It worked from Manchester to London but not beyond. I struggled switching it on and off trying to get it to work whilst abroad with no joy. On return to UK I cancelled the contract - with unbelievable difficulty. Then when final bill arrived they charged me £35 for using the internet. I couldn't understand it and still don't. I argued for several days but they insisted regardless of whether I used it or not I obviously had it on and needed to pay. I still can't get over it. Then to top things up. I sent my sons phone in for repair. The repair service removed the sim card and couldn't work out what they did with it. I ordered a new sim from three and had to pay £5.11. I nearly collapsed other providers replace them for free. There must be a 20K% markup on that bit of plastic. Would never recommend three to anyone. I would give zero stars if it was possible. Telephone customer service an absolute shambles (if you can get through).

Misinformed in Three shop when signing a two year dual service 'watertight' contract. Hours of phone calls to customer service because they do not respond to my complaints on their website. After contacting OFCOM, I have asked them to put things in writing, but they don't. They just ring, which makes it difficult to get the necessary documentation to justify a 'letter of deadlock'. Poor to non-existent mobile WiFi coverage. They advertise free 4G - but don;t have 4G cover in areas where most other providers do.

Very bad experience with Three Mobile. They make you buy a second SIM with a plan, when you buy a phone with them, so you end up paying your device, your normal package plan + another Plan for a SIM. Basically, it's their policy, so prepare yourself to pay! After two years paying my number and another SIM with a basic tariff, that I have never used, they make me cancel this other SIM plan (after the contract expired after these two years) and make me pay another £30 pounds, only to close this SIM, which, of course, I never used.

I am extremely unhappy with Three. I specifically asked for a cap of £80 when I made my contract. This was confirmed over the phone and later on I received a notification that I was close to my limit. I therefore expected it to stay this way.
Months later, I now receive a notification saying that I am close to my limit, so I check and it is at £209. How can this be if I had a limit of £80?
I called them and they denied any responsibility. I asked them to please check the call or speak to the person who made the contract with me. They said their calls are not saved longer than 12 weeks and the cannot speak to the person who makes the contract. I then asked for a manager and was told that I cannot be put through further than to the complaints department.
I asked if there is anything they can do as this is not my fault and was told that they can't do anything and I should be able to manage my usage better.
I had relied on the cap I had requested, which obviously was forgotten and Three is denying to take any responsibility or try to meet in the middle.

Would not recommend! Bought a 1 month dongle plan for £19.99 and the bill came to £25 when i used about 2gb max. I then couldnt access my My3 account to pay the bill because it was blocked - because i wasnt aware of the bill - so i had to call customer services many times to try to work out how to access my account. I ended up paying the £25 bill over the phone but then still couldnt access my account to top up as the sim is for a dongle so cant receive texts which the password would have been sent to. When trying to contact them to change the password they were no help at all and i still havent been able to access my account after trying for a week. I am now on EE which i highly recommend!

1.5 years ago I signed a contract for monthly payments sim only. Unfortunately, the network signal is weak and disappears without a reason, so I decided to break the contract. It was a subscription of 12 pounds a month. 2 bills before deciding came for the amount of 27 and 29 pounds. After the break the contract I got a bill for 62 pounds, with no connection was doing that were on the bill, and some of them were double-counted. Every second voicemail was counted as a minute. I do not recommend, and he never would use the services of this thieving company. I advise everyone to be careful.

The worst provider i ever experienced.. Signal never works,I live in central London and Im never able to use my services, I constantly need to connect any Wi-Fi wether i am at home or outside.
Recently i gave Birth and when it was time for me to rush to the hospital I tried to make a call to reach my husband but the signal was so pooooor that i couldnt get hold of him. Thanks god i could call via whatsapp using the Wi-Fi from another provider ... very disappointed with that company I have to wait for my contract to end so I can stop this ****

Also when I asked for an extension as my bill came so high they wouldn’t allow me ... real rubbish !

I've had a very positive experience so far. Far better value for money than my old network and coverage seems a lot better as I no longer experience grey areas of poor signal.

The customer service has been good, I've only messaged them once but they gave a quick and helpful response. It was easy enough to activate the sim and move over my number. Roaming also works smoothly - I've used it in Spain recently and my 4G was working as normal the whole time and with no extra cost.

Overall my experience with Three has so far been positive. The only problem is the broadband speed during the day in my area which can drop down to 1.5 Mbs/s while at night it is usually between 20 - 30 Mbs/s.
The customer service has much improved over the years in my opinion. Well done Three.

Be warned Three Mobile are allowing third party companies to commit fraud in my eyes and this is why. Three mobile suddenly took out an extra £27.52 out of my account on my bill, I was soon on the phone to see what is going on. They say that another company called Tap2Bill has charged me through my mobile for a service that I have taken out, I know nothing about this at all and told them that this is wrong and obviously fraudulent. They answer telling me that I need to cancel this subscription that I know nothing about and continue after several calls to say this. They tried on one point to do a conference call with this company and was not successful as the phone kept going dead, after a lot of angry words and calls they refunded me this amount but say they should not do this. I ended my two phones with them and now they are saying I owe more charges from this imaginary subscription hence why I am going to advertise this as much as possible because everyone needs to know that this can happen to anyone and if you look online there is hundreds of people having the same problems and getting charged for it and not getting their money back. We as customers are not told from the start about any third party companies that can charge us via our Three mobile. Also be aware that the regulators are aware of these problems yet do not seem to do anything and just say it is between our self and Three. I have now joined BT who on email have stated there will be no extra charges as they do not allow this to happen and have capped all phones to zero so we get no surprise charges (Well done to BT) Be aware people and will update on further communications with Three mobile, a company that in our eyes allows third party companies to defraud their customers and just do not seem to care. Please look out for lots of other reviews and publications and pass on to friends and family of how they do business and how they can do the same to anybody.

Terrible customer service, prices too high and no offers for me being an existing customer. their packages are for so little mobile data compared to everywhere else. I pay £10 for 15GB of data with BT on Monthly contract now. They want £10 for 500MB on monthly contract. What a rip off. Steer clear.

I recently took out 12 month contract for 40g of data for £20.00 per.First month my son download some games on to his xbox and the data ran out within 2 days.Second month i allowed him to play on the xbox for 2 hours per day, within 3 days or 6 hours of playing on his xbox it had ran out again!.I contacted THREE, and the adviser told me it very easy to use this amount of data playing for that amount of time on a console like an xbox or ps4.I do not believe that a console like an xbox or ps4 uses that amount of data.I would not recommend THREE to anyone thinking of using THREE's mobile broadband should think long and hard.I will never use THREE again for anything.

3-MOBILE are not trustworthy!
I do not advise people not to deal with them but to knows this fact from someone with three years experience!
PHONES
On paper everything looks the best in the market but I experienced intermittent mobile broadband signal failure join my phone and have left now to pay more elsewhere in three hope of better quality and lesso lies about " network upgrades etc". I also suffered dozens of nuisance calls for weeks from their Retention team owing me hot deals when I got a PAC code to leave...and that was a torturous process that took ages. As I told them, if only you valued and really looked after your existing customers instead of chasing new business so much you might not piss them off so much they just want to get away at all costs! Many upgrade offers are just old stock they are trying to get rid of for a fast profit...always shop around and NEVER accept what you are initially offered. That is 3-Mobile's game in a nutshell, as is apparently anything something but afterwards secretly giving less our not doing it. They rely on talking customers into submission and on their innocence and/or apathy! It is the Eastern way!
USB Broadband
Half decent service but with intermittent failure. Lost it completely for a month. Sometimes.Indian customer service may say we will put a credit on your account but thry will not...shocking liars, comes naturally, will say anything really but it rarely comes to pass, though the USB dongle people are better than the phone side.to be fair.
I agreed a deal for a laptop + MiFi yesterday but am calling back to check the entire deal & the vfull specs of the machine as I smell a rat. If so I will cancel and never deal with them again.

Your MUST take notes of everything you are told in detail and keep them all as back up for your case in future with 3-Mobile...a very tricky company indeed. I spent time in the East and know what they are like...not to be taken at face value I assure you!

This company has gone from one I used to recommend to people to one I now say to stay far away from. This isn't going to be pretty so lets list all my complaints.

1. Customer services - horrendous & you'll have a hard job understanding what they're saying! If you have any issues, they are completely clueless and insist on reading from a scripted set of questions. 1* rating is too good for them - it should be ZERO.

2. Pricing - they've gone from one of the best (& cheapest) to one of the most expensive. and this cop out CR*p with discounts by direct debit?? Utter rubbish & Tosh. Where they've picked up this practice from, God only knows! Also guaranteed price RISE every year??? Seriously, read their t&c and you'll see..
Also, their contract range is poor & expensive compare to other providers. Serious lack of flexibility to tailor one to your specific needs, so if you end up on the wrong one, they wont allow you to go to a cheaper one, it's always a more expensive option.
And that means you're stuck paying silly prices for up to 2 years!

3. Coverage - zero 4g coverage. 2/3g coverage has gone from good to patchy & pretty much non existent indoors! Tried the phone on different networks and they're all fine so it's a 3 issue.
And 4g?? They paid billions to use the airwaves yet most people don't get it! All the customers get are bigger bills!

4. Product range - Again, compared to others, POOR and expensive - especially on the lower range products. And their tablet selection? If you love apple, you're laughing.. otherwise, atrocious.
Very expensive & all price plans are pitiful.

I'm sorry, but after being with them for many years, I won't be once my current contract ends.
I can't think of any good points anymore for a company which used to be so great...

I would seriously think twice before opting to use them.
