    Awful broadband and phone supplier. I rang 6 timed to arrange a home move and service engineer to come and put in a telephone socket as talktalk couldn't move my existing number and service engineer. Unbelievable!! The customer service is rude and argumentative reading from scripts. I would never use talktalk again as something as simple as moving my number and booking an engineer is too sophisticated for this company.

    Absolutely SHOCKING customer service. Just avoid like the plague.

    It seems I’ve had the same experience as many on here and OH how I wish I’d read these reviews before engaging with these incompetent charlatans!

    I ordered future fibre.
    I rang up to ask where is my installation to be told they cancelled my order!
    So I reinstated it.
    I then had to ring up again to ask where my installation was only to be told AGAIN they had cancelled my order!
    I stupidly reinstated it.
    I then had to ring up AGAIN to ask where my installation was only to be told AGAIN!!!!!! they had cancelled my order! For a 3rd time! And it was written on my account’s notes that I had reinstated it….but they had just done nothing!!!!!!!!

    All of this with over an hour of combined sitting on hold.

    I just can’t believe how bad they have been!

    The worst.
    Reading the reviews mybexperience mimicks many complaints. Super low speed fequently. Peak times shut out. Dropping connection making work impossible. Cost the company over 7'000 in lost time since summer. Inneficient customer service, attempts to extract monies without giving value. Inherited the connection and they never sent the engineers for faults. Legal action seems inevitable. Bad! :(

    I have Broadband, telephone, and a TV set top box. with TalkTalk I have spent hours on the phone trying to resolve an issue with my set top box and now it appears that as they could not contact me they just close the issue so we go round and round without anything being resolved. Customer services sucks I wish I had looked at the reviews before signing up with them as service is not as described in there adverts. Roll on end of contract.

    Terrible internet connection, spoke to talk talk to improve things, they offered their superfast broadband option. Promised to send us a new router and didnt send one for over a month, we had to chase 5 times and every time they gave us a different version. We were told that we need a new one, then we were told that we do not need a new one. another time we were told that our current router is not compatible. Promised new router and new connection just so we don't cancel and never sent one. The internet is slow and unreliable.

    Worse customers service ever. Had no internet. No phone line. No tv. When the tv did work we didn't get the channels we asked for. Asking for money back for service we havnt had. People have hung up on me put the phone picked up put phone down. Said they would ring back on a number of occasions but never did

    Despite what I'd been told in the ads internet coverage is patchy and slow and I frequently have to turn the router on and off to get a connection. Wish I'd paid a bit more with another provider. It's true what they say,you get what you pay for.

    Update on previous review. Broadband completely failed now and they can't get an engineer to me for 12 days so have told them I will cancel direct debit and walk away and they can pursue me thru the courts. No ratings at all as complete package and customer service is absolutely useless. Totally horrendous experience. Would advise anyone against signing up with them.

    Been with talk talk some years now but up graded to faster fibre may as well called it supperrrrrrrr slow because that's what it is phoned to complain 14 times Roald to reset route to know a Vale faster broadband my a×××.

    AVOID. The customer service is nonexistent. I had to battle with them just to set up a direct debit and was blatantly lied to every time I spoke to someone from customer services. The ONLY reason I stuck with them was because the broadband was reliable but they don't even have that going for them now! Can't watch anything on now TV without it buffering EVERY 10 seconds (yes, I've timed it) and taking 15 seconds to start again. DO NOT USE TALK TALK. EVER.

    I was migrated to TalkTalk by Virgin National because Virgin National believed Talk Talk could offer a better speed of service. So on migrating, and finding I did not, I called their technical advice a number of times, who eventually sent me an engineer. This engineer told me there was no charge for the visit as he had insufficient information to assess the situation as some configuration had been changed the previous day......this was a MONITORING visit and to call out another engineer after a week or so. This I did and my router was replaced. Then the bill arrived and I had been charged for that monitoring visit. I complained and was assured of a phone call from their complaint department within 3 day they having both my mobile and land line. By the third day I called TalkTalk to be told they had tried to call me but were unable to leave a message (how so I wondered, other people leave messages on my mobile and land line)...I got home from my travels later, and had a message on my land line saying they had tried 3 times (no record on my land line or mobile of this) and saying they would close the case. They did not give me a number to call them either so I did 1471 and got a very very long numbered mobile that could not take calls....that I can only assume was from india.

    I decided to leave them so two days ago talked to the MAP code section and talked to a lovely man who got my bill reduced to the rental of £20.31. I reinstated my direct debit. Today get a call asking for the full charge of an engineer visit and monthly broadband fee of £20.31 minus £30. I complain and get transferred to someone who says its the full amount with no dicount of £30. I get put through to an engineer charge dispute team who sorted it.

    Talk Talk are so unjoined up. They seem to lie, do not have the courtesy of leaving a number to call them back on...and offer poor broad band speeds for my area (so the last engineer told me anyway...so why the migration?)

    I have been a fairly contented Talktalk customer for 8 year, then all went pear shaped when we decided to move from town to the country. I gave TT 18 days notice and they texted me straight away to be in my new property on the day or they would charge me! Four days after moving in, and with no BB or contact, I rang them on my mobile. They said there were problems with the old cables and they would know more in a week. I was supposed to ring them back. This I did, and same old problems and broken promises. Five weeks after informing them on my move and am STILL waiting. Dreadful customer care - they don't actually care! They never ring back and expect me to spend a fortune on my mobile. They talk about 'their engineers', when we all know that BT still control the network. Pathetic. Talk talk may be cheaper, but when problems occur, they are beneath contempt. Stay well clear.

    I'm not one to review, but felt compelled to with regard to my talk talk broadband. My contract with another, shall we say 'leading internet provider' and looked around a bit for a better deal. Long story short I chose Talk Talk and tentatively signed up. Fast forward a month, the speed is as fast as my previous provider and (here's the really good bit) it is HALF THE PRICE! I really couldn't be more pleased, and had to share it with people who are midst searching..

    Basically I had 2 accounts..one for me the other 4my son..talktalk advised me to complete change of ownership for my son so he could deal with his own acc..thurs 7thsept I ring as no device.. 2hours l8tr and after making a payment I'm advised it's cut off (No reason)..but they can't discuss it as talktalk put my son in charge of MY ACC!!!..SOME 6.5 hours of talking to talktalk..talking to miss Burnley..tracy acc manager
    Sam..siya..wendy Sheila AND 4days l8tr a call from TEFFY the top talktalk MANAGER..STILL NO ONE cud change the names bk..but get this they wouldn't talk to me about it as I'm not the acc.holder...aaarrrggh...anyone would think they are Lloyds bank with their security questions etc..to say I'm flaming mad is an understatement.. the payment I made tho I categorically gave them my address..they took it off my son's acc..they won't put that right..also to have my acc on n running I'm advised to take a new acc n new phone no.?!!..some 6days l8tr of pure anger/frustration my son had to ring and say I want you to put my mum's acc back on..youve put me as owner of her acc but I'm telling you I'm not!!..THEY PUT IT BK ON!!!!..After running around punching the air n shouting in pure joy..door knocks..its a new router from talktalk!!!!..you all can gather y the 17th Sept I will own 3 accounts 3 phone no.s....WATCH THIS SPACE..#NO CUSTOMER SERVICE..#No common sense.. .#no empathy and basically it a lot of anything...TRACIE PENNELL

    Broadband is very unsatisfactory. Have to deal with poor WiFi on a daily basis. I suggested we switch to better broadband but my parents had a different idea which is to upgrade but I doubt it will improve our broadband. I would not recommend TALK TALK to anyone!!!

    The worst service I have ever had. If you need to contact customer service over a problem you spend hours going over the same checks again and again. If the problem continues it is impossible to resolve.

    Absolute joke!!!! Come home tonight after child in hospital to find they’ve taken over my phone line in someone else’s name!!!!!     Worse service I ever used. Problems with the service from the day it went live. They tried to over charge me twice and within the probation period they are charging me to leave. They failed to inform me of advance charges. The internet speed is very slow the download speed I should have is 16.5 and its only at 6mb the upload isn't even 1mb. If you don't wanna be messed around I don't recommend this company.

    Since upgrading to fibre35 ( because TTinsisted) Broadband speed WAY below what it should be, TT know this but no help offered.Chat line cuts off, email came back as Mailer Deamon..I do not know who to turn to now.

    Don't bother with talktalk had problems from day one and still no engineer been out it's a joke . Rang today regarding a fault with tv box not recording or turning on. My wife was spoken to like dirt. The chap at the other end was losing his temper. Not a nice company policy . Getting a engineer out on Wednesday it's now sat really fast repairs then lol. I would not recommend talktalk to anyone.

    I signed up to TalkTalk on 15th December, to go live on 16th Feb. As of the 15th I still hadn't received my router or a tracking number for Yodel to check it's status, so I contacted live chat for an update.

    They told me that my router was on it's way and could arrive up to 6pm on the 16th.

    It's now the 16th, so I got back on to live chat to follow up as nothing received yet. After 30 minutes on a chat I'm then told, and I quote:

    "Thank you for staying on the chat looking into the account the order was set to be live on the 16-02-2021.However there was a external delay on the line at the cabinet exchange.I have checked the order and it's delay with line plant record team and I have escalated to the team and please check back on 18/02/21 the order will be progressed and once the order will will than dispatch the router and book an new engineer appointment."

    In short, they can't even tell me when my service will go live till the 18th when they may or may not send me my router!

    DD cancelled as of tonight so they can't take any money and writing this while on live chat to their cancellations dept (retentions) who are taking so long to reply to each message that I have time to do so!

    Worst service ever.

    Terrible customer service, very difficult to understand and impossible to get a problem sorted quickly. Their system is a maze, they have essentially made it impossible for you to ever speak to the same person twice so you have to explain problems to each person you speak to.
    YouView box stopped working after 2 months, and they have refused to fix it because the warranty isn't provided for customers who didn't purchase the box at the start of the contract. What a joke!

    when the broadband works ..its good.but generally not working..You view poor quality and non exsistant customer service.Always read off a script when you get through and ask you to perform certain tests when they know very well from their side that the issues experienced are caused by their side.VERY UNSATISFACTORY SERVICE OR THAT SHOULD BE NON SERVICE !!!!

    Absolutely disgusted with this company my partner upgrades from wifi to the tv box set was paying £21.00 for the WiFi and to upgrade to the tv box set it would come to £29 to witch we was happy we had a problem with connecting our WiFi to the box as the WiFi was in the kitchen and the box was in the living room half way across the house so spoke to talk talk last month was on the phone for over a hour had the phone put down on me till I left a review on trust pilot and someone called me back saying I could have the WiFi adapter for a extra £10 one off payment so that would come to £40 this month only and next month would continue to be £29
    £60 got took out of my partners account she’s absolutely gutted
    As her account was overdrawn and she did not have the extra money to cover her rent so she was short. The box is a absolute joke they don’t tell you that you need your WiFi box next to your tv and now we have just been robbed I’m sick of ringing talk talk and getting put threw to a call center half way across the world as they don’t understand my complaint I will not be using this box set anymore and have plugged it out and I will also not be recommending it to my family and friends also
    Absolutely disappointed and disgusted in talk talk service I wish I stayed with sky and will be talking with sky about redoing them for there internet and there tv serviced

    Costumer service ridicules, every single month problem with payments. I told you my few times my wife change the surname automatically change bank account surname is well, 10 month battle for change account details. Every single month talk talk charge me 12£ extra for send me email with remainder. You are ridiculous, you never happened again. And for future customers, stay away from talk talk .

    Writing this whilst waiting for a call-back after over an hour on the phone trying to cancel my account since the internet keeps dropping out.This has been happening for the last 6 days and I have only been with them for a week - nothing suggested by them has worked and now I am being told that the 20 day cooling off period started from their first e-mail to acknowledge my order so I will have to pay for the full 24 month contract to leave! I feel I have been scammed.

    Worst company I’ve dealt with ever problems with intermittent broadband for six months customer service if that’s what they call agents that either don’t understand English or you can’t understand them don’t even speak clearly .....although gone on for six months they claim I first spoke to them just 10 days ago ....unfortunately I can’t leave till February 2019 can’t wait my advice do not sign
    up unless you want to experience hassle and zero service
    In the last 5 days I have spent around 16 hrs speaking with them was totally exhausted and frustrated with them

    Had broadband with Tesco originally until it was taken over by Talktalk and had no end of problems since. Contacting them at least once a month and have to go through the same conversation and do the same checks every time then it works for a few weeks then it's the same thing again either very slow or won't connect at all. As I work I find it hard to make time to contact them and sort these issues out and certainly don't expect to have to do it every month. I've gone nearly 2 weeks without it working properly and my daughter has had to complete important school work else where and this last time I've contacted them thy have said it could take upto 10 days to stabilise! So will definitely be disputing my bill. Unsure if the problem is my area but I don't get what I pay for so am now in the process of moving to another provider.

    DO NOT DO IT......do not go anywhere near this company, by the time you get through you get a very polite person that apologises and then does nothing.

    Half the time they do not log your call, secondly they keep you on hold and thirdly they make promises they cannot keep.

    Appalling customer service appalling broadband speeds .....apparently fibre to be honest dial up was faster.

    I was told it was my devices, ok so my iPhone works perfectly well until I get home. Treated me like I’m some sort of idiot, even a fool could work that one out.

    They’re useless half of the staff you can chatting and laughing in the background.

    I will never ever go to this company again, I’ve wasted hours of my life calling them them going through speed checks, updating the router telling me I’ve enough internet speed and other sites tell me it’s very very slow and yet it’s still my devices, being passed from person to person to be disconnected.

    I would not even go to this company if I was desperate.

    Where do I start with this review. It has to be as long as it is because there has been SO many issues with this company, just looking and seeing the words Talktalk fill me with dread and anxiety. I have asked them to ban me from their services so if I ever lose my marbles or forget what myself and partner have been through we don’t accidently try to sign up years down the line.

    So we had Talktalk at our old address, my girlfriend lived their first and it was in her name, initially I had no issues setting up here internet there. Easy as 1,2,3 guy came out, signed up for it online, no issues with internet, would of stayed with them for decades if what was to come never happened.

    So I move in with her after we get married, at this point she has had Talktalk for around 4 years, no issues, good internet, fast and reliable. Please do not get me wrong I am a very patient man and incompetence is rampant in 2023 so I expect some teething issues, but what I experienced left me literally insane.

    So I try to switch to new address online, nope sorry online system cant do that (no reason why just can’t) so I try live chat, nope can’t do that. I hate doing things on the phone because it always devolves into a he said/she said type of argument down the line. Anyway I ask the lady to switch to my new address. She repeats what I say and what I want word for word, seems very competent sets me up a new account in my name for our new address and closes the account for my wife.
    Only issue with the call I would say is it took ages because they have to transfer me to 100 different departments no matter who you call will have to transfer you multiple times.
    No problem right? Well I check the email shortly after of the confirmation and I see a completely different address than the one I gave her, somewhere near to my address but I have never been there or even seen its name, so I cant of given it wrong.
    Luckily during our chat I remember that we got disconnected at one point and she rang me back, so I ring this number and get straight to same lady. She says she must of clicked the wrong address on the system and that she will ring me back tomorrow, no issue.
    Guess what, no call and then I get on the text, live chat, phone calls to get it sorted. I get assured that my address is changed and that I will get an email. I constantly get transferred I have issues verifying myself because obviously I have the wrong address on the system. Everytime I either get hung up on, disconnected or pass through dozens of departments because apparently no one there has the authority to do anything.
    So No email comes after being basically told I’m pestering them and that I should 100% be sure that its sorted. Guess what, no email comes, no confirmation. Still cant log on to my account (like all the emails say I can) because the address is incorrect and I don’t have all the details of the incorrect address.
    Eventually my GO-LIVE date comes, no text, no email, no modem. I get in contact with them again, hours of swapping departments, issues etc.
    Oh sorry btw we have delayed your modem because we are busy. At this point I ask to cancel, so I get told to ring up, so I ring up (all my calls are recorded automatically too so I have proof of all of these events) and tells me that I am cancelled now and that my services are over.
    At one point I got told by the live chat person to ring the cancellation line and apologising for their incompetence, she told me they are closed at 8. So I ring up as she has given me the number at 7, guess what? Sorry we are closed. This is the kind of incompetence I am talking about.
    So knowing full well that all these people just tell me sweet little lies I message/text and live chat to see if it is a couple of days later, no SIR your services are still active. So after going insane I managed to contact them a dozen more times until I get written confirmation in the live chat that its cancelled.
    I literally had to get some extra medication from my mental health dealing with this, as I must have spent a full working week dealing with this incompetence.
    So after it is cancelled I get a text about a week later from an engineer asking if he can pop over to install the TalkTalk, I text him no I cancelled it weeks ago, no response from him after that. Then a modem pops up. (I’m currently on live chat as I type this just trying to get them to send me a returns bag to return it and being switched through 100 departments to be told to ring up) I’m sure I’ll still get charged for it to because they can’t do anything right.

    So finally I think the nightmare is over, I turn up at my old address to pick up some mail and there is a Talktalk box there with my wife’s name on it? So they sent her a TalkTalk modem after she cancelled her services. Good thing I found it otherwise I’m sure they would send debt collectors after us and charge us £50 and damage our credit because cancelling a service to TalkTalk means send us a new modem too.

    Honestly I think I could work for TalkTalk now and know all their staff by name, I must of put in 40 hours in the couple of weeks before I started this service, I’ll surely probably be receiving modems for the rest of my life so I can start my own broadband company, I only have 3 to return right now.
    So no I will never be signing up with them again or recommending them, they offered me £40 off my bill and £100 in amazon vouchers to let them sort it out, I laughed, like ill ever get them and the issue will just sort itself out, no chance. I would not sign up to them again if they PAID me monthly to have it.

    If you have severe health problems like myself and get ill from stress, DO NOT GO WITH TALKTALK, I would of stayed with them for decades if it wasn’t for sales messing it up starting the ball of issues spinning.
    P.s Forgot to say at one point a lady on the live chat said she would get the complaints department to call me to sort out the issue, I got an email saying they would be in contact, that was over a week ago lol. Won’t hold my breath.

    Closed my dads account 78 year old and moved house, thru 2 months later took money from him being vulnerable, after complaints so so many calls agreed to refund and can’t get the money returned, they are by far the worst company in terms of customer services and complaints process, going to have to escalate complaint to ofcom

    This is about customer service and the wretched Uview box I returned in July 2014. I have letters from them to prove I returned this box. Still going to charge my account. I have cancelled my account. You can use the Ombudsman to sort out your problems with them. I will if they continue.

    Absolutely abhorrent service in every way. Customer service broadband speed etc. I wouldn't be able to fit all the problems I've had over the past few weeks into this review as it could be printed out as a door stopper. The company is absolutely disgusting, they've lied to me, they've tried to make me pay for things I didn't order, told me I had to pay for an investigation into wifi problems later, false advertising and rude staff - every single one. If the problems don't get sorted soon we will be taking legal action.

    I have been with talk talk for ten years and have put up with the poor service and the broken down ten year old phillips modem that they refuse to support or replace. I cannot even open pictures on the internet anymore. Only now that I have decided to move to sky have they bombarded me with letters saying that they are the only provider to give existing customers the same offers as new customers and how good they are. I'm sorry talk talk but this is a lie, the only letters I have ever had is to tell me my services are going up and now that they know I am leaving they are bombarding me with letters telling me what a mistake I am making. I'm sorry talk talk but you have lost a customer, my brand new Sky modem has been delivered and I am looking forward to the 12th when not only do I get a better service with a state of the art modem I also get to save £28 a month for the pleasure, Bye Bye TalkTalk for ever :-)

    They deserve no stars st all. E mail down again for the third time since the cyber attack.On the phone for nearly an hour today and still not fixed. Why can't the help centre be in this country.The helpline should be called the unhelpful line.
