Has turned absolute rubbish. Been with them a bit and changed to fibre plus but for 3 weekks now am getting less than 5mbps. Done their stupid tests and now gotta wait even longer to do more even though they can see im getting crap speeds. Seriously bad service and so not happy. Think they need to sort out their response times

Signed up with post office broadband on the 27.10.18 on 12 month contract. Go live date was 12.11.18 for broadband and phone. Despite 2 phone calls to customer services the router never arrived. Phoned again on 10.11.18 and was told the router had not been sent out yet. I cancelled and went elsewhere. AVOID.

Post office broadband must be the worst broadband provider I have ever been with, it is guaranteed to drop connection at least a dozen times a day, the speed for me is about the same as other service providers I have used (even better than sky at least) . I personally believe that it's not just the line but the maim problem is the routers, I feel that they cannot handle the data transfer and therefore disconnects when it gets overwhelmed. if they sort this problem out I may consider staying with them but if not I will be changing.
my advice would be to shop around and make the post office your last resort...

Mother in law aged 75 got broadband for first time from PO. Told would have broadband speeds of between 9 and 15 Mbps. She bought her first ipad and discovered her speed when using wifi was actually between 0.1 and 0.4, that was when the signal was strong enough to allow her to run a speed test! I spoke to customer services for her and was told she would have to run three speed tests over the course of a day and submit them. She did this and was then told wifi tests were no good as BT will only accept a test from a lap top connected by an Ethernet cable. I called the technical department to advise them she does not own a lap top and was basically told that was not their problem and in any event broadband and wifi were different services and they were not responsible for wifi speeds and people needed to ask the right questions before signing up. Bottom line was they would not do anything but would put me through to customer services who could arrange to compensate her as she was being charged from the 24th her start date even though she did not even receive her modem until the 29th. Held for customer services for almost 30 mins and then hung up. She is contacting another provider tomorrow! Can't give a star rating AVOID

After 6o'clock till 12o'clock you might aswell not have the internet, shocking speeds of 2.99 broadband, works in day time hardly works at night. worse than a dialup connection,PostOffice are simply the WORST possible broadband you could have, fobbed off by customer service about the line needs changing, new box, dsl...all total rubbish and lies, just look at the reviews here, they don't deserve 1 star...total sham service

7 Days into my contract thought there would be a cooling down period where you can cancel if your not happy with the service but no apparently you can only cancel for 14 days up to your activation date! which means when you realize how bad there service is your stuck with it for a whole year! they will trick you into a contract by offering you a low monthly rate but is not much good when you realize that your Amazon Fire Stick doesnt work and all they can say is wait 10 days for optimisation of your hub, and can i cancel if i'm still not happy yes of coarse they say as long as you pay us £140!. They have no faith in there service which is why they wont allow you to cancel once you have tried it, how can you tell if your happy if they wont let you try?

Service not fit for purpose. Asked to cancel service and told I would have to wait 15 days. Still waiting 17 days after, had to contact them again and I was told there had been a mis communication and I hadn't been done. There was no mis communication on my part I made it perfectly clear. I now have to pay for another 15 days while they decide to disconnect it. Disgusting service.

The account is cancelled before it even starts and wish I'd read reviews beforehand. DO NOT TOUCH THIS COMPANY.....

This broadband is rediculous I had been on this broadband for 1 year before realising they had put down the wrong address and then they was blaming us for it after we told them lots of times, my neighbour was going crazy, I do not find this funny and they should take responsibility for there actions. I pay £20+ every fortnight and the internet is so slow its not usefull for streaming because it just goes red on the box. I don't recommend this to anybody because I am ashamed to do so it is good for the price but not worth the hassle at all.

Broadband constantly cuts out, showing only a red flashing light. Told to change filter still no improvement. Your lucky if the internet works in a different room to where the router is. When speaking to the customer services team for a second time they told me I had cancelled my account and then changed their story to me changing address, neither is true and when speaking about cancelling my account there was multiple attempts at guilt tripping me into staying. Appalling customer service.

I tried other well known competitors for a 12 month Broadband contract only to be told that I need to pay (up to £100) for an engineer to come out re the phone line and, in one case, came in for a really hard sell in relation to fibre. I rang the Post Office and everything was arranged quickly and easily. No call out- they just swapped the line over- and everything else happened as stated; the router arrived through the post and the service began on the date agreed. I received correspondence throughout and, so far, couldn’t be happier!

Today we have had over 42 drop outs with the modem turning red.
We have been with the post office for over 2 years and have had the engineering people out multiple times. They can't understand what's wrong and post office customer service always blame the filter and say it needs changing (we have a draw full of changed filters) these cost £1 each from any hardware shop.
Our bill started off at £18 a month now it slowly went up monthly and now it's £40-43 a month for a service we don't recieve ontop of the bill we pay subscription charges on Amazon and Netflix and disneylife so we lose out on all when we can't watch them
We are giving our money away and today we have emailed them with a complaint as loyal customers who never missed a payment they either fix this or they permanently cut us off ontop of that the router is not as secure as they make out as there has been network attacks by IP spoofers so have demanded a full investigation if nothing gets done we will take the matter up with the local citizens advice bureau and the ombudsman as it causes stress and arguments in the home when the devices and TV goes off. Customer service seem to be quite understanding and say they wouldn't be happy either but when there's been over 50 calls there going to say anything. If they carry on with a network that doesn't work there going to lose all there customers.
We will either get the router turned off permanently and never get broadband in again or move to sky.
This service is terrible we are basically giving our money away for nothing

Take this advice - Post Office broadband is absolute rubbish. It will not allow you to print via wi-fi don’t bother with it at all. The customer service is shocking and support don’t know what they are talking about. Only got it last Friday and a long complaint when in, not even bothered to answer it. Been told today I will have to pay exit fees. If i’m Charged I will be taking them to court as their product is not fit for purpose.

I have only given P.O one star for each category because there wasn't an option to give 0 stars! This internet 'service'is ATROCIOUS! I am amazed that they can get away with it. Their customer service is beyond terrible with excuse after excuse and never their responsibility. If you want ripped off, lied to and 1990's internet speeds they choose P.O.

Terrible service, changed over to Post office for phone and broadband July 18, so far every bill is higher than my previous provider EE, Broad band has been intermittent from day one, the no internet for 2 weeks, everytime I phone up, they're too busy, shocking customer service, they don't have a clue, first blame BT line, then BT blame router, eventually got new router, still not right, I've made over 20 call's, no help. I was told I'd get a discount on my next bill. Never happened. Rubbish, don't be fooled by their cheap deal! £19! Rubbish more like £45++ !

‼️PLEASE READ‼️ I'm with post office at the moment and I'm less than happy with the service. I found out sky were offering to pay up to £100 of your exit fee. I called Post office today to find out how much I'd owe only to find out I could leave for FREE!! So as they have just amended their prices this means you are currently not tied in!
I'm not sure how long this is on for but I called today (5/10/2018)
So if you want to escape this crap broadband DO IT NOW!!

Totally messed up my switch through their own incompetence, leaving me without broadband or phone for 3 days. I work from home and rely on both. I cancelled immediately and they are now trying to bill me a couple of hundred pounds. They will be talking to the Ombudsman shortly and compensating me. If anyone is tempted by their offers; DON'T DO IT!

Despite all the appalling reviews I have seen online, I decided to go with Post Office broadband (ordinary ADSL) because it was a fantastic 12 month deal. I AM SO GLAD I DID! Switching went smoothly and on time. The speed is always in excess of 7MB download and often over 8MB - the supposed upper limit! Previously, no supplier has ever given me more than 6MB. The online account manager is a well designed and functional web site All in all, I am a 100% satisfied customer ...... I will stay with PO as long as they don't excessively increase the charge at the end of my contract ....... I do like haggling and have no worries about switching utility suppliers.

Beware, I was going to sign up with them only to realise their cooling off period is PRIOR to the service being online. This is absurd! You can't cancel the contract after the setup is done and you can actually see how it performs! This can only be against consumer rights. Stay clear!

Snail speed internet - like on the same level as decent speed dial up.
Upload images to Imgur or eBay takes a long time. Downloading through torrents seems good though, it's just HTML related stuff that takes ages, especially uploading. I don't have streaming TV or anything, so I don't need mega speed, but Jesus, uploading images and videos ... !
I think this is the cheapest broadband out there, but it's also very slow in comparison with BT, etc.

Customer services, will feed you a line, time and time agian. They rely on a direct competitor to install their service. ??? Yes indeed. NUTS!!!... however, for the price, if you are not relying on fast broadband, and your not bothered about any kind of service past 11pm, it's value for the money. Joke otherwise.

I have to say this, they are probably worse than the infamous Talk-talk. Dial-up speeds internet, I thought I was back in the modem days of the 1990's. How can any broadband be so slow these days ???. Spent nearly 3 hours on the phone the other night trying to get the speed improved. The first trained monkey said he was going to do a speed test, never came back, no speed test done either. The second orangutan said he would do the test and call back on my mobile. called back on my landline and got caught by the phone-blocker. The third idiot said it would be up scaled to the manager, still waiting to hear back on that one, not going to hold my breath. I have requested a refund for the rubbish service. STAY AWAY FROM THEM.

Download speeds are useless. They have too many customers on a channel. I have measured the data rate and recorded this across a wide range of dates and times using both Google and the Supportal that they say should be used. Average for Google is 2.65Mbps and 2.97 for Supportal. However, first thing in the morning the full bandwidth is usually available (8Mbps) but in the evening it is down to around 300kbps. I complained but they said everthing was OK. I don't think they understand that they have to allocate more channels at busy times when the bandwidth is being shared between many customers. Or maybe they are avoiding extra costs that might be incurred from doing this. Internet connection is frequently lost due to no bandwidth remaining for my connection. I don't stream films and would be quite happy with 4Mbps. I sometimes work from home and it can become a real problem as the day progresses. I am now switching to a different supplier.

I was with a great wee provider called "Fuel" until PO took them over. from trouble free 5mbps speeds to 300kbps and dropping out altogether dozens of times a day. Called PO and was told it was an internal fault in other words "not our problem mate", and to add 'insult to inury', my new contract stayed at the old providers rate when I would have been £5 per month cheaper to run out the final few weeks of the Fuel contract and sign up as a new customer. So the bottom line is I'm paying a fiver a month extra for less speed (if any at all) and the privilege of pulling my own hair out whenever the line drops out altogether. Rant over, I can't wait till this contract is up in the Spring. Don't go with PObroadband unless you love sore heads

DO NOT sign up for post office broadband! Worst internet ever. Left sky which was a big mistake.
Customer service is dreadful, you are suppose to wait 10 days to get full speed, when you discover you don't you only have 4 days to cancel. You then need to pay hundreds of ££££ to get out of it!!! AWFUL, should not be allowed to operate, daylight robbery!

Worst company ever, they said they would be able to take over my phone line from my old address so I would be able to keep my old number. 5 days later I still don't have my old number, called them up, they said they didn't have any record of this, then i was passed to another department called "Special Care Team" that then told me I had cancelled my services with Sky at my old address, this is why I couldn't keep my old number. This was utter rubbish as the old number was still live at old address, she told me she couldn't help me anymore and i would have a different number. Called back again spoke to someone else that checked the recordings from when I contracted these services, they said I asked them to take over my old number and it is there fault, what they had done is instead of taking over my old line and number, they just did a new line and now I have a different tel number, internet is slow as anything to top it all!!

What a load of s--t!!!!!!!
