    !!!!!AVOID!!!!!

I joined Now Broadband on 17th August 2022 - My Internet went down on 15th September 2022.

I called the Now TV Broadband helpline, and they sent an engineer around. A few days later, the engineer visits and advises I need a new hub/router as they sent out loads of duds in August (brilliant), so he ordered me one.

A few days later the new hub arrives but did not work either, so the engineer came back around. He then tells me that my problem is that my Internet is too slow, and I need to upgrade (more money?!) I told him it worked fine in the beginning and it's not slow, as it’s not working at all.

I called the Now helpline again and was told I would get a call back on the weekend to do a signal test. I stayed home all-day Saturday for a woman to call me at 3PM and keep me on hold for over 10 minutes to finally say she doesn't know what the problem is, and she will raise my query higher up (with Sky?)

I get a missed call the following Sunday morning and received an email from a different person asking when the best time is to contact me, I emailed back requesting a call back, but no response.

It took them ten 10 days to reply to my last email requesting a call back, but with no new information or help, again just advising that an engineer needs to visit (for the 4th time?!)

I did receive a very funny email letting me know they’re going to give me an £8 discount, which I thought was a slap in the face as I’ve not had any internet for over a month and surely shouldn’t have to pay at all?!

They were very quick to still charge me for my last bill, even though their service has not been working at all, and I’ve not been receiving any help from their telephone advisers. I feel like I've been paying them just to ignore me!

I also entered a formal complaint on their website and was told someone would contact me in 24 hours to discuss further, but that was 3 days ago, and I have not heard anything from them.

Absolutely disgusting service from Now Broadband. I would never recommend them in a million years!
I would rather sit in a McDonalds using their free WiFi all day with 100 screaming kids running around me, than ever use Now Broadband again.

If you want to be Internet-less and waste your money, go ahead, join Now Broadband – You might as well sit in a dark, quiet room and throw your money out of an open window.

If I ever go to a friend’s house and they have Now Broadband, I’ll just stick with my mobile data thanks!

Safe to say, I have cancelled my direct debit with them, and have joined Vodafone Broadband instead. Fingers crossed this time!

Outrageous customer service. They missed multiple appointments and lied about us not being at home while we waited all day at home not being able to go to work serveral times over the course of one month. When you called their customer service, no one knew what was going on and the only suggestion was that we keep waiting.

Turned out they have pushed back the go live date by one month and offered £40 compensation when we should have received more than £100 by the calculation on their website. While we made a complaint, they said 'there is nothing more we can do' and offered us £0 evntually.

6 months have passed and we did not receive any compensation. Big outrageous liars.

Have been with them a while and I did speak to them about year ago but got sucked into carrying on with them as they could tweak things to improve quality but like many others I get a daily workout going to my tv and rebooting it or walking to my kitchen to reboot router. My contract is up and I am a bit ancient so really find it hard work sourcing new supplier and then following necessary protocols to get everything up and running. I agree with all the criticisms……it s not a supplier that I can recommend.

It's Sky Broadband with a no frills option. Support varies wildly from useless to good, depends on who you get and how helpful they are feeling.

If you don't get anywhere call back the next day and you will probably get someone who will help. Generally service is pretty reliable and speeds are ok.

No hassles with contracts, moving home or cancelling is ok no hassle, unlike Virgin where it can take weeks or months.

Basically you get what you pay for, service is pretty much identical to Sky Broadband which is ok for VDSL.

I'm sorry to see all these bad reviews, but I'm very satisfied with Now Broadband. Previously I've had BT, Plusnet and Sky. Now are nice and inexpensive, I just have the cheapest service as I'm not too far from the exchange. It's just as fast as what I had with the others and fast enough for iplayer in HD. If you've got poor speeds and unreliability maybe it's your phone phone line. Also, yes, the router isn't good for Wifi but I use the one I had from Plusnet, changing the settings which can be found with an internet search. I get a deal with inclusive free mobile and landline phone calls but if this finishes I may move to a local fibre network.

I originally made an orderw with NOW broadband 3 months ago. Over 2 weeks ago they cancelled my order because they told me BT Openreach were not able to port my original Landline number. I re-arranged an order with them and was given an activation date. In the day there was no Internet or phone line. They then arranged for a BT Engineer to come. They never came. I then phoned up to ask what was happening. They told me BT Engineers did not come because of strike by BT workers. In fact, the strike was the day before my appointment with the engineer. They then told me I had to phone back after weekend to arrange another BT Engineer visit. Basically, they were asking me to do their job for them. They are also taking direct debits from me when I still have no service. I hope the BT engineer comes next week, otherwise I will have to cancel.

Honestly, how hard is it to at least keep the broadband running for 5 minutes. What a disgrace of a company. Half the speed and reliability of BT for the same price. DO NOT GO WITH THIS CONPANY.

Hi, Now broadband is the worst ever experience i have had since 2008 in UK, their response is pretty poor and bad, they don't provide service connection on time, even after rescheduling the connection doesn't work. if you call customer care they are saying we will test and takes 72 hours and then if we find a fault then will arrange engineer, that could take another 1 week. this very very bad service. and no option of expediting the problem. no escalation mechanism.. poorest service probably I ever imagined in this digital world. god save us with this kind of providers. i dont recommend this service and they are not even allowing to cancel service despite they were not able to meet the service start date. NOW BROADBAND IS PRETTY BAD SERVICE...

Signed up to change from sky to now tv for my broadband and landline at the start of August. Was given a date at the end of August that the swap would happen but didn’t receive a router and my sky kept working. Rang to find out what was happening and was told my order had a problem and had been cancelled. No communication to let me know this. I was then told they would be able to swap on the 16th September but I would loose my landline number so against my better judgment I carried on with my order. Router arrived but nothing happened on the 16th so I rang to cancel everything a spoke to a very rude guy who cancelled the order. Spoke to sky to tell them I wasn’t changing suppliers but was told nowtv had put a stop order on my line with open reach which they couldn’t stop. Spent several hours on the phone trying to sort it out since and the tonight my broadband and landline has gone off. Spoke to sky and open reach has disconnected it because now tv haven’t cancelled the stop. So now I’m left with no broadband and no phone and sky have told me they won’t be able to reconnect me for at least 14 days which is a problem as I work from home. The whole experience has been farcical and has left me out of pocket paying more for my broadband than my new deal would have cost. Sky have tried to help but now tv have been useless. Avoid them!

Stay clear of now broadband. They take money you shouldnt be paying. They wont help over the phone. They pass you from pillar to post. Your activation date says a specific date but it can be two weeks after that date before it becomes active.

Awful Download speed, below average speed even with wired internet/Ethernet cable, often goes down, including during the day, all in all Virgin Media is 100x maybe even more faster, reliable and much better overall than this.

I became a member of NowTV in August and looked forward to having my internet done at my new place in September. I reserved an engineer with them to do the set-up on the 14th which is 2 weeks after I moved in, there has no other available slot earlier than that. and end up nobody showed up.

I called NowTV to see if there has any problem, and turned out they said they got informed that Openreach has rejected the installation so they cannot proceed further. They have also mentioned that they will chase up Openreach and will give me a call back the next day, which never happened.

It is very poor for a company to not let the customer know that the broadband request didn't go through. The reason for it is the staff have inputted the wrong details, instead of a new line activation, it should be a line takeover.

So it turns out they have let the engineer on the day of the appointment know and they never turned up and failed to let the customer know about the situation.

Very poor customer service raised the case to the complaints team, got a half-hearted apology, along with a one-month credit, which again, would need to wait for 2 weeks to see if the order will actually go live or if it even worked, asked for it to get speed up, as we are now a month in and still no broadband!

We found a better deal using topcashback, but it is for new customers only, have asked if they could transfer the 1month credit....

For many years I was with Plusnet but decided to switch to Now Broadband last January due to a price incentive. It was a big mistake in my opinion as the service has been comparatively poor with frequent dropouts. I often come home from work to find the Internet down with me having to restart their router (which is awful) to get things up and running again.

Will be leaving NTVB before the end of the contract even if it means losing some money (yes I am that desperate to change!).

In my opinion there is better out there so don't be fooled by price alone.

Hi, I had nowtv broadband 8 days ago. There are at least 50 times (sometimes each 10 mins) dropping out seen per a day so far, also the speed sometimes is not stable. It made me crazy. I texted costumer service. They helps me, and told me that the first ten days is normal. I have never seen any broadband that give fluctual signals to ther costumer. It is the worst broadband that I have ever seen in the UK. I do not recommend anyone to use it. If I had not to use it, I would not select it. My zone is not available for many firms and there is so few contract for 12 months. So, there is no any good things but costumer service. It is totally disappointment for me. If it still continues within 1 week, and they do not solve it, I will cancel it. It affected my work, study and communucations.

Only had Internet service for 3 days and decided it was rubbish.

They suggested I manually change channels on my router when Internet was slow.

Basically the technician admitted their routers are rubbish.

Appalling service. I was switching from Sky to Now (same group of companies - so should be a simple accounting/billing change). Many weeks of delays, finally gave up. I now am chasing them to get money back which is proving impossible.

Absolute **** show, there was a 3 week wait for an engineer, he couldnt find us. We tried to rearrange but the day befopre he aws supposed to arrive our order got cancelled. I only found this out by calling their customer service department to check they were coming. I then made a new order which was irritating but the time to set up wasnt too different.

I call them today to arrange an engineer and my order was cancelled 3 days ago without any notice or information being sent to me.

If your home or space is remotely hard to reach dont bother with these guys.

Only been live with them for 3 days, wifi router extremely weak, cannot reach (poor signal) the back of the house. router is installed in exactly the same position as the old EE one. Worst thing is there is nowhere to report this to, and no contact number, just irrelevant FAQs. There's even direct line of sight from the router to the back of the house! Really disappointed- beware unless you live in a bedsit!

I can't say anything about the speed of the service yet as they've yet to sort out the installation. They gave us predicted installation dates and have repeatedly missed them, giving new predicted dates at the very last minute. Trying to speak to customer services is a waste of time as they won't even acknowledge that there's a problem, have absolutely zero sympathy for the predicament they have put us in and apparently require 72 hours to escalate the case to a manager.
I wish I'd read the Trustpilot reviews before taking out the contract. I'd have paid more to not have to deal with these people.

Router is absolutely not fir for purpose and broadband service is incredibly unreliable going down for seemingly no reason at least once a fortnight for hours at a time. Usually late at night when I'm trying to publish for my work. Customer service is non existent, incredibly hard to find any way to contact someone for support. Shockingly bad service through and through and yet as with most things were now stuck until our contract comes to an end. Cannot wait to go back to Vodafone...

I have had absolutely no problems with Now broadband, There customer service staff are mostly based in Ireland are always very friendly and helpful. Speed is great no issues or any dropouts. Been with them years at the end of year year prices goes up they send the reminder out and always offer me a new contract at the same price or lower. Highly recommend you try them as they offer a 30 day cooling off period where you can change you mind which i really liked when first signing up.

Do not under any circumstances use Now Broadband. Genuinely the worst broadband I’ve ever used - so unreliable and has so many speed issues not even mentioning the two visits needed in less than a year. Have had to spend a fortune on mobile data to make up for it. Even when it works it’s the slowest wifi I’ve found in a major city in 2022 and I live alone too so there’s no excuse. Customer portal is a nightmare to use - only redeeming quality is the customer service workers. Counting the days for my contract to end

Only works in the room the router is in. I need to tether from my phone when I'm in a different room. We don't do any big downloads, just normal stuff. Now we're at the end of our contract we're moving to a different supplier. Do your homework on their broadband speed before signing up. We had virgin before which was expensive but worked, this is cheaper but only works in one room. So, you get what you pay for a guess, it's just that most people need their broadband to work through their property...

A very poor experience, the router was not fit for purpose and Wi-Fi could only be used within 10 meters of the router. They refused to accept the issue was related to router and insisted that I split the band frequency. While this helped the range marginally it slowed the speed. An engineer was sent out and there were no background line faults and a second router was sent. The same issues continued. I have switched to another provider and I now have Wi-Fi across the whole house. I would not advise using NOW as a provider if you rely on broadband for home working.

I thought I had experienced bad customer service before, but then I had to deal with Now TV broadband customer service and realised how good everyone else is compared to them! Honestly the worst I have dealt with and I spoke to them on 4 occasions on one day. Incompetent, apathetic, and not able to do anything to resolve a situation. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Never received hub, called 1 day before going live, was originally lied to by customer services claiming hub was delivered. Later told by another employee they were running behind on dispatch, could not give me any information about delivery date.
Was still charged bill on day internet was meant to start while still having no hub.

No internet/phone line since 19th July. Engineers could not be bothered to fix the fault. 16 days later still not fixed. Asked for manager three separate times. No call. No idea if it when this will be fixed. Paying for Sky Sports, Movies and Entertainment to name but a few. No service. No Netflix. Had to cancel three subscription channels. Engineers haven't reviewed the situation since 26th August. Umpteen calls resulted in nothing being done.

Service is good. Customer service is non existent. Only tv customers can chat online. Broadband customers have to call but no number is listed on website or in member area. Online bot just sends you to member area.i changed payment details but they still trying to take from old details. Obviously they don't want my money lol

Have had Now Broadband on and off for a few years. The transition to them has always been straightforward and their Fibre broadband has worked well for streaming/gaming. Never had any need to contact customer services.

    Unbelievably poor service.
Extremely slow speed. I can’t believe this company is still standing here despite this poor service.

I wish I could have another choice. Their speed is never as good as they promise. I even sent them the screenshot of speed which was just below 1Mbps, but they still didn’t pay any attention at all. I can’t even see a 5 minutes youtube video with this broadband without being interrupted 3-4 times due to poor speed.

Thanks to my EE mobile connection which has far better speed than this broadband, which I have to use so often to send my emails or do my office work, which is impossible with this broadband.

I wouldn’t recommend this connection to anyone at all. I even asked them to terminate, but they wouldn’t do it. I wish I could know how to complain against this company. Does anyone know how to do that?

Got my installation address completely wrong & despite repeated efforts to get them to amend it, they kept saying 'we use the Openreach address for your property' when I went online to Openreach used their post code checker for broadband for my address, up it came with my correct full address. Now ignored it even when I sent them the screenshot.

I ordered my broadband end of June to have it ready for the 15th of July but they kept pushing back my installation date without any reason. So no internet for 2 weeks, I then had to switch to BT. Avoid them if you need your broadband quickly

    DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
I signed up to Now Broadband after seeing them on a comparison site. I wish I hadn't.
I waited weeks for the broadband to be set up, and was then told an engineer needed to come out. First, the engineer turned up unannounced and didn't have the right ladder to set us up. The day after, another four engineers arrived and got us sorted.
The internet was good for four days, until it was cut off. When I rang them, it turned out our order hadn't been placed properly, and I was told it would be sorted within 24 hours.
I rang back a day later, and was told actually the whole order needed to be re placed, which would take a week (even though it worked fine one day before).
This was supposed to happen on 27th July. When I phoned to confirm it today (26th), it turns out I'm now booked in for early August.
So we're out of pocket, I'm spending half my life waiting for engineers or speaking with call centres, and still have no broadband to allow us to work from home.

Shocking service, useless company, do not use.

    Avoid NOW Broadband.
They overcharge, do not preserve your existing phone number, are late in making connections, and then do not honour 'compensation' they offer for their mistakes.

    My father is 92.
He wanted to change to NOW broadband to save a little money.

They failed to process the order in January.
In February they started a transfer, this was to be made on 11 March.
They did not request a working line transfer until 14 March. 3 days late.
    So the phone went dead.

Because they were late the telephone number was put into quarantine.
So a 92 year old is expected to change all his contacts at the hospital, doctor, bank, credit card etc to suit NOW.
Openreach and OfCOM say the number is preserved and available, but the current provider has to sort it out, instruct (and pay for) a 'manual' transfer.

After a month, and many calls by mobile, they actually got the connection working.

Their supervisor in Londonderry, offered 3 months free of charge as compensation.
What they actually did was take £33 a month instead of £18 every month.

When he complained about overcharging they deducted £15 from his bill, then said he was in arrears, and disconnected his broadband.

NOW never reply to any emails.
The CEO Marina Storti appears to not exist.
In short, they are a shower of s***.
    Avoid at all costs.
