I was BT, I got good customer service. Problem was didn't wifi signal all of house. I went to Vodafone good wifi coverage. When things go wrong spent 1 hour for customer service to answer. They had me on phone for 2 hours still didn't resolve problem. 2nd line support only 9 to 5. After 24 still not working and No contact. At least BT resolve me issues. So I am going back to BT.

This is the most frustrating broadband I've ever had. I'm supposedly on superfast broadband and generally I cant complain. However the dropping of broadband is horrendous. Every night wifi disconnects no less than 3x and then it takes a good 2 minutes to reconnect. This is appalling during the day when I'm on meetings and wifi disconnects and takes so long to connect. By the time it does I've lost so much from the meetings. I was promised super service and super broadband. Clearly I need to look at alternatives.

Changed from BT to Vodafone Superfast 2 broadband, with call bundle on the landline. Running up to switch over was set reminders from Vodafone and router arrived as promised. On the day the switch of broadband was seamless and not had any problems with coverage, reliability or speed. On BT my download was 55Mbps and after three weeks is 49Mbps, so a little slower but doesn't cause any issues for Netflix at 4K, iplayer etc. Phone was switched over as I kept the same number don't have caller ID but not investigated that as yet. The Vodafone Router is working well, I have a TPLINK VR9000 which I used with BT as a replacement to their hub, only issue was I tried to retain my existing SSID and password, SSID wasn't an issue but the router imposed rules on the password which meant I had to change every device in the house, which is when you realise how many items you !! Will keep the Vodafone router in place for the time being and the TPLink as backup just in case. Overall, very please with the service so far and saving me a significant amount of money from BT's exorbitant charges.

I recently had a terrible experience with Vodafone Fibre 500 Broadband. My service was down for 11 days, and I was never given a clear ETA for when it would be back up. I was told to reset my router numerous times, I was sent a new router but this did not fix the problem. After the fifth day and many, many calls I was eventually told that there was an outage that affected 8 other customers in my area. I was told to be patient, however, this was extremely difficult for me and my family due to living in an area with little to no cellular and 3G signal.

I made a complaint in writing to Vodafone, hoping that the issue would be prioritised. I explained that my partner and I work from home using Microsoft Teams and my family use streaming services such as Netflix, Disney, Prime, SKY, and PlayStation as well as CCTV, which we could not use.

I received a call from Proactive Support and was told that he would investigate and update me as a matter of urgency. The following day I received a call from a Wifi Xpert stating that they had logged a ticket with City Fibre, but there was no timeframe as to when they would receive any information or update regarding this issue.

Another couple of days passed and I decided enough was enough and wanted to cancel the contract. I was told that I would need to pay an early termination fee of £166 and I would have to give them 30 days' notice, which I was not prepared to pay.

The following day I received a call from a Vodafone senior engineer and was told that City Fibre had found a fault in the cabinet. At last, my service had returned.

The following day I contacted customer services for compensation, which I had been promised (but never given the amount). I was told that I would be given £9.33 per day as automatic compensation which wouldn't even cover the money we have lost during this ordeal.

I was then called by the agent from my complaint and he advised that the agent had misinformed me and that I would receive an automatic compensation of £5.83 per day. I was disgusted by this, so he advised me he could give me an extra £10 credit on my account as a goodwill gesture for the incorrect information and the issues I had experienced. I was absolutely disgraced by this and his attitude in resolving my complaint so I expressed my feelings however he was not interested.

I advise anyone who is considering using Vodafone Fibre Broadband to think twice. Their customer service is appalling, and they are unreliable. There are many other providers out there who offer a much better service.

Here are some of the things that Vodafone could have done to improve my experience:

Provide me with a more accurate ETA for when my service would be back up.
Offer me a temporary solution while my service was down, such as a second line or a free upgrade to a higher-speed plan.
waive the early termination fee and the 30-day notice period.
offer me more compensation for the inconvenience I experienced.
I hope that Vodafone will take my feedback into account and improve its customer service and support in the future.

If there was 0 star or negative then vodafone deserves it. They can't even do a proper new sales order and transfer the services from existing provider due to their system issues.
    So what it meant,
    - unncessary 40-60 minutes or more chat with your customer services for 3-4 days in last one month
    - lost my original cashback voucher, had a credit check on my credit file which is of no use
    - I have now cancelled the whole order as I dont want to coordinate between vodafone/BT and this experience has clearly shown that vodafone cannot be trusted for such a critical service
    - I have gone back to my old supplier, they were comparatively costly but very reliable and you have not only lost a customer for now but forever

Changed from Sky due to price and guaranteed min speed of 25mbs. Guaranteed speed is a joke. App said synced at 25 mbs but speed test software saying around 5 mbs. They dropped the price by 15% but it is not worth the money. Sky was very reliable, very rarely dropped out and speed was pretty consistent. I would not recommend changing to this ISP unless you are willing to put up with regular drop outs and poor speeds. You get what you pay for.

76 Fibre. Access line gives 67MBps. Real is 1 to 3 MBps after 15:00 to 1.00. 2Mbps all through weekends. Jitter, no games.
    Router fails even with Chromecast.
    5.8GHz WiFi hangs up router.

I had better speeds with traffic management from other 38 Fibre provider.

Got overcharged. Suppose to be free installation, got to pay £49.00
    Avoid

Worst experience ever! New fibre connection only lasted 3 days and then packed up. 6 days later and with no sign of anyone at Vodafone having a clue about how to fix it or giving a damn, we cancelled our contract.

BB failed overnight. Nothing done to it at our end but asked a million times to turn it off and on again, check cables etc. Each call to Technical Support was like reporting from scratch, no history of previous calls recorded. The only easy bit was cancelling, they didn't even try to keep my business. Avoid Vodafone at all costs!!!

Unable to comment on speed. Spent nearly 2 months trying to set up broadband. Got sent the box out all plugged in and set up. No internet. Told it was an exchange. Rang back after a month of no internet. Told it had been cancelled in error. Told end of the week. Then told there was a system error on my account. A joke in terms of service. Promised it would be all sorted. Absolute joke. Still no broadband 2 months in.

If i can provide 0* then i would. terrible. Since the 20th February the internet has been unrealiable and regularly drops out. The call centre is useless basically reading off a script. They sent out an Open Reach engineer who checked my line and increased my speed from 25mb to 40mb, but for some reason the router flashes on the internet since and disconnects itself frequently within the hour. AVOID AVOID AVOID. i will be complainging to the Ombudsman for this terrible and rubbish internet service.

Switched from copper with Now TV to fibre with Vodaphone expecting better speed. Lost use of landline for two weeks; broadband slower and constantly dropping out. We now need to buy a booster to make inadequate router signal travel 20 feet, because Voda refuse to provide one. Customer service obdurant. Don`t use.

It took over 10 days from the date given for the service to become live, was given different reasons everytime I contacted their help line. The speeds to the Hub are fast but then not the same from the Hub even with a ethernet connection. As its still fairly early the speeds do drop now and then, hopefully it should stabilise soon.

Always drops out. It's that bad that I use my phone's data from O2 instead of connecting to Wi-Fi. In fact, it's that bad I think I'm going to pay them over £200 to cancel my contract early. Virgin was much better with no such issues. Steer clear and save yourself the hassle.

DO NOT USE VODAFONE - USE VIRGIN INSTEAD. Takes literally hours to be put through to a Vodafone agent. We were not connected and they sent us a text to say that they we needed to call them. When we finally connected they said they needed to speak to Openreach. You would have thought that they should already have done that and it would simply be a case of updating me. After an hour on the phone and Vodafone saying that we would have to wait a month for our internet to be installed with no other alternatives the phone line went dead. I was forced to start all over again. As a write this (mainly as stress relief) I am another 56 minutes into a call and no further forward. Add this to two abortive attempts to contact them yesterday where I was on hold for over 25 minutes a pop and I am thoroughly annoyed. No email to contact them and they don't put the reference number they seek in any of their texts so you have to spend ages going through their menu each time you call... use Virgin instead - Much better service and worth the extra cost. Wish I had stuck with them! Pass this on!

The citifibre kids who came out only knew one way to install so no options were discussed for installing the equipment. It's less than ideal in a front bedroom on the middle floor in a room i seldom use. It's also impossible to get a wired connection from there so I'm reliant on a poor WiFi router. The Vodafone router is poor, at best. You'd hope that with 900Mb to play with you would get more than 70-80 at the wi-fi, in the same room, but no. Occasionally it goes above 80, into the 150's but not often. 1 floor up this page is struggling to load now. A friend once had gig fibre and he was getting 800+ on wi-fi... Not so here, which means that the fibre was probably broken on install and the router isn't good at dealing with it.
    Poor. Stay away.

Awful company. Use anyone else but these con artists. I've had 8 months of slow broadband, no broadband and no help. Their customer service is appalling and even though they admit that there's an issue, they refuse to offer any solutions. All I got was 'we can't' 'we don't' 'we wont'. They're quite content to increase my subscription and take their fee every month, yet when I tell them I want to leave they threaten to charge me a cancellation fee as I'm still under contract. And don't get me started on the £80 gift card scam they use to entice customers in. It never came. Think long and hard before committing to these cowboys.

Switched from iDNET to Vodafone to save some money but so far it has been a mistake as I’m still without internet 6 days after my supposed go live date with Vodafone. I’ve contacted Vodafone support multiple times and they keep getting me to do the same tests with the master socket and hard reset of the router, even after explaining I’m calling about an existing issue and I’ve already done the check with the previous support agent I spoke to, its like logging a new fault with them every time you contact them. They keep telling me it will be resolved in 48 hours then when that passes they say it will be 24 hours yet no progress is ever made. Absolutely useless don’t switch to them.

On sad note... you will need your own router plug in Voodoo box to enjoy trouble free experience.

Moved to Vodafone 2 weeks ago, on my Go-Live Day i couldn't connect to the Internet , carried out all the checks that i could but nothing ! Rang Vodafone Customer Services and got straight through to a very helpful lady who went through the fault finding process / changed a setting and online within about 15 minutes of calling (I had a similar issue when moving to Talk-Talk years ago).Download speed has been consistent at 73 - 74Mb/s and upload at 19-20Mb/s ,good Wifi signal,4/5 people using multiple devices is fine and all problem free to date, very satisfied !

Customer service is friendly and tries to be helpful, which is nice since I've spent many hours dealing with a delivered failing modem and a modem delivered with no configuration.
We had Plusnet up until Monday and it was always stable as a rock.
We were promised an easy switch, we have been lied to.

They hiked the price by 18.9% 30 days after install, install took a week, home (voip) phone took nearly a year to start working correctly, wifi drops out continually. Router also has a physically loose wan port so broadband drops connection or cuts to half of what I am paying for. Had a bout a dozen interactions with the "help" desk all wanting your camera on, so basically an invasion of privacy and all they do is a factory reset on the router. After an engineer had visited and confirmed the router problem I have been dealing with the helpdesk for 2 weeks, who still refuse to believe the problem and want to reset the damn router again. I have just gave up, slower than my old telephone connection and router has worse features than my 5 yr old nowtv one. Add to that they wont give any details required for you to connect so cant even buy your own router to bypass this garbage.

Reiterating what many here have already said. Paying for 76, in last week been getting 6 download 12 upload. Latency horrendous. Getting kicked out of online meetings for work. Cant use it at the top of the house. Router restart page all the time. Sign in to wifi!!! Been to customer services, twiddled, etc, no help. Never set up 1571. The law say we can leave without penalty nowadays so thats the next step. Pitiful.

I ordered vodaphone broadband several months ago. Routers have been delivered and promises about start dates made. Unfortunately the process has been beset by problems primarily due to poor communication inside vodaphone and terribly formulaic customer service. For example, they failed to realise that a different provider had an existing line that needed to be removed and they Incorrectly concluded that an engineer would not be needed. The process of coming to each of these conclusions was excruciating Partly because the customer service team and technical service teams do not communicate with each other properly. On a number of occasions the broadband was simply cancelled whilst we were in the process of trying to resolve some of these issues. At the same time the customer service assurance of callback is rarely met.
My advice: look at the reviews and customer service complaint of Vodafone first - you might be stuck in an endless cycle of customer service formulism like I am

I have been stuck in 2 year deal with Vodafone and has been rubbish pretty much from the beginning. I missed to 30 day cancellation date much to my regret.
Customer service has been pitiful and frustrating (over 4hrs on numerous phone calls to convince them that I needed a new router at one point).
Speed currently 26mb and paying for over 57mb but can't be bothered to call them and suffer more frustration.
Quite often we use mobile data on phone than suffer the slow speed.
Only good news is that contract finishes soon.
My advice is to steer clear of vodafone.

Impossible to say how satisfied I am. After 18 months with "Bungeling" PlusNet and a year of unsatisfactory phone calls to India with BT, I changed and am getting a reliable 30megs. Fantastic

Most reviews follow bad expeiences but ours has been fine. BT piromised and charged for fast fibre to the nearest cabinet. We were horrified to find the real speed. Vodafone have improved the speed to the best we can ever get out in the sticks. Smooth change over and a bit faster. It is half the price!
Overall pleased with the change and improved value for money. New design router is smart and capable.

Promised a minimum of 35Mbps, never acheived more than 21Mbps.
Complained several times, but wanted me to plug in laptop via ethernet cable and start computer in safe mode, 5 times a day. Sadly, I go to work so this is near on impossible.
Delay tactics to prevent the promised discount if the speed quoted is not acheived.
Dispite other reviews, I found it stable, but slow. 18 month contract that I saw out.
Half hour on phone waiting to speak to somebody in terminations department did not impress me either.
Changed to plusnet, same cost per month and speed is already downloading and above 50Mbps
My advice is avoid Vodafone Broadband

Please don’t! Been complaining since July. Dropped connection speeds at 12mbps despite being on top package. They can’t fix it but keep closing my tickets as resolved. It’s not resolved!!!! Will be buying another and let this lapse as cheaper than cancelling.

AVOID. Since we swapped to Vodafone weve had no email for 2 months and awful drop outs on both wifi and internet. 2 Months of phoning Customer service being promised call backs that never happened and then being told theres nothing wrong with the speed so we have to suc it up. Well my mobile is with Vodafone and as soon as that contracts up ...guess?

I helped my mother switch from EE to Voda home and broadband last year. She is elderly and depends primarily on the phone for emergency/doctor services the line also supports a connection to a emergency response/panic system.
She also relies on the internet for comms. with family and friends.

First few months were fine, broadband speed we measured to be on point and it was fairly reliable with the odd dropout. A month ago we got a dead line and broadband which I reported as a level 1 user via online chat which the agent acknowledged and informed me would take up to 72 hours to resolve. Admittedly probably a BT/Openreach problem with Vodafone being accountable to fix.
Agent was fine we had lost our support call credentials but had account number etc to he was able to process the fault resolution. Problem seemed to be resolved after a total of approx. 3 days downtime

Last couple of times the problem is back intermittently. I used the online chat facility again and was greeted by 'Shilpa' who dug her heels in and refused to process the fault because I couldn't provide account number/ref from previous fault call that she had on screen in front of her.. and any other personal details? I explained the seriousness of this and she was oblivious. Her 1st solution was to get my mother on the chat(hello to speak direct--despite the fact the problem I'm calling about is no broadband and phone access!!!

Second option was to access My Vodafone account and change credentials...I asked her to give me a link to the complaints process, made it clear she was providing a poor customer service and I needed to escalate..Her response ' We have an internal complaints process' and would provide a link or anything. Asked for the name of her supervisor that she said she had discussed the situation with...silence.

So...after 30 minutes of wasted time I tried to access my Voda account which guess what...didn't work. Back on the chat again and the agent sends me a credentials reset by email...which didn't work. Was told he would have to refer to the superUser to get it fixed which would take up to 24hours...24 hours is nearly up and nothing.

I've dad numerous problems with Vodafone customer service mainly from the offshore call centers who seem pretty inept. No more Vodafone for me I'm cancelling down my 3 phone lines, My mothers Internet wont renew. Never again.

Also don't be fooled by the 'no broadband access no charge' marketing ploy...remember that happy smiling chap on the advert. There is no automatic compensation on the back of fault. You are told to contact customer service and waste more time justifying yourself. Utter rubbish don't bother.

Apparently I’m getting great broadband speed, but I don’t think the Wi-Fi router can handle that many devices as whenever I’m streaming TV it constantly buffers. I’ve tried all of the recommendations Vodafone have for improving the situation and none work. Even ended up connecting the TV by the ethernet cable and still have problems. I Don’t think the router can handle that many devices compared with the one from BT which was fine. Wish I hadn’t switched to Vodafone.
