AVOID AVOID AVOID.....regardless of what packages they offer you!!

Poor customer service where information provided is non meaningful and you cannot speak with their complaints department or any other department such as provisions who are supposedly escalating the issues.

We arranged for the go live date for when we move in, and nearly 3 weeks later we are still without Fibre Broadband and with no end in sight. Customer Service Department gatekeeps the rest of the organisation and their service is non existent.

They say that the issue is BT Openreach end yet Openreach don't have any open accounts for our address...there is a surprise! PO reply well they aren't allowed to disclose if they have an open account or not! They are not to be trusted or replied upon.

Save yourself from isolation, frustration and anger, and shop elsewhere...I'd rather pay extra and get the better service and had I realised this website existed and seen all the negative reviews, before I'd agreed to a contract with the PO, I wouldn't have signed up with them!

FOLKS!!! For goodness sake, PLEASE don't go anywhere near these amateurs.

I did the very silly mistake of signing up to PO Broadband without doing any reviews. After 13 weeks of waiting for my service to be switched, I managed to rid myself of them and go back to my original provider.

The guys in customer service are very nice, but completely powerless. In the end, I had to completely loose my rag, demand I be put through to someone who would cancel my account and allow me to move back.

The Post Office, in general, seems to be in a terrible state. I visited the post office last week and noticed that the branches are disgusting. Such a shame such a great institution has declined. The powers that be will probably blame the government, the customers, the weather - anyone but themselves.

    DON'T USE THEM!!!

Letter to PO: Firstly, if you try to phone please use 07******* after 16:30, I have tried to call you on several occasions without being able to get through.
I have contacted both watchdog and the ombudsman regarding this matter.
I have BIG problems with both speed and connection as well as I cannot get access to several sites including National Lottery, Post code Lottery and the tobacco prices in Adernkirk as they are blocked along with a hoard of other sites. All of which I did not ask to be blocked.
I have issues connecting equipment including VERY SLOW access and constant buffering with TV, NOW TV, SKY,NETFLIX watching anything on laptop and phone via broadband, cannot connect ALEXA, (She see's you but refuses to connect) plus, every 2-3 days, I have no internet at all and have to re-boot the system.
    THIS CANNOT CONTINUE!
How am I suppose to get all this sorted when I cannot get through on the phone?
I cannot even cancel as I cannot get through, I cant change my provider as you have blocked it. What is going on?
Perhaps if I stop my DD you will get in touch?
Would you call me before Sat 16th so you can rectify these problems.
Once again call after 16:30 before Sat 16th on 07*****. If you text 5 mins before the call I will be waiting.

I have now been with the Post Office for over 2 weeks and I still have no broadband. Can’t get an answer from them as to when I will have either. So frustrating. Keep getting dates a few days in advance and then the day comes and goes and still no WiFi.

A terrible service. We have had post office internet for about 4 months and we can't even stream a video without it pausing several times. I have called the customer service in which I was spoken to with content and they have said I can only leave the contract if after 28 days they don't think my service is satisfactory. AVOID!

    Post Office Broadband -
Most horrendous service one could ever experience, was fooled into this trap by the cashier lady at my local branch, switched from Sky to them .... and let me tell you: What a nightmare!!!
Every time one gets in touch with the customer service it’s 1 wasted hour guaranteed .... endless security checks, having to answer the same questions on and on and on... to exhaustion... nothing but headaches since we joined, trying to cancel the contract with them.... they’re trying to charge me over £300.00 .....
I am so regretful of doing ‘ business ‘ with Post Office! A word if advice: AVOID it!

Do not go with this post office broadband it’s NOT GOOD in customer service and they IGNORE THE CUSTOMER and don’t give the right service and not good in time. I have been waiting for a month to receive my Reuter and they gave me a fake date that the internet will go live I waited and it didn’t so I called they said they will get an engineer out in 4 working days. I waited after that I called asking where is the engineer they said they will bring another one out in 3 more working days!!! It’s a Joke!

Moved to postoffice broadband a few months ago and it has been slow and poor. It does not connect to our chromecast and the WiFi doesn’t connect to one of the laptops, neither have been an issue with other routers. The WiFi is regularly not working for a few minutes and requires a restart. There is a general outage today and the post office does not update their customers via email or text as to what’s happening. If you’re working from home or relying on their internet for your studies please don’t be tempted by any of their deals, it’s poor value for money.

    NEVER GET POST OFFICE BROADBAND!!!

This has the be one of the worst internet experiences of my life! The internet was down more that it was on! At the of end the day we still pay money for the internet so they should make sure it works spot on. Fair enough it might be slow but there’s no need for the whole internet to completely stop working for days! I try and call customer service and they are soooo rude it’s unbelievable. They said it’s no upfront cost when you first get the broadband but they’re lying because I had to pay £45. I cancelled my account on the end day of my contract and I paid my final bill but now they want to charge me £30... for what??? They’re robbing hypocrites!
NEVER EVER PAY FOR THIS ABSOLUTE AWFUL INTERNET!
you might as well pay an extra £5 for something more reliable.

The broadband service is bad (always trouble getting signal), the speed is bad, customer services are useless and overall I am not satisfied. I had to ring couldn't work out my user name (as usually my email address) but for some reason user names has to be your name then "@pobroad.co.uk" which is advised by post (how strange with everything else online).I opted for a new password but it did not recognise my details!! Phoned up and given another password and told got to wait 24 hours before I can use it. How ridiculous. Out of the ark!!! Overall PO need to do a lot more homework on Broadband as this is one area they are not good at! Can't wait until I am not tied in - you get what you pay for as they say.

    1st review - 'cos i'm happy!!!
Just spent the last 3 days of my life fighting through the range of broadband fibre suppliers - hell, really hell. Reading all the T&C, contacting them - murder, absolute murder.
Then came across the Post Office - well, I'm mortal and I thought Post Office - naw..!
    But yes, yes, yes, yes!
They offer 35Mb fibre £22.50 unlimited, with ZyXEL router. They charge £7 for Anytime calls but give you 3 months FREE.
They are helpful, kind, soft and wonderful - at least the lady was. I came away from the purchase actually feeling good, happy, warm, cosy.
The point is that half the battle with customers is making them feel good about what they are doing.
The Post Office may seem like a naff sort of name but think twice.. they are (so far) the greatest!! (ps: bugger all the review sites!)

After have a none exsistant connection for a few weeks, I was just told on the phone by their tech ( who qaubelled with me over technical words ) to change the filter in the wall socket as they wear out quickly!

So in other words after just three months the filter is worn down and I have to use the spare, which is them essentially admitting they use cheap parts to send to you. I know it might be hard, but just try and find an extra few quid and go elsewhere, it will be worth it in exchange for time wasted trying to get in touch with them or trying to trouble shoot you connection late at night.

I've been with them for 3 months and had to call technical services 2 times already. Make sure if you do have to complain you call them as they will take up to a week to reply to you if not. The only good thing is the price ( but i guess we get what we pay for ! ) and the first tech guy was really nice and helpful.

Post office broadband is average for browsing the internet on your phone or laptop. However it is absolutely shocking when I play my xbox. I enjoy playing my xbox from time to time but I cant enjoy it now im using Post Office broadband, as I spend the majority of time trying to connect to my router and when I am lucky enough to do that I will get disconnected and reconnected every 20 minutes ( on a good day!)

This is the worst WiFi I have ever seen. Most the time there is no internet connection and when you occasionally get WiFi it won’t load anything without taking 10 minutes. We’ve had the engineer out and it hasn’t solved anything. Do NOT buy this WiFi if you ever want WiFi. This is the worst service I have ever received.

Warning - The people who answer the phones are lovely and it's cheap, but the broadband service is useless.

Just did a speed test now and it downloads at 1MB/s!! I can't go through a Netflix show without the internet dropping for a few minutes at a time. Moving provider now that my year is up. Avoid.

Staff at the call centres are always really friendly and helpful and I've never had an issue with them whenever I'd call so I cannot fault this - HOWEVER, you get what you pay for.

It's the cheapest internet deal available because it's painfully slow. Mine is £15 a month and I can just about stream something on netflix after waiting ages for it to load. Often the internet cuts out several times a week (that I notice) and shows the red light for a few minutes and apparently this happens when the router resets itself to give you a better connection, this is however incredibly frustrating.
If you want to watch or stream anything, you're best off watching at 360p or under. I struggle to load 480p and don't even attempt 720p/1080p.
You cannot stream something and use your phone to browse facebook or instagram at the same time, You can do one or the other and only ever one thing at a time. Even when you are just using your phone indoors and not using the internet for anything else, apps like this take a ridiculously long time to load.
The upload speed is actually a joke, 20 minutes to upload a single photo post to facebook is my average and I've started just relying on my phones 4G.

You can test your internet connection (upload and download speeds) via google, and even when you do this without using the internet for anything else, Google comes back every time and tells you that your internet speed is all in the red and far below average (AND THIS IS WHEN NOT IN USE FOR ANYTHING ELSE!).

If you want the bare minimum of internet connectivity and don't rely on the internet for anything, this is perfect for you. If you actually want to use the internet, don't go with the post office.

Once my contracts over, I'll definitely be going elsewhere - lesson learned.

Would have been 5 stars for all if they didn't start constantly lowering my speed.

It started off good but it is getting worse and worse as the months go on. It works most of the time but the speed is what is causing the problems.

I had around 11mb download at the start of my contract, 16 months later I'm down to barely 1mb download.

It was worth the money when I first signed up, it certainly isn't now.

    POST ORIFICE
    AVOID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
    Horrendous svc full stop.
These clowns have the cheek to send a final payment demand (TWICE) for a closed account that I calculate is paid up.

Customer svc is a joke, don't reply to emails / & an 0345 number for customer svc's... I'll never ring them, if they want the claimed final payment they can kiss my crack...Or ring me & I'll put them on hold for 30mins...see how they like it.
P/Orifice went up to £30p/mth from £18.99 with no notice of contract ending, so Looked elsewhere, got Plusnet @ £16.99 p/mth faster B/band, a few router teething issues, all seems good now though.
B/Band deals in general are a rip off, don't be ripped off by these morons.. Look elsewhere is my advice, never again would I use P/Orifice.

If I could give Post-office zero stars, I would. Terrible support, ranging from never responding to email queries, to straight being lied to over the phone to end the call early (the ol' tell 'em what they want to hear protocol i.e. yes we've fixed your problem, no need to contact us again etc etc). Our internet was throttled at around 7pm every week day, averaging 1-3mbps on a good day, I guess because they are not prioritised over the big companies like BT or Sky, hence the price. Internet dropped out all the time, online account never worked, too many security features blocked me out before I even had chance to activate it and customer support were never able to re-open it. They never respond to emails. Quite regularly on hold for over 20 minutes when trying to report a problem. In the end I just gave up and settled with terrible internet for a year - counted down the days before I could switch again....recently decided to go to three wireless internet for my home and it's a million times more reliable, plus no phone line required, or telephone contract that nobody ever uses any more. Please do not be drawn in by the price. It is cheap for a reason.

Worst provider I've ever had! I've spent a year switching it off to reboot than more times I've had hot dinners! I've had to use my mobile data when at home cos theirs is always off line! This day and age when things like your heating relies on a good continues connection this is the pits! I actually dont use my wifi much probably no more than an average of an hour for buying and checking news emails etc. But I've not been able to even do that most days and I've used my phone data more than my home wifi which is so wrong! Maybe cheap but I would never use them again and I would never recommend them either! Difficult to set up new account as send you log on and password separately but in my case they didn't send at all and it goes on and on...you've been warned!

Having read the bad reviews i was sceptical, so wish id had listened. Absolutely terrible hardly ever connects to internet and when it does keeps dropping out or buffering. I live in a good signal area of Derby and only a few yards from distribution box so no excuse for it .moved on and gone to sky. AVOID.

The standard broadband has very poor speed, I have had Sky and Vodafone standard broard band these were much better, I change due to deals on offer at end of the contract. I have upgraded to Post office fiber a good price as offer is still live for standard. not sure how good it is as never had fiber before, i think it is not that fast, at 34 minutes past midnight: 22.05kbs download and 6.03 upload

I had no idea that switching to the post office could be so bad, i thought they all gave fundamentally the same speed. I was wrong. The post office service very frequently drops down to ridiculously low speeds like 1mbps... when it goes back up to 10 or 11 its great, but its too unreliable

If I could give minus's I would, worst broadband I have ever used, basically paying for nothing as it buffers constantly making anything impossible to watch via amazon firestick. Can't wait for the contract to come to an end. AVOID AVOID AVOID !!!!!!!
