Just awfull , you pay for no internet and poor customer service, keeps on putting you on hold on the phone to many people have to explain to each one once again why you called ...just and awfull experience . being a customer for over 3 years today was the last drop ,I will not accept to pay for a no internet and being treated as a door mat
If others are fine with then they are lucky and seem to have a good service if the case .Only wish they would solve there issues and care about there customers
How many days can one take off from work to sit around and wait for a tehnician that doesn't show up , how kany calls you need to make to get a service you already paid for .....just to waist your time ,mess your schedule and be put on hold every time you call
Nothing is perfect i always understood but after many issues like this I literally don't see the point in being a customer for this company, as they seem not to care

Absolutely Gobsmacked that you have to pay a £20 fee when you are a returning customer, I certainly won't be returning after my contract.

We have been a sky customer for over 27yrs. I phoned those 2weeks ago to see if they could help me about a tree that got so bushy it was stopping my signal. The man on the phone said to me it is best moving over to having fit sky Q. The Engineer was book for the day I was of work and time. I sat in all day to have a phone call saying, sorry can’t get to you today as over worked. I was thinking he make it the next day or so but no was told the earliest it be will be the week after as he got so much on putting new customer on sky. They could not have been more unhelpful. I had to pay the £149 for this to be fitted to. When I phone up to asked as why this could not have been done sooner i was told i could cancel which i did, but my payment will be sent back to me in 3 to 4 days which after a week got an e-mail saying it be paid in 3 to4 days’ time again but they take next month’s payment out as well. I have now cancelled the phone broadband and sky altogether now, as the customer service is that bad and I was not getting a full service any way now. I definitely would not recommend sky to anyone. Totally useless, unhelpful and ungrateful towards loyal customers.

Having moved from a Virgin Media serviced house to an area not served by Virgin we had no real choice but Sky. They promised we could keep the number I have had since 1989, they promised we could keep our email addresses and TV would be connected the day we moved.
    All lies. Yes all lies
You cannot keep your Virgin phone number, You Virgin email only receives ( does not send) for 90 days and when you get your telly...? God Knows

Sky are crap. Their salespeople are outright liars who will say anything you want to hear just to get the sale.
They know that the BT offering does not compare so they have you by the short and curlies. BEWARE !!!!
    CRAP CRAP CRAP CRAP CRAP

Like most others here our wifi drops all the time and Sky won't accept it's their problem and fix it. Also the price has skyrocketed...now close to £100/month for TV, phone and broadband. Sadly Virgin isn't available in our area. If they ever come here we'll be leaving Sky faster than we can click our ruby slippers together! Horrifying lack of service.

The service that I have had from sky has been absolutely horrendous. The broadband is extreamly slow! Virgin is much better. When the router breaks, which it will as I have had 3, the call waiting time is minimum 40 mins each time and then someone on the other end hangs up! Would never in a million years recomemd Sky to my worst enemy! Horrific expirinace! Never again!

Personally I have always had excellent Sky broadband service and I've had them for years. When there was a problem everything was done to resolve it and in the end it turned out it was a telephone box in the street that was the cause. It did take a while to resolve but even the engineers scratched their heads on this one. I just wanted to counter all the negatives written on here. However Sky can be an absolute 'b' when it comes to trying to change your package. I mean I have just cancelled Netflix with the touch of a button. But I'm on a long free phone call wait to speak to Sky customer services and even if I get through I just jnoiw I'm going to bve harangued

Got sky broadband about 6 months ago. Connection has not been stable since. 3 routers, 7 engineer callouts and numerous calls later I am still with the same issues. Sky will no longer help. Looking forward to leaving them!

Sky continually reply that due to the BT lines they are renting of BT that this is why my broadband is so slow yet they put no pressure on BT to resolve this issue so have also Virgin fibre optic and have said bye bye to Sky and BT!

The worst experience I've ever had with any provider in my entire life the broadband speed makes me unable to download any games it taking 7 hours just to download 1 game! Also when I try and play online I get banned because the Internet turns its self off and I get disconnected never ever would I reccomend this to my worst of enemies 0.01/10 the worst provider out there.

This is the worst broadband I have ever had. An absolutely abysmal service. It is down more than it is working. Down as many times as past days, for hours and hours at a time. Numerous attempts at the self-help - nothing works. Impossible to call as all the lines charge at an extortionate rate and the last call to sky cost us over £25. The chat helpline thing seems to be constantly busy and "in a queue waiting". Resorted to twitter, but with no helpful response there either. Not a service worth paying for in any respect.

Regardless of published speeds of the Sky Fibre service, the low spec router negates any benefit as it is not fit for purpose. Basically, it is not capable of providing a modern WiFi service. To compound the issue, SKY has made it impossible for a customer to use their own router. Bottom line, do not waste your money on this service as you will be disappointed.

Absolutely usesless. Been a customer since December. Broadband connection drops every single day. Phone sky every day to try and get resolved they refuse me and engineer. I'm 32 weeks pregnant and work full time but the phone call takes at the very least an hour each time. They then expect me to take apart the router and the phone line. Absolutely ridiculous. I pay £25 per month for just broadband. And it's the biggest waste of £25 I've ever known.

Terrible - avoid Sky like the plague!! Broadband connection has gone out for months on end. Also had landline phone go off & be noisy on line After 10 engineers, Sky have told me that nothing can be done & advised me to leave them!! I've just bothered now to google other opinions on Sky and found this site. Wish I'd done it sooner as it appears Sky Broadband connection dropping out is a general problem and not something I thought was where I live! Im leaving them asap. Would advise anyone NEVER TO JOIN them. My 1 star is purely for the Sky twitter team as they were always friendly.

56k dial up by freeserve in 1998 was faster than sky broadband. Worst Internet service provider in the world . Forever dropping connection, can't play any online games. Youtube takes 3 years to load a 4 second clip. Anyone thinking of going to sky for broadband, think again. Absolutely piss poor . Spoke to quite a few friends who have sky and they all agree. Please stay away from this stone age Internet.

By far the worst provider on the market. Staff are incompetent service is appalling. Connection drops more than it's connected. When you call them they blame you and when you ask for compensation they say it's not down to any issues their end so u can't have compensation. In short they are the worst provider I have ever encountered. Hope u rot in hell for the hassle you put me through!!!!

Simply hopeless. Should have stayed with bt. They have farmed ou customer services to a country that can't understand or express language in simple terms. Without phone and broadband for over a month due to incompetence. If they want customers to believe in better employ more than mediocre.

Absolutely terrible ISP. They rent bandwidth from BT and they can barely do that. If you subscribe with them, be ready for 36 hour periods with no internet and the rest of the time, terrible speeds. The best you can hope to achieve is 5MB/s down and 0.5MB/s up. AVOID!!!!

We got sky 6months ago and cancelled are contract after about 10 hour long calls trying to rectify why the line kept dropping constantly. They just blame bt and bt blame sky its a fast and a waste of time. We since have moved to talktalk not had one problem the internet speed is quicker and we dont even have to use the booster we had to before with sky. Avoid sky there a bunch of incompetent idiots.

I haven't even started with Sky and I had enough of it . Spent all day waiting for an engineer (you know, this guy with a screwdriver). Took time off from work, actually had to turn my week at work upside down to make it. And then after 1pm deadline got this text - "Your scheduled appointment has now passed". I don't think you could possibly imagine my aggravation as talking to customer service, they said can't do nothing about it. And then when insisted on contacting engineer, he lied no one was home. Didn't even help saying I want to cancel my contract all together. Looks it normal for Sky. Then farewell ! worst company ever, with no respect for customers. If you like being treated like a doormat, you might enjoy dealing with Sky.

It's the second time in 2 months that my broadband and sky talk is out of order. the first time the reason given was due to workers that had damaged the line in Battersea area. it took them almost a week to fix it. did not get any refund from SKY although i only got a 3 weeks package instead of 4. Now i have the same issue and the reason given is a default on the line. it will take 3 to 5 days to fix it. if i did not call them, i would not even have been informed . Since i complain they offered to give me updates in a week ????? and a better price on my broadband (but would need to engaged for 1 more year ?????) Is this a bad joke???? i'm so fed up with all these broadband suppliers. we depend so much on them now that we feel like rats.

The speeds are dire, the price is too high for what you get, they throttle you like crazy and you get less than 10% of the speed you are promised.
I will never recommend them, my phone data is faster and has less latency problems and i'm paying a fraction of the price for unlimited download.

Absolute crap excuse of a broadband provider, haven't had internet for 2 bloody weeks when our activation date was the 1st July. Been through 2 home hubs and a million calls to sky to try to fix problem but everyday something new messes up because of their awful service, they installed fibre and its completely cut our connection down and will have to wait another week for a man from sky to fix the thing. Do not ever use Sky as a broadband provider, terrible quality broadband and so many problems. Absolutely disgusted at them!

Avoid!!! Even when it does work it is ridiculously slow, try and remember the days of slow dial up then slow it down again 40 times.
Then it goes altogether, coupled with the fact you need it to watch sky tv it is appalling.

Drops connection at least weekly. Sky blame BT and BT blames Sky. Signed up for line cost only for 12 months then £5 per month for Internet. Couple of months in the bill went up £5 but great news, I could now have free evening calls. I didn't ask for any calls as covered with mobile. After 12 months internet cost kicked in as agreed but cost now £7.20 extra instead of the agreed £5. Not large sums I know but I am annoyed that Sky will hold you tightly to the terms of the original contract but change the fees whenever they feel like it. Changing provider as soon as contract ends.

I discussed with Car PHone warehouse salesman I needed broadband and tv phone. I said i had cancelled my Talk Talk contract and had to make a decision quick so I did not lose broadband due to the fact I had put the cancellation through and due to my sons uni work which urgently required service. Now Sky ring me and tell me that I have to take the cancellation off from previous provider which means another months payment to them or lose my phone number and have a big delay in setting up my broadband. Great THINK VERY CAREFULLY BEFORE CHANGING PROVIDERS ESP TO SKY as I did not have this problem changing from Virgin. Also when you phone customer service you will have a massively long wait and their comment is that they cannot do anything about that so it is ok for us to have to pay huge bills to sit on the phone for half hour or more. Why is there not an email contact form for customers. I am bitterly disappointed in this as I do not have time to keep searching around and this seemed a good deal but obviously good deals are not always what they seem to be so buyer beware before you sign over. Now thanks to a useless salesman not telling me the facts before i signed up I will be left with no broadband and phone

What a terrible experience. After connecting the router the internet signal didn't work. Hours of conversations with different people and troubleshooting for 100 times. I asked please to send me someone for the first part of the morning (before 10, because i had to go to work) they guy called me at 12.30 and he was suprised I wasn't home. They just didn't care I was paying for a service I wasn't able to use. The started to call me when I sent the first email of cancellation. After 1 week of this life I tried to cancel and I had to send 3 emails and a 30 minutes chat just to confirm that I wanted to cancel. A nightmare.

Decided to review this right after regaining broadband connection, after it has been out for the past half hour. This is not the first time it has happened, in fact it happens quite frequently. At least once a fortnight. The upload speed is okay but download is pitifully low. I run a wireless connection which is two floors above the router, and I get roughly 18Mb upload speed, but a whooping 0.5Mb upload. I really don't recommend Sky.

Worst service ever, unstable connection and useless customer service.
The speed is ok when you have the signal.
Instead of spending a lot of money for crap advertisements they should focus on improving their services.
I am just waiting for Virgin Media to cable my street and I am done with them. Not impressed.
    Avoid like the plague!
