    Super slow connection. Very bad customer service

    I used to use sky previously and I was very happy with that. One day I went to Carphone Warehouse for an issue with my mobile. The guy there asked my broadband and i said sky then he said it's too expensive, I should switch to talktak. Unfortunately I believed him cancelled sky and bought talktalk on that day

    The box arrived in two weeks. After it arrived I realised that it was so slow and called them to cancel my contact.

    The guy on the phone said it's impossible to cancel because I had only 2 weeks to cancel. But they delivered the broadband in 2 weeks. So, if you are not happy with their company, they don't give you any chance to escape

    Also the guy on the phone was very bad in English and almost impossible to understand his weird Indian accent

    At the moment there is no Internet connection again and I have to write this review by my mobile connection.

    I strongly don't recommend this company. Very poor service, not reliable either honest

    I have been with talk talk since 26/10/15 . I already have had 2 bills from then each in excess to the bill I am suppose to have . I set up direct debt they still charge me extra £4.50 as well saying my bank did not let them set it up , which is I think is another way of extortion of more money from customers . For a monthly payment of £22 , in last 40 days I have paid them £44 + £37 . When I call them they say manager will call for refund or I am kept waiting till it is 8pm and they automatically disconnect , no such luck of refund ! I so very regret to sign up with them as the speed which they say is 38 certainly is much slower . I will now do a formal complaint if this is not resolved in next 1 week .

    I am very unfortunate to order Talk talk on the 7th of April. I got the connection on 23rd of April, and the engineer came with the very primitive type of TV box which is very slow to work on 29th April. During this 2 weeks I have been going through my hard period of Internet service and TV. Finally I made the decision to opt-out the contract. The company is very intelligent on that, my cooling off period 20 days since my contract date. According to them my final cooling off period comes 26th of April, this date come before my TV connection on. Very obvious how they cheat their customers. I have to pay early termination fee,within my 2 weeks of broadband connection. I have not provided any access to call them, the only acces will be the "chat". If you are lucky they will answer your chat before 35 minutes. The poor "CORONA VIRUS" get the blame, for their delay in answering. The broadband signal drops frequently.
    As I am am NHS front line worker, have been going through very stressful period. This stupid company gives us additional stress to me and my family. I have been chatting for last 3 days, more than 10 of their customer service officers. Each time starts with ID check and explain my problem. Very painful period. My kind advice " DON'T BUY TALK TALK"

    Awful. Raised our bill without telling us after receiving awful service. Slow speeds, the internet would keep dropping..spending hours on the phome to talk talk restarting the router etc etc. Had seceral engineers out and still awful. Customer service team are rude.
    Would give them 0 stars. Avoid.

    Absolutely diabolical customer service. Slow and unreliable broadband. Router must be turned off and on frequently to get wifi!!
    Several times complained, until after spending 3 hours on the phone talking to the technical team only to be told that it could be a router problem. My mistake not to have left talk-talk years ago. Definitely not value for money!!!!

    They send me a bill and they charge my account already after 11 days of using their line...when there is an agreement that says you have the right to cancel with no tax your contract.

    Zero is the service and the score. Obviously run from overseas using contracted BT engineers to install. A week after instalation I received emails and incoherent voicemails telling me there was a problem with my line - there wasn't. Then they cut the line and sent me an email saying they'd received a cancellation request from another provider - they hadn't. When I rang I spent 20 mons being transferred around overseas call centres to be told eventually that it would take 14 days to reconnect me - my advice - avoid!

    Actually I do not have a problem with the speed of my Broadband and I wanted to stay with TT but I have to cancel my contract due to their price increase. Last December I signed a new 24 months fixed price contract. The T&C of my contract clearly stated that it gives me a "peace of mind that my package price will stay the same for the length of my contract"! 5 months through my contract and TT decided to increase the monthly fee. It is a direct breach of the contract terms and I have no trust in the company that does not respect the letter of the contract.

    What a joke they are. You get 19mbits (as promised) for the first 6 months, then they gradually reduce your speed by 1mbit every month until you're down to 10mbits (hoping you don't notice). When you call them, they claim that it's the router, or the dsl filter or solar flares causing the speed drop, total lies. So after 3 wasted hours talking to them over 3 weeks, they finally decide that sending out a new router would "solve the issue". So the new router arrived and bingo the speed is back to 16mbits...but oh...here's the thing - it's also back up to 16mbits with the old router too. so they blamed the router and then quietly changed a server setting to give me back the 6 mbits they had taken away. Nefarious methods indeed!

    They have like the worse customer service ever i could imagine, total nightmare , i wud advise to go for sky as they clear what they provide and no chance of some wierd customer service

    If I could score them zero for all I would.

    The broadband speed is terrible, it completely stops working at lease 3 times per day.

    I have to call them at least once per week to "troubleshoot".

    I have gone through 3 routers in one year.

    A "glitch" in their system caused them to charge my bill with calls I did not make.

    Their customer service is an absolute joke, they have lied about sending engineers they have lied about contacting me and leaving me messages and say there is nothing they can do.

    I cannot wait for this contact to end.

    Absolutely rubbish service. Going round in circles constantly. I live in a small bungalow and have constantly been online to the chat trying to resolve the slow/No internet. They tried to make me pay £85 for an extender. I've had engineers out and their resolutions made zero difference. I have now requested a call back to close the account. I even upgraded my mobile phone to try and resolve the issue but this has made no difference at all. There are 2 mobile phones only in the house that use the wifi. No gaming consoles or smart tv. Rubbish rubbish rubbish. Would not recommend

    Only joined them 3 weeks ago and all I can say is regret. The max speed of their fibre optic is 27 MB. There are times I have had no broadband, for hours in fact. Very disrupting. I will definitely not continue with them.

    Rubbish service, I was told in global mins pakistan was included, when I got a big bill, made enquiries, was told pakistan not included. Don't trust them they will do anything to get customers . operators are thick.

    Stay AWAY! Absolute waste of time. I've hd 5 engineer appointments scheduled and on all 5 occasions no engineer turned up (10th, 14th, 18th Nov and then 3rd, 5th Dec).
    On the 3rd occasion an engineer logged that he couldn't find premise therefore left (no phone calls to either myself or his office to get help finding premise) and on 4th occasion apparently tried contacting me (I had phone on me all day on loud ringer) but was incorrect number so again left. Fact is I re-confirmed my number with TalkTalk on 5 occasions and left my wife's number and reception number so he had no excuse other than he couldn't be bothered or he had to run for his lunchtime sarnie! Absolute disgrace, waste of time, no respect and sheer laziness.

    Worst ever company​. Do not join these People. They will only give you problems. Internet is either too slow than it should be or disconnects all together. You have to wait 10 years for customer service and when they do finally get to you they have no clue what to do. And they​ are snakes. Im leaving and all of a sudden the last month with them was terrible im glad I'm switching.

    Received a FINAL DEMAND PAYMENT of £39.09 on a contract of £5/month, 3/4 months after cancelling that contract. After calling them, they said it was because I cancelled my direct debit after my last bill and didn't tell them. I cancelled the direct debit after talking to them and paying my final bill. They said my account was still active and they been charging me £12.5/per month for late payments.
    IGNORE AT ALL COSTS - You try save a few quid but lose far more in the long term. Slow internet, too. Since Ive move broadband and mobile - I have stopped being charged unexpectedly each month.

    Worst provider ever! Don’t be fooled by marketing strategies and tricks of the trade. Slowest broadband in history. The new TalkTalk Wi-Fi Hub is just a scam, theres no difference at all except the design. Only reason I can’t leave is because our contract hasn’t ended yet. Pay just £5-10 more a month for a far more reliable provider! Save yourself

    Shocking service. After I complained about the service we moved back to bt in September. I then received a final demand later saying I owe money so I paid it 2 days later they say we owe more money when I just had my final demand. Surely when you leave in September you shouldn't be billed In November and January for a service I never had. Also please use English call centres not African because we don't understand what you say

    Horrible service provider and never select this one. Lot's of hidden charge. My service got a problem a year ago and I asked customer service, they said an engineering was needed and I was charged £65 for they fix their own issues. Then added an 'Unlimited UK Calls Boost', I do not have a telephone even, they hiddenly charged me £16 per month (since I set up a DD and I did not check until a few weeks ago'.

    Have been with talktalk for the past 6 years ,and upgraded to fibre medium 2 years ago .must say I have been very happy with there service.speeds are what they promised and find there broadband very reliable.Looking at the other reviews on here I'm shocked that so many other customers have had such bad experiences .looks like broadband is a bit of a lottery great when it goes well but a nightmare when it doesn't .

    I ordered Talk Talk 27th Aug after checking they could provide services in my area after I moved. They gave me a go live date of 11th Sept so I booked the time off work as I can't work from home without the broadband.
    Its now 14th Sept I have contacted Talk Talk 5/6 times since the 11th. I got cut off from the chat online then I just keep getting contradicting stories from everyone on the phone. One told me there was an issue, another told me I was still going to receive the equipment Fri (11th even though the phone call was after 5pm) and it never showed and I never went live. 2 others I have contacted 1 told me the issue was being resolved by openreach on Friday to go live today (Mon) STILL NOTHING. So called again and have been told that its going to take 2 days for Openreach to sort there bit then ill get my equipment Wednesday.

    Not once did I get any communication that there was an issue by phone or email, i've had to keep calling them after none of there stories actually come to light.

    I've been promised call backs and don't get anyone call me, i've been told ill get a text but don't get one. Its absolutely shocking service. Passed from pillar to post, being misinformed from EVERY customer service representative/order representative I have spoken to.

    All you get is "sorry we'll update the system" every single time.

    Its so frustrating!!!! Its like one person don't know what the other is doing.

    There's no customer service, there's no correspondence from them.

    If I don't get sorted by Wednesday I will cancel! I would rather pay more expensive and get any sort of level of service then none whatsoever like I have been getting!

    Worst broadband service I’ve ever used. It’s so slow all the time and cuts out often for no reason at all. Definitely wouldn’t recommend. Not worth the stress at all. It’s slow and you literally can’t do anything on it unless you’re usinf just one device at a time (and even then it’s still awful)

    I wouldn't recommend talk talk to anyone! It works at a snails pace! You can barely do anything without constant loss of internet, constantly having to reset the router. I completely regret buying this internet as it doesn't meet my requirements or anyone for that matter! Do not buy talk talk. Its shit!

    Absolutely shocking service from talk talk.. the speed is ridiculous for what we pay..and the worst thing is you can never get threw to anyone who speaks your language,it's a bloody joke!! All they care about is ripping you off and taking your money,seriously thinking about leaving..they are no help what so ever when you ring them to explain the problem,you have to explain 10 times before they listen to you,and when they don't have a clue what your on about they pass you round pillow to post! By far the worst company going..would not recommend this what so ever! Total and utter rip offs! I'm fuming after spending nearly 2 hours on the phone to them and could not understand a word the lady was saying,nor me. Really really want to leave,they will take your money all day long and not do a thing to help you,princes are two expensive,there's no need for how they treat you! I'm fuming! DO NOT USE talk talk

    Whatever you do don't sign up for Talk Talk. I cannot stress this enough. I tried to change ownership of my account as i was moving flats and they made me resubmit the form via post a total of 4 times. The first time was because my info was scanned, the sceond attempt was rejected because I didnt tick the correct box. The third because i didnt refernce a number i didn't even use. a complete waste of my time! DO NOT USE TALK TALK. Their customer service ppl where a nightmare without offering any solutions. Absolutely horrifying.

    Absolutely shocking! I wish I could rate 0 stars because they're abysmal. Me and my partner signed up for talk talk with our first house. We recieved our router and an email saying we were live so my partner set up the wifi - no connection. We attempted to contact them and the only response we were given was that there were technical issues in our area- no "we will sort this out for you' or 'this will be resolved by...' so we decided to cancel our package WITHIN OUR COOLING OFF PERIOD. Yet they are demanding money for a bill from us when we recieved no wifi, our tv packages are not set up, we cancelled in our cooling off period and the customer service was tragic! Absolutely disgusting! Would not recommend. Money will be better spent elsewhere.

    Ive only been with talk talk for about 2 months and they have already messed me about. I have been over charged by double the amoun and when i rang up they were making excuses not to refund me my money. They also tried charging me for an engineer who never turnt up to my house. Im so angry and will be canceling my account with them the next time they mess me about. Really wouldnt recomend to anyone.

    My internet was meant to come on 20th April & an engineer didn’t show up to set it up. It’s now the 22nd May and although an engineer has been(2 days ago) there is now a fault and I have to wait another 2 days for my internet to work. I’ve called numerous times about the problem to be told to wait each time and when I asked to speak to a manager they refused to put me through to one. Terrible service!

    Well we went with talk talk for the good customer service... what a joke that is!! The people you speak to I don't even think made it through school let alone know how to be polite and help people out!! I'm still waiting for a phone call back about my "fiber" not working!!!! The router is complete trash and talk talk wouldn't send a working one out so had to get one!! As soon as Christmas is over with I will be changing provider as this provider is a joke! I will not be paying for something that doesn't even work! I actually give everything no stars but it wouldn't let me do that!!

    Never sign up with Talk Talk. They lie to you if you ever get to speak to an agent. I could not get my router to work .. their fault. So I cancelled after spending 5 hours on the phone and chat. They promised full refund now after paying for a month I cannot get my money back. They have terrible customer services .. highly trained in fobbing you off and lying. Talk Talk are just crminals who steal your money. Be warned DO NOT SIGN UP WITH TALK TALK

    Had talktalk a week and so far can't fault anything. Just a bit tricky to set up but I'm not an electrical/cable/wire person. No issues with broadband what so ever and TV package is really good. Was a bit unsure due to reading bad reviews but at half the price of other providers, can't fault it. Glad I changed. Plenty of good films on the cinema channel.
