Awful! Tried several providers and Vodafone has definitely been the worst. Paying a bomb for supposedly superior wifi, but in fact often glitches when streaming on just one device, and I've been totally unable to use it for work from the upstairs room in our relatively small house! Useless customer service keeps me talking ages and basically just tells me to switch the channels!

The worst broadband we've ever had. Speed is tempting but what you gonna do with it if you cannot connect to the Internet????? Its like that almost every single day, I have to use my phone mobile data to use it. Its really bad I'm considering cancelling my agreement with them

I got this not that long ago. I was meant to get 500 MB/s but i am averaging about 20-35 MB/s.
Even though virgin media was really bad in my opinion. I'd say it was still better than this.

I have only started with Vodafone Broadband - And I signed up as I have Vodafone for my Phone and everything else so it made sense to me.
Overall, I have been very happy with Vodafone on everything so far... BUT then I got my first broadband bill!
Partly my own fault for not doing enough research... But lets look at the Advertising!
They say 'Join Vodafone Broadband, and you will get NO LINE RENTAL FOR YOUR LANDLINE'
TRUE - VERY TRUE... What they DON'T tell you is that you WILL have a BROADBAND LINE RENTAL CHARGE!!!
So where I thought my Broadband was going to cost £23 a Month - Its actually About £35 a month with the additional Line Rental Charge!!!
Its still cheaper than my previous provider - But IT IS BLATANTLY FALSE ADVERTISING AND I AM NOT HAPPY ABOUT IT!
Needless to say, Once my 18 Month Contract is up - I will be looking to change once more! VERY DISAPPOINTING VODAFONE!!!

Took fibre on with fast speeds promissed or discount given till fixed.After a time speed was still very poor so they gave me a discount till fixed.Months in to contract no attempt to get speed any better. £3 off bill is a cheap cop out when they can't provide anything like what was promissed.A real disappointment.

Moved to Vodafone from Origin and what a difference. On Origin I was lucky to get 10 - 15 Mb and was told my line would not support anything better.
Swap to Vodafone and I now get 50+ Mbs speeds. OK I don't get their guaranteed 55Mbs but they have taken 15% off my payments till they can get 55 so I am happy.
No dropouts, no slowing just a fast reliable connection. The only possible gripe I have is there modem is not the best and the WIFI coverage is not great but you can use your own modem no problem and setup is easy.
I have nothing but praise for Vodafone, brilliant service on a brilliant system, thank you Vodafone.

Customer service is friendly and tries to be helpful, which is nice since I've spent many hours dealing with a delivered failing modem and a modem delivered with no configuration.
We had Plusnet up until Monday and it was always stable as a rock.
We were promised an easy switch, we have been lied to.

Just switched, everything has failed. Can't get the internet working at all, it was meant to be a "simple switch process" but I need to call tech support which is annoying as I have a degree in computing! Might just cancel it.

Avoid Avoid Avoid
Had an activation date for 9th January 2019, surprise surprise it didn’t happen. Have been lied to by every customer service person. 5 days later still no internet. When I said I wanted to complain ( 3rd attempt not been logged) I was asked ‘what did I hope to achieve from complaining).
Worse company ever!

Had it o ver a year and they won't let me get out the best I received has been 50mbps when we are expected 77mbps spend over 48hours total on the phone and not a single employee seems to give a crap about the terrible service they provide.
So if you have to call them bare in mind you'll be on the phone a while and be hung up on for no reason which then they leave a mark on your account to treat you like crap!

Absolutely atrocious. Avoid like the plague.
I have been a loyal Vodafone mobile user for 15+ years. I was paying for EE home broadband and average speed was about 7Mbs for roughly £30 a month.
Saw a Vodafone deal for 50Mbs, with a "guaranteed" speed of 35Mbs for £20 a month. No brainer right?
Well I guess it was a no brainer in the sense that I must have had no brain to sign up with them despite the bad reviews. BELIEVE WHAT YOU READ! They are awful, I am currently averaging 0.7Mbs. I think I had quicker internet in the last millennium.
I won't be paying my broadband bill unless they live up to their part of the deal.

I have been with Vodafone broadband for over 12 months now and feel that is a long enough time to have formed a reliable opinion.
Joining was smooth and the service was up and running without any issues on the morning of the switch over date. Monthly payment was £20 and hasn’t increased in the twelve months since.
Two issues worth mentioning. Around last October my connection kept dropping out for no apparent reason. This was happening quite frequently. Before telephoning, I decided to Google it for a possible solution. The first answer I found suggested changing Wifi channels and explained how to simply do this. I followed the instructions and it now works a treat - no dropping out whatsoever.
The second issue involved my fibre broadband speed. Long story but my speed was low so I telephoned. Customer Service answered quickly and talked me through what checks to try. No improvement, so the operative said she would monitor the line and call me back in 3 days. I held out little hope but she called back as promised and arranged for a Bt outreach engineer to attend my property two days later. He turned up on time, replaced some old, unsuitable wiring on the outside of my house and my speeds have increased from 13 to 35 mbps, with no reduction in the evenings, which some customers have complained of.
I really can’t criticise Vodafone broadband whatsoever and my experience is five stars all round.

I'm reporting one of the biggest con jobs I've come across after BoZo's Brexit lies. In fact I'm open-mouthed at VF's cheek relating to their 'Ultimate Speed Guarantee'. I - as it seems many others commenting here - thought it related to the Internet speed I could obtain on my broadband, and if it went below that figure, in my case on Superfast 2 55Mbps, I'd get a refund. It was only when my tests on Ookla showed that at times I was getting less than half that, I started researching further and eventually downloaded VF's own app on which to check speeds. It was only then - after being told my download speed was 80Mbps did I realise these total shysters measure the speed between my flat and the green box over the road! They then have the cheek to confirm my 'sync speed' is above the USG and presumably I don't get any compensation. Crooks.
To add insult to injury after my complaint to them I was phoned by a very arrogant person in - presumably again - Bombay, who steadfastly refused to understand why I was cross, and basically told me to read the small print.
Like many others, I won't be renewing my contract with this bunch!

I have only been with Vodafone a couple of months but already want to switch away from them due to the terrible customer service I had. We were due to move house and informed them that we needed to set up the broadband at the new house but was told it would take nearly 30 days to complete. We are in the new house still waiting for the broadband activation. I contacted them today to confirm we were still due to be activated soon and got told that they house move had got cancelled on the day I set it up! So we have been waiting for nothing this entire time and they cant even explain why it was cancelled. Neither was I informed that it was cancelled and was told that i would just have to sign up again via the sales team. The customer service is a complete joke.

Truly awful broadband. Continuously cuts out every single evening. Customer support is an Indian call centre who twice promised me callbacks, and failed to do so on both occasions. Raised a complaint online and got a callback from someone in the UK which fixed a modem problem, but not the stability. The provided speed is faster than plusnet; of course this is only when it works. Due to the constant lose of connection (the ps4 once notified me that Vodafone changed my IP address mid download, hence the lost connection to the server), I will be cancelling the contract as soon as I am able, and never returning. They are one of the cheapest on the market for a reason. There are a few reviews on this site giving them maximum scoring. I honestly don't believe a single one is legit.

We fell for the scam of "if your broadband falls below a speed we will refund you". When we first swapped from the really poor talk talk to voda we were getting 27-35mps all good, then 2 weeks in I started slowing. We used they're app to report and they apologised and gave us money off.
Speed was fine until another week went and again it started dropping, again we complained and the response was ..really sorry we can't make it any fast so we will reduce your bill.
Totally missing the point that it's not the money I'm bothered about but the speed. So now we are stuck with 6-11 MPs and tied in to the contract.
What a simple way to poach customers.
Please don't fall for the same scam

Recent reliabilty issues, disconnected for 2+ weeks in October and again for 10 days over Christmas. Not all Vodafones fault, the incompetence ofsome of Openreach's engineers account for some of this. However, the appalling service from most of Vodafone's support team has finally made me decide to terminate my contract with them. Several times calls were ended, online chat the same and various promised follow ups - referrals on never materialised. They seem to think that now they have a larger share of the market customer service has gone by the by.

Awful broadband speed and worst customer service.
They've charged me for a higher package and gave me the service for a lower package. I found out after 6 months and then they've issued a refund!
Now I'm forced into a contract which I can't get out of, but I'm also not getting the speed that is promised.
I've been with BT & Sky, chose Vodafone only because of price! Worst decision.
NEVER EVER USE VODAFONE BROADBAND EVEN IF IT IS FREE!!!

Broadban is easy to connect and speed is good for my need but setting up broadband to meet needs of my family is a total nightmare! I with another provider I could connect to router in offline mode and I was able to set up individual time for each device which is impossible here and softwae is is user unfriednly and very primitive in comparison to other websites. I would not choose vodafone despite a good price if I knew that software is so bad.

Horrible service. Tried to get a broadband with them. Took my money, for 3 weeks didn't manage to send me even a broadband though promised after 7 days to make it life. Had to call them 8 times. Be prepared to stay on the line for 40+min. In the end get hand off on you.
Had reached a lady in customer service, told that I didn't receive my router, she said ''I will manually order it from you, stay on the line''. I stayed on the line, got disconnected, at once called again, reached some other guy and with same adress he wasn't able to verify me and proposed to go to a local branch to verify my ID. Can you believe? I though ou well, maybe the girl will finish what she has started, she knows what I need. No noone did anything.
When I finnally reached them after 3 attempts staying on the line each time 40min. I cancelled the order. And now get the emails that I need to send the router back and if I don't I will be charged 72pounds. It is a total scam not a genuine company. They don't even have an email where you can send a complaint.

I reviewed every comment about Vodafone and hesitated before changing from BT but I'm pleased I decided to take the risk. I've moved to Vodafone broadband from BT, changing my monthly payment from £61.50 (BT) to £26 with Vodafone. Here's my experience:
Application - easy, took a few minutes;
Router receipt - arrived within the promised hour delivered by DPD (DPD are brilliant by the way);
Set up - "Connect in the morning and be up and running by midnight" - well that didn't happen. Plugged in at 9 am, lights on the router all red for 30 SECONDS, two minutes later the lights were green and I was online! Perfect!
Speed - no change from BT fibre II;
Continuity - continuous service NO drop outs - all good after two weeks;
Customer service - received texts and emails telling me what was going to happen and when - and they met their promises;
Overall customer experience - 10/10 delighted.
£35.50 less that BT and I've got the same broadband service.
What's not to like - thanks Vodafone.

If you do a speedtest all is well. Fantastic speeds up and down.
The reality of the service, however, is much different.
I think it’s largely down to the router: I’ve had to buy an ASUS router because the wireless on the broadband router goes up and down constantly. You certainly can’t watch a film or play a game or do a Skype call.
You really should avoid.

After a week long wait of investigation into why my fibre 2 broadband so slow at peak times they called me today to say it’s congestion and that it’s not a technical fault.... they say that as I am getting 62 mbps to the router I can’t cancel my account even though they then throttle the broadband to below 10mbps in peak time .... this is a complete rip off and I advise anybody to stir clear of this disgusting service I will be taking my details and evidence to Ofcom

I believe Vodafone UK are advertising a guaranteed broadband speed or money off. This is terms "the ultimate broadband guarantee". Just don't believe it for a minute.
The reality of the guarantee being based on Sync speed is of no use to man or beast.
Thy Sync speed gives no guarantee to actual broadband throughput.
So you can be happily syncing at 30Mbps / 7Mbps as I am but your throughput will vary from 30Mbps during the day to 3.5Mbps every evening (as mine does). This makes it
impossible to do anything at any decent speed.
Vodafone support (on phone which takes litrally hours to get through to) will take you round the houses trying to diagnose it but in reality they know they cannot delivera guaranteed throughput. If you do nail them down to not fixing the problem they blame Openreach for a "Red Cable Link Issue" (whatever that is, sounds like it's designed to scare customers off). If you push them further they will quote your contract "sync speeds" are being provided as per contract. This leaves you in the position of having extremely poor broadband speeds every evening but locked into an expensive contract.
BTW don't bother with online chat they onl having restricted access to your account and have very little skilled knowledge. They even gave me a ticket
reference number which wasn't even a ref number, it was my account number.
So all in all, pretty poor support around a service designed to stop you getting good speeds every evening (as in my case, fully documented with Vodafone support and now going through an OfCom process).
Avoid at all costs.

Horrendous experience already and not even connected yet. Day 2 into contract and already been given 3 different activation dates. Now without broadband completely. Apparently there is a fault on my line even though my sky broadband was working perfectly yesterday morning before they took it over. Big big mistake moving from sky and intend to cancel the contract

Left Sky to go to Vodafone. Activation/swap over on time and all good. Router arrived before this date as promised so from a customer service point of view not complaints. Router comes pre-fixed with a lot of features enabled that I think slows down/impairs performance. After a few days speed had massively dropped and connection was wavey. They do optimise the line in the first ten days but it shouldn't cause so many FEC corrections and errors/speed drops. Switching a lot of these off on the router appears to have fixed this. Speed has been 63mpbs continually, no drops and wi-fi speed all over a three storey house is very good and a huge improvement on Sky. So far so good but router needs tweaking, app is a nice touch although the "beam wi-fi" feature appears to have gone.

My broadband activation date was tomorrow on the 11th December. Today I called vodafone to ask why I had still not received my new router, I was told that my order had been cancelled as it had 'fallen through the cracks'. Lots of apologies and was told that I would have to re-create the order and join the back of the queue. Pretty awful service really.

Just got the Superfast2 activated on 23rd of November. The advertised speed was guaranteed 55mbs and guess what, it never got over 4mbs in between 4pm-11pm(peak time). Barelly can load a browser page. I complained more that 20 times to their first line techincal useless team wich are making the same useless and pointelss diagnostics. They don't have a clue of what is happening and a clue of how to solve issues. Techteam 2 on the other hand, a bunch of inconsistent liars, every time they got a service ticket they are marking it as solved, and every time nothing real being made. Liars full of ***t. I you want to get a stable reliable ISP, avoid this one wilt all costs.Pay more if necessary

Waited 3 weeks for activation to only find out that the address was incorrect (it was the flat above who got disconnected from her internet as a result). They then had to do a complete new order with the ‘correct’address where I had to wait another 2 weeks, to only find out the address was wrong AGAIN. It was now a different block completely. I then finally find out that my address is not on the system and therefore had to cancel it altogether. 2 weeks later anf I am still waiting for my refund. Definitely do not recommend them and not wish for anyone to endure the anger and time I have had to with them.

Shocking. Having switched from SSE (which was excellent) having been taken in with the Vodafone space game TV marketing the service has been totally unacceptable. I rarely get above 3Mb/s in the day from my 37Mb/s fibre connection entirely as a result of capacity issues on the Vodafone network. Having complained nothing other than BS from the Vodafone rep. Now requesting early release from my contact. Totally unacceptable. Avoid.
