    AVOID AVOID AVOID !!! As in all other reviews, poor customer service and ridiculous amount of precious time and hours wasted on calls to them to report continuous or lost connection of broadband. Their customer service staff are very robotic in their apologies and seem to stick to a given script asking you to perform bizarre tasks to fix any issues yourself. Please do not consider signing up with this company. I've just cancelled my contract which by the way took me 2hrs and 3 minutes on the phone to them to do, being passed from one person to another just aswell I couldn't reach my hand down the phone line. signed up with Virgin

    Been with TT for several years. Thought it was time to look into the service as paying for 38 fibre and lately getting cutting out of internet and slow speeds. Tested on the BB site and its 22. So I m disappointed now,I realise all the distance to box stuff but isn t it about time they improved the service especially when my friend has excellent speeds from virgin. Why do we have to put up with this, speed governed by distance to green box, and old phone lines? Never had much to do with the service, as I'm told you speak to foreign people who read from scripts. That's not on either. I was happy enough a few years ago but think its time for a change.

    Wosrt mistake I have made for a long time I was told at the start that the set up time would be two days before I cancelled Virgin however what I wasnt told was that Virgin needed to switch off first that was the start 1 thing after another customer service non existant broadband speed useless Sundays and evenings so slow rarely able to use with any sort of speed. I will return to Virgin at the first opportunity.

    I upgraded to fibre in January. Since then have had 13 days with no service in February,5 days in March and so far 6 days in April. As so many other commentators say.....the service is terrible,the call centre operatives in India work from a script and can not cope with any deviation. When anything other than just switch it off and try again occurs it becomes BT Open reaches fault. They lie constantly that an Open reach engineer will be with you on X date. You need to constantly chase them and re make visit arrangements. I have wasted several days waiting for engineers who never turn up....probably because the call centre never bothered to organise it. When you ask to speak to someone to complain,it can only be at the Indian call centre not in Southampton HQ. When you ask to speak to a Complaints Manager it is always.....they will ring you in 48 to 72 hours. When they do,you start the whole cycle again.
    Utterly hopeless service,to be avoided at all costs.
    Advice to all.....remember a contract is a 2 way thing....a service for money. If they are not providing the promised service,and they rarely do,then it is no problem cancelling the contract. It is they who are in breach !
    Letters to CEO or Complaints Are absolutely pointless as they are worse than the call centre.
    AVOID at all costs,they are terrible.

    Talktalk are the worst company I have ever dealt with. I got broadband from them 6 months ago and it was way under the 70-80mb quoted and I was paying for. So if you have talktalk check your speed!!!!

    I've been promised call backs and never got them.
    I have spent hours and hours on the phone and the aweful online chat service trying to get things resolved and it took six months to get things fixed.

    They have finally fixed the issue and only offered me a £14 refund for all the months of poor service which I feel is more of a joke and a gesture of good will. I've spent more than that on calls to them alone.

    Keep Away they suck go with another provider!!!!!

    Broadband speed is terrible, never had any issue like this with sky, watching video clips, youtube, facebook, etc, is so slow and keeps buffering every few seconds throughout, very annoying!

    Decided to give Talktalk a go mainly on cost. Changing over was painless and seemless. No complaints on reliabilty or speed.
    10/10 so far. Im happy I changed.

    DO NOT JOIN this company!!! Waste of time and money. They don’t provide a service , their service is a joke, I am treated as a joke . I have one month with them and my internet went down 6 times!!!!!! For opening tv is taking about 5 min not saying about Netflix you have time to make a shower. Every time spend hours chatting with their service team to investigate why my internet not working . Same questione same answers not fixed problem. One of their team members blamed my phone

    Never had a problem with Talk Talk until now. Their chat team don't seem to understand a simple question. All I wanted was the email address for customer services... Unable to help. Talk Talk, following the security debacle offered Noddle for credit rating reports. Noddle wants credit card details, not prepared to give these out to a company I have never heard of, especially via Talk Talk who are laissez-faire with customer personal data.

    This was my response to TalkTalk's emailed customer service survey so the language is aimed at them:

    The worst customer service experience I have received of any large supplier, poor presentation of contact options on your website (I know you are trying to avoid lots of nuisance calls, but it is very very poor user experience), very poor response times, and in some cases never, to my complaints - even though I was told my concerns would be escalated to an advisor, attempting to increase rates to me within 6 weeks of joining (and thankfully I have a cancellation opportunity), sub-standard broadband speed when compared with Sky (our previous provider), tried to charge me £65 for a phone line engineer which you choose to appoint, I simply advised that connection speeds were too slow - imagine if I have been an old lady or man who wasn't capable or confident enough to check my statements regularly and tell you you are wrong (that is a disgrace)....on the whole, and I'm actually a very tolerant person, a poor experience with your company and I am very pleased to say that as of the 11th October 2015 - I shall no longer be one of your customers...put this review on your website.

    Another company not bothered about customer loyalty, been with talk talk 5+ years have less than 4 months left on contract asked for the new deal.REPLY
    We cant do it for existing customers just New ones .absolutely unbelievable and not helpful customer services.
    please consider customer services on broadband deals before you buy.

    Was supposed to have our broadband activated on the 10/07/2017 it worked until the 12/07/2017 we called them about the issue, was passed from person to person with no one seeming to have a clue what they are talking about. When trying to cancel the contract within the cool down period they told me blatant lies promising they would have this issue solved within 72 hours. It's now the 8/8/2017 and still no broadband, they are trying to charge me cancellation fees and we are paying bills for a service that still doesn't work. Due to further investigation from my end, no help from talk talk at all I have found we have a cross line, why could talk talk not do this with all there recourses.
    I would avoid talk talk like the place, I've never had such terabible customer service, they are rude and just transfer you from person to person and you get no wear.
    Save your self alot of hassle and don't go with talk talk

    Without doubt some of the most useless customer service staff in the industry. I had a very specific issue with a you view box which to date has not been diagnosed following 6 calls into hours of waiting time. Answer is AVOID

    STAY WELL CLEAR!!!!! been on the phone for the last 3 days trying to cancel my policy due to moving house WILLING TO PAY THE CANCELLATION FEE but still no help on hold all the time advisers not got a clue request call back to confirm cancelation but still no call SHOCKING CUSTOMER SERVICE!!

    Avoid.
    Apparently, it is impossible for their customer’s correspondence department be contacted by phone or email and it is impossible for a costumer's call to be transferred to that department. They can only be contacted by letter to a PO box. They are as ISP!
    All I wanted was a short email sent to me confirming what was agreed over the phone, but that is impossible for TalkTalk to do.
    avoid and leave as soon as you can.

    Support lie to you all the time to get you off the phone. Constantly passing you around in circles in different departments then say "try again in a week".

    Route is rubbish as it keeps losing connection in the evenings. Just avoid.

    One of the worst experiences ever. Talktalk is horrendous is deal with. The set up arrived on time but the ultra fast broadband I booked in unfortunately wasn't able to reach its full capacity due to our area. We were advised to contact talktalk to downgrade our broadband. No help from customer service and without warning, they just cancelled our broadband. We endured another 10 calls over the next few days try and get it all up and running again and it couldn't be switched back on. Every person we dealt with in customer service was equally unhelpful and no one had a clue what was going on as there's no communication their end or notes on the account. I regret ever dealing with talktalk and hope I never have to deal with the company again. Not worth the time.

    Unbelievable slow in the evening. Just measured at 0.14 MB/s In the morning up to 7Mb/s. Email takes up to a day to send. They just don't buy enough bandwidth from BT. Can't use Iplayer or you tube after the school kids get home.

    WORST BROADBAND COMPANY I HAVE EVER USED!

    talktalk used to be VERY cheap and you got what you paid for, so they were a go to when you needed some internet on the cheap. but now they are extortionate for what you get, THE INTERNET DROPS OUT, CUSTOMER SERVICE IS POOR, SPEED IS NOT WHAT IS ADVERTISED AND THEY ARE OVERALL POOR.

    i will NEVER come back to this company EVER again, i will search for the best deals on providers such as VIRGIN which we have now moved to.

    PLEASE for who ever is considering talktalk DONT DO IT! spend an extra £10 or less a month on the bigger branded providers with deals on and just keep switching at the end of your contracts when the deal runs out.

    TALKTALK shouldnt even be allowed to provide broadband you might aswell invest in a horse courier to send your emails! it would be way quicker!

    Have been with talk talk for few year
    They started out not brill but just ok about 6 months ago after putting price up d/load speed dropped from approx 2mbs to 0.6mbs i would ring they zapped the line improvement for few days then back to around 0.6mbs . Coming to end of contract tried to cancel, on phone for over an hour being passed from one person to another .had great difficulty understanding these people their english was very poor .cannot give them any rating what so ever worst customer service i have ever dealt with

    Please do not join this service. I am still waiting for my refund of £172.20 after 15 days. This is a joke! Upon calling talk talk today I was passed around until I had spent £3.50 on phone calls with no solution. They claim that they have sent a cheque, but do not use registered mail, so have no evidence of delivery.

    Two things stuck me:

    1. Who sends cheques? The only reason is an insidious one where they are trying to make it unnecessarily hard to claim back what is rightfully yours.

    2.By not using recorded mail you, the customer, are left in a quasi-purgatory where they claim that they have "sent the cheque so it must be with you; prove that it isn't".

    Absolutely the worst broadband company around. They make no effort whatsoever to resolve issues, Connectivity problems daily from the start, and the worst customer services I have had the misfortune to deal with.. I have gone back to Sky, who at least have a customer service based in the UK, who actually answer their phones and deal with your problems in a timely fashion. Would never use again or recommend.

    TalkTalk is very fraudulent company and NEVER make the mistake of joining as they will provide no service and will charge you and they will make it nearly impossible to get a refund. I made the mistake of accepting to change and they did NOTHING! Within 2 weeks I was charged £59.89 and despite calling and spending hours and being tossed around for over a month, I have received NO REFUND! They are FRAUDSTERS and PLEASE!!! NEVER MAKE THE MISTAKE! FLEE FROM TALK TALK!!

    Talk Talk took over the Tesco service and transferred it to the TALK Talk system last Friday. The internet works badly and we are unable to receive telephone calls. We can make phone calls.

    Worst company ever. I signed up with them 4 months ago. Terrible customer service department. Stick to a script don't call you back at appropriate times, barely understand what they are saying. 4 months in I still don't have my Internet or TV installed. Finally cancelled the appointment after losing all faith in them. 2 days after cancelling an engineer turned up out of the blue to install the phone line and got stroppy when I said no. Do not touch this company ever!

    I'm on an 8Mb deal and get between 5 & 6Mb....when it works. The problem is the router constantly losing the internet connection. It can take up to half an hour to reconnect. Tried customer service many times and those friendly Asian robots go through all their a,b,c prompts and eventually get me to phone 'level B support' once they've authorised me to be able to speak to them. Level B try to sund more knowledgeable but I'm now almost a year into the deal with no improvement. I'm no longer trying and will be moving when the contract allows.

    In 6 months we have had 1 month where we've been able to use the broadband without issues. Bills getting higher and higher each month, had engineers out (who only made the problem worse!) Constantly been on the phone to them to be told we had to keep paying the bills until they figured out what was wrong! After 6 months with the company and having to buy data for my mobile every month because the Wi-Fi doesn't work we are changing companies, their customer service is absolutely appalling! Anyone thinking of using this provider put your money back in your pocket and run! Talk talk now expect me to pay a £40 bill when it's supposed to be £26 (nothing extra has been used) and also think we are paying £282 for early cancellation! Talk talk, you can whistle for your money because I'm not paying a single penny more for a service that isn't fit for purpose!

    I've had speed issues with talktalk broadband for the past 2 months. Every time I call the support number one of the following things happen:
    1- they can't solve the issue, hence hang the phone up.
    2- they say they're a manager and will solve the issue, but they don't at the end.
    3- they send a talktalk engineer over, who is more useless that the phone support.
    4- they send BTOpenReach engineer, who says nothing is wrong.
    5- the above cycle gets repeated two to three times.
    6- you want to make a complaint, but then there is no one more senior than the technical manager, hence he reports the complaints on the system and no one will call you back.
    7- you get so frustrated that you want to cancel the contract, but they don't allow you.
    8 - your contract runs out, then talktalk sales people keep calling you to make sure you sign another 18 months contract with them.

    Then they charge you £65 for a visit from an engineer who couldn't fix the problem. AVOID AVOID AVOID

    So poor. For months we struggled with intermittent service after having their service installed in our flat. You cannot speak to anybody in the UK unless you are borderline abusive to the staff in the Phillipines call centre (or wherever they are based, they sound Fillipino to me!) They all read from a standard script (as per) and often cannot give any explanation for why the service is poor, down or why the router just will not connect to the internet. I was sent THREE routers from them over the course of 6 months and even bought my own from PC World - not one of them had a reliable connection to the internet. Talk Talk refused to acknowledge that the service was poor and they wouldn't do anything about it, every time they gave me the same excuse: 'it must be a faulty router, use your ethernet connection'. REALLY?! If that is the case they obviously can't even manufacture a decent router, let alone provide a reasonable standard of internet connection. They gave me so many gestures of goodwill and billing discounts to try and placate me that I cannot even count the number of times on two hands. In the end, we relocated to a different area in the UK and terminated the contract ASAP.
    Where we lived previously to that, we experienced Fibre with Talk Talk which I have to admit was reliable approx. 85% of the time, hence the 2 stars for the speed. In terms of customer service, reliability and satisfaction however, I wish I could give this company less than 1 star. AVOID AVOID AVOID.

    This is the worst service ever. Had the Openreach out to solve the last problem 3 months ago. Again no internet!!!! Asked to unscrew the Openreach box from the wall and do all sorts. Not likely £40 for an engineer to come !!!! To check what the last engineer did 3 months ago
    Is this company for real.

    WORST COMPANY EVER. I'd avoid going with talktalk, especially if you don't want to be robbed of your own money. 2 months since I made the call to cancel with them and I received a letter charging me just under £70, saying I have to pay or it will be handed to a debt collector. When I called to cancel, I cancelled my direct payment (which was after when they should have taken money for that month) but because they couldn't disconnect me, till a month after, then they're obviously charging me for that extra month too but they didn't tell me anything about that, when I called them. DON'T GO WITH TALKTALK, SAVE YOUR MONEY.
