I am surprised why I didn't got the monthly message with the amount of the bill... I guess because the price went to triple! This is the reason I am leaving not only broadband, but phone and TV too. Everyone should know how sky does!

Seriously 2016 and its rubbish! Not really the speed although it's not great but it's doesn't always work. Regularly it's not picking up. I feel unless you pay over the top fees for fibre optic (although ppl have said that's rubbish too) you get the broadband speed and reliability as the 1990s dial up connection. Disappointed with Sky as a whole and I'm leaving soon as my contract is up.

SKY Broadband has been a disaster for me. These people failed to collect a direct debit (the account hadn't changed. They then charged me double. I changed provider but they still steal money from my account. They NEVER reply to my recorded delivery letters or my emails. They are DREADFUL!!!!!!

Sky is the worst broadband going, disconnects nearly every day, the 'help' screens to reconnect are useless and do nothing.

Very Unhappy With Sky Broadband, Slow Broadband Speed. Maintenance Repairs Near Home Occasionally Lead To Faults In The Line Resulting In Intermittent Broadband Connection And Complete Loss Of Dial Tone On Telephone Handset. Due To This Happening On Numerous Occasions I Know That I Will Have To Endure Another Sky Customer Service Call, The Thought Of Contacting Sky Is Repellent Due To The Long Procedure That I Know I Will Have To Go Through Despite Knowing Exactly What The Problem Is Myself.

DO NOT GET SKY BROADBAND!!! Absolutely terrible, took 3 days for my son to download a game. I am supposed to get a download speed of 5. I have been told my HD Boxes use 2 each. So that leaves barely nothing. Go to virgin!!!

Although the customer service is good, service itself is terrible. Broadband is very slow and keeps dropping.
Engineers didn't manage to fix the issue.
Will never ever choose sky as a broadband provider.

Absolute rubbish. Keeps dropping and even with no end of customer support calls making you do the same meaningless stuff over and over and even with home visits they cannot resolve the issue. Connection is so unreliable. I would never recommend Sky broadband.

I've had sky a while now and this month they've billed me 107 pounds considering it's supposed to be 45pounds ! I've rang them only to be spoke to like a child and for them to say that's the amount I've got to pay well I can say I'm defiantly not paying it and I will be changing !

Ongoing intermittent problem since nov 2015. 6 engineers to date and the problem still exists. Asked to speak to a manager yesterday, i've given-up hope on receiving the call. To my horror, I was asked do I still have an extension cable from socket to router -- the last but one engineer moved the inlet cable by front door, some 6 weeks ago. Why has that not been reflected in my records? Performance is poor and i'm now considering moving house as I work from home for a technology company and expected to be online!!! come on SKY, are you really that bad?? I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND YOU SERVICES TO ANYONE IN THEIR RIGHT MIND.

Hi we have been with sky for a year now .I was with virgin before as I was moving house. a family member talked me in to joining sky, omg the internet connection drops nearly every couple mins very slow...my son brought a game on his xbox this afternoon it took over 6 hours to download his friends took 3 half he with virgin..am not sure if will stay with sky we have said we will give it till end june paying £60mth started at £44 last march..The only thing i can say is i had a problem with internet not connecting at all last night monday 30th may,,i called sky an had a chap called Oliver he was fantastic spent 2 hours 15mins helping me sort the problem an he was dedicated that by the end of the call he wanted to fix problem which he did do with such good manners an chirpy attitude which considering the problem was very complexed with out having the internet connection to work with Oliver pulled out all the stops an problem sorted we were up an running by the end of the call,,thank you Oliver for your professionalism and manners an patience were more than 100% ,,,,I think its only right that a good review is called for thank you...as for Internet an staying with sky due to connection is still in question if we stay or not...

First thing to say about Sky is that, regardless of the problems we had, their customer service was top class. Their call center was also based in the UK which is a luxury BT can't seem to afford.
However, the product itself was bad. No, scratch that - it was VERY bad. We don't get "super fast" broadband in Cumbria anyway, but as I work from home I need a reliable, usable download speed - 3 Mbps or above is usually fine for me to do what I need to do online. We had been with BT for about a year and we'd been getting between 5 and 7 Mbps so I was happy with that, but when BT came up for renewal, the price for phone plus broadband was essentially the same as the price at Sky for phone, broadband, and Sky TV, so we decided to switch.
Sky's salespeople assured me that the speed was purely determined by the infrastructure in my area - i.e. the cabling, telephone exchange, etc. and that therefore I should expect to see a similar speed after the switchover. Sky's website offered a more conservative estimate of between 2 and 6 Mbps for my postcode, but after the reassurance I was happy to proceed.
We switched from our BT router to the Sky router around 6:00pm on the date of the switch over and immediately noticed a difference in speed - it was SO much slower. It remained painfully slow all evening, even past midnight into the small hours so I don't buy this "peak times" nonsense.
We'd gone from getting 6 Mbps on BT earlier that same day to getting 0.3 Mbps from Sky in the evening - a drop of 95% of our broadband speed.
0.3 Mbps is about what we've averaged in the evenings since. The speed starts to drop around 4:30pm, and by 6:00pm it's like using dial-up. I need to be accessible for work, it's part of my work contract that I'm available to jump on and sort out any issues that arise in the evenings and Sky broadband makes it impossible for me to complete my job.
The speed falls well below even their lowest prediction. I have spoken with Sky about it, and their very nice customer service rep ran a bunch of line tests and so on to make sure everything was configured correctly. She was then straight and honest with me and told me that there's nothing they can do, and that the only way we'd be able to get back to the speed we'd been enjoying would be to switch back to BT.
So that's what we've done and our contract with Sky for phone and broadband has been cancelled. If you're looking for a basic service and don't mind using it at off-peak times (like during the day) maybe Sky broadband wouldn't be a bad option. But if you want to be able to use your internet connection in the evening or at weekends, you're really better off looking elsewhere because Sky, by their own admission, simply do not have the equipment to keep you online at anything like an acceptable speed. I'm very disappointed with Sky's product, though I am grateful for their honest customer service advice.
Strongly not recommended.

Shocking service- my internet cuts off daily and I've lost work due to it (as I work from home). Customer service are appalling and just keep sending me a new microfilter and asking me to remove/adjust wires. Unbelievable!
It seems to be getting worse but the cost more expensive!

Having been with BT for a number of years, took the plunge and went for a Sky deal. We are based in rural Norfolk, so I was worried changing from BT would be a mistake, but I was wrong! Our speeds have been so much better, sitting at around 11mb, compared to 5mb. We are now at then end of our year contract and I have only had to call them once during that time as we had a couple of days of drop outs. The customer service centre was fabulous and all was sorted. Now going to sign up for another year as confident in their products.

Constant failure for the router to connect to Internet, customer services will always blame you and expect you to pay when it's their mistakes, advertised speed has never once been reached, id be lucky to get 12mbps down and 0.3mbps up. Over all do not go for this broadband. I'd recommend anything bar them as they fail to keep a decent connection. Also sales team has lied on several occasions about fibre coming here some point last year and that it wouldn't be any longer than August yet here we are in the end of May without any fibre.

Well I don't know what it is about Sky but.....for the last year I have been with BT for standard broadband. When I signed up they told me I'd get 3 - 8 mbs download speeds and I consistently got between 3 and 3.25 mbs download. Two weeks ago I switched to sky on a free broadband for 1 year offer. They also advised me that I'd get 3 - 8 mbs download. Since then I have checked regularly using speedtest.net and have recorded the following download speeds:
13/5 - 7.16
14/5 - 7.37
15/5 - 7.49
16/5 - 7.74
18/5 - 7.63
19/5 - 8.09
20/5 - 7.67
23/5 - 8.5
24/5 - 8.56
Why couldn't BT give these speeds.

Horrendous.
1. Service had multiple bugs and issues during usage period.
2. After ending my contract early SKY continued to ILLEGALLY bill me on a monthly basis having despite confirmation of cancellation via email.
Happy to take your money even if your no longer their customer.
Extremely disappointed and feel exploited.
Terrible experience,
DO NOT GET SKY BROADBAND
*unless your happy to pay bills 3 months after your cancellation.
