Avoid EE if you have children!! My issue is less to do with the speed of the broadband (though that's not great) but with the absolute travesty that is safe browsing with Norton. To keep your children safe from adult content firstly you must register to buy the Norton Securities software (the first year is free but you have to give them payment details to get it). Then you must download a chunky bit of software or two apps on to every device you own (two apps??? With Sky, safe browsing was done by logging onto their website and switching it on! That was it!). Next the Norton Family app disables Safari, as it can only keep you safe if you you it's own browser!! What?? What about all my keychains and history and bookmarks?? And if you go through all that with every single device in the house (we have 9 devices between us, not including 2 raspberry pi) your children are still not safe if any of their friends come and visit, because their devices don't have the two apps installed! What an utter pile of *****. I want my IP address to block adult content, just like it always has, with every other internet provider we've had. Instead I've got a phone that still has Safari disabled (even though I have now deleted the Norton apps), and I'm shopping for a simpler solution, which I will have to pay for. I intend to charge it back to EE, with a bill for the hours I've wasted on their over-complicated Norton partnership. Rubbish.

onto each and every device your children might use (I started with mine because they jump on my phone pretty often to google something). Then in order to activate the safe browsing features the app disables Safari (or other browsers)!

We changed over to EE 3 months ago.
EE cut us off completely every evening around 9.pm. We have no internet until the next morning when we have to reboot our modem. An Open-Reach engineer set us up with a BT modem, which worked fine all weekend no cut off at 9pm. So even though these reports from Open Reach are going through to EE, they are totally ignoring the findings.
EE keep sending out engineers and then closing my case.
Open reach engineers have reports regarding this issue and EE are not doing anything about it.
I would also mention that Alana was allocated to my case last week and assured me she would ring me on Saturday, she still has not……………..
My complaint has been escalated and then closed, it seems EE have no intention of resolving this problem even though they have the reports, they are dismissing my case, hoping I will go away. I know there are lots of other people in this situation; we need to contact Advertising Standards Agency and Trading standards.
We are paying for a service that we are not receiving.
Our service from EE is not fit for purpose, so EE need to offer us a price reduction or free us from our contract.
If you get nowhere ask for a deadlock letter, I shall be doing this next.

EE broadband is absolutely horrible. Complete and utter garbage. Staring at the buffering logo on my screens has caused me such high blood pressure that I’ve now started to go gym until my contract ends.

Worst customer service I've ever had to deal with. Since I joined my internet is nearly non-existent with no phone-line and internet for a whole 3 weeks with not a penny compensation and if that wasn't enough they keep on charging me for calls to Timeline that I don't make.
    Avoid at all costs !!!

Absolutely dreadful. A shameful excuse for a broadband provider. I have spent the last 30 minutes watching (correction, trying to watch) a 30 minute TV programme . Do you know how much of the programme I was able to watch in that ammount of time ? Just over 8 minutes! because of repeated buffering which eventually got stuck. Not impressed at all. Would not recommend. Please do yourselves a favour and avoid at all costs. This outfit doesn't even deserve to be in business as far as I am concerned. I had the same issue when it was Orange. Fell for the lies I was told at point of sale that I wouldn't experience the same problems. Should have known better! I have already phoned them up. Yes, they admitted there was an issue and fixed it. But the fix was short lived. A few months on and we're back to square one. Its not the area I'm in or my laptop as I experienced problem free broadband for several years with Talk Talk. I will be heading for the hills the moment my contracts up (or possibly sooner and with no intention whatsoever of paying any penalties for the crap service they provide). I will not be fooled into taking out any broadband with them ever again, no matter what they say to me!

I had EE broadband for one year. Never had a problem it was excellent.
Left to join Talktalk sorry I did having slow speeds and have to reboot router several times especially at nights. Will consider rejoining Ee when my TalkTalk contract expires.

Much slower speeds than we should be getting on our contract, an unreliable router/modem that requires constant attention to avoid network drop outs, and struggles to deliver a signal upstairs into the bedrooms. Upgrading to Virgin Fibre ASAP.

Just switched my broadband from TalkTalk to EE. My EE broadband was activated today but I still haven't received the router from EE! They claim that it it small enough to fit through a standard letter box and that their courier tried to deliver 3 times - I have a standard letter box and still no router... I called them 3 times and today was told they would post another one next Monday. This means I won't have any internet access for nearly a week... Very disappointed, wish I'd stayed with TalkTalk...

If there was an option to use a zero then I would. It's been over a month since switching providers. My internet previously was perfect, no issues whatsoever. Switch to EE in good faith and from day one no internet.
Called over and over again. At first it's "wait 10 days and wifi will impreove"...then..."wait another 10 days"....then "wait 3 days"...then a new router.
It's been over a month and still no wifi -- speed test shows 0.69 download speed. Highest it ever reached was 1.69.
The fault has to be EE but they are not allowing me to leave their service without paying a fee despite not receiving a service that is being PAID for. It's absolutely disgusting the way customers are held to ransom. They have fobbed us off yet again saying to wait 2 more days. I wish I stayed with Talk Talk. The TV was crap but at least the wifi was good. i can't even work from home let alone do anything for pleasure.
Awful customer service. AVOID AVOID AVOID

Terrible experience with this underhanded company. I realised a couple of years ago that we were completely over paying for the broadband speed we had from them. Called them up to cancel and they managed to sell me a new discounted 18 month deal. After 3 months they put the price up when it was supposed to be fixed for 18 months. Then at the end of the 18 months they start charging nearly double the agreed rate and wait for you to notice! Taking advantage of the fact that people are busy these days and not always paying attention to the companies ready to steal your hard earned cash from right under your nose. Disgusting way to treat loyal customers! I shall be seeing if I can take this up with a consumer watchdog or similar.

    AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!

I've been on the phone to EE for 1 hour and 33 minutes so far. I'm currently on hold so thought I'd multitask and write a review at the same time. I transferred my phone line and broadband from Tesco to EE on 3rd Feb and have never had an incoming phone line since then. Internet has also been extremely slow. This is my 5th phone call to them and today I told them I want to cancel.

I've been told I can't cancel without paying a termination charge! This is despite the fact I've been paying line rental for two months without a phone line. I'm currently on hold with the technical team as I have no alternative.

I have never experienced customer service which is so bad! Please don't put yourself through hell and stay away from EE!

If I could rate it zero I honestly would , I genuinely thought you couldn’t get worse than Tesco mobile but clearly EE proved that you can get worse than them... moving to EE was the worst decision my parents ever made .... my 4g is absolutely a bag of rubbish it goes soooo slow everywhere I go ... It decides to not even turn on when I turn it on sometimes ... has mind of its own .. decides when it wants to work and that’s never . My parents even sighted up for a contract with them for a wi Fi box and I swear it never works on mine or sisters phone nothings loads it goes so so slow I can’t even deal it gets me so so angry . the worst part is even when there’s only one person using the wi fi it still goes extremely painfully slow ... I can’t even use my own 4g never because it NEVER WORKS WHEN IM AT HOME . No idea why?!? It’s been like this for a good few months now but my mum never believed me because her phone the wi fi worked normally for her but for everyone else it just wasn’t until a few weeks ago where her internet started going slow aslwell as mine and she began to believe me that it’s awful . It’s ruining everything for me !!!!!!! It’s affecting my work , my college work , my placement work , my emails and most importantly my youtube and netflix !!!! Sort this out ... we need SKY back we took it for granted wow

Worst customer service ever! In the last 3 month's I've had at least 3 weeks with no internet. They take so long to resolve issues. The customer service people are extremely patronising and rude. They keep you waiting for hours with no apology at the end of the wait. Difficult to understand them. Nothing good to say.

Two months without reliable connection. Was told same answer over and over again but no action. Rude customer services staff who cut me off a few times. I would not go with this provider. There is no value for money. Worst mistake of my broadband life. Indeed not all broadband providers are created equal. Run for your sanity.

I joined ee to try save some money on my home broadband - I made the biggest mistake of my life. I have had to call them out 5 times and still the speed is fluctuating between 0.2 mb and 1.0 mb - totally useless - can hardly call it broadband. Their customer service is RUBBISH every time a level 1 technician answered phone he couldn't resolve it and said he would pass it on to a level 2 and they would ring me back - NEVER DID on 3 occassions Avoid EE like the plague - I can't wait to get back to VIRGIN - a million times better company

The mobile network I found to be very good
so because of this we got EE broadband hoping for the same quality
No it is so un-reliable and i usually find it cut out at least twice a night and even when it does work it is slow compared to other broadbands
    it is a scam
I was applauded by the low quality and after reporting the issue many times and still no improvement or any action on there part at all I am disgusted
I hope anyone considering EE will learn from my mistake and go to BT

To all potential browsers or searching for phone/Broadband service, i would advise them to keep away from EE Official Website altogether, even dont try to check if EE is available in your area, they are real crooks.

    My personal expereince :

1.While i was browsing for offers online on various website i came accross EE which seems pretty good
offers online but in reality its quite the opposite.

    2. EE take down ur home/business landline number and someone will come online chat. if u close that chat you will get automatic phone call from sales department and try to convice and sell you the dodgy service.

    3. You will notice the caller is asian, with ENGLISH names lmao worst of all with american accent GEES.

    4. Trick of the trade is they ask you to confirm your telephone no u looking for service to verify the number then they ask you personal details eg ur name, address and bank details. The excuse is this is just to verify that ur the main account holder of the phone line and can make decision :( In reality its quite the opposite. Regardless whether u place an order with EE to provide you the service EE will proceed to take over from your curent service provider. Even its just a qurry :( Well dodgy.

    5. Salesteam and their Managers miss lead the customers, deliberately create fictious email addresses. Theres no official EE email system which can be tracked or checked whether if its official :(

    6. Your 2 weeks cooling period of cancellation starts once you open the mail received for offers available NOT from the they day switch over takes place from you current service provider which takes 20days, even though you may NOT have AGREED to the switch over. Meaning you tied up with their contract even before you had the chance to test their services.

EE customer services will refuse to cancell regardless whether u agreed or not to their service.
Incase of EE Querry i wouuld strongly advise all potential customer to notigy your current service providers Not to let switch over go ahead till thay have agreed with yourself my phone call and email. As EE will proceed with swtchover whether you agreed or not or even it was just querry abt thier products on offers.

The Best rating on anywebsites are mostly done by EE Staff not by actual customers :((

    SO YOU BEEN WARNED

I cant understand how come such companies get away with this, when we have so many agencies in the country to monitor for such scruplious malpractices.

I signed up to EE from Sky at the end of Feb & was told I would be connected by 20th March. This got deferred to the 27th and then the 13th April and finally the 29th April. By this point I had spent 4 hours being pushed from pillar to post trying to sort out what was going on with my connection so I cancelled the whole order. I am now without any broadband or phone line! Absolutely terrible ordeal, huge time wasters and I was never even told what the hold up was, I was only told there was a delay when I called EE.

DESPICABLE UTTER GARBAGE TERRIBLE AWFUL SERVICE - do NOT believe the hype, EE is NOT a good service provider

5 days delay for my fiber home broadband activation, and still not activated, no one calls, texts or emails to tell you!

...then I call EE home broadband help and some rude young pup questioned my gender and sexuality! ...when I got upset, he said "I work in a gay bar" !!!

    UNBELIEVABLE, UTTERLY UTTERLY inappropriate!

This is the last straw, I dont know why I bothered to stick around after a year of my contract had passed.

After SUFFERING for over a year in contract for SIM and a '4GEE MAX' MIFI box, I have had enough, I have complained so MANY times!

    Nothing changes!

I get free months here and there because the service provided has been so bad.

HUGE delays in sending text messages.
Cell service is INFERIOR and cuts out often (not my phone, I checked!)
Internet is SLOW and you will NEVER get the speeds promised, not even the MINIMAL guaranteed speeds.

I luckily saved a folder full of screen shots, call logs, texts, emails, videos and photos of what I have had to put up with this year - and I am filing a report with Ofcom.

...you should do the same, because EE presents themselves with clever advertising using ' Kevin Bacon ' , boasting about how they are the BEST! ... well they are NOT, they are AWFUL!

I spoke with a telecommuncations engineer who said they have been under government investigation for a long time now, I hope they destroy the whole company!

There are criminals at the head of the table in EE, they are cutting back on services and performances, but still charge the customers the same amount.

I honestly think that EE should be tried in a criminal court of law, they have treated British citizens with disgraceful disrespect!

Cancel your account, dont pay your bill and get Ofcom and a solicitor involved!

CONSUMERS BEWARE! EE is not everything everwhere, EE is NOTHING NO WHERE!

Please for your own safety and mental wellbeing, DO NOT purchase EE Broadband. The speeds that they claimed we was going to get was fine ON THE DAY OF INSTALLMENT. Come a week later and I am finding it a struggle to even stay online for longer than 15 minutes without my download speed dropping to 10MB and under, the broadband fluctuates almost all the time, and it constantly cuts out. EE is without a doubt the WORST experience of my life in terms of internet providers, and even though it's cheap it is STILL not worth buying.

I think ee broadband is good for the internet in general , the problems I has were actually when needing customer service. I would be on hold for a long time, felt as if my enquiries weren't dealt with as they could of been or particularly helpful. Was charged for phone line which I did not have, which was later refunded as I made a complaint about a diffrent matter, and when they looked up my notes etc they found out I was being over charged which resulted me being owed £221 by the company, which I might add took 2 months for them to pay me back, which I think is a joke because whenever I was a few days late with a bill the company would be keeping check on me to see when I could pAy, bearing in mind I was with company approximately 2 years and would always pay bill, but never took 2 months. I have now decided to move to sky broadband.

This EE broadband is appalling. The download speeds are not what I was promised. They are not a bit slower they are completely slower. In fact the internet is almost unusable. The speed is in fact so slow that basic internet functions cannot be relied on. I am fatigued with the number of times, over the past 4 months, that I have complained to EE "Customer Services" about this. They promise to look into it but NOTHING IS DONE! EE is appalling. When the contract is finished I will go elsewhere, in fact anywhere to get away from this appalling Company.

Absolute Nightmare. Lost hours trying to sort out basic issues. Booked of a day for a engineer to come and install a line that never happened. EE wants to charge a disconection fee for a line that was never connected! Would rather be eaten alive by sharks that deal with EE again.

    Rubbish service.
EE has to provide a minimum of 3.4Mbps but sometimes, in the evenings, is less than 0.19Mbps (even 0.08 as well). They do not accept to brake the contract but want you to pay till the end of the contract. They know that speed is out of T&C's but they know as well that it will cost time and money to follow the legal procedure. (Crooks)

Switched from Sky to EE Broadband. Easy and simple? Apparently not... 27 days and counting without broadband since the switch day, and many hours on hold wasting time and listening to lies from their tech teams. Avoid, avoid, avoid. Wish I had seen the reviews first!

If I could give negative stars, I would.

Being with EE is like pulling teeth. It's like a full time job except you have to pay them. In short - it's excruciating.

Speed is atrocious. Router drops connection at almost the exact same time every day. Sometimes it stays down for days. Customer support says nothing is wrong. Well, they're wrong.

Of course, they're more than happy to keep taking our money, even though they provide no service whatsoever, other than an obnoxious flashing yellow light.

If I could eradicate one thing from this earth, it would be EE. They are toxic. Do yourself a favour and avoid them. Avoid a lifetime of hardship and stress. It just isn't worth it.

Very poor quality broadband - slow and unreliable. Recommend avoiding them - the cheap packages will cause you stress and hours on the phone.

Don't waste your time. The only good bit is customer service. At the start it was good but they don't seem to care about keeping you interested because the quality drops quick.

Orange webmail down again, considering EE supposed to be biggest & best there must be a good few people getting paid for nothing, joke reliability
