I wish I'd never used Vodafone for broadband using their Gigacube. We have two, one at home and one at work and they are worse than diabolical.
Several reboots are required a week to even get service although speeds are good for the first 10 minutes after a reboot.

The two routers are in seperate towns so its not a mast issue.
We pay for the unlimited service which is supposed to give unlimited everything and as fast as possible. Its simply not true.

Honestly, do yourself a favour and steer clear of this service.

Honestly steer clear! I've been with Vodafone for 2 months now and probably only had 1.5 months worth of internet, doesn't sound too bad but when you work from home it becomes an issue. Customer service is absolutely shocking. You won't get anything out of them on live chat but copy and paste messages & slow as hell to resolve any issues. If I had the choice this would be a 0 star review.

Swopped from Talk Talk to Vodafone due to proce rise. Router could not send out signal needed to operate my Home Security, laptops etc. Only thing that worked was a Firestick. Called fobbed off speed issue would improve...not speed router is a POS...which they have altered so you cannot change channels etc. 3rd day called Talk Talk booked new activation; day before live phoned vodafone to cancel within 14 days. Got £100 voucher from deal...got £100 ,from Talk Talk. I shudder to think what service vodafone would be like...being fobbed off and lied to by a call centre in India gets tedious when you are sitting 2 foot from a router to allow an internet connection. Useless provider DO NOT go anywhere near them.

Contract is for a max speed of 76: Current download speed is 2.1 and upload speed is1.2, which are regular occurrences. According to Vodafone this is"quite acceptable and there is nothing wrong with my service"
I've asked them to explain how this can be the case, but they tell me that everything is OK and there is nothing they can do.
Having put up with this service for abou three years there is something I can do, and have now done; I have signed up with a new supplier who I hope will give me the service that I am paying for.
Suggest that anyone thinking about Vodafone gives them ma wide berth. They aren't interested in sorting problems, and given their atrociously bad speeds and service, take money under false pretences!!!

Internet has gone down twice in one month, each time for a period of days! Have to hassle daily to get it back up. Both times they promised £8.06 a day for outage, and yet nothing has ever appeared on my bank statement. Requested again. Another promise. No money. Incredulous.

Ordered the broadband and they said it will take 2 weeks. A week before, online chat with India's admin team and they said everything is fine. Checked and 2 days before activation because I had not receive the hub and then said everything will be fine. Only on the activation that they told me the order was cancelled and I had to wait another 2 weeks. Shocking. Went with TalkTalk instead.

Installation was a nightmare - I was promised a date and it was actually installed months after, leaving me without any broadband for weeks. Customer service throughout was a nightmare with endless phonecalls with clueless staff and no continuity in support.

I eventually got a compensation deal which was way less than they would have been forced to give were they a member of the ofcom automatic compensation scheme, that they have said they're joining imminently for several *years*. They refused to negotiate and I didn't want to deal with the paperwork for the regulator, so had to accept their pathetic offer.

Finally, the router they provide does not allow you to change the wifi channel, forcing all sorts signal strength issues and interference with bluetooth, etc. Baffling.

Almost impressed to find a worse provider than Virgin Media.

Vodafone are a terrible provider. They lied about the speeds I could obtain. They then claimed I had to wait 2 weeks for speeds to "settle down" to reach maximum, which took up the cooling off period. Then speeds were no better. Speeds have constantly fluctuated generally 50% lower than the promised speed. Additionally customer services claim that you can give notice until the contract ends, therefore the promised 18 month contract becomes 19. Yet another dishonest business practice. My recommendation would be to avoid at all costs and try to find an honest broadband provider

There was an internal administration error at Vodafone which caused our broadband internet to be disconnected. After spending hours on the phone with Vodafone support being switched from one person to another, we were told that it will take 14 days to reconnect back to the internet. This is unacceptable as we work from home and Vodafone’s mistake has caused us a lot of inconvenience and stress. We decided to cancel our contract and will be looking for another provider. We have been with Vodafone for years and their customer service and technical support used to be a lot better.

Recently signed up for broadband and TV. An 'engineer' hurriedly came out plugged in a box and left. It didn't work. I called Vodafone. They said wait for 48 hours. I did and called again. They said wait longer. I did and then was told someone had forgot to close my order and that had now been done so would be working in 24 hours. It did not so I called again. I was told an engineer would be out within 24 hours. Nothing for 48 hours so I chased up via email their twitter page which just said "someone should call you". I just had a call to tell me an engineer will be out in 4 days. This is already 60+ hours after I was told an engineer would be out to me in 24. Everyone completely unapologetic as well, really wish I'd read these reviews before signing up. Will be cancelling ASAP.

I made a big mistake by switching to Vodaphone from Sky, Sky said my package was going up by 50% so thought I would look elsewhere. Phoned VP and agreed a new package, received an email and discovered they had put me on the wrong tariff, they asked me to phone them on activation date and they would upgrade me to the package I asked for. Phoned on activation day, they said I should call again the next day because my account had not been set up yet. Takes ages to get through btw. Received router, only to find I can't get a wifi signal upstairs in the bedroom, never had an issue with Sky. Called VP this morning, they said I should have been told when I took out the package (Superfast 2)that the signal would not reach other rooms, I said was not told this and would definitely not have gone with VP is this was the case. They now say I have to pay an extra £6 per month to get their Pro account. This means I will now be paying more than Sky's offer. Was put through to three different departments, one said a technician would come to my house to install Pro, next person said this was rubbish. Arrrggghhhh!!!! Don't not use VP if you can help it.

Avoid this company at all costs.
I have been with their broadband service for 18 months and my contract comes to an end in 4 weeks time. During the whole of the 18 months the service has been absolutely dire - by far the worst service I have ever received.

    The problems:
Download speed estimated at 35mbps when the order was placed - with a guaranteed minimum speed of 24mbps. I have NEVER received 24mbps never mind anything anywhere near 35mbps. My speeds have varied between 7mbps and 20mbps (with an average I would estimate at 15 to 16 mbps)
Dropout - the router signal drops out on average 3 to 4 times a day (sometimes only for a few minutes but very disruptive nevertheless)
Upload speed - non existent at around 1mbps
Customer service - absolutely dreadful. You go through the same routine every time you call (and always asked to send them a photo of your internet connection !!)
The app - all but useless. Doesn't work most of the time and when it does it is inaccurate. Supposed to be used to contact customer service - don't bother, it doesn't work.
And guess what - now I'm in my final month with renewal coming up my speed has suddenyl shot up to 27mbps download and 7mbps upload. Well they aren't going to con me into staying with them.

The problem, after reading the reviews is - who do you trust to provide a good service?

I ordered my vodafone broadband online taking them up on an offer of a £75 gift voucher after 120 days, the time has come to claim my voucher and vodafone have passed the buck to a third party called giftcloud who have no record of my purchase despite me sending them a copy of the "proof of purchase email". They say Vodafone have no record either???? So how come Ihave a vodafone router and vodafone take money from my account.
I only took their offer as it worked out cheaper over the contract by having a £75 voucher.
Deceitful misleading uncooperative I'll never use vodafone again!!!!

I thought I knew better then all the negative reviews, they can't really be that bad I thought!! Well I really wish I'd listened, DO NOT go near this company, at first my broadband speed was fine then after about 6 months it became shockingly slow, their tech support couldn't fix the issue so they gave me a 15% discount, I was getting less then 50% of the speed I should have been getting but only a 15% discount! Would not let me terminate my contract and they were meeting the guaranteed minimum speed, read the small print because it's worded like this...
    - Your estimated speed 50MB
    - Average Speed 62MB
    - Minimum speed 40MB
    - Guaranteed Minimum speed 25MB

I foolishly thought the mimimum speed was the minimum i would get, currently getting just over the guaranteed minimum, strange how I was getting much faster at first when I coould terminate my contract for free..

So, termination fee, according to the price plan I signed up to should be £4.62 a month for remaining term on my contract, taken from the price plan in the terms and conditions on their website and also from the email they sent me when i cancelled! Except my final bill is much more than this amount, why? After speaking to multiple (useless) customer service agents they tell me that the way this is calculated was changed in Feb of this year and the price plan on their website and email is old and outdated! Have they just made that up? I mean it's right there in black & white in their own terms and conditions!

Please, please trust all the negative reviews and do not touch this company! I thought I knew better, I did not...

This is categorically the worst company, their business processes are so rigid they do not allow for any human in their services. This company cost me £7500 because they got my address wrong twice and because of their ridgid processes we got stung for stamp duty because of a two month delay caused directly by errors by Vodaphone.

When I rung up to stay that there was intermittent delays on the line the customer service agent laughed and said of course there is it happens and wouldn't do an investigation.

This company's business policies are so far away from customer interests they may as well have a motto, 'Customers- do we care? No- just give us your money'

You will be directed to use their app. This is a con you will spend 20 mins talking to 3 different people, each time explaining the problem then be transferred to the phone where you will have to explain again. On the misfortunate days where I have needed to speak to them the average interaction time has been 45 minutes.

Avoid this company at all costs

Appalling. They cut us off without warning. We phoned, they said another company had taken the line (VB are required to give you notice if this has happened, so it might not have been true. Five months into a 24 month contract so we couldn't afford to leave even if we'd wanted to). Took five (working) days and ten hours of a combination of phone calls, and chat on their execrable app to restore own broadband connection. Their helpline drops calls, a lot, one of the 'help'ers phoned us back when this happens, two did not.

Signed up for Vodafone broadband and all was ok until the day of activation. They called me to cancel the engineer visit as apparently not needed but then the service hadn't gone live by midnight. Number of calls later it turns out that the socket in my house needed work (engineer hadn't checked line) and would need to be moved.

All a hassle so cancelled and had to call repeatedly to get it finalised and was still receiving demands for payment after cancellation confirmed. They're also unable to send confirmation emails despite being a comms company.

They just seem very disorganised, wouldn't recommend.

Extremely disappointed to the Vodafone broadband service! The internet has been continuously disconnected since I switched to Vodafone few months ago, almost once every 2 months, which affected my work seriously! Their outsourcing engineer Openreach is just crap, they came to fix it for several times, but never get the problem resolved, the internet keeps disconnecting from time to time! At the end of May, the internet was disconnected again, after many calls and complaints made, they eventually get the internet fixed after 6 days, I ended up had to work at my friend’s place during these 6 days, this is how ridiculous their broadband service is.…

Vodafone have delivered the worst customer service I have experienced from any supplier ever. As a small business owner with 11 phone lines on the account, they make it very difficult to get any help at all when you need it (even to take out more lines). They don't want to speak to you and do everything possible - via their awful automated lines - to punt you off to a web chat, FAQ, or anything which means they won't have to actually speak to you and provide a service. Webchats are ridiculously long winded and the waiting times for calls are terrible. Expect to waste an hour of your time if getting in contact.

Add in the despicable sneaky charges which get bolted on to your account even when you expressly ask them not to be (for Securenet).

They cut off one of lines in February in error and when they were asked to reconnect it, they started the contract again (and started charging us for securenet again). The line should now be out of contract, but they are now claiming it is not out of contract because it was connected in February! I've raised 2 complaints about this and weeks later have had zero updates. I'm currently on the phone to them while writing this (1hr and 2 mins so far) and it's quite obvious they have no idea about the complaint!

It appears that when you enter into a contract with Vodafone, you are obliged to uphold your side of the bargain; i.e. paying bills on time, but they aren't obliged to uphold any minimum level of customer service. You, as the customer are just required to suffer whatever standards they wish to offer (or not). When the service becomes so unbearable that you need to change providers, they'll gladly charge you excessive cancellation fees for the pleasure of having suffered them. They clearly have no regard for their reputation and the lost revenues they must suffer through the terrible customer reviews. I'll certainly do my best to make sure as many people on as many sites as possible are aware of what they will be facing if they are thinking of using Vodafone.

    539. That's the number of minutes spent on the phone with Vodafone in 2021 so far, sorting out issues which they've caused! And that's before I just discovered that once again they haven't cancelled one of the lines we asked to be cut off ages ago and we're still being charged.

Would strongly urge any business owner who values their own time and some simple customer service to stay away. Will be moving all of our lines to another provider.

I have been with Vodafone for just over two years now. Started on the superfast plan but didn't quite get the speed I was supposed to however as stated vodafone gave me a discount for the remainder of my contract. I've had no connection issues as others mention and I have always had good experiences with customer services who have always been very polite and helpful resolving any issues. My area now has the full fibre broadband on offer which I'm due to have connected tomorrow. For me Vodafone have been my best provider for the money.

Stay well clear of this company. I pay for 900 mbps and have consistently received 60% - 75% below this. Combined with continual drop outs and a seeming inability to play nicely with Sky Q make this one to avoid. Their customer service is appalling with operatives continually lying. They say the problem will be fixed within days and then repeat this lie every time you speak to them. They treat customers as though they are gullible idiots. They lie about having received your test results, they lie about having received City Fibre test results. They blame City Fibre for the fault saying that there is nothing wrong at their end even though City Fibre have confirmed that there is no fault with the line. They deliberately slow walk your complaint so that they get another month's payment from you. They have the absolute nerve to say that on a FTTP Ethernet connection, that your router is in the wrong place! When you ring them (again) with a case reference number, they keep you on the line while they "review" the case. What sort of professional company has a complaints dept that doesn't dynamically update the database to reflect the latest situation for that individual case? An amateur company with no regard, respect or, care for it's customers, that's what. FTTP is supposed to be a "Symmetrical" system where Upload and Download speeds are meant to be identical, my upload speed averages 920 mbps while my download speed averages 270 mbps so as you can see it is far from symmetrical. Vodafone are incapable of diagnosing the problem and even less capable of fixing it. As I said in my opening, stay well clear of this company.

I should have 900Mbps and i never had this speed. usually is 100Mbps to max 600Mbps. I stop paying them £48 p/m for do not delivering what we had in contract. Raise case in CEDR and win. Very poor customer service.

When all working fine, it's fine, and getting good speeds.
But I've experienced poor reliability with broadband connection drops happening frequently across the weeks. This was accompanied by very poor customer service in trying to resolve the issue. I spent 4 months trying to get Vodafone to diagnose and resolve frequent broadband outages. These were happening a few times a week regularly interrupting my ability to work from home. After 4 months of lengthy calls, repeatedly explaining the situation multiple times over to various staff, they closed the case citing 'Your connection issues are below the threshold of 8 drops a day so we wouldn't investigate this'. They have 'kindly' let me out of their 2 year prison contract so now I'm moving to another ISP.
If you have any broadband issues, don't expect Vodafone to sort it, no matter how many times they use "rest assured" straight out of their customer phrase book.

    DO NOT USE VODAFONE.

Put in my order for broadband on may 6th. Even though i read reviews, i figured - it'll be fine. It can't be that bad.

+ 14 days after filing order : First order was delayed - had to call them up on activation day(14 days later) and they told me that there's a system error and it is being solved.
+ 17 days after filing order - received a call that the order has been cancelled by mistake and was asked to put in another order
+ 30 days after filing first order - checked order status, activation date was supposed to be tomorrow - order cancelled by vodafone. Contacted customer support and was asked to give them another chance and they'd offer me first month for free - that'd take another 14 days before new activation date. in total 44 days and that's worth 35 pounds for them. What a joke.

Don't use vodafone - go with anyone else, but them. It's just ridiculous that vodafone can't get their systems in line.

Moved providers to Vodafone. They told me to set up an account. When I tried to do this it didn't work. After one and half hours on live chat, speaking to 6 different people they told me there was a technical issue and try again in 48 hours. Tried again in 48 hours but still didn't work so called customer service. For some reason my pin didn't work which I'm not sure why as it was my daughters year she was born and it worked 2 days earlier. Therefore no one would talk to me and told me I have to travel 45 mins on a train to a local store to prove who I was. I finally got through to someone with half a brain and cancelled the contract before it started. I think I had a lucky escape!!!!

I had Vodafone broadband for two years and my speed averaged between 6-10 Mb in download and 1-0.5 in Upload, and an average of 10-20 drops of the line of 1 minute each every day. I had 8 engineers coming trying to fix the speed and constant drops but nobody managed to solve the problem. So overall this by far my worst broadband I ever had. I also tried to apply for the 15% discount through the App, but like the staircase that leads to nowhere, the same happened to my claim. I'll make sure to tell everyone how awful Vodafone broadband is.
