    Terrible service and internet quality. After being a customer for 3 years I called to cancel my account with Talk Talk but was told by two separate reps that my contract still had over a year left on it.
    They were doing best to sell me other products and after talking frankly with them, they checked my t&c’s and were able to cancel within 5 days with no fees.
    Do not get internet with Talk Talk.

    I have had nothing but trouble with talk talk. I would strongly suggests you avoid them at all costs. The sent an engineer when I moved property who broke the phone line and the line of the business below. After sending numerous engineers to fix the problem and many saying the first guy clearly had no idea what he was doing, it took months to repair the fault. When I complained to talk talk they said I should contact the engineer personally and they would take no responsibility. I said they employed the engineer not me. Then they hung up on me. I have had so many problems with talk talk and have spent many hours on hold often ending in no resolution or simply being hung up on after hours on hold. I am currently on hold again, 1 hour and 13 minutes so far. My question is when is my final payment? I cancelled my contract 2 months ago but still they cannot or will not answer this simple question. They clearly have a call centre with badly trained staff who just repeat the mantra " I am so sorry to hear that" but then just put you back on hold until you either have to get back to your life and give in or they simply cut you off. Talk Talk are appalling find another provider.

    Worst service I have ever received. Managed to cancel after one month of no Internet. I'm now trying to get refund for terrible lack of service. Don't use TalkTalk they are the worst ever!!!! Beware beware beware !!

    A scandalous company, my order was canceled without an apparent reason with delays of 4 or more weeks on booking the engineer to install the broadband.

    The worst company ever please don't get yourself caught up in a contract with these people they are absolutely incompetent each and everyone of them.
    The service is so bad your left with no connection for days on end then get refferex to a third party open reach.
    If just pay a little extra for that better service then chasing these annoying good for nothing people.
    They jist like passing you around from agent to agent untill you eventually drain you out

    Rubbish!!! Do not use Talk Talk, constantly loosing signal, I have had engineers out and within 2 days loose connection again. The speed is slow, the company lie, every time I call the people who answer can't speak English and end up taking an hour to complete a call. Disgraceful, diabolical, ridiculous, useless and totally unsatisfactory. I have now cancelled and will be using BT

    I have been with TalkTalk for a considerable amount time. Upgraded to fibre package, but resulted in no internet for 3 weeks. Upon contacting TalkTalk, I was transferred from various departments in TalkTalk who logs the explanation / information on their system but yet again had to re-explain everything again.

    1. The BT engineer was not sure whether a charge would be applied
    2. I questioned and queried this through the complaint letter and was informed by TalkTalk that no engineer charge would be made.
    3. 2 months later, my TalkTalk bill now shows £65 charge
    4. Ignorance staff member and bad customer service.

    Overall recommendation, avoid using this company at all cost. False advertisement of products and services, in addition, hidden fees.

    I am appalled by Talk Talk’s wifi. I pay the family pack which is meant to handle multiple devices yet the wifi signal complete stops when someone walks in front of the router. The worst network which i have given my money to. Would never recommend, go to Virgin instead.

    I won't recommend to others as I have had a bad customer experience and bad broadband connection without be rectified. I will advisement recommended friends to discontinue and change to a better one.

    If I could score a minus I would. Do yourself a favour do NOT get talk talk. The speeds are like from 1997 not 2017. Rubbish customer service I can't wait to get rid of this rubbish!!!!! Simple advice go elsewhere.

    Awful service. Installation day I stayed in for 6 hours waiting for an engineer that according two different communications would be in my home either 1 hour or three hours. Turned out be no no hours. No one came and I didn't get connected for another 4 days. Broadband speed has been half the contract speed since day one and despite at least 20 frustrating and repetitive calls to customer service nothing has been sorted. My complaint has apparently been escalated 4 times to people who never call within the 24 to 72 hours that the call is promised within. They don't call at all. If you are going to complain then use the text service - most of the telephone operatives speak poor English and you are guessing what they are saying most of the time. I have a good ear for English spoken as a second language, having spent considerable time encountering this during my employment but this was too much for me. So, two months on and no resolution but they are still taking 40 GBP out of my bank each month. The truth is that they don't want to have to pay BT Openreach to send out an Engineer and keep using delaying tactics in the hope you will just give in and accept whats given to you. My advice would be to avoid Talk Talk like the plague and go with a provider who install their own lines and have a dedicated, in house engineer service.

    I was with BT Infinity 2 having great speed. Suddenly BT sent me an email that they will increase the price and if I don't agree then I can leave them. I still had a year with them. They sounded arrogant to me, so I decided to move to TalkTalk's faster fibre 76 MB. That was a big mistake! My fiber broadband no fluctuate between a few megabytes to 45 mg at its best. I used to get 60 to 80 mb with BT. Damn BT arrogance. Couldn't stand it!
    The worst news with the rubbish talktalk broadband is not the speed. Their worst is their customer service! When you talk to them you feel like talking to some nut and you don't know where they are and what language they speak! But you know they lie and keep lying! I wouldn't have imagined any stupid failed company would leave their business in the hands of a few nuts!

    If there was an option to leave 0 stars then that’s what I’d have rated. When getting internet installed the engineer was late and rude. My internet worked for 2 days with no problems then kept cutting out. When I phoned I was put through to several different customer service agents who were obviously trained to be as unhelpful as possible, I imagine, in an attempt to get you to just give up. They changed a setting which stopped my internet from working all together. They told me someone was coming out to check my phone line etc who never turned up. I phoned up to cancel, I again, spoke to several different people and was on the phone for over an hour. When my internet was already cancelled they sent an engineer out to my house a few days later. Would not recommend talktalk unless you fancy having a break down.

    TalkTalk is an absolute poor excuse for good internet. Have called talktalk customer services around 10 times in the past 3 weeks and they have done absolutely nothing about the problem. Our internet broadband constantly goes off for days and then comes back on again and continues in that cycle. Was told an engineer would come between the timeframe of 8.00 am - 1.00 pm, it is now 12:30 and still no engineer, waited in all morning to have a problem fixed when talktalk could have kindly said we will be there at 1 instead of having to wait 5 hours. I am absolutely disgusted with the way I’ve been treated. Would not recommend if they were the last internet company on earth, would rather have no internet at all.

    its my biggest mistake to sign the contract with this parasite firm. Charged me for £65 and additional 38 pounds for missing appointment even though the engineer visited the property. Although filed the complaints but not heard a word back, instead they took the money off.

    Definnately this is one of the scam firm that I ever come across.

    Pay for super fast fibre. It runs slow, cuts out, unable to connect at peak times, freezes.
    No help from customer services. One week called them 25 times still not working but was charged the full price for service not working. They are only interested in signing you up on contract. Do not have the resources to maintain the services they advertise. Plus keep getting hoax calls from con men saying they are talk talk. Some how they have my personal info that was only given to talktalk. Talktalk do nothing to help stop these calls or protect my information. They are only interested in your contract. You are on your own after signing. If i didn't know better I would say it is a company that is trying to sign up as many people as possible to get ready to sell.

    Made a mistake thinking it is cheaper, but it is not the case. The broadband does not exists, it is extremely slow, cannot download although we have so called FIBRE, super fast broadband. All they said is go to Troubleshoot page, NO it has nothing to do with me or the device, it is purely the connection and it is not coping. They are literally robing people with no service and there is no way out. I can't wait for my contract to end, already booked Virgin, it will be a pleasure to tell them that I am leaving.

    Omg ! What a nightmare !!! I paid in full price for an internet that never was what promised to be ! I put in complaint after complaint and nothing was done for months. When I decided to move to another network that's when someone finally came. When I called to try and get the money back for all the months internet didn't work they told me they will give me one month free that's it

    I am not a talktalk customer but I did order their Broadband only and I now find that it is virtually impossible to cancel despite having a colling off period. Live chat consists of bots which send you in circles. Phone calls result inn being told wrong number and given another to phone. Which becomes circuititous. Some phone number uou cannot get passed options becvcause I do not have an account. I thought I had managed to cancel on 11th August but on 12th they sent me a welcom email. Since that date I have spent an inordinate amount if time trying yo cancel order to no avail. Appallong. Even if they were to give me the servive free I would refuse. Beyond awful

    I've been dealing with this company for over 2 months, the broadband speed isnt what i'm paying for its lower, after two external openreach engineers and one that came into the house my line from the box right up to the router is perfect, so from the router out why isnt it the same, i'll answer that, because talktalk are reducing it, i get sometimes 5 times a day of no internet, its suppose to be 60-80 i'm lucky to get 50, i've emailed the ceo more times than i'd email my best friend, all i get back is excuses and apologies, told them i dont want apologies i want the speed i'm paying for, i do my own speed tests with ookla, i'll do a talktalk test the speed will obviously say 63 for example, then ookla and it says 43, who do i believe, ookla obviously, the mornings when the engineers are due the speeds rise until the engineer has gone back to his van and spent 5 minutes putting in his report then my speed drops again, its so obvious its embarrassing, talktalk just chat ****, i've had enough, i'm sick of them, i was told today not to shout down the phone, well sorry but keep sending fools to speak to me and i'll just get crosser, once again today i was told we'll do a couple of tests and call you back, that was 3 hours ago and still no call, i want someone sensible to speak to not a talktalk robot, i've got a notebook full of data, ombudsman next i think because this is just total rubbish, i hope talktalk read this but i know they dont care.

    The worst company I have ever used. Been paying over £40 a month for fiber and it wasn't even close to fiber's speed. Ended up with 30 day cancellation notice and got disconnected after 2 day. KEEP AWAY FROM THEM AS ONCE THEY GOT YOU ON CONTRACT THEY WON'T CARE AS LONG AS YOU PAY.

    So we're do I start got talk talk with a friend in her name. Had it about 7 month and had very bad service. . Have been calling so many times without getting any were. They have told me they know I have a flat . Also told me that they did not do the test right . They have been taken my money every month for it but admitted on so many calls that they have not been giving us the service. Have told us they will waver the cost to leave them . And asked them for this in an email and was told I would get it within 24 hours . Did I get it no I didn't. Called them to see why not and got told some one would call me the next day but got no call. I asked for 50% of what has been paid over the 7 months but they would only give 50 pounds back. So stay clear as they rip you off by taking your money .lie to you all the time . Even a manager from the CEO office got funny when I challenged him as he sent out some on to look at it who then broke the internet box. Then when I asked for some one to visit again to sort it he got funny telling me I should not have it for free. So to put it blunt. They take your money don't give you the broadband you pay for take all your money and then don't fix the problem . They even tried to get my friend to open the bet box in the house . So if she damaged it they could get more money from her. So stay clear they just rob you of your money and don't give you good customer service. There a robing company

    Absolutely the worst experience iv ever had, I sincerely never want to sign up with these guys again, rather pay twice as much then to depend on talk talk... anyone reading this be advised that your not going to get whats promised and then the customer service and the broadband are the eorst iv experienced.     Applied to transfer addresses and upgrade to fibre. Simple right? Wrong. Two days later get a message saying sorry you cancelled ( I hadnt). Had to sign up to a whole new account. A pain but gotta be done only took an hour on the phone.... Guess what happened two days later? Your new Connection has been cancelled. The laugh was that they expected me to go through it all again and set up a third account!!! Hopeless, hopeless company. Hello Virgin.

    Doesn't even deserve one star.. The internet is very very slow even though it says it is running normally. Customer service expect me to use a different source of internet to contact them back when the first place i got broadband was to connect to the internet because i didn't have any. they then tell me they can call me and i explained that i didn't have a home phone so they kept repeating the question and i gave them an alternative number and they said they can't contact me and that i have to contact them. So which is it? They are going to phone me or i have to phone them? Talk Talk is the worst broadband i have ever been with. They are also giving false information. i know for a fact that my line speed isn't what they are claiming it to be because it would be a lot quicker if it was. I cannot watch anything online, web pages will take a long time to load up or won't load at all.

    DONT GO WITH TALK TALK NO MATTER HOW GOOD THE OFFER SOUNDS!

    They make offers so that they can get people into buying their broadband deals yet it is no worth a single penny!

    Moved to talk talk recently from virgin based solely on price.
    Speed is terribly slow and constantly dropping out altogether.
    Took a day off work loosing a days pay to be in for the engineer (with the threat from talk talk of £55 charge if not home) only to be told at 13.15pm after calling to ask where the engineer was to be told he'd been cancelled by talk talk.
    So one month into the contract I would advise anyone else to stay well clear. Terrible speed, signal dropping out altogether, useless customer service (foreign) , and liars costing me a days pay.

    Never had particularly fast speeds with Talk Talk but several weeks ago our broadband started randomly going off every few minutes. After doing all the tests online and checking our equipment still couldn't fix the problem so we called Talk Talk.
    And thus began several painful weeks of calling pretty much every night to try and resolve the problem, Every single time we were made to do the same tests only to be told that our broadband was working fine.

    Erm, Ok then, so why is my internet off then.
    Eventually Talk Talk decided to do us the honour of sending an engineer out who agreed that, Yes, Our Broadband was indeed buggered and that it would promptly sorted out, It would require another home visit then all would be well.
    Only Talk Talk had no intention of actually sorting this out, After waiting 3 days to hear from them to arrange another engineer visit, I got fed up of waiting and contacted them myself. They tried to make me do all the tests again, No I said, We have established the problem lies with you, Now when do you intend to come and fix our broadband.
    Its been fixed, I was told, Your broadband is working now. Even though it wasn't.
    I promptly hang up the phone and immediately switched providers, Unwilling to have any further dealings with these incompetent morons. Talk Talk are more than happy to steal your money month after month but not so happy to provide you with a decent service. It's a shame they weren't more willing to try and resolve this problem, They obviously regard their customers with contempt, Lord knows why though as we are the people who keep them in business, Until we get fed up of being fobbed off that is.
    I tell everybody I know who is considering switching their isp in no uncertain terms to avoid Talk Talk if you actually want broadband that works, I realise things go wrong sometimes but Talk Talk absolutely do not want to resolve your problems should you encounter any.
    All that's left now is for me to check that they didn't have the cheek to charge me for the engineer appointment ( The engineer, In their defence, Was fantastic, Polite and discovered the problem then reported back to them) They just chose not to help us any further after that and to continue denying that a problem exists.
    I don't pay £22 a month to them out of the goodness of my heart, I pay for a service I want to receive. Sadly Talk Talk don't understand that.
    I shall also be demanding refunds for the hours of wasted phone calls to them in a vain attempt to get back online properly and also checking my bank statements as I have a suspicion they will continue to try and take money from me even when we are no longer with them.

    Diabolical service, slow broadband when it works, I’m leaving at the earliest opportunity. Faster fibre my arse download speeds of only 8 mbs instead of a promised 32-39 mbs

    I would have rated zero star if I could.
    Instead of training your customer service, to talk like roborts with constant meaningless "thank you, yes madam, no madam" I suggest TALK TALK improves their service, so it at least makes a logical sense.
    Called in today, hi my internet is not working AGAIN. The customer advisor is trying to run security questions past me, I told him that I have changed my mobile number (this was not the first time I did this btw) and i also explained that the mobile number they have on the system is no longer in use. 10 mins later, I was told that a new router is going to be delivered to my address within 24/48h. I said, "ok can you send me a text when delivery is going to come, you dont expect me to stay at home 2 days and make sure you update my mobile number". We cannot update your number over the phone, you need to log in to the portal. Erm... my internet is NOT WORKING. This why I am calling you. The customer advisor "Sorry, we cannot update your details over the telephone. But we will call you in a few days, to ensure that everything is working fine".Eventually I ended up cancelling my broadband, and I will never go back that's for sure and would not recommend to anyone else.

    Talk Talk are by far the worst company I have ever dealt with. they have left an OAP with no internet for weeks and now no phone line at all. customer service is a joke at best, their staff cannot comprehend the most simple facts. I would strongly advise everyone to avoid using them for any service at all.

    The worse service we have ever subscribed to. We have had no Internet connection for over a week. We have repeatedly called, waited for hours on end, got cut off, complained on twitter, been promised a manger will call (never does), was promised a modem would be sent out. So no Internet connection and way to get a solution. Do not use their service, when you need help they won't give it you.
