Can honestly say - second worst broadband provider. When calling customer services be prepared to waste around 25-40 minutes waiting for someone competent to answer and when they do, most of the time they are unable to help but suggest to call back later... Speed is a bit slower than from previous provider, but thats not a major issue. Also no contract is provided to you - and when asked about contractual terms you are advised to search on their webpage for more information. Overall - very dissatisfied with PlusNet. "You are not making anyone proud!"

I joined plus net with a 12 month contract in August 2014 with a basic broadband conection as it was cheaper than the BT broadband I had up to then,as promised I did not notice any difference between BT & my new plus net service for the first three months but then it went down hill from then on with really slow speeds so my advice is stop away from plus net,I now with Virgin with speeds 10 times faster& don't forget plus net will charge you a £30 leaving fee even when you your not in contract,Avoid

If I could give them zero on all scores I would. Their tag line "we'll do you proud" should read "we don't give a damn"!! After being a customer for over 20 years in their various guises we have given up and decided to move to another provider and they've even managed to stuff that up and leave us with no broadband for 10 days! Appalling customer service, no apologies, managers who won't even speak to customers (the people who pay THEIR wages) and, ultimately, a company who have NO DESIRE to do you proud!! DO NOT TOUCH WITH A 10 FOOT BARGE POLE UNLESS YOU HAVE HOURS TO SPEND ON HOLD IN PREMIUM RATE PHONE CALLS!!!!! ABYSMAL!!

Shambolic service. To cut a long story short Plusnet failed to send a router on time. They failed to connect my broadband on time. They failed to inform my existing supplier that I was moving to them. Their customer service wait times often run to an hour and their 'Live Chat' is unavailable for hours at a time. They have cost me hundreds of pounds and I wish I had never transferred to them.

Lost connection to broadband just before Christmas and called the support desk - queues of over an hour! Had to get onto 4G on my phone to try to log a call and was told by the support person that I had to check the line so whilst I was doing that on my phone he logged off because I had been gone too long! Had to queue up all over again. Am now changing supplier but have had to ASK plusnet for a rebate on the week that I had no broadband. Absolutely rubbish service and broadband is now so slow it's practically unusable.

The speed quoted was 7mb the actual is 0.95 the advertised speed for the area by Plusnet is 17mb. As for the customer service if you have an hour spare do phone them as the online service does not receive a response!!

The connection here has never been good. Usually it is truly terrible.
I am sure that the problem is always BT, but I pay my money to Plusnet
A truly terrible experience.

Very poor customer service. Refused to accept report of a fault on the phone line from me and demanded my disabled mother leave the house putting herself in danger to get to a working phone.

I placed support call on 23/12/15 since fibre download speed had dropped to zero (usually > 70mbps). Received response on 30/12/15. 7 days to respond to a service outage seems to be Plusnet standard these days.

I signed up with PlusNet after O2 were taken over by Sky. Then we moved within a month. First we were given a new phone number, then after a day or so we couldn't receive callsand found we had been allocated a new new number - after we'd notified everyone of our new number! This took a bit of sorting out; but we got the old new number reconnected, but then our broadband order was cancelled and had to be reset, so we were a couple of weeks without. Finally we got set up and everything was hunky-dory. That was September 2013 and things were stable, with good speeds. Move forward to September 2015 and things start to go wrong with broadband dropping out sometimes for several days. When I finally get through to CS "the problem" is never in our area. I've got all the router reset procedure written down - but it seems to be the same issue every time "Have you changed your password recently?" "No, not for several years"! Additionally, in the past few weeks, our speed has dropped dramatically and using the internet on computers is painful. We have gone down to 2.5-3.2mbs on average. We are in a small village, but we have a telephone exchange about half a mile away the other side of the main road. Being the cynic I am, I do wonder if this is some sort of ploy to get us to upgrade to fibre or some other more expensive service. It's laughable to see figures of up to 76mbs for our postcode. We are tied in to another year of broadband unfortunately, so I'll be up early one day after New Year and be ringing at 0800 hours re the speed. Last time I started at 15 minutes expected answer time - but it took 37 minutes before I got through. Still, I can eat breakfast while I wait. I'm glad (for myself) that other people are also having problems - when we started with PlusNet, it seemed they could do no wrong. Maybe they've just got too big too quickly.

Been with PlusNet for 12 months and have received a stable Broadband service throughout. The speed dips at peak times but nothing abnormal. Customer service team are UK-based and appear to have common sense. I have needed to call on them during initial setup and for a minor billing issue.

I have to say, be very careful with their tactics. I recently moved home, they said I would have to pay £145 to move or take out a new 24 month contract. Although not happy with this, I did. Only to find that the Fibre and phone didn't get installed when it should. After 8 phone calls and promises of a call back, they still haven't provided.I have no found out that the house isn't wired up and I should of been released from my contact not tied into a 24 month one. They have agreed to cancel with no charges, but the billing department won't close the account until 46 pence is paid. Ridiculous as I was told I could cancel my DD. BT have said they can install when the exchange has been sorted in January. I would say, steer clear. Each phone call I made was anywhere between 40 mins to 1.5 hours.

Sadly I had been a customer of Plusnet since it started and i always have to negotiate with them to get a deal like they offer new customers. They seem to care little about existing customers. Once over they were good, had good customer services and technical support and you could ring or speak to them easily. But sadly now endless phone delays, poor technical and customer support and lack of interest by them, other than taking money meant I left them. I feel once BT took over it was game over and they went downhill fast. Sad really as they were good once!

This is the worse broadband connection ever, when I first joined plusnet,I was told that I'll get upto 10-17 mb but I got 9mb. After about 2 weeks later the connection slowly started to get slower and it came upto 3-4mb.I called them and the connection got better but not for longer.I've got the same issue for several times. Now again I got the same issue. I've called the customer service and they said it will be fixed withing 3 days but now it's a week, there's nothing has happened. I called them again and now they are saying it will take more two weeks or even more than that to fix the issue. Not just that the connection will drop after few minutes of connecting to the internet. You'll only be able to use one device if you use any more than that believe or not you'll not gonna be able to use it at all. I am trying to cancel the contract but they are saying I'll be charged for this if I do so, honestly this will be the last time I am with plusnet, wish if I've searched more about them before actually joining them. This is worse mistake of my life.
They do not care about the customers at all, when you call them you'll be on hold for at least half an hour and then someone will pick up the call but you'll not gonna be able to fix your issue. If you start any issue that's it you live with the issue. As I mentioned before, after joinging them I had speed issue and as well as connection dropping issue but I am living with these issue. They might fix the issue but this will not last for long time. I'll request everyone who is planning to join plusnet do not jump before you actually know about them more, it may be hard to believe me but you'll find lots of other people who is discussing about the same issue. Go to youtube.com and you'll find out the hidden facts about THE plusnet.

How on earth did Plusnet win an award for customer service? Absolute joke! They don't phone you back when promised and tell lies in respect of faults - blaming others. Got you tied to a contract and getting your money so don't give a **** about the customer. Just fob you off time and time again.

Do not use this company!! I called to get broadband and was told I could have fibre optic up and running in 10 days. I chased after 10 days and was told the order was on hold. I then got a phone line fitted and chased again for broadband. I was told eventually they do not do fibre optic in my area and I could have standard fitted within 24 hours. I agreed to this and as soon as I put the phone down received an e-mail saying it will be a further 2 weeks. I have now cancelled. I am back to square one with no broadband and having to look for another provider. I have probably spent 6 hours of my life on hold with the disgraceful customer services. Please stay well away from this company.

I was with plusnet for 6 years. November this year phone internet all went off. first call took 6o minutes to get through plusnet. they said it would be fixed the next day.. it wasn't, phoned again another 40 minutes wait, still the same answer it will be fixed tomorrow .never was I must have spent about 6 hours trying to get through to them.. when I did get through I was told the best time to phone was after 10.30pm.. but they close at 10.00pm. it took just over 3 weeks to solve the problem. but we were without a phone internet in that period.. they did give us back our monthly payment big deal. I left plusnet as soon as possible. they were good when they first started off . I think they have just got to big

Very poor service, with slower speed than advertised and frequent connection problems. Plusnet claim it is my end but no problem with previous provider. Awful 1990s website and very difficult to contact online and takes an age to get through on the phone. Locked into contract but off as soon as it ends.

I thought talk talk were bad but plus net are diabolica! Despite promissed downloads speeds of 4-10 meg mine were always 0.3 - 1.1 way below the governments promise of 10 meg! We now have Virgin fibre offering 50 meg but guess what, to get out of my talk talk deal will cost £ 94!!!
Absolute sharks, their slogan should be changed from we'll do you proud to we'll do you over!!!!

I had poor connectivity and a droppy connection they either couldn't or wouldn't fix. Their customer team is decent, though they give out passwords far too easily (and can see them in the clear...) and in general seem amateur. Wouldn't use again.

A DREADFUL start!!! PlusNet have taken over my line on December 1st, but STILL haven't moved over my Broadband from SKY. I have tried ringing them, but their customer service is a JOKE!!! Please wait 45 minutes...I have tried using their live emailing system, and they never bother answering. I have tried 12 times now, and they say they will be transferring me to the team, but I just wait and wait, for the live agent, who I think actually must be a dead agent...Terrible customer service. Now I know why they are so cheap in comparison to everybody else. My advice is go elsewhere...

Hopeless! I had connection problems to internet. Replaced router. Turned out to be PlusNet. You cannot reach the customer support team by phone.
Switched to BT, all Ok & cheaper.
And they have got my final account bill wrong. Don't use them.

Estimated broadband speed is 10mbs. Having tested on several occasions it is nearer 17mbs.
They advertise excellent customer service but unfortunately this is not the case. Three calls in excess of 20 minutes each to three different numbers in order to upgrade the broadband package.
However on complaints they will deal with them unlike BT who wait until OFCOMS involvement.

this is the worst company i have ever dealt with. they are useless, stay away from them.
my broadband has been up and down ever since i joined and eventually they sent an engineer round to fix it. it was then fine for 6 days until these useless fools rebooted my system and it's back to being broke again. they have since been ignoring my emails but if you have the patience you can sit by the phone for over an hour trying to get through to someone
save your money and go elsewhere.....you have been warned

My elderly parents have no phone line thanks to a little known company called supply network services LLP transferring the phone away from plusnet. Emails apparently from plusnet were sent to my dad, saying ' sorry you are thinking of leaving'.My dad had no intention of leaving and phoned plusnet to say so. He was told not to worry. Plusnet went ahead and made the transfer to this little known communications company. It's taken two days to get minimal information from plusnet and their so called customer service is beyond a joke. They cannot reinstate the phone until January 7th. By then they will have been without a landline for about two weeks, right over the Christmas period. From reading the reviews from other customers I can see that this will be likely. I will be encouraging my dad to go to another service provider, will be making a formal complaint, will seek compensation and warn anyone off Plusnet. You are a disgrace Plusnet.

Very laggy, but just about usable most days. But some days it's so slow it feels like dial-up with pages taking a long time to load never mind forever buffering videos. Never got through to their customer support yet as I don't want to hold for an hour.
