This company should not be allowed to operate and Of-com sitting back doing nothing. Their customer service is below poor, they never respond to any email and they cannot be trusted as they do not deliver what they say they would. I have suffered a great deal of stress trying to talk to a manager who seemed to be always unavailable

I have the 35Mb no contract Superfast Fibre service at £42.95 per month. I suffer poor latency speeds, returning results of 700ms, 900ms, 1000ms results. I have to restart the router they sent everytime. They don't do anything to resolve the issue when I complain. Avoid.

I have been with DST for over 6 years. At first they were great. The past 18 months have been terrible. Incorrect charging, service drop-outs, inconsistent advice for customer services. I have requested on-line billing (many times) and they still can't seem to manage that (I still get paper copies!). I have asked for my MAC code twice and am still waiting. Excuse after excuse. The sooner I can leave the better.

I have never had broadband on my line since March 2023. it is now June, in the start of may they agreed to mutually terminate the contract as they could not provide the service, I have paid over £80 for a service I have not received, I call them every week for updates. I have emailed them asking for the call transcripts as I am going to the Ombudsman. if I could have give zero stars I would have, avoid. I am waiting for a manager to call me since last week to discuss the service.

The amount of providers available on the "Open Fibre Networks" (previously Independent Fibre Networks) is limited, and Direct Save is one of the very few options. But the technology is the same for all the FTTH providers on the network, so price plays an important role in the choice. Direct Save is one of those few providers. It is not fancy, on the contrary, but the broadband works just fine, installation was a breeze, and sales and customer service - although hardly ever needed - is very friendly (and UK based). Also, the package includes a landline by default, which other FTTH providers do not without paying extra. Conclusion: no frills, but just what was needed, a stable, reliable, fast and as cheap as possible internet connection. Comes with an older router, but with advanced capabilities such as media server. Would recommend if OFNL servers your building.

because of our specific locale, we were/are quite limited in our choice of broadband provider... i admit that i originally selected direct-save because they had a range of service options and also because they were/are very price competitive.... so on that basis (over the period of 18 months that we have been customers) i can only muster a couple of minor grumbles - overall, good value for money

Speeds drops a lot, I work from home a fair amount and the speeds I get are a big concern. Several times I have called in to ask why the speeds so slow and theyve always blamed third parties or just said theyre not... Their customer service team are very poor at their roles; limited knowledge and very obnoxious.

Direct Save should be avoided (and ideally stopped from trading!) They cheat & mislead the customer into paying far more than for any of the supposedly more expensive providers (e.g. £54 charge for not returning the router which never worked and they didn't ask for the return of!). Also the contract defaults to a far more expensive one at the end of the initial period, but they don't tell you when this is about to happen, or when it HAS happened! Don't bother to complain either - "customer service" consists of a gang of rude oiks who will pretend not to understand their own language before helping.

Avoid or don’t sing long term contract !!
I do not recommend this company because I was with them for 6 years I wanted to end the contract because they could not provide me the same speed at the new address so I wanted to quit so they made me pay 150 £
The offered me a lower speed broadband there but I had to pay £40 extra for reconnection but they offered me a broadband with lower speed.
Avoid ! 6 years and that’s how they say goodbye for long term customer!!

The customer service from Direct Save is very good with little waiting to contact and speak to a staff member. However I was never informed before the contract was agreed that the Broadband could not be guaranteed in terms of reliability and speed. I was with BT and it would appear that they could have done better. It is very poor and I am paying top rate.

I have been with Directsave for 10years or more, Yes I have had some difficult times but not so much that it could not be sorted over the phone i am not sure what is going wrong for others but for me I am in no hurry to move.

This is the worst broadband & telephone & customer service I have ever had I have had so many issues with this company for different reasons. I wouldn't recommend them to my enemy as they would recieve the message as the broadband services are slow. Maximum 80mb for about £46 per month. It is a second rate service from a second rate company.

Be very wary of this company. I switched my broadband to this provider after years with Easynet.
I was told I would be on a 1 month rolling contract at £14.95 p.m. They sent me a router which failed and left me down for a week, they sent a second router which also failed so I switched back to my old router. All this cost money for an engineer to sort out connections/network etc. so DST agreed to reduce my monthly charge to £9.95 as compensation. The first months bill showed £14,95 and when questioned about this they now say there was no such agreement and that the 1 month rolling contract is actually a 12 month contract
Sharp Practice would be the best description for this.

After 9 months and 3 complains about broadband speed I was told by somebody from customer servoses thay would cancel 12 month deal and for me to find another surplyer so having paid land line up front I have asked for rebait on service I have not received to make things worse if had phone call today asking y I'm leaving them having had request off new supplier to take over line .having been in business for 28 yrs I'm sure if I treated my customers like direct save I would have not lasted as long I would not recommend this company to anybody as customer care and complains department not botherd .did try to find out who owns company but no luck so obvious thay take our money and run after giving us all the lies thay can blaming everyone but their company Yours unhappily GRAHAM KEIGHTLEY

They accuse you of lies when you complain or report the complaint. One of them even said: "I can't be bothered with that" whilst I try to report a technical problem.
Don't say you have not been warned.

My experience is not great and especially the internet is very slow. When I first contact you I initially asked for a package deal which was not given, I found that out when I received my first bill I then called customer service and they told me that the package I had was great which it wasn’t. To be honest I’m looking for a different supplier but given my location it’s can be difficult.

I have been with this company for approximately 8 months and from the day I started I had problems with the internet service, it is highly unreliable. I could never have the service longer than 20 minutes before I have to turn off the router to get any service. I could only receive internet in my bedroom and I live in a small 2 bedroom apartment. I have made several calls to this company about the situation, however I must admit that there is one person called Martin who is respectable and very helpful in the whole company and he tries his best to help and we find solutions to the problems. However, I am paying for a service and I would like some reliability. My last call to directsave was Monday and I was informed they would call back but I had no call to date. I am fed up..

would never have used this company if i had been told about the hidden charge. only found out after the inital first payment was taken and direct debit set up and they helped themselves to the hidden charges. they had not sent the router out by the time the next bill was generated. avoid this company.
