    Awful broadband turns on and off automatically, WiFi speeds are unstable, can barley watch videos or play games without buffering and lag just overall a horrible experience with Plusnet.

    Unable to comment on broadband speed and reliability, because the company have not been able to send me my modem yet - 2 weeks after ordering, and them telling me on the phone that modem will arrive 'over the coming days'. Dealt with a dreadful salesperson on the phone, who spoke faster than one can understand. Tried ringing today regarding the modem - 30 minute waiting time. Emailed cust service - email bounced back as they don't accept them. Not impressed so far.

    cut off for paying my bill!!!!!
    apparently the system doesnt reconise manual payments,all due to being lied to when i first set up the contract now will have loss of earnings not impressed!want me to pay money i dont owe(they admitted) and pay to get put back on dreadful company avoid like the plague

    Please do not waste your money by choosing Plusnet broadband. The connection is terrible! They have tried to fix our connection multiple times but seem to just make it worse each time!

    Awful internet service, been stuck with it for nearly 18th months and if you try and ring them its a joke of a queue time. The only time we got through to someone in reasonable time was because we pressed the we wanted to leave option. And the person who answered was cocky saying if we do not know there is a problem how can we fix it! Well for starters answer your technical phone lines, this would be a good start. This annoyed me so I hung up. For some unknown reason they have a good rating online but when you dig deeper and see stuff like on here you find the truth. This provider should be banned from price comparison sites. Truly awful internet provider.

    Plus Net service is appalling, 18 months now of being fobbed off with customer service. The internet supply is terrible. I'm not going to waste my time going into every aspect of their service. Please be warned anyone thinking of signing up.

    Company SIM card deal was offered but no service provided within initial 3 weeks. Company shielding themselfs with technical issues that will be resolved within 24/48h for first 2 weeks and after they say it will take 12 months. No refunds, no contact to complaint except of rude customer service. Stay away

    PlusNet. you have got to be joking. this firm verges on the insane. it nearly takes you over the edge. 30 mins wait to get through to customer services for the last 3 years 2 years ago I went with orange, which is. o so much better. my ratings are really off the chart. Being simply zero on everything for PlusNet, and that is being too kind.. all I have now with Plusnet is the email facility. which I cannot wait to go with maybe .drop box.

    I am another one of the many customers who have not had my Internet connected yet, despite having signed up over 6 weeks ago. My service is still not connected and customer services have failed to contact me about this issue to resolve it. Currently out of pocket massively as I'm still using my mobile data at great expense. To sum up this company I'd have to say they are a complete bunch of scumbags who deserve to die of cancer, and all of their children too..... Just so there is not another generation to carry on this legalised robbery of our time and hard-earned cash. They are scum, and nobody has closed them yet. This robbery on a massive scale is still being allowed. Shame on you Ofcom for not addressing this and allowing us customers to be dragged through this ordeal.

    Absolutely hopeless all I want Plusnet to do is move my old phone number from Virgin over which they promised would be no problem. After three months of being lied to by endless different people I'm stuck with a phone number that no one knows. It seems impossible to get a resolution to this problem. Do Not Use Plunet.

    Been with them for 9 months now and the broadband has been really slow and kicks us off all of the time, i must have phoned them 12 times or more and have never been on hold for less than 30 mins with the longest time being 1hr22mins! And all they do when you get through is fob you off with the same rubbish! Worst provider we have had.....

    do not use plusnet service is appaling promised a date for moving it was never actioned by operator and had to wait over two weeks to be connected again I am disabled will be without a phone and internet no compensation offered manager very unsympathetic I will never use plusnet again when our contract finishes also waiting on line over half an hour when I called very disgusted

    Absolutely dire company to deal with. I ordered my new broadband account with Plusnet at the beginning of Nov, still not even on-line yet! They cancelled the order, didn't send out the router etc etc. List of poor excuse after poor excuse. AVOID at all costs. Shell energy seem to be far better.

    I am the mother of a final year uni student who unfortunately took out a contract with Plusnet.He has had to contact them repeatedly about Broadband cutting out and speed NEVER being what it is supposed to be.Since mid Oct,so 2 months.
    A new router was sent and Broadband doesn't cut out now but speed no better.
    So he has had to contact them again.They told him this was a new issue, when it is not a new issue and he had to start all over again.That they might send an engineer out up to 3 times and could charge £65 if no faults found.
    They HAVE the broadband speed records so KNOW they have never been adequate.
    Today he had the misfortune of talking to a rude aggressive man who wouodn't allow my son to explain why he was phoning.My son asked that he actually listen to him and the Plusnet CUSTOMER REPRESENTATIVE said NO,YOU LISTEN YO ME !
    My son seems to be in an impossible situation.He has a major exam on Jan 3rd and is having to go to the library computers all the time instead of working at home.He doesn't have the time for this to drag on and on in his final year.
    He has been hold he has to pay £135 to get out of the contract
    I have listened in on some of these conversations and have never ,ever come across such a bad service.
    Plusnet are a total disgrace.Dreadful Broadband and shocking customer service.DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

    Absolutely awful company. I have just managed to leave but they still intend to bill me ongoing (good luck with that one!). Wait 30 minutes for them to answer the phone, transfer you to another department and then cut you off. Staff are sometimes nice but more often than not rude. There is nothing about this company that I could recommend. NOTHING.

    Would liked to have put lower scores but couldn't. It took 3 weeks for them to even get my phone line on after taking over and then told I have to have a temp tel. number until they can get my old number. Internet has just been activated nearly 1 month from sign up date and I am using neighbours to write this as its un usable as so slow. Signed up for fibre but on ADSL. Engineer failed to arrive on 3 occasions, and I waited in. Fed up with being lied too or not being called back. I would advise everyone to lick yourself in the head before signing up with plusnet. I am going to cancel and go back to my old provider. Oh and did I mention quickest time to answer phone was 29 minutes.

    Following a house move PlusNet were incapable of handling the transfer. After weeks of frustration, incompetence and broken promises I moved to a new provider. I am now in dispute with them over cancellation fees. Yesterday they sent me a bill for £20425.00 They seen more interested in advertising how good they are but their systems appear chaotic and unable to cope; apart from sending money demands. It is virtually impossible to get through to them and when you do succeed they are no help. Best steer clear of PlusNet.

    Overall very poor response times on the phone line. Minimum wait 25min maximum wait 1hr 4min over 18 calls to the billing line.

    Fromthe first bill i was over charged 6 phone calls to sort that out over the first 3 months of the contract.

    On the final bill they decided to put cancellation charges on. Although i had been with them for 21 months on an 18 month contract.... i refused to pay and they called in a debt management conpany..... asked to speak to a manager they cancelled the charges but not the debt management company..... 12 phone calls later i have had to pay the money and i'm now trying to get the money back from Plusnet....m

    Moral of the story never pay anything you genuinely belive you shouldn't have to pay. Never go with Plusnet or BT and soon to be EE.... All the same company...

    If you want a good broadband conpany with good customer service look in Germany.....

    Contacted Plusnet to move my home Broadband from TalkTalk. Explained I only had a 14 day cooling off window with them to move before I would be tied to a new 18 month contract. This was noted and assurances given that this would be done. Plusnet also took payment for the first month. I heard nothing from either provider for over a Month and I am now stuck in a contract with TalkTalk that I did not want. I contacted Plusnet who were obviously very sorry and confirmed nothing had been done . The Customer operator organised a refund and transferred me to the complaints department to make a formal complaint. The complaints operator sounded like she had just got out of bed and told me to do it online Absolutely disgusting service from start to finish . Avoid this company.

    DO NOT USE PLUSNET be clever unlike me and avoid this provider. First no internet for 3 weeks due to people not doing correct processes and sending out a router. Then I get 2 neither work...q..bt engineer 1 hour later it's working! For a few days. Consistent ongoing wireless error mostly not working when I ring no one cares just says it looks fine and they'll report it. Final straw Christmas day and kids have waited all year for xbox 1 s ..the result is crying a lot! Because Xboxes don't work without internet can't even watch a DVD. The best bit is now they've messed about so much I'm in contract up to my ears at a cost of £209 to leave. I'm broken

    Poor speed and reliability. The customer service staff are the most rude and offensive creatures I have ever had the misfortune to encounter. Raised 3 complaints in one day and they were closed unresolved with 12 hours. Fault not resolved and given the address of their 2ndstage which had to be done in writing and send by post. Staff refused to give the the CEO's Email. Cant be bothered participating in their biased maybe non-existant complaint system. Found the CEO's Email on-line. You got a lot of explaining to do mate. Where is my missing private data? Expect an Email from me soon I AM THOROUGHLY DISGUSTED BY YOUR RUDE ATTROCIUOS STAFF. My personal data has gone missing and I want it back Shame on you.

    Plusnet are appalling.
    I complained for over a year re our service and finally took our case to CISAS. Immediately upon doing so Plusnet deleted my entire 'support ticket' history from my online account details.

    They're routinely patronising and dismissive. They're also completely ignorant of the technology they're supposed to be supporting.
    As they're part of BT I find it unbelievable that they "don't share information" or at least that's the excuse I was given every time I asked for an update on our complaint- "we don't share information between engineers".

    My only suggestion would be to complain and take your case to CISAS. I won our case and CISAS told them to give us compensation for our time and effort involved in trying to get them to actually do something.

    Appalling, rude and utterly useless.

    I tried to switch due to their poor speed and refusal to offer me a better deal after being with them for three years. Once I had left they invented a punishment saying I was still in a contract with them and wanted £100 penalty. Even though the deal that I was on was on their website as free for 12 months and a 12 month contract, yet they say I was in a 2 year contract. Don't go with them or you cannot leave without penalty, real or invented

    I have been a customer 4.5 yrs. with no problem but now on encountering low broadband speed I have been consistently fobbed off by a less than helpful advisor who would not listen & seemed only content on selling a dearer package. He could not explain why my line speed dropped off significantly since last Nov. when I completely lost my connection. He threatened me with an engineer call out fee of £65 & said that I could not terminate my agreement. All together I am totally disillusioned with Plus Net & I am seeking an alternative.

    Was supposed to be switched to PlusNet on 6th October. Received an email at 05:30 telling me the phone service was ready to go. No dial tome on the phone service so no phone. Tried to contact them a number of times throughout the day and only got through after waiting for over 50 minutes on hold. Used over 200 minutes of my monthly call allowance trying to contact them. Left questions to be answered only for them to be placed on hold until 07:00 7th October. Come 7th October no response. Posted another question and still no response. I still have no broadband a day after was supposed to be switched. Have had to go into the office because I can't work from home. Have tried to contact them again today but cannot sit at work on hold for almost an hour. My wife did manage to get through but they refused to deal with her as she is not the account holder.
    The service is appalling and not fit to be called a service.

    I was due to be connected yesterday afternoon. I stayed in as I was told if there was a problem the engineer would need to visit the house.....no one called at the house so assume the connection went ahead as planned. I still have no dial tone. I can't test if I have broadband as the router has not arrived yet. I have made numerous attempts to call customer service for an update but can't get through, their text chat is also disabled. The only line I was able to call was for cancellations. That was handy as I was able stop this madness before I was locked in to a contract. I don't know what award they have been given, but I can think of a few...none of them pleasant. AVOID this supplier.

    Please can I advise people not to use pulsenet. I joined last may, informed them what i use the internet for etc and was advised on the package i needed. I have never had reliable broadband. I have contacted them several times regarding this and advised to try all sorts of things without success.
    Contacted them again on friday to cancelled to be advised that I am not on the right package???
    Trying to get through to Pulsenet is impossible on the wait for over half an hour.
    I have been waiting for a call back from a manager for the last 2 days without success.
    They are horrendus, don't live up to what they say you will get.

    I signed a new contract with Plusnet (my previous account was cancelled because it was on my late partner's name). The broadband did not go live as scheduled, I already waited for 7 business days, even though I told them that my previous account in the same address was just cancelled, I still have the router and everything ready to have the service back. They didn't contact me why the broadband didn't go live until I contacted them, and they said it would take from 3-5 business days more. I wondered if the sale person had a look on the contract he just signed with me, or if anybody cares until I contact.
    I contacted them back and ford many times and It was too much hassles to I cancelled the contract.
    It's now 1 month 1 day and I haven't receive the refund in my account. Extremely disappointed.

    Absolutely terrible - took 2 months to connect and now a month later speed is beyond a joke. I have made them aware of the issues from the start and each time I am transferred to a different department then another department just to end up at the faults team. They 'do' some work on it/send an engineer out and it still isn't fixed. Then it's start the process over again. 3 times this has happened and I have had enough - rang them to tell them I want out and yet again it is referred to faults team as they need see if there is anything more they can do before they authorise the termination of the contract without charges.

    Absolutely dreadful customer service for business. Extremely long time waiting for call to be answered. Totally incompetent when dealing with my problem with new line. Only ever contact me with text which I cannot reply to no email I can write to ---just the phone number which no one wants to answer

    I cannot believe anyone can give this company a positive review. I signed up to switch to their broadband in early July. It is now September and it hasn't been activated. They have started billing me for the service despite it not being activated. Their customer service team raised a complaint on my behalf. Made no difference. Been trying to call them and they are not taking calls. Appalling.

    Over the years I have used Virgin, AOL and EE but none have given me the appalling service I have received from PlusNet. I was with them for a year with standard broadband which was OK and then made the mistake of switching to fibre broadband. Since then my connection on wifi has been slow and erratic; I have lost connection whilst writing emails, shopping online, and watching iplayer. And PlusNet's response? I have been told that it was BT's fault and I should complain to them (I don't have a contract with BT), then I was told that wifi connection can be poor with fibre so I should use a cable (later denied)and last week I was told to go into the router and try all 13 internet channels until I find one that is satisfactory. This is PlusNet's 'award winning service.' My advice - don't go anywhere near then.

    Terrible internet. Constant dropouts. Very slow speed mostly, often less than 1mbs. Customer Services won't resolve anything or send a technician, blame our own devices that work perfectly fine elsewhere. Can't wait till our year is up will never use them again

    Awful awful awful. Nothing but slow and patchy service, tried to cancel and instead - against my better judgment - was convinced to upgrade to a supposedly ‘better’ contract which turned out to be paying more for an equally terrible service. Bad experience every time I called customer service including being laughed at for questioning a surcharge. In November I eventually managed to get them to send an engineer, only to have Plusnet send them to an address 200 miles away from my house. I have since switched to Talktalk (despite £172 Plusnet cancellation fee which I am happy to pay to be rid of them) and they have offered faultless service for less than I was paying with Plusnet. Plusnet are a vile money-sucking company who only care about profit, and could not care less about “doing you proud” (a outright lie of a slogan) or the quality of their service. Disgusting. DO NOT GO WITH PLUSNET UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.

    currently on hold 3rd time this week. both the last 2 times it was over an hour . currently on 25 mins. Wifi keeps dropping out. someone answered I asked them to get cancellations to call me they said they could not do this. Told them how long I had held said they would try and rush me through still on hold. Hopefully I have the patients to cancel.
