Disgraceful, incompetent completely unsympathetic and unreliable customer service! Worst customer service in my experience of 25 years! Would never go with them again. Customer care definitely not one of their concerns. You are treated as a number, not a customer.

PATHETIC, Avoid it, worst service you can get. Ordered a house move request, 15 days and engineer visit is done and still no sign of Broadband. I have spent hours on costly PHONE CALLS. You will reach customer care in 30 min waiting time and then customer care people will transfer your calls 5-6 times and in end some one will hang up. FRUSTRATED !! .... Please avoid. I will now have break contract and pay 100£ and shift to perhaps Virgin or someone else.

EE is a company that is incapable of delivering the ISP service that it says it provides. Incredibly slow download speeds of little more than 1Mb/s make this broadband barely useable. I was mis-sold this contract! It's customer services department is also utterly incapable of doing anything about it. I would not have believed there could be an ISP in the UK, that could be allowed to trade and be this awful!!!!.
My simple advice to you, if you are looking for acceptable reviews, with a mind to choosing a broadband provider, is DO NOT USE EE!!!!......Ever!!!

We switched or tried switching from Sky to EE broadband. The biggest mistake ever. While Sky never charged us an engineer, installation charges or deposit. EE charged us all of this and to top it all the engineer didn't show up. Worst was that both my partner and me took a day off work to stay at home. They will wont be returning our deposit to us either. I guess that is how they make money. The customer service of Sky was also so much better. Pls don't switch to EE or take on EE whatever offers they give you.

OMG - what a shambles. Dropping connections constantly. 1st and 2nd line tech support mind bogglingly rigid and clearly no-one has looked at the customer journey from the point of view of a person with normal tolerance levels. Hours on the phone helping support try and avoid sending an engineer. Eventual, predictable referral to second line support on a 'we'll call you back'. Never called back. Luckily I have nice neighbours who let me piggy back on their sky connection - which is lucky because I'd got rid of sky TV in favour of Amazon instant and other internet TV- but obviously that all depends on a competent, decent service. EE is not that at all.

If there was a 0 star i would give it to them. Worst company i have dealt with. Their customer service is awful, that is once i eventually get through to someone! I phoned to let them know my contract was up and i wouldn't be going back to them and the man wanted to know why, who i was taking a new contract with what my new contract included and how much i would be paying.. i think that is so so rude! when i told him i found a better deal at o2 he told me i was stupid for cancelling such a better deal.. Terrible!! STAY CLEAR of EE they might be cheap but there is a reason for that! Im now with o2 and never have any problems!

Even if I manage to make one single person decide not to join EE then this review will be worth it.

The customer service is appalling; there is nobody competent who can answer your questions, no consistency and the waiting times are reminiscent of the 90's. I was put on hold on and off for over 40 minutes (listening to headache inducing music) for a single inquiry that EE didn't even help me with. Oh and did I mention how rude their technical support is? And if you complain and give them bad reviews in their own 'How did we do today' polls, then absolutely nothing happens.

EE wanted to charge me 230 pounds in cancellation fee because THEY could not provide me with decent reception in our new house. I was furious and after 2 weeks of waiting and shouting and stressing they cancelled my number without giving me a PAC code or compensation for the month I had paid for with zero reception. It is just horrific behavior from this useless company.

I cannot express with words how disgusting I find my EE experience and would never ever recommend them to anyone. Please stay away. Please.

EE: your days are numbered if you continue like this. Just read your own reviews on every site there is and stop robbing people.

It has been so bad that I would never recomend anyone this company:
First: after waiting for 3 weeks, They put wring our adress in their database and the router and the enginner never came.
Second: after their mistake, we had to wait, AGAIN, more than 2 weeks for the next appointment. One day before the engineer was supposed to come, the router had not come yet, in fact, the router has never come.
Third: obviously, one day before the enginner was supposed to come I cancelled everything, and which is my surprise when I discover that the day after cancelling it They have charged me the hole month. Un believable.

    Very very bad company.

EE is the worst service provider I have ever come across! They must have the most appalling customer support in the world!
Our internet cuts off quite frequently and, for the second time in about 6 months it slowed down in speed so much (544kpps) that it became impossible to load a website.
After many hours (and days) of going through answering machine menus, waiting time and trouble-shooting on the phone, they finally agreed to send an engineer.
So this engineer not only couldn't solve the problem, but also broke a freestanding shelf in the flat, and didn't let us know about it nor reported the misfortune to EE.

The internet slowness was reported in mid-November and the broken furniture accident happened on the 8th Dec. It's the 3rd Feb today and I still haven't received a compensation from EE. I have been put through the most various teams,

All their customer service seems to be in India, the sound quality is frequently terrible on the phone, and they keep apologising about technical problems with requests not going through - almost hilarious for a telecommunications company.
I waited at home for the visit of a second engineer, as the problem wasn't solved by the first one and, instead, got a phone call from EE to tell me that the engineer wouldn't come because my request didn't go through. But, surprisingly, this very clever man on the phone thought he knew what the problem was and how to solve it.

Also, it's impossible to get anyone's direct contact. There's a lady who seems to now be responsible for my case, but I haven't got any of her contact details, so I need to wait for her to call me!
After 2 months and uncountable hours on the phone, I was given a phone number to call about the furniture damage – no contact name, nothing, just a reference number that the lady dug out from somewhere. And, guess what, this was not even an EE number, it was from BT and they had no idea whatsoever about the case. So now, after sending through all the details again, I am waiting for feedback from BT!

So DON’T swap to EE under any circumstances!!!

Awful. Cuts out several times an evening, slow to load and am cut off every month due to 'no data' - with service resuming a couple of days later. Contract is up in February and I'll be leaving them.

Awful!! Had nothing but problems for the last 9 months, wifi doesn't work on mobiles, Xbox disconnects constantly, slowest internet we have ever had! Every time we ring they palm us off to someone else, had people hang up on, promised phone calls back and never received them! Worst company I have ever used.

We were promised our broadband to go live and be able to use on the 5th January 2016 after the Openreach engineer had been out. He came and done the job and we were then told that the job wasn't finished and someone would be out the next day on the Saturday to finish it. At this point we didn't even have the router and had to ring up about that. The router got delivered on the Saturday but yet our broadband was still not on. We rang again on the Sunday to enquire and we were told that an engineer from open reach would be out on the next day, the Monday. At this point we found everything a bit unprofessional, as nobody could give us a straight answer.
Nobody came on the Monday. So we rang again and we're told that there was nothing about anyone coming out on our account and someone will be out on the Wednesday.
All Wednesday I got texts saying that the engineer was "on his way" and then "doing the job" and then "the job was finished". We both took the day off work now for a third time and nobody showed up and we still had no Internet.
    So we rang, once again.
We were passed through 5 different people, we were first told on the phone there was no record of an engineer coming out and the next date they had was the 17th February. We were then passed through 4 different people and the final person told us there was nothing on our account that said anything about the 17th February and the next available date was the 22nd February.
On the 17th February we received a text from "EE" and this is copied and pasted from the text we received. "Hello from EE broadband. Your broadband service is due to go live at any time before 23:59 tonight. Visit ee.co.uk/journey for more info." Still no Internet.
An engineer from Open Reach came out on the 22nd February which was another date we had to book off work losing out on money and he told us that everything was done and ready and it was just down to "EE" to activate your line and broadband.
We had no Internet all day and then received an email and text message from "EE", again, copied and pasted. " Hi. Your EE home phone is up and running on telephone number xxxxxxxxxxx, so you can make calls once we've sent you confirmation your order is complete." Neither was working so we rang up again and we were told then that is will be on and ready to use before midnight that night.
    The next morning, still nothing.
So we rang again tonight and spoke to a supervisor who has given us permission to use her name and location so that she can confirm what we have said, which she told us was , Sasha, in the Plymouth call centre. She told us that we had two notes on our account one saying we are connected one saying we weren't so she contacted Open reach who then told her they hadn't in fact finished the job and we're coming back out on the 2nd March. I do not know why were not told this or in fact anything for the past 3 weeks. We are extremely disappointed in the service and all the customer service we have received as no one has actually told us anything that is true and we never got/get the same answer twice.
We have not even been offered any kind of compensation for the poor service and hassle we have been through.
We will not be recommending any kind of EE service to anyone

So impressed with EE. I have been a customer with them for 3 years and nothing but fantastic customer service. I just spoke with them regarding moving house... was expecting a lengthy phone call to arrange. Took a few minutes and everything was sorted, no charge, no fuss, just fantastic customer service. Would definitely recommend.

They boast good value, that is if 'great value' includes no internet and a lack of customer service.

It took over a month of EE dragging their feet before we even had a connection. Now it just cuts out intermittently every few minutes. Worst connection I have ever had.

To make matter worse the customer service is just as poor. We have made at least 15 calls from the outset to try and get the internet working properly. We just got passed around advisor's like a baton, to then be left with no result. They say they will contact you back and then do nothing. When you finally ask to speak to a manager, there is a 'form' they need to send and then again you hear nothing!

I wish we had not gone with EE. I have to work from my Android hotspot at the moment thanks to this. Poor all round, wish I could give zero stars.

EE, have the most abysmal customer service I have ever dealt with. Each time I phoned them or they contacted me I got a different story. My problem being which story was the truth. I ended up with no telephone service for over a month yet was still charged for it. Know one seemed to know as to why the service wasn't working.

I bought your EE gadget on July 2014, prior to the purchase my bank detail was taken.Since the purchase never i have tried to use it since my purpose at that time is to use it while abroad in tHE PHILIPPINES , WHICH AT FIRST THEY SALES PERSON LET ME BELIEVed it will function out there but it wasn't. In my return I rang the main office to cancell it, but until now November they carry on taking money from my bank, so i advice my bank to stop them, but they carry sending me bill at home until now December 2014, asking for payment. I have my BT broadband at home and at my work, i dont really need it. Thanks.

I have constant connectivity issues which they tell me is my machines, they get fixed it lasts for so long then goes again. Often on the phone for an hour at a time and on top of that paying for fibre broadband which is no marked difference from before.
    Very frustrated.

Speed is terrible atm, very hit and miss and constant dragging, freezing and crashing from eight o' clock at night onwards, after a smooth period of no problems for over a year. It costs a small fortune as well. I'd leave but have read so many horror stories about how complicated switching is and how mafia-esque phone companies can get about it. I haven't used EE customer services so cannot comment on that (I just put 3/5 because it's midway/neutral) but the service overall is unreliable and frustrating.

Very bad service. Very poor broadband, cuts off continuously, especially in the evenings, to the point it can't even load the pages, let alone allow a video conversation.
Then told I am in contract with the phone line, when I was told I was in contact just for the broadband and the fee would have been substantially less. Very poor service, avoid.

Joined in August for fixed broadband line (coming from SKY). Worst decision ever. Uptime is awful. Speeds are a fraction of what was estimated on my line for fibre. Engineers have been out three times and the customer support is none existent. Takes about half an hour to get through the three waves of customer service agents before you speak with someone who can help you... All the way through you have to suffer the non-stop, rehearsed empty, patronising apologies of trained CS monkeys.
My broadband has been disconnected for SIX count em, 6 days now and I have had no answer despite calling up twice a day. They keep telling me there's a fault on the line and someone will call me back, nobody ever does.
Cancellations are just shrugging and saying yeah fine you can leave but they won't refund my line-rental which was paid up front.
    Honestly never experienced worse service.
All I can say is steer WELL clear of this one.

Be very careful with EE broadband.I'm unfortunately stuck with EE for another 2 years (waiting for FTTC to come to my area) and I have to say I can't wait to leave them because their service is awful. I tried to report a fault to them but they ignored what I said and gave me the same useless troubleshooting methods which don't actually help at all and is just an excuse for them to say they "tried to help". They won't fix the fault because they are waiting for FTTC to fix the problem which saves them money and hassle of contacting openreach who manage the exchange. The connection itself is terrible, it's unreliable with spikes in ping and packet loss which occur every day and happen more than once.

So if your thinking of going with EE think again.

Disappointing that no option yo give below zero star. Broadbanx speed is very sluggish. Video freezes often. If you go to Customer care, then that is utterly bad. I don't know how they still have customers...

Think we must have paid the few ‘customers’ who have provided a good review on here or they are written by their own staff or something. My experience as most others - dreadful. Switched from BT - No router turned up leaving me without any broadband for 2 weeks as they don’t have any way of sending the equipment faster than 2nd class Royal Mail - I am not joking - ee do not use any courier or even 1st class post - not even when they have royally screwed up your order - you have been warned - and if you complain the response is extremely nonchalant- oh well these things happen I think were the exact words and compensation is a £15 credit for the next bill of the service they have failed to provide. This is a true a true story I had to make special arrangements with my place of work to go into the offices which were closed increasing my risk of contracting covid because ee can’t pay for a courier

Apparently, if there's a fault with your broadband you need to call them every day (and be on the phone with their Tech support over 1 hour) to claim that the service is not satisfactory.
Ass many ISPs, all good when there are no problems, just HELL when anything goes wrong. AVOID THEM.

Worst company ever. Don't even think to have a broadband from them. Even contract terms are draconic.

When it connects the speed is ok but it constantly drops out, I was with EE a couple of years ago without any problems then I moved to Sky, again without any problems but since I've moved back to EE its been terrible, every 5 to 10 minutes I have to reconnect. Reconnecting itself can take a few minutes before it allows you to, the end of my contract cant come quick enough.

We are very pleased with the speed and reliability of our broadband connections
We shall renew later in the year with EE - a good service in our area at a very favourable price - still £11.00 a month for line rental - that's just brilliant!

Firstly to the people who dont do research first and find out the calls are weekend only or they arnt getting the speeds they expected do research first.

I expected around 40meg (mbit/s for uou people that dont know the difference between a bit n a byte there are 8 bits in a byte so effectively you download at 1/8th the speed your bandwith says, then its bytes) i get 38, my only floor with EE is they throttle P2P data at certain times but they specialise in gaming so thats a priority. As for the bright box if you configure it properly and allocate your devices with the apropriate bandwith its a decent router. Conection speeds of 144mbit/s on my mac which is decent dor a b/g/n router. The main problem with EE is they dont explain things very well with simpletons, none IT literates and people that just dont bother researching something and expect someone to know everything about a product in a day of training.

Do your research first, get someone that knows about networking to configure your router if you dont have clue then you will be happy with your service.

There is really nothing good to say about EE, but there's plenty of bad! I can't believe they are allowed to continue with business. The service is absolutely shocking, I thought Sky was bad but these people are a complete joke. Not getting a penny out of me! Speed is terrible, the customer service constantly fob you off, but they let u know when your bill is pretty fine that's about it.

I find it an awful shame that people only come on to write neagative reviews. I on the other hand am very very happy with EE broadband. I was speaking to a girl called Jessica from the fibre team in Hull. She called and i was a little unsure at first, if it was actually EE but Jessica assured me no harm was to happen with the very little information i had given. I left the call feeling like i had a very good experience and walking away with a much better broadband service. (The one i had was fine, but like anything always room for improvement). One of the problems i have is that alot of customers i hear, complain about loyalty and broadband services... doesnt it run down the same line as other providers? And where is the loyalty for customers that switch contracta every year because they have a better deal elsewhere. I just wanted to say Thankyou to EE broadband. Never had any issues and it was nice to see aomeone notice my loyalty and am now paying less than what new customers are. Which is how it should be done.
