HI, well I ditched Origin to move to Vodafone and I am so glad I did.

Origin never gave me the speed they promised by some margin, paid for 38, most of the time got 20 and that after spending hours on the phone with them (Nightmare business)

Now on Vodafone I am getting 50+ and loving it. it has never dropped or gone below 49mb even at peak times. OK I am not getting the promised 55mb but they have given me a 15% discount because of that, so from my point of view, I am paying some £7.50 a month less than Origin and consistantly getting more than double the speed - Bonus.....get in!!

Changed from Sky due to price and guaranteed min speed of 25mbs. Guaranteed speed is a joke. App said synced at 25 mbs but speed test software saying around 5 mbs. They dropped the price by 15% but it is not worth the money. Sky was very reliable, very rarely dropped out and speed was pretty consistent. I would not recommend changing to this ISP unless you are willing to put up with regular drop outs and poor speeds. You get what you pay for.

THE WORST BROADBAND EVER! Thought I’d save money by getting fibre for £20 per month through Vodafone. Constantly drops out and I can’t even load webpages in less than 5 minutes. YouTube videos don’t load in 360p and the internet kicks my Xbox offline every 15 minutes. Contact Vodafone for them to tell me that my exchange is overloaded on the fibre line and that it’s an Openreach issue, and not their fault. I contact Openreach to find out that they have no idea what I’m talking about! Vodafone will just fob you off constantly. I would rather spend £100 per month if it meant I would have reliable fast internet

I switched from BT to vodafone in April 2018. I've never experience a problem. Switch over was painless and the service has been continuous without interruptions. (Being .7 miles from the nearest exchange may be an advantage).

Brilliant, was with Origin (urgh) was slow, just service was diabolical, took 4 days to answer an email to be told to ring, after 2 hours waiting to be answered hung up

Vodafone are brilliant, old ISP said my line would not support anything over 25mb download, somehow Vodafone have miraculously achieved over 55mb, now that is just a tad quicker than 25mb Mr Origin.

Cant rate customer service and I have not needed to call them but everything works just fine and so fast now.

Switch to them, you won't regret ir.

Been with them six months, absolutely terrible.

    1. Signing up was a nightmare - refused to accept details, tried to charge me the wrong amount, repeatedly rejected my card details.

    2. When it went live service very very patchy - constant drop outs and slow speed. An issue that has never been resolved to my satisfaction.

    3. Customer service appalling - nothing is ever done, you have to explain everything ten times over.

    4. The router is sh*t.

Stay away from this clown company.

I ordered my broadband circuit & later found Vodafone cancelled the order reason being they were fed with false information from some credit check agency. I have not ordered a million dollar circuit & a £20 monthly package.

Took up their Fibre76 offer which was the cheapest at the time from a more trusted provider.
Handover from BT went as planned and was up and running by 5pm of stated day, with speeds comparable to BT.

Since then connection has been reliable and consistent, save for some disruption during road resurfacing in the area.

Following BT work in the area, am not receiving a downstream speed of 72Mbit! (so looks like it's now fibre to the cabinet).

Only frustrations have been an inability to initiate a line check after basic verification (as I could with Virgin & BT), and a very basic modem with limited functionality (doesn't support IPv6 or more advanced DHCP/DNS setup).
Overall, considering cost, speed & reliability would happily recommend them for most.

I contacted Vodafone customer service over an issue concerning unauthorised data usage on my mobile wifi device.
I had recently changed my package which had always had a data cap. I was unaware that the new package was no longer capped. Unfortunately a subsequent bill showed excessive data usage which of course I was charged for.
After my first conversation to discuss the situation the agent advised that the company understood the problem and would find a solution, and that I would get a call from the "back-up team" within 2 hours. The call never came and when I rang again the following day I spoke to a different operative who insisted the bills had to be pad in full and continually referred me to online or via-app notifications and conditions which would have alerted me to the situation.
He also certainly lied when he said attempts had been made to call me as I had sat by the phone for 3 hours after the first conversation.
I was finally offered £10 compensation against charges of hundreds of pounds.
Shocking and appalling treatment of a long-standing customer!

Swapped over to Vodafone Superfast 1 from EE Broadband yesterday. I didn't even have to tell EE i was leaving as Vodafone sorted everything out.

I didn't realise just how slow my old EE connection was until now. Now I can download On Demand programmes on Sky and be watching them within a minute instead of an hour.

I haven't rated the Customer Service as it's early days and I haven't had a reason to contact them.
So far I am very impressed and glad I made the change.

Before you consider joining Vodafone please read this!
My mum has been a loyal customer of Vodafone for 17 years. She has renewed a contract every two years and when I was 11 bought me my first mobile, a pay as you go with Vodafone. These phones eventually graduated onto contracts with mobiles as part of the payment plan. My Mum has degenerative spinal disease so cannot work and is tremendous amounts of pain every day. As I got older and started going out more both me and Mum decided that we needed reliable phones so that if I went out and Mum had a fall she could easily reach me. They are essential as I am now her full-time carer.
In January 2016 the contract was renewed and we got shiny new Samsung galaxy S6 edges! As Mum was a loyal customer and had been with Vodafone for a long time she received a discount on the plan, the total for both phones was £43.52 a month. This discount was supposed to remain in place for the 2-year contract. In other words, up until January of this year.
In November of 2016 the direct debit got cancelled by the bank, possibly due to lack of funds as Mum is disabled and cannot work. Normally if you do not pay your bill Vodafone restrict your service, yes? In our case they didn’t. From November of 2016 up until April of 2018 no payments were made and our service wasn’t restricted. We had no reason to doubt that the bill wasn’t going out as the phones never got restricted. Vodafone never sent a text, letter, email or even made a phone call to notify us that the bill was adding up.
In addition to this the line rental increased from £43.52 for both lines to £43.50 for each line, £87 a month in total. Unfortunately, I have no idea when this was changed as Vodafone’s online billing records only go back 12 months, however in August of 2017 this change had already been made. Again, Vodafone failed to inform us of this. When we finally discovered this in the April of this year, the bill was around the £900 mark.
My mum rang up to find out why this had happened and why Vodafone hadn’t notified us of the failure of billing. She was instantly blamed by Vodafone for not paying the bill and told that it was her fault. Our lines were also restricted. It was finally agreed after many hours of fighting that we would keep our phones and pay £45 a month. £14.25 per line rental totalling £28.50 a month. This is bringing the bill down by a whopping £16.50 a month. We are also now on SIM only contracts and with two and a half year old phones that are beginning to break down.
After a lot of arguing we were finally put through Customer Relations and began speaking with a lady named Sheetal. She has since agreed that the discount was removed prematurely and has refunded us that money, £171 (she claimed it added up to), however I cannot find a refund of this amount on the account anywhere, instead one £130 in March (which is before we even found out about the bill) and one for £66 in May. When I asked Sheetal if she had compared the data usage of our phones against the months where there was no payments made she said she didn’t have the statements and that it would take 48-72 hours to get them and that she would ring us back on the Saturday. That was a week an’ half ago. We are still waiting for a return call from her.
As of the 17th of August 2018 the bill is £707.59.
Despite Mum paying the agreed amount of £45 a month we have had our mobile service frequently restricted. This happens at least twice a month. It has also happened while I’ve been out and heartbreakingly my mum had a fall, which in itself is not that uncommon, and normally she can reach me but since Vodafone had restricted our service she couldn’t call anyone and was stuck on the floor where she had fallen for over two hours. This left her in agony for several days and made me feel extremely guilty. I have since stopped going out in case it happens again.
Two days ago, our service was again restricted despite the payment being made and again we rang up and had an argument with customer relations. Eventually our lines were reconnected and we were told we would receive a call from Sheetal today (30/8/18.) Instead we got a phone call from a man called Asif Shekh. He asked for Mum to pay the bill of over a three month payment plan, £200+ a month (forgive me for not working it out.)
When Mum tried to explain what the she was disabled and that she would never be able to pay over three months he abruptly cut her off and very rudely said ‘Yes, I know that and your daughter helps you. I’ve read the notes.’ If he had read the notes, then he must have read that £45 is all we can afford a month. Why after reading that did he ask for a three month payment plan? When she explained again that she couldn’t pay that much and that £45 is all she can afford he threatened her with our phone numbers being deleted and being taken to court. This left my mum in tears fearing bailiffs. We are now waiting for Sheetal to ring tomorrow (hopefully.)
Ultimately my argument with Vodafone is that they will not admit they made a mistake in failing to either restrict our lines when the bill stopped going through or send out a letter, make a phone call or send a text to inform us. It isn’t about the bill anymore, I just wish they would admit they were wrong and take ownership of the suffering they are putting my mum through.
My advice to any potential Vodafone customer is to run to another company as fast as humanly possible. As if this is how they treat loyal customers I can only dread to think of how they would treat new customers.

I found it shockingly difficult to speak to anyone who knows what's in the package I signed up for. Everyone I've spoken to about an item which didn't arrive in the post fobs me off to a different department, then i'm put on hold for 10mins in between each question. eventually they explain I have to wait 10 working days. Just another way to stop me trying to resolve the problem for a while.

I would recommend vodafone to anyone who fancies living without internet for two months. If not, then avoid at all costs. I wish I could comment on the speed but we are still currently waiting for an engineer to pay us a visit. Our first scheduled visit around the start of July had to be cancelled. However, when my partner tried to cancel it he was told that he couldn’t. When the engineer arrived to find that no one was in he called my partner and shouted abuse at him down the phone. Vodafone then rescheduled our appointment for two weeks time. The engineer did not turn up. When we contacted vodafone they had no idea why the engineer didn’t turn up and said they would call in a few days with information. Eventually we had to call them as they had forgotten to call us back. They rescheduled AGAIN for two weeks time on the 1st of August. During our wait, a member of the vodafone team accessed my partners personal details and messaged him on whatsapp which was completely inappropriate. The engineer failed to visit again and when we contacted vodafone, like the last time, they said they would contact us in a few days. Again, they did not. When my partner called they blamed OpenReach and the best they could do is reschedule for the 21st of August. They’ve tried to win us over with a free gift but just like the engineers, it probably won’t turn up either. Vodafone are completely unreliable and from what i’ve read, the wifi isn’t that great either. AVOID!

signed up for superfast 1 but was signed up for superfast 2 when it all came through the sales guy must get more bonus i guess
so i thought i was going to get a faster service so i decided to live with it
after 4 mnths of speed issues and not even to be able to deliver their lowest guaranteed speed and regular calls to customer service i decided enough is enough
nothing has been fixed like they say they will do if there is an issue
i have now cancelled my contract
the minimum speed i should have got was 55 got 21 no where near what i was promised
the service didnt drop out too often
my advice is stick with what you know
the thing is they are all meant to use the same lines so how one can give slower speeds compared to your previous supplier i do not know
the only thing that changed was my supplier and when i did it was terrible
search for reviews for your new supplier on google before you sign up

Incredibly low quality from the start - miscommunication between internal departments, inaccurate information, continuous mistakes with the billing and a massive waste of my time on the phone repeating the unresolved issues again and again.
I would not try them again and certainly wouldn't recommend them!

Changed from BT to Vodafone Superfast 2 broadband, with call bundle on the landline. Running up to switch over was set reminders from Vodafone and router arrived as promised. On the day the switch of broadband was seamless and not had any problems with coverage, reliability or speed. On BT my download was 55Mbps and after three weeks is 49Mbps, so a little slower but doesn't cause any issues for Netflix at 4K, iplayer etc. Phone was switched over as I kept the same number don't have caller ID but not investigated that as yet. The Vodafone Router is working well, I have a TPLINK VR9000 which I used with BT as a replacement to their hub, only issue was I tried to retain my existing SSID and password, SSID wasn't an issue but the router imposed rules on the password which meant I had to change every device in the house, which is when you realise how many items you !! Will keep the Vodafone router in place for the time being and the TPLink as backup just in case. Overall, very please with the service so far and saving me a significant amount of money from BT's exorbitant charges.

Vodafone guaranteed 10.8 Mbs upfront in writing, initially all went well with installation etc. After a couple of weeks the internet speed started to cause spooling and drop out, speeds of 7.8 Mbs according to Vodafone but Oopla showed 7 Mbs. Router and incoming box was changed and all okay for a couple of weeks and a repeat of previous problem, Vodafone agreed speed had dropped off to 6.4 Mbs but watching TV and tele-conferencing, not together caused spooling and connection loss. Complained and was given the normal checks and they agreed that the rate had fallen to below the 6.4 and was at 5.8 Mbs, Oopla shows 4.8 Mbs. Final outcome more spooling, line down more often but Vodafone has given a whopping 15% discount on monthly charge and basically said live with it or go to another provider. Problem no Virgin in the area and Openreach will be backup so nothing will change. Speed at box is 21 Mbs so telegraph line is degrading quality to circa 5 Mbs (75%), so money being taken for service provided and maintenance but the latter not being done as distance from box to router calls should provide circa 15 Mbs. Vodafone is not in control of Openreach and therefore supplies rubbish Broadband.

Do not consider Vodafone if you need business support. I tried to buy a business broadband and landline package but the engineers did not come on the confirmed date to install it. After repeated calls I was told days later that the engineers had reported a problem with the installation before the installation date, but Vodafone had not passed on this information to me or attempted to reschedule the appointment. All this took a long time to sort out because calls to customer services have to go via home broadband support and incur long delays on hold while they put you though to a business support agent. I was told there is not a direct line phone number for business support. After a great deal of wasted time I have cancelled the contract.

Changed from BT to Vodafone and am on Superfast 1 broadband, with voicemail on the landline. Switchover of broadband was seemless and not had any problems with coverage, reliability or speed. Phone was swtiched over and was able to keep the same number but voicemail wasn't added. I phoned up four times until it was finally added on. The staff were very nice each time but the fact I was told three times it was to be added in the next 24 hours, and it never was, was a bit of a nuisance. Also, the line dropped whilst put on hold on two of the calls. So overall I'd recommend as the service itself is good, despite the poor customer service.

Despite promising me that I could keep my landline number, I have lost it, and the combined forces of the Chief Execs offices at Vodafone and BT seem incapable of retrieving it. Vodafone have now agreed to compensate me. Do not believe them if they say you can keep your number. They will give you a new number and then have no interest in porting your old one.

Avoid Vodafone like the plague. They are incredibly badly organised, and just don't have the organisational ability to run a broadband service. I had so many issues getting set up - all caused by Vodafone doing things wrong with the installation and mischarging me. They terminated an existing line instead of transferring it, they over charged me - and every time you want to talk to them it's 5 mins of automated telephone bot asking you questions till you get through. Everyone you speak to says something different etc etc - they wont ever email you anything either so you can't have a record of what they said. Just awful customer experience. The router is shoddy and drops out regulary. If you ever want to move they say you have to pay the balance of your contract or sign up to a new 18 month contract - which is basically extortion. Total joke of a company.

Absolutely shocking overall service especially customer service, broadband isnt the fastest but ok when it works, about an hour a day, dont actually use it anymore.

First got it everything was fine, week in issues, constant calls palmed off all the time send engineers out, works for a day, got to the point where we are look we just want to cancel it now, oh please just wait until we run our tests everything will be fine, and they gave us that month free ok benefit of doubt we will let you try, 2 weeks still no fix, look we want to cancel oh no you cant now your grace is over you have to pay it off in full if you wish to terminate.

Basically they stalled us for 12 weeks until we were permanently locked in, to this day no fixes, turn router off 6-8 times a day, engineers turn up unannounced then never turn up when you are in. Cannot wait for 12 months of hell to finish

Awful can't wait to leave my contract. Paying for super fast broadband but getting 7.5 Mbps per second only. Can't stream Netflix unless every one and the cat goes into airport mode on their devices. Have had the router replaced twice and been without broadband for upto 2 months. The 'mansplaining' customer service is awful, like having a cervix makes you instantly unable to figure out WPS! can't wait to leave my contract

    Avoid using Vodafone! Terrible service!!!!

Had a terrible experience with Vodafone home broadband
    - service didn’t start on time so was left without any internet for 3 days which affected my work
    - internet is super slow and uses BT openreach line which they don’t mention on the internet
    - 30 days cooling off period is a big scam! Called them to cancel within two weeks of installation as internet was rubbish but took a further week for them to cancel and they had the cheek to make me pay for it! Tried to dispute the charge but they are insistent that they’ve done the right thing... I had to chase them 6 times and more to get the cancellation right and till date still haven’t got a cancellation confirmation!!!
AVOID AVOID AVOID!!! Terrible service, super slow internet and staff promises you the world but never gets sorted!
Only going away with bad experience and £22.00 less in the pocket which I’d have donated instead had I known what I was getting myself into! Never going back to Vodafone ever again!
Stick to Virgin Media, at least they have a reliable internet service!

This company is seriously a joke. Placed my order online, received confirmation and followup direct debit emails. Also received the router and then till the agreed installation day no comms. When contacted webchat on the agreed installation day to find out when to expect and engineer visit, I was told that there is a problem with my order and I need to call call centre.

Called call centre and then was passed around different 3 different departments. Every one had their own version of the issue. In the end, told that vodafone is having an issue with online orders and that I need to place my order again. I decided to end this stupidity there and cancelled the order instead.

We tried a number of other providers and they all provide a cheap router which doesn"t even get the signal upstairs (we bought a booster), every Thursday the service grinds to a halt and its a total waste of time trying over the weekend. Like the VW emissions scam Im sure the providers falsify the speed tests as we can even run a movie from Thursday onwards yet the speed tests shows its just above their service contract level. Total scam, then when you call customer services they put you through the same monkey tests every time as if your an idiot, we go through these every fecking day without being patronised by someone reading from a script in India. Its a total rip off, we wont be renewing with Vodafone thats for sure.

I called Vodafone to agree I promise to pay. I had my phone stolen and my bill came to £93 pound!! I told them o also had cash stolen from me. They were meant to take £44 out my account on 14th and rest on 23rd. However they took it out my account on 1st August and left me with no money. I h as be children to provide for and now NO MONEY.Even management wont help!! Do t get contract with Vodafone. Robbers!! So disappointed and now in trouble. They'll twist your words to their financial benefit. Massive company yet assistant manager hasn't got the authority or ability to fulfil the verbal agreement. Try hey just don't care

I switched to Vodafone from TalkTalk as they were unable to match the Vodafone offer which was ten pound a month cheaper and double the speed. The switchover was completely seamless and now getting 75MBPS download and around 20 MBPS upload. The service is 100% reliable and I 100% recommend it.

Absolutely disgusting customer service and broadband.

Have had intermittent problems due to a line fault since April 2018, could not work from home, or use broadband for domestic purposes. Despite raising the fault at the beginning of April, upgrading to superfast 2 and Vodafones promises to fix it or get fast internet speeds, the broadband speed and stability got worse down to 2 megabits/second download!.

It took Vodafone 4 months to send an OpenReach engineer to fix the line who stated that this should have been fixed sooner, and now I don't have any working internal phone lines.

Despite all of Vodafones nice customer service representatives and their promises to fix the fault, I have had to endure 4 months of terrible internet with 2 Megabit download speeds and disconnections every 2 to 40 minutes. My experience has been an absolute nightmare, and Vodafone would not let me cancel for breach of contract and wanted to charge me for the remaining months. This is in contravention of their own contract terms for poor service.

I am now referring this case to the Communications Ombudsman and will seek compensation and damages.

Suffice to say, Vodafone is the worst provider of broadband I have ever had in 15 years.
