I applied for PO broadband as a result of the 17mb offer. Once installed I was getting between 2mb and 6mb. After repeated contacts with so called engineers I looked for another service. I chose Talktalk . The PO insisted that Talktalk could not better their speed. Guess what, I'm now getting between 35mb and 45mb.
What ever you do don't go with Post Office, their service and product is rubbish !

I used to be happy with post office until around a year ago then it was as if they just checked out and were replaced by robotic, uncaring, lazy, incompetent bunch of thieves! I am absolutely DISGUSTED at the way I have been treated as a customer on all fronts since they decided to nose dive to a deep cesspit with rock bottom service. My experience the last year has been a very negative one and I am still waiting to get to the bottom of the fault they charged me a colosssal amount for months ago without having fixed the problem or even telling me they were going to suddenly rob me out of my account!
AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Not worth the low price because the appalling connection and surrounding service makes it an utter waste of time. I rarely review but am doing so in the hope I can prevent someone facing the frustration I have gone through since using the Post Office

Shockingly slow "Premier Broadband". Used to get 4Mbps from BT, now getting 0.8Mbps from Post Office. It really limits what you can do. Customer service is non existent. Spent hours on the phone listening to their so called "music". Gave up in the end. No response to my emails either. I would strongly recommend one of the slightly more expensive options.

We used Post Office at our previous place which was fair and moved our subscription to Warminster. The download speed here is acceptable though less than what we pay for.
The UPLOAD speed is HORRENDOUS. On its best days it can do as low as 2 mbps, but from time to time it drops to 0.2 mbps. This is just ridiculous.
Raising tickets is useless, Post office closes them without touching anything.
I'm truly dissatisfied because that is unacceptably slow and unstable.

I'm absolutely disgusted with my post office service
2 weeks without internet dues to a fault on the outside of my property
9 phone calls
2 lots of waiting 72 hours for the engineer to fix the problem
Nobody has came
Every time I've called I've been fobbed off
Will they be expecting to bill to be paid in full of course they will
Costomer service is a joke!. Clear have no idea what they are doing

It ran decent for the first few months but now it crashes 4 to 5 times a day and its download speed is incredibly unreliable. I would give reliability a lower score if it let me,do not buy.

I changed over from sky because it was £10 a month cheaper. Big big mistake. Drops connection, expected speed 36Mbps mostly 16Mbps Unusable telephone due to crackling. This is a line fault. But cant be fixed due to the virus. I made a mistake and I'm stuck with this lot for another 11 months. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

Totally not fit for purpose. Came off Plusnet who were faultless but it prices up so thought I'd give these a go. Had non stop issues with connections dropping and poor speeds throughout. Had engineers out, done endless speed tests and finally they're giving me a new router! Will be leaving as soon as I can, never to return!
AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

Shocking. Rural area customer who regularly received 7mb with BT. I only receive that in the middle of the night with the Post Office, with evening speeds of less than 1mb.
Advised that they did not have the necessary equipment in the exchange to cope with demand, so I am able to leave my contract.
I found out after I ordered that a few other people on my street had ordered and cancelled due to poor speeds, so my biggest gripe is that they happily accepted my order, knowing they could not provide a service.

I’ve been on the ADSL service since November 2018, previously was on TalkTalk (TT). I’d say the customer service is arguably some of the best I’ve seen from an ISP (admittedly quite a low bar) and much better than TT – you can usually get through to the technical support team after only a couple of minutes and they do a much better job of getting an engineer out to you (1-2 working days I found). Also, they actually record the line quality your receiving and their technical personnel can see what’s been going on, so I never had any problem proving my line had issues.
HOWEVER, that’s about the only good thing I can say about the service. In terms of line speed and reliability it was equally as awful as TT. So many engineers came and went, we had new filters, a new socket, new cable, new pairs, new equipment in the exchange.. so much so that I’ve actually developed a fairly decent knowledge of the local internet infrastructure. And if you’re thinking, that’s probably just down to issues in your house/area, consider this, you may be in a similar situation:… a few of the Openreach engineers agreed that there are blackspots for ADSL… if you live a long way from the exchange and from the cabinet then you’re very likely to have the same kind of service (i.e. generally much slower linespeed than advertised and lots of faults on the line, especially after bad weather). For comparison, we live 300m from the cabinet and 1.5km from the exchange (as the eagle flies). More copper cable means more likelihood of faults. Their advice was to switch to a fibre optic service (but even then they qualified that with, it probably won’t be a faultless experience if, like us, you live a long way from the cabinet).
Another issue with PostOffice is that they haven’t signed up for the automatic compensation scheme like BT, EE, Sky and some others. So, as a customer you will have a small fight on your hands to get your monthly bill reduced, whereas you could have received £8/day and without even needing to ask for it. So, for 3 months of lost service on POs ADSL £15.90 line, they will merely credit you with ~£48, but other providers on the scheme would automatically pay ~£720, which might go further towards actually compensating you for all the calls, inconvenience of sitting in all day at home, mobile data costs etc.

FOLKS!!! For goodness sake, PLEASE don't go anywhere near these amateurs.
I did the very silly mistake of signing up to PO Broadband without doing any reviews. After 13 weeks of waiting for my service to be switched, I managed to rid myself of them and go back to my original provider.
The guys in customer service are very nice, but completely powerless. In the end, I had to completely loose my rag, demand I be put through to someone who would cancel my account and allow me to move back.
The Post Office, in general, seems to be in a terrible state. I visited the post office last week and noticed that the branches are disgusting. Such a shame such a great institution has declined. The powers that be will probably blame the government, the customers, the weather - anyone but themselves.
DON'T USE THEM!!!

Changed to po because bt almost doubled in price 5 weeks ago, I had problems from the start their useless router keeps dropping the connection also their router will NOT connect to my epson wireless printer after 3 weeks they told me I cannot connect to printer or local network with their router even though it clearly says I should be able to on their faq they told me to buy my own router now I cannot get them to give me the settings, also they do NOT reply in 24 hours as stated more like 7 days. AVOID AT ALL COSTS (It will cost you if you do).

I could not agree more with all the other reviews, I wish I had read the reviews before I switched. I get silly low speeds and frequent drop outs. Their response, whilst always polite, is to try to get me to upgrade to fibre (at no discount) which, for all I know, probably doesn't work as either and would trap me in an even more expensive contract. As it stands having endured 4 months of a 12 month contract it would cost me over £100 to escape. I am really kicking myself.

Don't ever have circumstances where you end up in arrears. Pay off most of your bill and they'll suddenly cut off your broadband without warning, then when you pay the last sliver of the bill, you won't see anything of your service for "up to 5 working days".
Fat lot of help when they can switch your net off at the drop of a hat, but it'll be a week before you get it back.
At 21 quid a month, I don't think I'll be keeping this service. The download speeds are dreadful - a small Xbox live game takes hours to download, and you can't do anything else whilst doing so...
Overall, I'd give lower scores, but decided to be generous.

I was switched from fuel broadband to post office broadband when the buyout happened. The assumption was that only the name of the provider would change but how wrong I was !!!!! Speed is up and down, never as fast or as stable as Fuel Broadband was and sometimes I just give up trying to watch netflix. Stuck in a contract, any way out?

I wish I'd never suggested this broadband provider to my partially disabled Mum. A nightmare from the beginning setting it up, and now we are into day 7 and she still has no broadband as they said that there is a BT outage problem affecting not just them, but other main broadband providers. I am going to negotiate trying to come out of the contract for her, all she needs it for is to send me an email and to do her food shopping. Very very poor experience, we are going to another provider.

This rant is the result of an 8 month build up culminating in an absolute **** show now that I am relying on using PostOffice broadband whilst working from home.
My stingy boyfriend changed internet providers last summer, as saving a couple of pounds a month makes a huge difference...
I was telling him at the time that "PostOffice" does, at least in my opinion, not stand for "innovative fast service", but more for "this will just do for your granny".
8 months into using their service, I can assure you that I would not even recommend this to anyone's granny.
So please, if you are considering changing your broadband provider to the PostOffice, D-O-N-T!!!!!

Currently watching an hours drama 30 seconds at a time with buffering of 30 seconds in between. I've complained
Numerous times. Apparently they are delivering service within stated paramaters - what a surprise - they are never in the wrong!!
Avoid - avoid - avoid!!! I'm going to have to pay a lot of £ to get out of the contract but it will be worth it - I've had enough!!

Never worked from day 1. Phone too crackly to use, internet never came on due to fault which they said was faulty routers (2!). Now they won't even answer my emails and trying to get 2 months bills off me through debt collection agency! Turns out I had a simple fault outside my property which BT found within minutes! Avoid them like the plague!

Honestly the worst broadband I have ever experienced. The broadband is constantly dropping out, the router keeps loosing the DSL connection so service is really patchy.
We keep getting told we are getting 13mb/s on our line but are seeing nothing like this on our devices, devices measure less than 2mb/s download a lot of the time.
Online gaming is generally not possible, internet TV is patchy with buffering needed. Horrible experience.
Have contacted post office to sort, BT engineer been round to check the line and it's all fine. Speak to post office about this and they are adamant there is no problem and refused to replace the router.
Previously with Vodafone and didn't have any problems whatsoever, could use multiple devices over wi-fi at same time. Now with post office and it's terrible, especially using WiFi for work.
We are currently trying to leave as we are citing they aren't fulfilling their contract but the want to charge us the remaining 9months of our contract to leave them.
We have now taken issue to the ombudsman.
Avoid at all costs and go with someone reliable even if they are a few quid dearer.

Basically its not fit for purpose if you want to put a bet on ... buy vape juice and the like !!! There is no "fix date" ... They are very apologetic about it .... but thats not a lot of good to me

Shocking. Speeds are slow. Many daily dropouts. Customer service is a joke - copy and paste Emails full of apologies and little else. Try calling them and you're waiting 30 mins to speak to someone & then immediately transferred to another 'team' who then take another 20 mins to pick up.
Clueless when confronted with an issue. Safeguard keeps blocking random webpages despite having Safeguard completely disabled on my account.

I have written to the CEO Tim Parker re my appalling service. Waiting for a reply. How do I find the names of senior shareholders as I plan to inform them of the really, really awful service. Have contacted POBroadband 45 times in 12 months. Their apologies are absolutely worthless. Indeed they are insulting. Must have had over 100 apologies! One single kept promise would be welcome
