Talktalk boardband is the worst boardand ever the wifi never works its so slow it says connected but we receive no wifi where paying for a boardband that doesn't even work. We tried to leave them as our contract hasn't finished we have to pay awfl a lot of money to leave them. i would never recommend talktalk boardband to anyone. Once we leave talktalk we would never join them again.
Spoke to customer service about this issuse and they didn't even take this matter seriously and didn't even do anything about it.
So were stook with them until our contract ends!!!!!!!

Where do you start , just appallingly bad, now after cancelling my contract within time they are harassing Every day for money. They need to train some people up properly.

Absolute joke!!!! Come home tonight after child in hospital to find they’ve taken over my phone line in someone else’s name!!!!! Cannot gain my account back for at least 10 days and was with previous provider for 15 years + words cannot express what a ****** waste of space this company is DO NOT USE!!!!!! BEWARE!!!!! #talktalk

Awful customer service / tech support, no ability to limit specific devices access to wifi.

I tend to change my supplier each year, in last 4 years having been with Virgin, BT and Plusnet. The broadband supply from Talktalk is fine, decent speed and rarely lose service. Two main issues though:

Unlike BT and Plusnet it is not possible to rename a device connecting to your wifi and then manage its access to wifi. This was a great benefit with BT and Plusnet, it meant that i could turn off access to wifi for my children's devices each night. This alone will mean that i will not continue with Talktalk when my contract ends.

Awful tech support/customer service. I lost broadband on Saturday morning only restored on Tuesday. The tech support team (I spoke to 4) all follow the same script, each step seeming to be to get you off the phone for a while.
Call one, day one resolution: "Turn off the modem for half an hour" and phone back if its still not working.

Call 2, day 2, "attach a microfilter to the line (even though the service has worked for 4 months without a microfilter), I didn't have one so they said they wouldn't do anything else until I had received one in the post (still hasn't arrived 3 days later), rather than wait I went out and bought one, unsurprisingly didn't help.
Call 3, day 2, unpleasant unhelpful person, kept talking over me, ignored everything I said, resolution 3, find a screwdriver and take the front off the socket to try the microfilter in the test socket, at this point I asked to move to this being a complaint over how my problem was being handled..
Call 4, complaints team....same checklist for resolution as above, would not do anything until the front of the socket had been removed, I refused as there still no reason to suspect that the socket had suddenly failed with no reason. resolution here to send an engineer 2 days later, threats by phone and text over a £65 fine if not in when engineer called at arranged time.

Day 4, engineer arrives late. wonders why tech support had been insisting on a filter in the test socket. instead resets the modem, service works again, problem resolved, a few minutes work after 4 days.

The tech support team can only seem to follow a script a set troubleshooting pathway, not interested in listening to the circumstances or actually thinking about what might be the cause.

Only been a customer for 2 hours. Having trouble connecting to router via ethernet cable. Contacted 'technical support' and now I am cancelling my contract. With out doubt the worst company I have ever dealt with, useless.

Appalling company. I was without broadband for over a month, engineer didn’t turn up on appointment day. When I asked for compensation for the extra amount I’d spent on data etc I was told to write to head office with details. Over 2 months later I’ve just gone round in circles and told that I shouldn’t have been told that as they would never compensate for this! SO much time wasted on all of this. Hours on the phone and writing letter with details. Nothing is worth dealing with this company, don’t touch with a barge pole.

Worst Broadband provider for customer service and use. Multiple drop outs, speed restrictions and the router connection being intentionally disconnected by their system at certain times. Despite multiple conversations the foreign call centre staff still can't grasp the concept Speed isn't total data usage over time! I am on in their own words an unlimited uncapped plan, yet I'm told on numerous occaisions when my connection or streaming stops or i lose connection completely that I have exceeded my data usage for the month because I have downloaded or streamed too much. They state over 30gb-60gb etc in that period. My plan is stated as uncapped and unlimited so they are lying and are too stupid to understand they are openly admitting it. My download speed is limited to 5-6mb/s and I live alone and only stream one device at a time in 1080p HD max so there shouldn't be any issues at all speed wise no matter how much data I've used over a month a day a min or a year! A watchdog governing body needs to stop them doing this and misleading customers illegally. I signed a legally binding contract for 'unlimited' 'uncapped' broadband and are breaking the law by capping my usage. Do not ever use this company if you have a choice.

No No No No No to talk talk
It’s one of the worst broad band services.
All over year I have experienced poor connection and connection drop outs.
Customer services is far more worst than imagination.
I have vacated my property , they are asking me to transfer my account to who ever coming to property next ?? What ??
How in this whole world would I know who is coming next in to the property I am vacating.
I tried to speak to them many times. They keep on transferring calls to other departments. Each time I spend more than an hour over phone - result nothing.

I would definitely say a very big No to talk talk - It’s frustrating and useless , waste of money and time.

My experience with talktalk is beyond words!!
Vile telephone helpline impossible to speak to anyone when you do get through you’re put on hold or hung up on. The email service seems to be run by computer or apes that could not answer one question or acknowledge anything stated in emails. Charges added all over the place payment system that fails then charges you for late payment
