It is not a trustworthy company. Sky has increased the monthly payment during the minimum term contract. Customer service is awful.

Just awfull , you pay for no internet and poor customer service, keeps on putting you on hold on the phone to many people have to explain to each one once again why you called ...just and awfull experience . being a customer for over 3 years today was the last drop ,I will not accept to pay for a no internet and being treated as a door mat
If others are fine with then they are lucky and seem to have a good service if the case .Only wish they would solve there issues and care about there customers
How many days can one take off from work to sit around and wait for a tehnician that doesn't show up , how kany calls you need to make to get a service you already paid for .....just to waist your time ,mess your schedule and be put on hold every time you call
Nothing is perfect i always understood but after many issues like this I literally don't see the point in being a customer for this company, as they seem not to care

I am very disappointed with sky in all their services especially with my broadband it's been few months now my broadband is not working well I tried everything they told me to do through Facebook messenger but still is not picking up. The customer service guys are not helpful at all and are very impatient and I have been paying my bill without a faith. I have decided to leave sky and look for a better provider which I was recommended by my family. Its frustrating especially when they think you are just annoying though their broadband is not free and you pay your bill. I won't recommend sky to anyone especially their broadband provider and customer services it's appalling.

Without doubt the worst service received. We have been without connection for 5 days and have around £50/month worth of services unusable due to these idiots. Shocking service.

Literally the most pathetic excuse for an internet provider you could ever be scammed into a package for. The speed of the internet is entirely unpredictable but nontheless it takes 20 minutes to download 1GB files which is pathetic by today's standards, the connection itself is iffy too, you never know if you'll be able to keep a consistent ping to anything and whether or not you'll be able to watch the minimum acceptable video quality (720p) sometimes it even buffers on 144p. What happened to "no buffering" sky?. virgin media is better in every single way, it is more reliable in terms of the speed of the internet (in my opinion it eclipses the sky packages) only taking an average of 5 minutes to download much bigger files than sky could manage in an hour. all in all, Don't waste your time with sky and find a better provider because it is disgustingly bad.

1 star rating because I could not give less. Internet quality was an absolute mess. Had to call them almost every week because it stopped working over and over again. When they finally send an technician over he could not fix the problem and claimed it requires another special tech guy. When that one came he did not fix the problem for what reasons I don't know. Experience with Sky could have not been worse. For your own sake, avoid this company. No matter if it's a discount offer, it's not worth it. I never had such unreliable broadband in my whole life and a provider that is so incompetent in every aspect.

Connection speed can actually be pretty good when the wifi is working. Unfortunately the Sky Q routers are very unreliable when it comes to wifi and the connection regularly drops or slows down to a crawl.
I have had two replacement routers so far and both display the same problem (the first one failed completely - the one I have now seems to be heading in the same direction)

Just got sky broadband, got sky hub SR102-Z.

i had many doubts on sky snd bt as they bother use the same lines to provide internet to customers, im tired of all these crappy excuses and not enough being done to fix the dam problem. My sky wired ethernet connection keeps dropping the signal. I have done all that silly tech nonsense that never works and they go home at night saying im a pc expert blah blah. Really how its only simple plug in and unplug you always talk about ?. that not an expert, thats just turning it off and back on again. I have stripped it back and reconnected as it says in that silly box, again did not work. chatted to sky online with one of those sky typing windows, guess what it lost connection there as well, sky sucks, all those fancy pants tv adverts with actors in them in clean white coloured adverts not fooling anyone sky, you need to shake up your problems and get down to getting things put right. We want what we pay you for. I was with virgin media, great service, great broadband and i only left as i moved house and i could not get the service where i live now, after online search seems many sky users have this signal drop problem, i think they are just using a a crappy router, with fancy pants shiny cover. As you can get routers from 3rd parties to get better signals but sky say oh no no if you do that we can,t offer you our technical service, always a bloody catch with the uk, you suck. Strange sky these other routers get better signal and better connection with better chips in them and better firmware upgrades and yet you keep messing up, go figure. Oh look there it goes agian, no internet connection yet again, so what is really causing this to happen, come on experts. Oh it could be this and it could be that. so when are you gonna get this put right, its very obvious some thing is causing this, its just so simple and you don,t know what it is, or you can,t delliver all thos tv fancy adverts you said you could. And by the way this is on firbre optic broad band, yet i keep getting kicked off the internet. enough is enough.

GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER AND SOUGHT THIS OUT ONCE AND FOR ALL.

Be warned, Sky is not all about customer service.
Talked into switching from BT infinity to sky fibre, promising disruption only being a matter of minutes. I had to suffer without broadband for 4 days, on the bright side they did transfer my telephone as promised allowing me to complain about there service, & for the tech team to be as much use a chocolate fire guard.

I was guaranteed minimum access speed of 27.4mb on my Sky Fibre contract. Its only ever been 20-22mb. I had a Sky engineer come to test internally and externally to find out what the issue was. When left he told me the connection was 30mb, I run about a dozen Broadband Speed tests..is was 3-6mb he had made it worst. This lasted for about 3 weeks. Now its at 23mb. Disappointed with SKY to be honest.

The broadband speed is very slow and the reliability is poor
When you are using the Internet it often switches off(on my
iPad) The download speed on tv programmers is very slow ,
Sometimes it takes overnight to download a programme.
Trying to get through to Sky on the phone, where you should
be able to speak to a human being is a trial in itself.

Having moved from a Virgin Media serviced house to an area not served by Virgin we had no real choice but Sky. They promised we could keep the number I have had since 1989, they promised we could keep our email addresses and TV would be connected the day we moved.
    All lies. Yes all lies
You cannot keep your Virgin phone number, You Virgin email only receives ( does not send) for 90 days and when you get your telly...? God Knows

Sky are crap. Their salespeople are outright liars who will say anything you want to hear just to get the sale.
They know that the BT offering does not compare so they have you by the short and curlies. BEWARE !!!!

Having had a conversation with sky about a black Friday update to sky Q,we were told that our internet would change to super fast on the 5th of December and the sky Q on 24th December.
5th came and went with no notification,we rang sky and then told the 12th.The 12th came and went(again no notification)
On the 13th we noticed we had no internet or landline.
Subsequent conversations with sky means now we are expected to be connected on the 6th/7th of January, all this meant over 5 hours on the phone.
I find this totally unacceptable and very frustrating,I have a house full this Christmas, plus I subscribe to Amozon prime and Netflix which now cannot be viewed

In hindsight the biggest mistake I have ever made is signing up for Sky fibre broadband. It is utter *****. The price you sign up for is not the price you pay. Can’t even watch Netflix or Amazon prime due to not loading due to broadband dropping every other day. Our previous provider worked 100% all the time. We changed provider because previous provider prices were too high. Guess what I am now paying the same price do to Sky Lies. I have another 14 months of this **** I would rate sky with a middle finger. Avoid like the plague.

Quite possibly the worst broadband provider in the uk. Slow speeds, unreliable connection and the cancellation process is a joke. Everyone knows that any cancellation must be in writing; with Sky you have to write to them and then PHONE them afterwards to cancel.

Sky and BT Openreach don't exactly make a dream partnership. Installation confirmed by lots of text messages from them, I thought wow great communication. Engineer didn't show up. Rescheduled installation date only to be emailed a past date. Advisors haven't a clue, kept transferring calls then they put you on hold for ages then hang up the phone! What a farce!!!! Shocking customer experience.

It started off well, then over several months the service (internet speed) dropped off! I rang them to ask why, but they insist that it has been improved? It doesn't reflect the reality when I tested the speed online I got 2.54 when the promised 8.0. OK, it was 18.20 when I needed the internet.... but this is something they should prepare for. This is little better than dial-up!

    Disgusted.

I was a new customer with Sky. But now I wish I never joined Sky. I have so many regrets.I have had two months of nightmare. The Wifi on my mobile and my sons mobile we had no connection with the internet. I called 3 to 4 times to Sky customer services and I was told to follow the instructions online and change the channel number. when I wanted Sky to send someone out to check our lines it was clear to me they didn't want to waste their money sending someone out. I waited for the Manager to contact me but I got no call back. I had to pay £20 to Vodafone network for internet and I was at the paying Sky £22 too for the service I wasn't receiving.I waited over two months but we were receiving no internet connection on our phones. I Then cancelled the contract with Sky But I have to now pay a fee of £79.20 for cancellation. it wasn't even my fault. I feel I was taken advantage of. They don't want to waste a penny on their customers but instead they take money off them even though we're not at fault. no one was bothered. I have never had bad experience with any other network services. I will never join Sky again I've lost a lot of money because of them.

Just moved broadband to SKY after becoming increasingly unhappy with my BT service (drop - outs, slow etc.) and their average speed of around 7mbps. I found the whole process very painless and simple. I called them yesterday as I was finding the connection speed a bit erratic and a lovely man spent an hour helping me work through a few things until the problem was resolved. We now average 12.4mbps with zero drop outs so a vast improvement on BT. I've been with Sky for TV since 1990 and I've always found them to be very helpful but perhaps I've just been lucky. Anyhow,I'm happy with my broadband so far and I'm glad I left BT.

Beware before taking out a contract!!! I recently switched from talk talk to sky as it was a better deal. As it is the same line I knew I would get the same speeds and they had never been a problem so thought, why not? It turns out that the router included is terrible and has a lot of interference! To the point where I cannot receive signal in parts of my (small) house. As a result I use my mobile data (also sky) and need to buy extra data every month. This obviously suits sky as they are receiving more money! Don’t bother calling the tech team as they will put the phone down on you as soon as they realise you can’t be fobbed off, you then cannot leave sky without penalties as you haven’t gone through the tech team. How convenient that I spent the. Best part of 15 minutes on the phone with them but nothing was recorded on my account? Sky employ sneaky tactics to keep your custom.

Awful reliability. Connection constantly drops. Virgin never gave me issues but they had poor channel selection for the price of a broadband and tv package. And Virgin creep up prices all the time. So tried Sky. Sky TV is great bu their broadband sucks.

Worst customer service i have ever experienced. I have moved home and called to report it to take my sky broadband with me. Everything done on the phone and they said it takes 2 weeks. Don't know why it takes 2 weeks if i am already a customer and i have the hub and they just need to switch on but ok. The date of activation they gave me came and nothing happened. Next day i called and the odyssey with the worst ever customer service began. You have to wait at least 15 min each and every time before getting semeone on the phone who in most of the cases can't do anything and just transfers your call to another department. Then after having spent about an hour on the phone waiting "kate" tells me the order wasn't done and i will have to make a new order and guess what: wait another 2 weeks!! Didn't accept and wanted to escalate, she is just calm and doesn't care and keeps repeating the same few words as a robot. After about 6 or 7 similar calls during the next few days always hearing another explanation "ghost order" "has to be cancelled to be reordered" "takes 24 hours to be able to reorder" then "it's now cancelled so we can't do anything" "recovery team has to get in touch with back office" "we don't know where the back office team is based and how to contact them??"... I have been promised a call twice on 2 occasions by them and didn't receive anything. Called complaint office: can't take any complaint because my line is not live ???!!?? WTH (that's why i want to make a complaint in the first place!!) Want to cancel my whole account and change to another provider, can't do that either.. Basically: "we are incompetent idiots who do every conceivable mistake and deliver awful service or none at all but you are our slave and we are just whatever we want with you.. And you have to call us and wait an hour in the queue every time"

They earlier promised that they will give me a compensation for the delayed number of days. But when the order was cancelled I was given nothing facing troubles to have a broadband connection for 2.5 months and still going

I was passed over to SKY from O2.My connection constantly drops out throughout the day.The customer service team tell me the connection is good even I have no internet access.I am frustrated with SKY.
BT & O2 are much better.
