    Not happy with plusnet been messed about by them for weeks now moved house only a cross the road they book a B.T engineer come come out on the 6th oct to conect my phone line took the day of work & nobody turned up rung them then they booked it in again for the 21st oct took day of work ones again nobody turned up so got intouch then got a text message saying it WILL be on by the 24th oct can take up to midnight so waited again no phone on now they say it was a mistake about the 24th telling me now i have to wait 72 hours for there supplyers to get intouch with them to see when it can be put on WOT A LOAD OF CRAP just sick of getting messed about by plusnet

    The worst internet provider I ever met!
    Most of the day doesn't have any internet speed!
    If you call them the answer is there is no problem, everything is fine!
    It will be a very long 18 months for me.
    I won't recommend them to any one. Avoid plusnet!!!

    After 18 months of awful WIFI signal and putting monthly direct debit up without our knowledge, we thought we would come to the end of our contract. 
    Unknown to us, plusnet 'automatically renewed' our contract for another 18 months
    Tried to argue this as but they just referred us to a debt management company called past due credit. It has cost us £300 to exit the contract we didn't even want, as we don't even reside in the UK anymore! Be warned, do not use plusnet

    I can't comment on broadband performance because we didn't get that far. Twice I tried to sign up online and both times it crashed. I should've listened to the alarm bells ringing. Then they altered the time of the installation. Finally I get my welcome letter with all my details wrong. I should say that I gave up my online application in favour of speaking to a human being so I know I gave the right info. But details can't be changed, apparently, without cancelling and starting all over again. No thanks. You've just lost another customer through sheer incompetence and bad service.

    After 4 weeks of failed attempts to switch my fibre BB taking about 9 hours of my time I've given up ! Clueless staff telling me it was my current ISP at fault for the failed switch. I finally got an honest answer on my 5th call to them after 3 weeks. It was Plusnets fault as they hadn't coordinated their suppliers leading to the failure. No one kept me informed of refunded my set up fee despite them cancelling my order. Finally they offered to resolve the matter by giving me ADSL instead of fibre !.....no ta ! Utter shocking lying and/or clueless customer service. AVOID !

    Broadband speeds when we first joined were acceptable but have now slowed down so much it is unusable. Customer service is completely useless when you can reach them. We are leaving, would advise everyone else to avoid this third rate company.

    BY FAR THE WORST PROVIDER AND CUSTOMER SERVICE I CAME ACROSS!!

    They are always trying to make it look like it's your fault. Engineer came to my house but didn't even install the required fibre socket.
    They are telling me I could do this myself. Apparently I don't need an engineer to install it yet I was charged over £50 for the engineer ( Apparently he did some work outside the house in the cabinet) didn't even come to my house to install anything.
    Spoke to them about 10 times in a month, they give me different advise everytime.

    I'm just cancelling my service with them now.

    I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND FOR ANYONE TO GO WITH PLUSNET.
    They will NOT do you proud!

    stay well away , first year with plusnet was ok then during next 18 month contract they asked if i would like to go to fibre optic , i declined. then my speed went to 0.15 mbs i phoned and complained they told me there was a fault in my house , i then changed all cables etc in house still same low speed.i have now found out that they had set my ip profile speed to 0.5mbs which meant no matter what i changed in house or even if bt had built a new exchange plusnet was limmiting me to less than 0.5mbs , so my advice stay away from them

    This Company have got to be the worst service provider in history. Like everybody else I have been conned into thinking I had fibre, not the case, but Plusnet will not release me from the 2 year contract. (even though I don't get fibre) The e mails do not work, the service is shocking. There is no complaints department. Oh and by the way the internet never works. PLEASE AVOID if you want a good service. BAD BAD COMPANY

    PlusNet are rubbish, Router did not arrive installation date did not happen. lame explanation of no email confirmation of order. not at all happy with PlusNet I do not know why I am leaving Talktalk????
    I think PlusNet are overwhelmed with orders and struggling to keep up but its the customers who suffer,

    I am having to use my sisters computer to lodge this review as I have been without internet access for 3 weeks now! I only joined Plusnet in June and I am not impressed. Some of the excuses I have been told is that the fault would be repaired by Monday! Monday came and went twice and still no broadband! Its an outreach problem and out of Plusnets hands! Each time I call, I am on the phone for 30 minutes or more and life is just too short so I have cancelled my direct debit and they can get in touch with me now.

    Awful provider. The Internet worked fine for the first three months at decent but not amazing speeds. Then it became extremely slow, continuously dropped off and we'd report a fault each time, the connection would be restored via a reset and this would last about two weeks before the same problem came back. The online chat is useless, the person only ever tells me to report a fault, there's no point wasting time waiting. The call line is also terrible with a 45min average wait time if you are lucky. Worst Internet provider I've ever used.

    I have had a lot of different ISPs over the years and I'm afraid to say that Plusnet has got to be the worst by far. Connected 3 days late, not a good start! and the amount of downtime is ridiculous, the router they send out is a piece of rubbish, always switching itself off! I have now gone over to EE before the end of the contract as EE will pay £50 towards any cancellation fees that Plusnet charge ( I have already had a letter to confirm I will be charged £21.50 for early cancellation) so in effect I will be £28.50 better off. As most of the other posters on this have said, they do reduce speeds, have rubbish customer service and are totally unreliable. I can only think BT who now own Plusnet is trying to kill it off, one less competitor to BTs overpriced Broadband so called "Deals".

    Wish I had read these reviews before committing to plus.net! Nothing is as promised. Broadband is unbelievably slow, even downloading emails can fail! Constantly buffering or crashing. Service is unusable. DO NOT TOUCH THIS COMPANY.

    Terrible service from start to finish !

    Firstly the line was installed at the very back of the house ( to save on 2m of cable) meaning there was never any reception at the front of the house.

    Secondly the speed was terrible. Paid for high speed that I NEVER got. Took them 3 complaints over 2 months to send out an engineer who confirmed I was not and never had been getting high speed. When I asked about a refund for the difference I was offered just £25 for the entire year.

    Finally upon cancelling the contract and requesting it run up until the next bill date ie what was already paid. They completely ignored this instruction and cut me off a week early !

    The service is shocking, the speed is sloooooow and the router frequently went down for no apparent reason. Would stick with Virgin or Vodafone in future.

    Appalling experience. Left without broadband for 2 weeks after the engineer cancelled last minute. Then lost my old phone number from my old house as they failed to follow procedure. Nightmare experience. Sales team tells you all sorts but delivers none of it.

    My broad band fiber speed keeps going up and down like a yo-yo dropping down to signal figures at times. but when i complain i am told there is nothing wrong i when they put it on test its a constant 17. don't i wish

    Worst customer service ever! Gave up trying to move to plus net - every time I rang them got told something different. My advice to anyone thinking of moving to plusnet is - don't. Absolutely horrendous experience.

    They connections is okay, nothing really special, slower in busy times, but more about company you will know when you want to move or switch, they charge you line rental even when you do not will be usning it, and it is write with invisible small letters in the terms and conditions, also they will apply £40 of early cancellation fee for breaking the contract, so in total offer online was £21, but after my calculations how much we just paid them it is £41/pm.

    SCAM AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS!

    Appalling treatment of a customer who had been loyal for 18 months. I asked for a fibre upgrade before we moved into our property that had been occupied previously by a friend, with Plusnet ADSL working ok. Fibre ran at half minimum speed during the 10 day settling down period. Advisers could not improve on this.
    Then, the day that they were supposed to bring across our previous phone number, they messed that up, leaving us with no broadband at all for (so far) 20 days.
    Twice they have promised to get us back up and running with ADSL as it’s quicker to set up than fibre, just to get us something, as my wife needs it for work; and twice someone has overruled that and reordered fibre. We are currently expecting to have fibre in another 10 days, meaning we’ll have had no Internet for well over a month!
    I formally complained and have had no response. I have asked 3 times for an update in the last 5 days with no response so I had to ring them again. It’s hard to pin down an individual to discuss a complaint.
    Do yourself a favour and avoid this company.

    It’s a shame I couldn’t give Plusnet ZERO stars because that would be my honest rating. We are a business that relies on broadband in many ways but are continually let down by either very slow internet or no internet at all. When I call to report outages it takes about an hour to get through only to be told their “line test” is not showing any faults. I then have to actually ask to be put through to the complaint department to get anyone to come out. Even after an engineer visit we are lucky if the broadband works for a week before it breaks again.
    At the moment we have no internet at all. As usual today I was told there was no fault and they are sending out a new router which they can’t guarantee will arrive tomorrow...
    As a business, what am I supposed to do until then??
    Stay away from Plusnet - they promise the earth but definitely do not deliver!!!

    A truly dreadful company. My mother in law died in July.
    She had set this up a few years back and has been paying through the nose for a phoneline only (she had no computer).
    After a long long wait we spoke to Plusnet who refused to close the account without speaking to her! We sent a copy of the death certificate by post (they are apparently very old fashioned and have never heard of emails) but they have ignored that and keep sending more and more bills.

    Absolutely shocking broadband.Was okay when we first signed up to it but we decided we needed faster Wifi so switched to unlimited fibre wifi and calls,Just a complete waste of effort and money. Considering its supposed to be a set price for the wifi they charge us more and more every month. We only use the phone in emergencies but that shouldnt matter as were still paying for unlimited. The broadband goes down about 10 times a day now sometimes down for up to half an hour or more. Cant use social media,watch netflix or youtube or even game on it because its that slow.You have to turn the wifi on and off on your phone just for it to work. Yesterday i done a commection test and my download speed was 1.1kbps! Now when youre paying over £50 a month for “fibre” you expect to get it. Quick enough in taking money off you but cant provide decent broadband services! Avoid at all costs!!!

    Absolutely appalling service. Been on hold now for an hour with a very simple/ straightforward query concerning my non existent upgrade to fibre which I was promised yesterday would have taken place by midnight last night. No one is able to tell me anything AT ALL today. Useless. Regret trying to upgrade. Waste of time. Current speed is 3.9!!! Says it all.

    Customer service is very poor. Do not trust the online chat service.
    When things go wrong they are of no help, and seem happy to loose a customer rather than make up for their mistakes.

    gradually getting slower and slower, went off last night, submitted ticket, still no response,sat on phone for over an hour and still no answer so gave up for now, tied to this rubbish for another 8 months thanks to Curry's talking me into this change when I bought a fridge freezer....been with sky,talktalk and bt before, this is the worst, not worth the saving, can't even get on most webpages as it times out.

    Do not use this company!! I called to get broadband and was told I could have fibre optic up and running in 10 days. I chased after 10 days and was told the order was on hold. I then got a phone line fitted and chased again for broadband. I was told eventually they do not do fibre optic in my area and I could have standard fitted within 24 hours. I agreed to this and as soon as I put the phone down received an e-mail saying it will be a further 2 weeks. I have now cancelled. I am back to square one with no broadband and having to look for another provider. I have probably spent 6 hours of my life on hold with the disgraceful customer services. Please stay well away from this company.

    I just recently became a „customer“ to Pulsnet. For the last month, it has not worked (except for one day) and it looks like this problem cannot be resolved in the near future because of my availability during working hours. I asked to cancel my contract or pause it until the problem is resolved since I am not able to use their services. cancellation seemed not possible for them without extra early determination charges and they were not able to pause for as long as it takes to resolve the problem (my originally preferred option). Due to their poor customer services, I would not recommend this provider.

    The worst company I have ever dealt with. They shouldn't be allowed to treat customers the way they do. No Internet for a month, fobbed off on the phone and missed appointments. Theyve still taken their money though!!!

    Bad, interrupted wifi service, even though we recently moved to fibre optic. But the worst thing is the ABYSMAL customer service, for which you never wait for anything less than 30 minutes to be connected! Incredible in this day and age!

    PlusNet is without any doubts the WORST broadband provider in the UK, and probably in the entire World! It is not just that the service is poor, the most annoying and frustrating thing is actually the fact that if you need help & support NOBODY is ever there to help! I was with PlusNet for 2 years and only once (!) I was able to talk to someone over the phone and it was for a complaint. These days I still get annoyed about the all experience especially when I see their AD on TV: "We'll do you proud"? You make me sick, more likely. Appalling Company!!! Please do not fall for them!

    Trying to switch to plus net, they failed withing more than 3 weeks. Poor customer service, every person saying different thing, had to cancel after 15 days of waiting as they want me to wait another 10 working days.

    What an absolute shambles of a company!
    I recently placed an order to change from my current provider who have connection issues, And because of PlusNets incompetence cancelling my order and not informing me and nearly leaving me with no internet as a NHS staff member working from home. I am now forced to sign up a new 12month contract with the company i was trying to get away from. To add to matters of incompetence I cannot get a refund for my £22.99 signup fee that was promised over 12 days ago I have had to contact my bank to recover the funds. Complete waste of time!

    I have just joined Plusnet and tied into a contract Broadband is horrendous, cuts out all the time can't listen to music, so slow and much as the Customer Service team try and help they eventually say I'm tied into a contract and there's nothing can be done. They even advised me to buy a new router saying the router isn't great after many rows with the team they even supplied and covered the cost of a TP ROUTER from Argos saying this would help my service!!!! Can't believe they would even admit to this. Sorry could go on and on so angry that after moving from E E I find that Plusnet are so bad.
    SO if anybody out there is thinking about moving to Plusnet DONT.
    All the promises they make is Rubbish
