Just read a few reviews and wish I hadn't signed up to Plusnet. I completed application and money was taken out 3 weeks ago after being told 3 to 4 days you'll be connected 3 weeks later I rang to be told my order was cancelled. No idea what that was about so they've proceeded my order after I rang them then got an email to say another two weeks before I'm connected to phone line no mention of broadband.i should of gone with Vodafone.grrr

So who are these imaginary people giving Plusnet a stellar recommendation for Customer Service or should it be Stella because they are obviously hammered on the beers.
No service for 7 days, still not check why it doesn’t work, don’t respond for day citing COVID as the reason, ,lies! And now they want to charge me a cancellation fee for moving to another provider??? I hate you PLUSNET. You have cost me money on my business and my Mobile bill because I am having to use my Data. New line should be “Plusnet, we’ll rip you off and ignore you”

Have had nothing but problems with Plusnet. Six weeks to connect us to broadband then intermittent problems with router outages and line quality.
Customer service queues are terrible - expect to wait 30+ minutes to get through and often your problems take multiple calls to resolve.
Would strongly advise against signing up with Plusnet.

charged me paying by card because they chose not to take it by Direct debit.
Speed/ reliabilty was real issue.
Now that iv left them and another broadband company is using the line, PLusnet is still taking a monthly payment from me!!

Switched from Sky last year. with sky I had a 12meg connection, since switching I had 8-9 meg, as with others my connection was constantly dropping and had to reboot the Plusnet modem every time to rectify the issue. I have worked in IT for the last 15 years and spoke to PlusNet on numerous occasions and explained it is a problem with the Modem/router, every single time they did a line test and fobbed me off saying it was a wirless issue even thought i`m using wirless and RJ45 network cables from diffrent pcs. In the end i gave up with plus net support and dug out one of my old Routers a Netgear DGN2200 and since I replaced the Plusnet pile of ****, im getting 11.3 meg and no drop outs at all. Plusnet support are the worst I have had to deal with.

Very bad service. Can only use one device at one time and even then keeps on losing connection most of the time.
We were told of a refund will be made but only a small amount and not for all the time we have been having problems. Charging too much as well.

We changed to Plusnet on 20.8.20. We still have no home phone 9 days later. Customer service are not interested, despite us being vulnerable customers. They keep asking us to phone them about having no phone line! We paid in advance for our broadband and phone service. The broadband is slow and Intermittent. Needless to say Plusnet have not signed up to Ofcom automatic compensation scheme.

Utterly disgusting service, never witnessed anything like it before. Very regretful at having signed-up but wanted cheaper deal. Not worth the hassle. Each telephone call takes at least half an hour to be answered plus another half hour when you are transferred to a different department. Staff all pleasant and sincere but nothing gets done. The most frustrating experience ever, save yourself the bother and stay away. Well away. I wanted to give Plusnet no, zero, stars but it doesn't allow that. One star is extremely complimentary.

I have been with them for a year. My speed was assessed as 8Mbps with minimum 1Mbps. The speed at the beginning was okay but since summer 2018 it started to fluctuate rarely reaching 8Mbps but often being close to 0Mbps (0.05Mbps, etc). I called customer service a number of times but the issue would only be resolved sometimes for a limited time. I didn't get any compensation for often useless broadband. I switched now to other provider and have no problem with steady and reliable speed whatsoever. Avoid Plusnet.

Quite possibly the worst company I have ever had the displeasure to use.
The service is terrible, the customer service is non existent, and I have wasted 19 months on a provider that quite simply doesn’t provide at any level.
Be warned.......

I will defiantly advise to avoid plus net . their customer services are very bad. they charge you so much money if you move home which usually is free with many other internet providers. They will ask you start new contract with much higher rates. This is the worse provider I have ever. Avoid Avoid Avoid..

Place my order, no updates whatsoever, called them the day before installation, my router had not been sent out and the operator thought I'd be fine with him just sending it out then, no if you can't send a router in 2 weeks when you're trying to get me into your service there's no way I will trust you further.
I cancelled my order and now I've received a bag for my old router that never turned up and a letter welcoming me on my sign up, I'm still waiting on my refund. This company is a shambles, I cannot comment on the service since they can't even process an order, avoid them.

I can't give review of speed or reliability as it's been nearly 3 weeks and the service has not started yet. For reasons of Covid19 you can't speak to anybody on the phone or live chat.

I switched to Plusnet broadband and will now have to move away. everything about this service is poor.
The broadband speed is terrible, 1.6Mps, reliability is bad with frequent interruptions to service.
It takes an average of 10 mins for them to answer the service helpline.
Unless you call the new business line which they answer at the first ring.
They have just refused - yes, refused - to send an engineer out to fix the problem. They told me they don't like to do that because OpenReach charge them £160 call out fee!
Don't bother with them. They are one of those rubbish businesses that do not even try to deliver what they advertise.
If I were a Yorkshireman, I would have them thrown out of Yorkshire for damaging out reputation.

HORRIBLE IS UNDERSTATEMENT..Poor internet connection, poor customer service, they speak to you not even showing like they hear or understand your frustration, you go off the phone not sure of what to except or what action they are going to take. I was just waiting to come to an end of my contract so I can leave them and I was told I have to pay a CEASE FEE of £30, yet I have come to the end of my contract..the cease fee is even more expensive than my contract. and why should I pay them for leaving.. What a JOKE..its not like I am cancelling my contract half way, I have actually come to the end, paid my final bill and am told need to pay another £30 for leaving them. ABSOLUTELY WORSE PROVIDERS

AVOID PLUSNET, THEY DON'T CARE TWO HOOTS ABOUT YOU.
I used to get 9 meg with Sky. Swapped to plusnet a year ago and this dropped immediately to 7 meg (at best).
Recently had a line fault and lost everything. Openreach quickly fixed the problem at the box at the end of the road.
Since then my max speed has been 4 meg. Plusnet will make no attempt to get me back to 7 meg because it still meets the new ofcom minimum requirement of 3.5 meg.
Beware of the minimum guaranteed speeds when you sign up because that is what you may end up with for the whole contract period. The speeds splashed all over the adverts are no guarantee that you will get anything like this. The minimum speeds are buried in the small print.
36 meg fibre broadband !!!!! You might end up with 10 meg from one provider I noticed. These advertised speeds need to be changed to minimum guaranteed speeds.

Signed up for plusnet broadband in October 2020.
Still no connection 22.12.2020. Suzana Salihu rang me on 24.12.2020 and confirmed that I would be connected by midnight the latest. That didn’t happen. She cancelled my existing broadband. That is all. I was left without connection over Christmas. I was not able to keep in touch with family abroad. Suzana Salihu was not even able to understand why I made a complaint, after all she allowed me to have phone line. I was given £60 goodwill gesture. Hope she got a bonus.

joined PlusNet 2 months ago and God don't I regret it now. I paid upfront for my phone and broadband package which I now realise is non refundable. the broadband speed is pathetic especially on weekends. also I can no longer receive incoming calls but when you complain to their customer service its never their fault it must be mine. they will call an engineer out but I will have to pay for it JOKE. Keep well away from these COWBOYS,CHEATS AND LIARS. THEY ARE WITHOUT DOUBT THE WORT COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH.

They're a con. Extremely slow broadband speed. Started off with what was advertised then after a month they bottle necked my speed to 13mb at best. Reported the problem, nothing changed.
To add insult to injury, they increased my monthly bills.
Avoid PlusNet like the plague.

After 1 month, I’m so happy of ending my contract with Plusnet. I’ve been never exposed to such a friendly incompetence.
October 10 I received an email stating that my landline was being taking over
October 13 I called Plusnet to tell them that was not my decision; that was someone else that was trying to take the landline.
October 20 and 21 I tried to reach them by Twitter because I was having problems with my internet speed. Plusnet did not answer
October 25 I lost my internet connection
October 26 I called Plusnet, and they told me they made a mistake and they never stopped the process of taking over the working line, basically I lost it. Plusnet told me that the way to solve it was to open a new account and close the previous one. Plusnet told me that they will fix the problem between 4 to 5 days. Supposedly I would l be reached by Plusnet team to discuss compensation. I did not receive a call nor my service back.
November the 4. After not receiving any answer from Plusnet, I called. Plusnet told me that the order was never processed. So nothing happened during those 10 days. Supposedly, I would receive the service back on the 20th of November and I would be compensated.
November the 12th. I received an email indicating that there was a problem with my order. No waay!
November the 13th.Email: My current service provider denied the request to take over the working line. But Plusnet was my service provider!!
Sunday 15 of November: Plusnet informed me they were taking the payment for an account that Plusnet closed 20 days ago.
Monday 16 of November: After a month, I’m glad to say that we ended the contract. They could not solve the problem. On 26 they told me that Plusnet will compensate me for the additional expenses but now they told me that something like that doesn’t exist.
I've been never so happy to end a contract in all my life.

I signed my mother up to plusnet over a week ago. They have taken the upfront charge of £206.88 and cancelled the order. They are refusing to connect her within the normal 10 days leaving someone who is officially in the vulnerable category without phone or internet in poor weather.
I am so disappointed in their response, they avoid communicating on the problem using texts rather than calling as requested texting and lengthy delays in responding to calls and chat. Their ads do not portray their real service.

I have had nothing but reliability troubles for weeks. If you try to complain you are put on hold and then if you eventually get through they want to put you on to another department which again has a hold period. As someone said previously there is no minus category. Do not go with PlusNet, The word rubbish is too high a category for them. I am changing to another provider, even if the service is as bad it is only half the cost. Avoid PlusNet.

I SUCESSFULLY SUED PLUSNET/BT IN MY LOCAL COUNTY COURT !
In February 2014 I contacted PLUSNET to install a phone line & supply a modem & broadband at the new house I was moving to, I paid them £72.98, I received confirmation of my order (a contract ?)in the post the following day & 2 appointments were booked for a month later for the work to be done. I moved to my new house & waited, I took 11 hours off work unpaid to be at home for the BT Openreach engineers, but no one turned up, I tried to contact PLUSNET on my mobile several times only to be told I was in a queue & had to wait over 40 minutes, I also tried to contact them by using the local call box - again I was in a queue & would have to wait over 50 minutes. I wrote to PLUSNET to complain & demanded my £72.98 back plus my lost salary circa £400 including compensation for breach of contract & explicitly gave them 14 days to comply or I would take them to the small claims court, their response was to offer me a miserly £25 for my inconvenience & my money back if I formally asked for it, "HOW OUTRAGOUS!" So of course I made a claim through MYCOL the online small claims service, I offered mediation & waited for their response, NOTHING for approximately 12 months ! so a hearing date was set & surprise surprise I start to get phone calls & an offer in writing of £150 to settle this time from BT LEGAL. I now know that PLUSNET in their incompetence failed to book the 2 appointments with their parent company BT OPENREACH thus wasting my time & causing my financial loss. The case was heard on 03/07/2015, PLUSNET/BT didn't even bother to attend simply sending a letter, I had a very thorough, & severe but legally professional examination of my claim & my evidence by the justice (I'm not going to mention his name) my award was just shy of £300 & they have until the 25th of July to pay. I shall keep you informed. I would urge anyone who has issues with utility companies be it water/gas/electricity or telecoms to do as I did & use the small claims court – that is what it is there for ! At the time of writing this BT have 5 CCJ’s against them dating back to 2011 (& now 6 with mine) this company & its subsidiaries simply don’t care if they break civil law – it’s time we ALL complain & use the courts to get justice.
Eriko.

Absolutely APALLING! Wouldn't give them any stars if it were an option. We had a business account with them and then one day came to work and realised the phone line wasnt working nor was broadband, phoned them and they told us that due to a system error they accidentally deleted our whole account and they would set it back up again for us, so we waited a week and still nothing. SO phoned them back and they told us they were not going to set our account up again unless we paid again, wtf?! You could of let us know!! Appalling sevice, bunch of ill mannered staff with no capability in doing their job right, we had nobody write or email us any warnings, it's as if they don't want to communicate and can't be bothered because they are only there for their monthly wage, they don't care about the business or the customer. Also the broadband speed was frankly **** too and they would take different amounts of money each month then have to refund it back to us. We literally only stayed with them to keep the same phone number!! Never really thought it could get any worse but it did. AVOID AT ALL COST.

First of all I signed up with Plusnet when living in Bristol, it took a month of phone calls, to occasionally sexist men asking if I knew how to use a screw driver, to set up because they had signed up the wrong flat. Eventually it was up and running, the internet was reliable but a little slow.
Out of ease and the lure of avoiding the cancellation fee I decided to carry on with them once I had moved to Exmouth. This was a mistake, first of all it was delivered to my next door neighbours address, and again it’s going to take a month to activate my broadband. When I phoned to asked to bring the date forward the customer service team were rude and told me I can cancel if I want too but it’s a £12.99 a day charge.
I will not make the mistake of using plusnet again, once my 18 month contract is over I will be switching.

I wouldn't even rate them one star the lack of communication is beyond the worst I've ever come across, my daughter at the age of 7 could do a better job, billing dates was never changed when I asked for 5 months but was reassured over the phone the billing dates had been changed, I was billed for late payments due to this at the rate of almost 8pound on top of my bill that they had put up to 30 pound a month for Internet that was never working always cutting off,Plusnet breached the contract on several occasions cutting my services off before the 14days of a late payment, plusnet are a money scamming Internet provider that doesn't give you the service that you should be getting, I was paying for fast fiber and had nothing but issues for months on end, the staff tell you what you want to hear over the phone then don't follow though with what's said, on several occasions I've had the phone put down on me. I am highly disappointed, my account was supposed to be credited due to all the complications but never was. Worst providers I've ever been with I also had to make a upfront payment to join. I HAVE NOW JOINED TALK TALK WHOS STAFF HAVE been trained up well in dealing with customer service and join for fast fiber at an brilliant rate that stick to the contract agreement

Switching from BT who's service was 54mb/s to Plusnet who promised to deliver the same but turned out to be 21mb/s at best. Asked to leave after a month because of the poor broadband speed and worse reliability. Was told I couldn't leave without paying nearly £100 as an exit fee. Sent a Breach of Contract Letter, uploaded via their website and signed up for BT. Within 24 hours Plusnet were on the phone agreeing that they'd breached their contract and agreed that I should be able to leave without financial penalty. I'd never go back to Plusnet, BT might be more expensive but at least they deliver the speeds they promise when you sign up. Good honest Broadband? Bad and dishonest in my experience!!

Unable to comment on broadband speed and reliability, because the company have not been able to send me my modem yet - 2 weeks after ordering, and them telling me on the phone that modem will arrive 'over the coming days'. Dealt with a dreadful salesperson on the phone, who spoke faster than one can understand. Tried ringing today regarding the modem - 30 minute waiting time. Emailed cust service - email bounced back as they don't accept them. Not impressed so far.
