Coverage on this router is pathetic. Customer service isn't good either. Tried to keep us for 2 yrs but we decided to change provider in the end. Took international 500 min calls free per month but when we need to ring, no connection. Totally wasted money and time on this service.

Speed Drops in between almost no connection for 1 day. Customer service is pathetic, online chat done respond for few hours and called different person in a day for new plan each gave different price for same plan no consistency. Speed is ok not very good.

Terrible broadband. Keeps stuttering and the speed is terrible.

We had sky q installation last year but was installation was installed wrong we were only getting 1% instead of 20% so the engineer told us so for a year we paid it for a full year but when we made a complete we were told that it was not there fault so we have given them 31 days notice

Our Sky broadband is horrendous! The connection drops multiple times a day and when it can be bothered to work it's painstakingly slow. Reporting the issue, switching boxes and adding a microfilter has done nothing. When my Dad attempted to fix the problem about a year ago he was coerced by a pushy salesman to lock in to the contract for another 18 months or he was told they couldn't send an engineer out (who was no help at all). The packages seem reasonable but they're hugely unreliable and everyone else I know whose internet is provided by them hates theirs too.

Joined in January 18. Was suggested my speed would be 15mbps.

My actual speed is 4.5mbps. The line drops out regularly and after 6 weeks the price has increased by £1.25 per month.

Need I say more...avoid sky broadband. It may seem cheap but it most definitely is NOT worth it.

Ok. It almost never cut off which is good. However, everythinf else about sky is dog crap. With broadband speeds peaking at 1mbps, the website lying that its 5, at prices where with virgin, you can get 200mbps for a bit more, and gaining customer support through live chat is borderline a miracle, we'll be switching our IPS VERY SOON.
NOT recommended. I wouldn't take sky if it PAYED me.

I have been with Sky for three months. Unimpressed that the billing failed to give the advertised price/discount on the second month and this did take three calls to sort out and a day of waiting.
However - all has been sorted and the broadband service has been consistently high speed and stable. The router isn't brilliant but that is of Zero consequence as my setup does not require it (Devolo wireless power line).
The one irritating thing Sky did last week was to increase their call prices mid-contract. I despise this manoeuvre and so went to leave them under the 30-day option. However after trying to move to an appalling provider I have stayed now with Sky.
Why? - It makes such a difference being able to speak to somebody in the UK. Not worth £4 a month saving to lose language.

AVOID SKY AT ALL COSTS.

The WiFi would cut off a few times a day and you could t connect more than 2 devices without it’s going snails pace.

They charge us £1300.00 all in all for a year of tv and broad band? ...... obviously not worth it.

Then you get through to a sky agent that’s supposed to help you.. turns out to be a right arrogant and cocky so and so.

Sky need to sort their customer service.

First of all, I'm not that far from my local exchange cabinet, so I get 41 MB every single time I test my line. However, the customer service side of things isn't great, in fact it's utterly disgusting to say the least. When you have a problem with your bill (mine in this case) and you explain to them in detail exactly what the issue is, they start to over-talk me like I'm some kid who doesn't get what they're trying to tell me, it's like school all over again but with such a rude and insecure attitude inflicted upon me for no reason whatsoever, just because I mentioned I couldn't afford the TV package I was paying for during the duration of my contract, which apparently was £127 to get out of it, which I was willing to pay until they mentioned they'd wave off (in a rude tone) the termination charge on the grounds that I'd be no longer entitled to Sky TV services ever again except for Broadband and Phone, which is absurd, because I was willing to pay the exit fee anyway. Bare in mind, all this was said and done in the "Customer Priority department" which apparently deals with "Abusive customers". All's I can say is, avoid if you're looking for exceptional customer service, for example Plusnet.

Worst broadband provider ever. Ages to get it set up in the first place. Horrible costumer service, with helpline instructed to lie costumers and no competence to sort out any issues at all. Would definitively not recommend.

Sky is the worst broadband I ever had I wish if I could give 0 star. they stole my money and they provided me with rubbish service i started with then for 28.99 and they they started to gradually increase my bill until it reached 49.99 i called them and they told me that they offer me fibre broadband for 22.99 now i saw my bill for 49.99 again and its not only about the money their service is completely rubbish i don't advise anybody to go with them they are liars and their service is terrible.

Highly not recommended

Unfortunately Sky have lost the ability to provide any sort of customer service

My high Speed fibre broadband has been down now for a week and I cannot get through to Sky dispite numerous phone calls

Openreach have confirmed there is a local cable fault and Sky won't apply any assistance to get it resolved.

HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED
I gave it a one star because there is no option to give less than one star. After we called customer service it helped for about one hour and after the speed changed back to its normal slow speed.Looks like SKY lies to people and makes it look like they are helping but actually they do nothing.Its a good way for making money but I dont think it will last very long.We will definately change SKY for a honest internet provider.We will 100% find something a LOT BETTER.

cant organise a simple broadband install. Ordered on 26th Jan and still not installed a month later. Worked for a week then cut off and changed my telephone number. All the staff are rude and don't seem to care, perhaps they are not paid enough to care.

Sky is the worst broadband I ever had I wish if I could give 0 star. I should get an 35mgb with an average of 17 they said when I call them but I have never got any more than 7mbg with an average of about 4.5 mgb. Rubbish rubbish rubbish

Moved to Sky from BT. Landline down since Friday. Not Sky's fault but Sky is impossible to contact - always busy and cut you off every time. Wouldn't mind so much if they could be in contact. Now trying by messages and have been waiting four hours. Dreadful customer service, wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

sky broadband in this area is rubbish!! download .35mbs/2.0mbs upload 0.1mbs .drops out all the time, loads of problems with "Q" box. no fibre for the foreseeable future!! according to BT Openreach . only i.8 miles from BT exchange.third world!!!!

We had sky broadband about 5 years ago and it was fine but we got a better deal with BT so we changed. It was pants so when the contract ran out we went back to sky but this time it was worse than BT. It's slow continual buffering, drops out , freezes and has to be reset. Don't bother. Worst of all when you call they are unhelpful.

I’d give less than 1 star for speed if I could..... paying for sky unlimited..... use to get speeds of 1.5Mbps which was awful....in the last few months the speed as dropped and dropped to the point where I’m constantly resetting the router to get an extra 0.1.... currently sitting at 0.21Mbps

In context my phones 4G gets 13Mbs and my first ever dial up modem back in the 90s was only 4x slower....

Terrible customer service. Sky disconnected my phone and broadband a month before the agreed date. While admitting it was entirely their mistake, I was offered no solution or compensation for their errors. Extremely frustrating.

Assuming you never have to deal with the company, the actual broadband is average.

I decided to leave this review after seeing many negative comments about Sky. I moved from an outrageously expensive BT deal to Sky. The switchover was trouble free. When I moved, the broadband was set up without problems at the new property. I’ve had excellent service and support from Sky. I don’t know about other companies, but every person I’ve spoken to at Sky has been easy to understand, helpful, and ‘human’.

I’ve had a couple of internet outages late at night (2am) and one during the day that lasted a couple of minutes and where I received a text notification before it happened. That’s in 2 years. My only complaint is the Sky router. Compared to the BT router I had, Sky’s wireless signal is not as good, I can’t maintain a connection at the far end of the house, and I do not live in a mansion! I switched off wireless on the Sky box and added the BT one for wireless only. Not ideal but it works.

Don’t hire sky Broadband, the network is not working.
Two weeks ago we have a problem for 4 days. Today is not working again, we called them and said an engineer will come on Thursday, what??? Yes, next Thursday!! One week without broadband. Who is going to pay me all this inconveniences. I have to work. This situation is an acceptable. Don’t hire Sky!! Take my advice.

I am currently looking for a cheaper deal with broadband.
I cant however fault SKY, never any issues with my fibre broadband, I get 38Mb when hardwired to the router, something I think other users ( who complain ) don't actually do. they probably base their experience on doing a speed test via Wifi, not a good test. SKY are also open to negotiation when it comes to them possibly loosing your business.

Since sky changed my router 6 months ago i have had literally no broadband, can only connect one device or it just kicks us off, worst customer service, lied to, called a liar, cancelled all my package as promised phone calls back etc and nothing! spent over 8 hrs being passed from different advisors! never again will i go back to sky!

Had sky broadband in our flat now for almost 7 months and I would say we have had problems every day since. The internet consistently drops out roughly 10 times per day/evening meaning gaming, sttreaming and general browsing is a real challenge. I am now happy to say we are soon to be fully switched over to Talk Talk after this terrible experience. I would not recommend this awful service to anyone. Good riddance.

I was guaranteed minimum access speed of 27.4mb on my Sky Fibre contract. Its only ever been 20-22mb. I had a Sky engineer come to test internally and externally to find out what the issue was. When left he told me the connection was 30mb, I run about a dozen Broadband Speed tests..is was 3-6mb he had made it worst. This lasted for about 3 weeks. Now its at 23mb. Disappointed with SKY to be honest.

What a joke sky is. Meant to get up to 38 but on average getting 17-20 which is not what I'm paying for and they really don't care. When you call they get you to do all the work to try and sort it out which again is a joke.
Tell you what sky as I'm only getting half of what I'm paying for how about I only pay half ?
