Broadband just about OK, but the email (etc) service is absolutely atrocious. It has been unavailable 7 times so far in October alone, sometimes apparently for planned maintenance but mainly unannounced outages.

I don't have a problem with broadband speed with Post Office. But I do have a problem with reliability. The broadband connection drops out for 10-15 minutes every day or so. Not sure if this is due to the Zycel Hub (AMG1302-T11C) provided by Post Office or their DSLAM (or mismatch between the two).

I signed up and was fool enough to accept their offer of a saver charge for Line Rental. It was a good offer financially. BUT. With one contract applied to the Line Rental for 12 Months and the Phone and Broadband charges on the contract for 18 months the PO puts itself financially in a win:win position ad. inf.. To top the insult they have - without telling their customers the cost - changed their Line Providers from BT to TalkTalk.
Cost incurred to leave this January is now: £77 Early termination of one part of contract OR Full Cost Line Rental for remainder of contract to July AND then to join another Line Provider you will likely be forced to go back to BT with a connection charge of £60.
Frankly I think it is underhand and I am disgusted as a customer that I was not treated better than that!

Utter Rubbish. What's the point of paying for something that drops out 3 or more times a day, and that's after having it for 8 weeks. I'd rather pay more and have something that works properly. Customer Service say they will call me back. We'll see.

Post Office Broadband rides on the TalkTalk network, so is privy to exactly the same problems as TalkTalk. Namely in my case its habit of dropping the connection *at least* once a day. As a person who streams almost all my media, this is very frustrating.
I'll be switching again when the contract is up.
TBH my speeds aren't too bad--they have run slow on occasion, but it's rare--and I've never had much reason to contact customer services, but their website kinda stinks when compared to something like SKY's app.

I asked for the line rental saver on initial sign up to a homephone and broadband deal, however when I looked at the bill I didn't get what I had asked for.

I then contacted customer service who said that they would listen to the call and what they said was I had never asked for line rental saver. This is a total lie since I always ask to pay line rental up front for the duration of the package or at least for the year.

What did they do? Was the end of the call deleted. Some customer service that is. you can be sure I am not going back after this contact is over.

Seemed to have parental content controls over my searches despite opting not to. Couldn't even see the lottery good causes pages. Couldn't log in to my account or get hold of anyone by phone. Now in the process of switching as my contract is up. Shouldve been 2 days ago. Post office however haven't relinquished my number despite a request from my new supplier 9 days ago. So my new service can't activate until they do. Funnily enough P.O. were on the ball enough to shut off my broadband 3 days ago though... stupid tactic as I usually return to good suppliers next time I switch. Not this time

The worst broadband service I've ever received. A soon as I switched over - the problems started. At the worst point I had no broadband for nearly 24 hours. Intermittent loss of broadband - I ended up purchasing BT pay as you go broadband because due to the lockdown, internet has become essential especially for the children who have remote education.

I don't even know where to start. We previously had to upgrade as the original deal we were on was absolutely useless and so slow. We then moved house and organised to have our internet transferred over. Supposed to be an easy switch. The day it was supposed to come on and it never did. We had no internet (whilst we're all WFH) for almost two weeks. During that time, they would tell us an engineer was coming on x day, we would wait all day for them and they would never show. We would call and they would just say oh sorry, it was never guaranteed, he's coming tomorrow. That happened three times. They sent a guy who came for 5 mins and said he couldn't do anything and we would need someone else. Eventually a lovely engineer came, said that clearly the guy sent before hadn't tried even the most basic tests. He was brilliant and was the one amazing part of this. Got our internet back up and running. Then, as well as not offering a refund for the time without internet, we have now been charged for £12 worth of phonecalls despite not having a home phone (which the engineer could confirm). We told them it must have been the engineer who was testing the line and they said 'yes, we can see on our system that the calls were to our engineering department'. However, they will not remove the charges and they have told us that we need to BUY a phone to check. SO RIDICULOUS!

Moved from BT as thought a better deal for unlimited broadband. Speed is very slow and I keep getting disconnected. Cannot access my account on line by my IPad as I do not have adobe flash player installed! Why do I need Adobe when all I want is to access my account and go paperless etc. Would not recommend and will change provider at end of contract

I had to leave PObroadband because of .5 Mbps speed!
but, IT WAS NOT THE FAULT OF POBROADBAND but BT who give out lines to their competitors, with too many subscribers on, therefore slowing down the speed.
BT this means BT have an unfair advantage and practise unfair market competition
    PO broadband did their best

Not a bad service the only thing that let's this company down is the fact that they harass you for payment even if it's a day late, they also seem to cut me off the day I pay my bill, but yet when I ring to ask when I'm being put back on again they made me wait for two weeks before my services where even put back on and still demanded payment for the weeks that I had no phone line and Internet. The staff on the phone lines are rude and not helpful at all. The broadband keeps cutting off and the speed of the Internet get slower but when I ring up I get told that it's a wiring problem and that it will sort it's self out when it doesn't. The only good thing about the post office is affordable

Switch over from fuel with no warning and didn't find out until internet stopped working.
When they couldn't fix it after hours on the phone I was left with no internet for a week while they sent a new router.
Internet works but cuts out frequently, after a week of this I rang them again and was transferred to a number of departments until it was decided an upgrade would solve this and a new router would be sent in 3-5 working days.
I waited 10 days and made yet another call to be told that my new internet wouldn't be going live until another week and had to wait for my router until then...
Over a month of this, it would of been easier and faster to cancel and find a new internet provider.

Very heartbroken by this provider, the internet stops every time it doesn’t work one day without stoping over 3 times and becoming slow.
They take customers very lightly and am one of them, they need to start being more professional & wide open.

I have had some drop outs but generally it works. The worst thing for me about POBroadband is their support via email, in that they either cut and paste a standard response to your issue or have staff that haven't actually bothered to read what you've sent them. This results in a response that is totally irrelevant. It's a bit like the Mony Python "Hungarian Phrasebook" sketch. I'd give no stars for email support if it were an option. Telephone support for the service itself, it is slightly better. The email front end is also rather clunky to use. I've asked numerous times over the last 12 months or more, where the online payment button has gone, and nobody has been able to answer the question to date. They really should improve in this "support" area. On a positive note they are fairly cheap so I guess you get what you pay for.

sent me a bill including missed appointment charge which was incorrect, they had full access but failed to keep appointments themselves. Wrote to them in March giving chapter and verse, they ignored my letter and sent me a threatening reminder. Sent a copy of my March letter by recorded delivery, they ignored that and cut the line off. Took an age to get through to customer support who were completely useless. Didn't have any record of my letters and just wanted me to settle the outstanding bill. Do not go anywhere near this shower, avoid at all costs

When it's working, I get good speeds of 10-14Mb, however it drops the internet connection at least 6 times a day, often up to 10. Each time it takes 2-3 minutes to reconnect. The actual DSL link stays up, just the internet (PPP) connection drops, so the line is fine. I suspect it's their low-end Zyxel router, which they've already replaced once to no avail. I had a similar experience with TalkTalk (the same network) previously, which was fixed by an upgraded router. Customer service are OK, but I always get the feeling they don't really know much about the technology theyre' supporting. Whenever I ring them I get the same series of things to try, including testing my WiFi (which is fine), even though I give them a clear description of the problem. They don't seem to be able to understand the difference between WiFi, DSL connection and internet service. I've told them if it doesn't improve in 28 days then I will be cancelling on the basis it's not fit for purpose and they refunded my first month's fee while we work on it.

The constant failures and shutdowns with your broadband are the main reason for my very low rating. I have never had this experience with any other company.
I am indeed surprised that your company still holds a licence to continue to run a broadband. The constant breakdowns and continuous apologies to those of us who are still hanging on in the hope everything will soon be sorted is wearing me and I am sure the few remaking customers down. You must surely realise that if the shutdowns continue it may be better for all, Customers and the Post Office to discontinue with Broadband completely.

When I first began with PO a few yrs ago they were ok...a helpful Welsh customer service. This yr my internet has been off for 4 out of 12 months with no compensation. It takes TWO HOURS to get thro' to them by phone. They NEVER return calls. They ask you if you want to do a customer survey after the phone call. I always press YES, but there has never been a customer survey...I'm not surprised they don't want to hear the truth about their appalling service.

Just been without a landline or internet for 16 days, all without explanation or adequate compensation. It took 13 days of recorded messages ("thank you for your patience") before we got through to a real person on the "customer care" line and an engineer was called.

I joined POBroadband in 2012. The speeds are not good but then I accept that I live very rural. The first router was crap with terrible wifi. I complained that I was getting a better wifi signal from my neighbours routers than the one they supplied. They changed the channel and I no longer had the problem from other routers but wifi was still crap so I had another moan and paid £30 for a more powerful router. This was marginally better but not great. I noticed that when I returned from a weeks holiday the service was intermittent so I rang again and they suggest I see a different IP address than the router. This turned out to be less secure on WPa and not WPA2 so my iPad showed a security error. Back on the phone and they blame the iPad update. So I tried to ngo into the router and change the security but the password had been deactivated. Then the prices went up this Sept for users nand at the same time I took a holiday and came back once again to an intermittent service. So I decide to jack them in after nearly four years. All I can say in their support is that the staff I spoke to were very helpful but were never really able to get to th ebottom of th crap wifi and intermittent service. I think that the PO are not moving forward with their service, not looking at its shortfalls and improving and certainly not providing decent routers. I have move to Sky on 7/11/2016 with fingers crossed for a better service. Customer care so far has b en encouraging.

How could Post Office have a bad service, on an Ookla Speed test, I only got 7-8 mbps from an Ethernet cable. We don’t use customer service, gonna rate it an average. We have been with Post Office for years which would have given them enough time to go through deals with us and hopefully improve the services but I guess all they want is money?? Post Office should stick with postal and money enquiries and leave the broadband market.
Oh, did I mention that it’s intermittent too? Once every week or so it will disconnect on us, we just wait it through. Would not recommend this provider. Don’t touch them with a barge pole. We are switching to EE, hoping they serve us better.

Reliability of the Post Office broadband service is pretty bad. It drops out every day or so for 10-15 minutes. It has just dropped for the 3rd time today. I don't know if this is due to the Zycel Hub (AMG1302-T11C) provided by PO or their DSLAM or mismtach between the two. PO BB Operations must be able to see these problems - I guess they don't care.

Do not sign up to this isp. Live in rural area and was with bt, Internet wasn't too bad but didn't like the price hence my thoughts to sign up with the post office. Worst decision ever! Speed of 0.5mbps, to update a game on ps4 told me 80hrs.
Was stuck with them for a month, had to go through a series of tests on a laptop to prove how bad the speed was and they finally allowed me to cancel. However even though they let me cancel I'd still payed £80 upfront and when asked for my money back I was told I would get a £5 good will voucher. So one months Internet which didn't work cost me £75.
To top it all off I got a call from someone claiming to be tech team from the post office who told me they would fix my WiFi. That took remote access of my pc, turned out to be a scam and I was robbed of further £100. Makes me wonder if post offices servers are hacked as these people knew full well of my technical issues.
Id never sign up to them again for anything. You get what you pay for most of the time and in this case it proved to be true. Don't be tempted by there offer £20 or not, you don't want to paying for something that is useless. Please avoid.

Switched to them about 3 weeks ago but unfortunately they have not managed to get broadband working. Currently only getting under 1mb and often not even that. Having to switch to another provider shortly. I must say customer service staff have been extremely helpful, patient and courteous at all times, unfortunately let down by the technology.

Broadband has been slow from the outset but accepted this as we live some way from a town. it appears that other providers are much quicker, even in our area too.
Customer service is also very, very hazy with disinterested and aggressive call staff.

I have stopped receiving emails for the last three and a half days to date. PO Broadband customer service said that it is due to maintenance and should be fixed within 24 hours. Some hope! They haven`t even informed their customers what had happened either via email or on their website. Absolutely abysmal service.

Not nearly as fast as majority of other providers. Inept customer service. Spend £5-10 more per month to get something worthwhile. The Post Office is an institution that deserves to fail

Please don’t bother, customer service is genuinely bad, they treat you with such contempt and as such they are the ones doing you a favour, lack of expertise and knowledge . You have been warned

I have never experienced such poor broadband. My connection cuts out multiple times a day, and is slow when it is working. I have also recently had the price I pay increased, for seemingly no reason. I have emailed and called and received absolutely no help, and most of the time they do not even bother to respond.

Absolutely awful broadband, and awful customer service.

Not impressed. Had the router delivered to my local post office as I didn't know if it would fit through my letter box, they promptly sent it back to the sender! Rang them and got them to send it to my home, knowing I would have to pick it up from my local collection centre, they left it behind a bin! Connected it, and now can't even check my lottery numbers, apparently 'it's a known problem'! Great if you work from home and can't access sites that you depend on. Not impressed.
