Terrible service, changed over to Post office for phone and broadband July 18, so far every bill is higher than my previous provider EE, Broad band has been intermittent from day one, the no internet for 2 weeks, everytime I phone up, they're too busy, shocking customer service, they don't have a clue, first blame BT line, then BT blame router, eventually got new router, still not right, I've made over 20 call's, no help. I was told I'd get a discount on my next bill. Never happened. Rubbish, don't be fooled by their cheap deal! £19! Rubbish more like £45++ !

Broadband was due to start last Wednesday. Did not even receive the router until the Friday (after being disconnected from our old provider on Wednesday in anticipation of changeover) and even this required multiple phonecards escalated up the call chain... just for basic start up necessities! Then once the router arrived it was another day until it could even access the Internet, at a whopping 0.88mb download speed. One week on, and we average less than 1mb download - tonight it is 0.55mb and basically unusable.
Awful broadband, awful customer service, DO NOT BUY POST OFFICE BROADBAND.

We've been with the Post office for home phone and broadband for years. They have always been brilliant. The internet speed is good, connectivity is excellent and customer service is excellent. WE have found them to be very helpful and polite, always. We recently moved house and they made the internet/phone move easy. Well done PO.

I wish i had read these reviews before i jumped head first into a contract with this broadband provider. I get less than half of the promised internet speed they said i would receive. Most nights its only just capable of checking emails, if i want to steam a movie then i have more joy hot-spotting my mobile phone as the home broadband cant even load the initial intro.
the fact that your right to cancel the service if you are not happy expires the day before you go live is an absolute joke. This does not allow you to even see or use the internet to make an informed decision on their product.
i have now been in a three week post office battle and i feel this could go on much longer as i refuse to pay £200 to get out the contract when i falsely sold it in the first place.
AVOID THEM LIKE THE PLAGUE!

Recently browsing for a cheap broadband service I decided to sign up with the Post Office - unbelievably without checking their reviews. After signing up and having the engineer booked,I rather belatedly read them which sent me into a blind panic! Straight away I decided to cancel installation and sign up with a more expensive and therefore I thought better quality broadband provider. It was my step-daughter who pointed out that people only tend to leave bad reviews and only a very small minority take the time to leave a positive one with regards to this sort of thing.SO! I went ahead and I have to say that I have experienced nothing but a 5* service - from the initial organisation and communication regarding initial installation to the customer services team (I had to call twice for some advice) and now the broadband connectivity and speed. I was prompted to leave this review by my step daughter - a technically savvy city manager, who, having just stayed with us and working from home (in a very rural cottage somewhere in the Herefordshire countryside) declared that our post office broadband was just as good as her more expensive provider and she didn't experience any lull in speed or connection and is considering transferring to them!
In short, I am over the moon and if I had taken any notice of these bad reviews I'd now probably be paying twice as much!

Never never go anywhere near the post office 2 months to get connected and still no broadband. And they keep sending me bills for service I have not received from them. Also asked to contact BT from them told to pay 50 pound and they will Recredit me at a later date. Because they can't sort out there bills.

Absolutely shambolic. Contacted PO on 9 September, agreed you service would go live 15/09, fabulous. But it didn't happen. PO took the line from my current supplier but failed to connect it. So no landline and no broadband since 15/09. 5 phone calls to PO from my mobile which I get charged for and they just kept apologising and promising to sort it out, eventually I emailed them and cancelled the order. Today they called my mobile and left me a voicemail saying they had been calling my landline - What landline???? I haven't got a working landline because they haven't connected it!!! 47 mins on the phone today from my mobile and finally cancelled the service. I'm still without a landline and broadband and this has been the most disgraceful, incompetent, frustrating experience ever. No wonder PO is a dying entity

It’s a shame really as have been with the post office for 6 years and any issues have been sorted previously. On the 24th of April I was unable to see my e mails as post office decided to take my e mail address off and lost all my e mails. I have rung them 7 times over the 10 days since as each time get told a manager will ring back which never happens, put a complaint in which they should ring back, again no call. After 4 attempts of a manager ringing back I have given up. Today I was told the manager dealing with my complaint was on holiday day after I logged it until the 10th. Disgusting if they are but I feel it’s all lies. They have deleted and lost my e mails, I am trying to log on to deal with my mortgage break but can’t, it is causing me so much stress that a company can do this and have the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I am currently looking at who to move to and get out of my contract early, if you value your safe personal data I wouldn’t use post office. Worst ever customer service and not worth the hassle or any benefits. Think they should get rid of their managers as obviously they dint do anything at all. Useless is an understatement. I feel they have broken gdpr rules by deleting my e mail address. 0 out of 5 not even worth a 1. Avoid at all costs.

the service is rubbish from the beginning. From start, the link to create internet account for managing this broadband is not working. I have complained about this more than 10 times already, send screen shots make movies how it doesn't work. Post office is sending the same not working link over and over, they not keeping track of conversation, helpless help line, avoid of all cost, I wish I have checked here before I ordered it.

don't even go there. What a useless shower they are. Customer services com[pletely ignored all of my instructions and really messed up my broadband for me. Despite the fact that I cancelled my order within 14 day cool off periopdf, they carried on and disconnected my ISP and connected theirs. They constantly lied to me about their intended actions and despite multiple calls to so called customer services, I was left without broadband for 4 weeks and they have taken £126. from my bank for cancelling a service which I never agreed to. They are despicable and should be avoided at all costs unless you want endless grief from this crew of delinquents. To call them service providers is a total abuse of English language. They are awful, appaling, unreliable and dishonest. Don't go anywhere near them.

Switched to them about 3 weeks ago but unfortunately they have not managed to get broadband working. Currently only getting under 1mb and often not even that. Having to switch to another provider shortly. I must say customer service staff have been extremely helpful, patient and courteous at all times, unfortunately let down by the technology.

Abolsutely disgusting from the Post Office. Poor broadband speed, phoneline keeps dropping out after 5 minutes and extremely rude and incompetent staff. I regret signing up to this and will be cancelling soon. The staff do not want to help in any shape or form and then when I insist on technical enginnner coming out to solve the issue they reitorate the fact that a £140 charge will be payable. Absolutely disgusting and will never be returning with these p***** ever again. Disgusted and livid and shame on all the employees I have dealt with particularly Lewis from preston technical department if that is his real name. PLEASE AVOID THIS DISGUSTING COMPANY AT ALL COSTS.

I wanted to write this review using the Internet but its dropped out again so I am having to use my phone data. That should tell you everything.
After all the promises of reliability if I upgraded to fibre I still have the same problems, I am just paying more for the same rubbish.
Absolute pants!

On 3rd July I received an email from them informing me that I now had a post office broadband contract, with no further explanation. This made me think I had been the target of ID fraud, and I rang them in a state of concern.
It was explained to me that POBroadband had bought Fuel Broadband, and I was informed that my monthly bill with you would be £30 a month. I objected to this, as my bill with Fuel had been £17 a month and felt it was unreasonable that they had bought Fuel and instantly added £13 on to their customers bills, and the only notice given was an email informing me that I had a new contract with them. At the end of the day I had an existing contract with a company they have purchased that they are now unwilling to fulfill.
After some debate it was agreed my bill would now be £20 a month. On 5th August I was sent my bill, and it was £22.50, as a £2.50 call bundle had inexplicably been added on, despite the agent having been told that I had no landline.
I called today to get this amended, and the first person I spoke to fobbed me off and then put the phone down on me. I called back, and while being on hold again I logged into my account and looked at the terms on there, somewhat annoyed that I appear to not only to have been transferred onto a new contract where I pay more, but now also have a contract with a company with very poor customer service, where my every contact with you to date has been entirely unsatisfactory.
On the website in the account details section it shows a summary of my package. I noted that here it states that under the terms of this package I get a free wireless router.
On asking about this (after sorting out the initial charging issues) I was told that I am not a new customer, as I have transferred from Fuel Broadband. I pointed out that I was on a new contract, so therefore I am a new customer, and I am certainly a new customer of your company having had no dealings with you until a week ago. At the end of the day if Fuel Broadband customers were existing customers then surely we should have had the existing terms of our contract honoured. It seems we are new customers when it suits PO Broadband, but not treated as well as other new customers who you give the free router too!
Incidentally, I also noted that on Comparethemarket.com they show up at the £20 rate, so its a pretty cheeky company policy to make Fuels customers pay £30 and then have to call you to reduce it... and argue like hell to get it down to the £20 they offer other new customers.
I was placed on hold 4 times as I went though all manner of departments for an hour, each time having to explain all this again and again, but ultimately to be told their company policy is we are not new customers (just new contracts) and therefore we get no free router... despite it saying we do on the account details page of the website. I was then told that this would be passed on to someone who could make a decision on this matter, as to whether as a gesture of good will to a very dissatisfied new/switched customer a new router could be sent out.
I received a call from someone in technical support who had been told none of this , and when it was raised gave me the same drivel about Fuel customers not getting new routers as we're not new customers by whatever backwards logic the (cost-saving) company uses to make its policies.
He told me all I could do was email support, which is what I did.
I was then called back 4 days later and told that I would be sent a free router as gesture of goodwill.
However, I was then billed £29.16 for this 'free' router, which the company is refusing to to pay back, and every agent I speak too just tells me that they do not do free routers and that this is the charge for a router, and they cannot refund it. They also say I have noew accepted the contract and cannot cancel for 18 months.
I have therefore not only been charged for something that was promised for free, but also have been duped into entering an 18 month contract I do not wish to be in, with a company with the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. I am now considering legal action, and would advise everyone to steer clear of PO Broadband.

Was transferred to a new provider. By my old one (fuel). The service now is dire. I tried to phone them on Friday 29th September. They kept cutting my calls off. I then tried on my mobile and got though. Was either transferred to another dept or they cut me off. After telling them I wanted to leave their service. I was told that I had successfully managed to stay with them. Said no I didn't want to stay with them. Was told I had to phone up again and cancel
I said am on phone now. And a lady called Shaz in the the special care team just laughed and hung up. I asked her previously is she could put me though to a manager? Was told there was no managers working there! Then the day after I got a thank you letter for staying. Dire, what is going on? Anyone else having issues with them?

I entered into an 18 month contract, the 1st 6 months at £15 then the remaining 12 months £23.That price has increased without warning to £24.Consequently I have lost faith in the P.O and will be leaving at the end of my contract. It is unfair that they can change the terms and agreement that I entered into. For all I know come May they could put their price up again. They may gain a little extra revenue for the remaining 11 months of my contract, but after that I will be leaving. If things had stayed the same I would have commited to another 18 months.A contract is a contract and the agreed amount should stay the same. They are going to lose my custom due to their greed.Be warned people the Post office cannot honour their agreement. After speaking to them all they could do was say I am sorry sir.I know its only a £1 this time but the fact they can increase the price when they want weather in or out of contract is very wrong.

Avoid PostOffice Broadband at all costs. I have only been with them one month, and already my broadband speed has dropped from 8Mbs to 1.6Mbs. Their technical department keep contradicting their instructions t me and they are asking me to conduct tests that should have been carried out when the fault first developed. I wish I had never left my last ISP! I will be contacting OFCOM if things aren't sorted quickly.

I recently left PO Broadband after the absolutely DREADFUL speed I was receiving, i.e. 1.4 MBPS. When I contacted technical support, I was told it was probably a fault on my line. I waited 10 days for them to sort their service out, and when nothing improved I left. Today I joined Plusnet, and my speed is now 15.7 MBPS!!! Fancy that! Avoid PO Broadband like the plague.

Disgraceful service all round after 6 month with probably 50 calls and 3 modems I could not connect continually for a full day sometimes dropping out up to 50 times a day.. Customer services are polite and try to help but the “expert” technicians I talked to were rude and unbelievably ignorant, asking me to” borrow someone else’s computer to test my system” after my two Ethernet connected PC failed to stay connected. I build PCs and have experience with modems ect although unix types.
They cannot get bill right and demand money that you don’t owe with “well just pay it and we will refund you next time. AVOID AT ALL COST. Half star for they polite customer services None for anything else

Please read The Sand Machine by Gill Jackman for a full and frank critique of exactly what it's like dealing with the post office over your broadband. They don't read emails. They have a call centre where the workers haven't read and can't read what you've written. They eat your time. The new discounts are REFUNDED a month or two later, creating a scam where they hold your (read everyone's) money for over a month and take the profit. Then they use all your time as you get in touch with them about this, via India, via an illiterate who is responding to your email. Disgusting.

I was told by a customer representative that you can only access your account if you use Internet Explorer!I wouldn't bother with them - absolute shower
