    Downgraded from 400mbps to 200 as I wasn't even getting 100mbps. Still the same, not even getting 100 let alone what I pay for. Can't get a signal from my bedroom to the living room and I live in a 2 up 2 down ffs

    To be honest it's a zero trying to work from home, as if times aren't difficult enough. Shameful that we are stuck with a below than average service. We need an end to Kcom being the only service provider we should have a choice.

    A company that upgraded all of its systems, YET is still behind in the times.

    Just because you upgrade to 200 mb/s, it doesn't mean you are buying the stability of 200 mb/s which has always been KCOM's issue. You are buying 200 mb/s, but you are getting around 40 mb/s.

    Switched from Sky 2 weeks ago. Install wasn’t carried out on time was a week before it was completed correctly. Then once connected good speed but constantly dropped out. Unable to use any device or watch any of my usual programs through apps such as Netflix etc. Dial up was better!! Shocking to think that this business has a Hull monopoly. It has been cancelled today and I will be returning to Sky…..

    Everybody i know has the best package kcom have to offer however, everyone whom i have discussed this issue with is highly displeased at the regularity of the connection going out for no apparent reason. Even when it is not down, the connection is very poor and nowhere near the promised speeds.

    Just the worst, most overpriced service from a company I have ever had to deal with, and in the rural Hull area we have no other choice! a staggering £50 a month JUST for phone and broadband!!.... The equivalent Talk talk package is £20!

    After having waited on the phone for nearly half an hour to speak to someone about my bill, which didnt explain at all why my bill was more than usual, I finally got through.
    Apparently I've come to the end of a slight discount which was for 12 months when I thought it was 18. The contract is 18 months.
    After discussing my usage, I'm told that I only use less than 40 gig thiingies a month and use about 9 local phone calls.
    They only have deals for either 20 Gigs or 200 Gigs. So I have to pay for the 200 which is 4 times what I use.
    This is appalling service and they have us by the short and curlies because there's no one else. I agree with everyone else about KCom. It is rubbish.

    I am 22 and have been with kc for some years now. I've always hated their speeds as I had a speed of 12 megabits (1.5 megabytes). It was awful to download games with since it took me something stupid like 16 hours for a 70 gigabyte file. I have to admit i was skeptical of the new lighstream being installed as I thought there was no way they would hit the speeds they showed. I have to say the new lighstream is amazing, i pay for the 3rd package i believe with a speed of 400 megabits. Had it 6 weeks now and i am still obsessed with speed testing it to see the numbers, it is always 422 megabits (52 megabytes). astonishing improvement from what i was using. I've never dealt with customer services since the Internet is in someone else's name, hence why i haven't done a rating there. Hated KC for about 6 years but now i love the lightstream, thanks KC!

    Was promised a minimum speed of 4.8mbs unfortunately for me all they could give me was a top speed of 2.2mbs at best during an off peak time ie 3am on a Sunday morning at a tea time was lucky to get 1.5mbs. So if I wanted to play on my ps4 online or watch Netflix everyone had to disconnect phones and stuff. Well worth the £55 a month I was paying. When I complained they did nothing simply saying it was showing over 5mbs at there end. Sorry but no. My mobile phone gets 16-20mb

    This has to be the worst company I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. Zero professionalism, no communication (the irony!) despite countless emails regarding a refund, which they say I'm entitled to, still no refund after 2 months, and no reason why

    Absolute joke of a company. I'm no longer with them. I'm with 3 homefi. Got a 4h router through them and a took out a SIM only with unlimited data. A lot faster that kc and only 20 pound a month. Would not recommend kc to anyone. Worst company in the UK.

    It is a total failure. Low quality service keep freezing internet streaming with low quality of support team who do not enough expertise to solve the basic issues. Parental control is just not working at all.

    Had Lighstream now for three years since moving to the area. A consistent fast connection, prices a little high, but no complaints.

    i dont like the fact that i pay monthly for my broadband /tlephone bundle but dont always use it all and kcom cant roll over any unsed data. isnt that classed as stealing from me? other companies are rolling over for uo to 3 years.

    With Kcom's monopoly, customers have the choice of either no internet or Kcom internet. The service never works reliably any 1 day, the speeds vary drastically even the same distance a device is from the router. Extremely dissatisfied but no alternative.

    KCOM seem to be plagued by customers who can't tell the difference between their wireless connection and broadband connection. Never had an issue with performance, especially since jumping to Lightstream - excellent connection, equally good support - can't fault them

    my current deal ran out 2 months ago with my cotact from Kcom about reviewing what deals are available. i called today and was told no deals are available at discount only for new customers.Very poor sales team kcom.very happy to knock on my door and get me signed up 4 years ago

    Left with no email use for the third time. Running a business with these jokers is impossible. Want to get rid of my landline as I only get nuisance calls on it. I'm working to dump K Comms. Also should be able to chat till 8 on a Saturday. Not available at 7. GARBAGE SERVICE

    What a shower of **** this company is.I find it strange that if you run a speed test kcon shows up 94Mbps and BT wholesale shows up 47Mbps (supposed to be 250Mbps). Kcon massaging the figures slightly me thinks. Their monopoly was agreed in a different time when different rules applied - it is not relevant now and should be cancelled.

    When my internet went down the staff were helpful identified the problem and sent out replacement part needed the next day. I always get good service and it’s good value too.

    I have had lightstream for a year now. At first it wasn't too bad, but now the speeds are utterly dreadful. On a speed test it's barely managing 2mbit on the 250mbit package, less than 1% of the expected speed. Even in the middle of night it barely reaches a quarter of what I'm paying for. If you're on the old ASDL and think lightstream is an upgrade don't waste your money. That was actually reasonably reliable.

    Utter crap. I was with BT before this and I sure miss them. 130k download speed, when it isn't dropping out and when I complained after a little while they closed the live chat and had the cheek to send me an sms to say that the problem had been solved to my satisfaction. I'm cancelling and they can take this rubbish away. They are nothing but con merchants and only interested in taking peoples money and laughing at us

    Service is great except the pricing. £52 for 400Gb limit. Extortionate!! Comparable services elsewhere are so much cheaper. The only difference is FTTD (Fibre to the door) rather than FTTB (Fibre to the box) but I'm not aware that this is creating a marked improvement. Need to sort out prices but very happy otherwise.

    telephone line down,ring customer service,,my equipment at fault,but amazingly begins to function after phone call,internet down,lightstream,ring customer service,amazingly begins to work again after 5 hours.if ever there was a case for the monopolys commission to intervene,its kcom,would leave in an instant if a viable alternative was available

    Absolutely abismal service, 40.00 a month for 5meg at best, continually drops out and at 5pm don't even bother until 9pm. I detest this company, but I can not go anywhere else. My phone is faster. I had a Kcomm engineer down and he knew less than me, he had not even heared of a surface pro..I would recommend an unlimited phone package before signing up to this detrius

    After many months of trying to get broadband, and every possible error being made, Lightstream has been installed, yet my bill shows the old bundle. So I rang, to let KCom know they had got the bill wrong. I expected thanks for letting them know. No thanks, a barely civil response from Customer Services. KCom is so arrogant in its monopoly position. I would like to say my broadband speeds are much improved - but I cannot.

    Kcon are hopeless their Broadband is expensive and rubbish and it constantly breaks down! For your own sake if a Kcon comes found trying to sell you services tell them to Piss Off and then do a Larry Grayson and Shut That Door don't have anything to do with this con Artist so save a Fortune by going to Vodaphone call them on 08080408408 as they are a lot cheaper than Rip Off Kcon

    The worst company I have ever had any dealing with!! Door to door salesman called and I agreed to KCom installing Lightstream Broadband: Full Fibre 100 system at monthly cost of £24.99 a month with no installation or activation cost and my existing contract paid off. KCom sent me an order confirmation staing monthly cost of £39.99/month and £24.99 activation fee! I have now spoken to 3 different members of their ‘customer services’ team; on the first two occasions they promised to send me a revised contract with the correct details. It seems they can talk the talk but unable to deliver on what they promise! Today I spent 41 minutes speaking to the third member of their ‘customer service’ team who at first couldn’t find my address or account and then said it had been put in the wrong place. After several ‘I’m going to put you on hold while I speak to a colleague and a final put on hold whilst his manager took a look at it, I was cut off!! Stupidly I thought I would give it one more try and called again and after waiting 26 minutes for my call to be answered I was cut off again!!!!!!!!!!! I have now spent 115 minutes of my life trying to rectify KCom’s inability to send a simple contract by email.
    KCom are either totally incompetent or an outfit of scammers and I really should have taken note of the online reviews of this company, most of which are awful
    I have now cancelled the fraudulent contract and the bank direct debit (which they set up on the first day!)

    I cancelled with KCOM in October,as I was moving to a new provider.
    They started a new direct debit in November and then took money till I realised in January when I got a letter saying my bill was going up. Rang up staright away, no live chat of course, to be told, the cancellation team had not done their job and it would all be sorted, a credit note would appear followed by a cheque.
    Waited 2 weeks, got the letter, no money.
    Sent some contact us emails, waiting the max 3 days between each one, 700 unread emails to get through apparently.
    Got no useful answers, rang up again, waited on hold for over 30 minutes again, got told they would put it in my bank, why could this not have happened straight away? Have it by Tuesday.
    Ring today (it is Tuesday), its just been actioned this morning, take another 6 days or so. Can I complain to someone please? What are you complaining about? Seriously, you have stolen my money and are now not returning it.
    Escalated to complaints but that takes another 7 days to answer. I can only guess they have a lot of emails to go through judging by how poorly I have been looked after.
    Go with one of the MS3 companies, HullFibre send me a nice email every month to say thanks for being part of their company.

    If it was possible to give less than 1* I would. Absolutely disgusted with this company. They have the monopoly in Hull and are therefore charging 3 times what the rest of the company is charging. They also only have 18 month contracts, which is absurd in a university city where all the students will require 12 month contracts, and the fees to reduce the contracts to 12 months are around the £250 mark. Disgusting.

    Since the lightspeed has been put in my area my broadband speed is down to 2.8mbps. Absolutly disgusting and a lot more expdnsive then a lot of other providers that we can not get!
