The biggest disappointment in writing this review is that I have to award one star. EE don't deserve any stars at all. They expect you pay for a service they don't provide. Their technical departments level of knowledge is non existent. After over 10 hours on the phone over five days they produced no resolution. Everyday a different excuse - all lies. Use EE at your peril and only if your happy dealing with liars, robbers and cheats.

I haven't got as far as getting my broadband upgraded yet, but already I'm regretting getting started on this process. Appalling customer service, the worst I've ever encountered: no-one I've spoken to has any idea of what is happening, and I just get passed around and kept on hold for 30 minutes at a time. The on-line system doesn't even manage to send out the automated verification e-mail when I've tried updating my e-mail address. A no-stars performance.

Utterly shocking service. For well over a month now I've been getting broadband at the painful stagger rather than a healthy trot, and I've had to endure the horrors of EE's dire customer service four times. Every time I call I get a chippy, patronising voice on the phone who repeats the same excuses as the previous one, and then tells me that they will call me back. They never do. I experienced faster, more reliable internet on my dial-up modem ten years ago. Whenever I call up their "helpdesk" and hear the little voiceover saying how EE is the UK's "fastest, most reliable network" I have to restrain the urge to laugh bitterly. I'm heartily sick of having to deal with these chumps, and I'll be ditching them as soon as I've identified an alternate provider.

I was told by the salesman in the EE store that this service as as good as SKY 'WRONG'. I find the speed to be so slow at times that I can't wait for February when I can tell them where to shove it. if it was any slower this would be a letter. At times my speed has been as slow as 0.16 I can crawl faster than that. It is so slow I wouldn't even suggest it to my enemies. As for the call center all they do is pass you from pillar to post then resolve the issue for 2 days then hey presto back to square one I GIVE UP they're CR*P

An absolute con. If you are reading this, heed my warning. EE broadband could be the slowest most unstable connection I have ever had since the good old dial up days.

My girlfriend was targeted whilst walking through a market place by an EE rep who was situated at one of their promo stands. Not knowing much about tech or how the internet actually works, they told her how our current provider (sky) would ‘slow’ you down at peak times. Please bear in mind that we never had an issue with sky broadband, ever! She was told that EE was cheaper, faster and more reliable with no slowdowns at peak periods.

I was blissfully unaware that she was changing providers as I was planning to move in 2 weeks later. I am a gamer, so the internet is massively important to me. From day one, it was been consistently terrible. You can do one thing at once. Either play my game, or use the on demand service on our sky box. If we download one TV show from sky that’s it, no phone facebook or anything for the next 20-30 minutes whilst it downloads. Never had this issue with sky.

We contacted them and they said they did a test and ‘fixed’ our line. What a load of rubbish. I asked what they fixed and they just said it was ‘fixed’… It is still terrible and what is worse is the 18 month contract you a tied into. I would give anything to travel back in time and trip the EE rep up before getting to my girlfriend.

I have broadband and home 'phone from EE - When they first connected the phone line, I thought all was well, I was happily making calls and the BB although slower than anticipated was OK, after a week or so I did wonder why I wasn't receiving any calls and then a friend called my mobile to say that she couldn't get through on my landline.I contacted a barely comprehensible man on their technical service desk and eventually after a number of calls (don't believe them if they say they'll call you back) the problem was fixed.

3 months later the problem has returned but it is worse this time, if you call my telephone number the call is answered by a stranger, someone I don't know, they are presumably getting my voicemails as well. The ever unhelpful technical support agents have told me (again after a number of phone calls with uninformed time wasters - "Computer says NO") that to get it fixed I need to take a day off work for an engineer to visit my home.

I can make outgoing calls OK and the caller ID shows it is my number but having called my number I got to speak to a man who confirms that his number is not the number I dialled. This is so obviously a problem in the exchange or conceivably in the street cabinet, I don't know why I need to lose a days earnings for a 'phone repair that shouldn't require access to my home.

I am told that if I cancel my contract they will charge me £72, which for a service they can't provide seems ridiculous, actually it feels like theft.

Unless you are confidant that everything will be perfect with your EE products you be mad to have anything to do with this bunch of incompetents.

Absolutely the worst customer service experience I have ever had or could ever imagine.

Really bad, barely had it few day now and hardly had any signal from my broadband at all. I was promised of a good and reliable router with the signal speed of 19 to 23mbps, all I could get is 100 to 30kbps (old dialup strength) to put it bluntly it is dreadful considering I work in the video games industry which requires me use the internet to move and upload lots of data around. If anyone is looking wireless broadband I highly recommend you avoid EE's bright box simple horrible I only wished I stayed with BT I never had this problem with them.

EE broadband is absolutely rubbish. I only went with their broadband because I was renewing my phone contract at the time and they offered me a better deal if I went for their broadband. Worst mistake I could've made, I still have 1 year left in my contract and I'm better off using the 4G on my phone than connecting to my home broadband. EE customer service is absolutely useless and I would've give them the time of day. They messed up my phone contract, I've never been so frustrated on the phone until I spoke to them so I now refuse to ring up EE. It's a shame because their phone deals are good but I can't imagine myself staying with them due to such poor service. I cannot wait for my broadband contract to end so I go elsewhere.

I don't usually write reviews but felt compelled after the terrible service I received from EE. I waited 40 minutes, 50 minutes, over an hour on their 0845 number at 40p a minute and the problem was still not resolved. Finally sent out BT engineer and all was working when he left, ½ hour later it failed again and was told I would have to wait another 2 weeks for a BT engineer. I have had to use a dongle just to get on the internet. Now it keeps dropping so half way through a tv programme we lose it for a couple of seconds. When I complained and told them I wanted to return to SKY they said fine, just paid £250.00 buy out and you can go. So crappy service and they have me and others it sounds like over a barrel. Don't touch these people with a barge poll if you want constant internet service. 1 Star is way too much.

Disgusting service!!! Signed up for half price for the first six months of fibre.....get the first bill and am charged full price. Calmly call thinking they will see the mistake and sort it........get told to basically prove that was the offer or pay!!!! When asked why the confirmation email isnt on the system to verify i got told it was up to me to prove it not them. The billing department cant see the online offers. Same agent suggested in future i call and not sign up to offers online. When i pointed out online offers are usually better i got told that was my opinion. Really annoyed that some idiot has refused to help me and had the cheek to tell me she was providing the best possible service i just didnt understand that its not on the system and they cant just give stuff away!!!! What the f**k cannot believe how bad they are. Call backs from senior managers also take four working days.......most likely so you get fed up and pay!!! Steer clear...if you cant contact ofcom and raise a complaint!

DONT waste your time or money on ee Ive had nothing but problems with them, ive been on the phone approx. 50-60 times in 3 months the customer service is the worst company I have ever known they don't know what there doing and don't make notes when you phone back they've taken over £300 for line rental and then tried to take another £297 which I got stopped. so eventually I got the phone line and broadband cancelled but within 10 minutes phone line was cut off and all the money ive paid upfront over £300 I have lost. I would never recommend this company please AVOID

This is not a service it is a shambles. I have been having trouble understanding the support team. I have had the service for 5 days and not been able to access the internet. I have been told 3 different things by 3 different people from the support team. I have to wait 10 days for it to work properly! If I want to cancel I have to pay charges for something I've not had. I am not happy with this service. be warned you can never get through either.

Whatever you do don't move to EE. When you phone the 'biggest, fastest most reliable provider' you will wait 40 mins to get through to customer services. They capped my service so that I couldn't stream video content as well (the reason that I know this is that their support team in India told me on the phone!). All that I could see was the buffering symbol.
I phoned their customer service team and was put through to their UK customer service team and someone who knew nothing about 'customer service'. He was rude and abrupt. After the call he put a stop to my service even though I did not request this. It will take approx 4 days for them to get the service back up and running. I would not recommend EE to anyone. I was with Sky before and I wish I had stayed with them.

It is cheaper than BT, and faster than BT too (moved to fibre, and i still cost less). BUT I've been calling them non-stop for five days now (well, once approximately every hour) to get help with a technical issue. Every time I have had the message "There is currently no-one available to take you call <disconnect>".

I was promised many benefits if i were to switch over too EE. I mainly changed for their apparently 'amazing internet' EE quoted their fibre broadband would give me a download speed of up to 38mb/s but after i joined, made the payments and got the box, set it up by this time the 14 day cancellation was up. So the first thing i done was check my download speed. I only get a mere 4.2mb/s and the internet cuts out a lot I can barely use the wifi on my phone anymore.

JUST AVOID EE AT ALL COST, VIRGIN and even SKY do better deals.. wish i went with virgin

Retro style is fashionable in many areas, one can buy retro cars, clothes, furniture even wallpaper.
Lovers of nostalgic styles will be happy to note that EE have now launched their retro internet package. With EE "Broadband" you can now experience the internet as it was in the good old 1990's with abysmal download speeds and repeated dropped connection for seemingly no reason what so ever. hurrah I hear you say, for how long has the word buffering been missing from our lives. The excitement of waiting for a simple email to open, the near stalling of your connection when six o'clock approaches. Its all back with EE's internet package unfortunately they seem to have missed out the old 56k dialling tone which is a shame but otherwise its the complete experience of historical internet access.

I joined EE broadband about 2 months ago and was promised my speeds would not go below 16,I was told if it did I wouldn't be charged, both these promises haven't been upheld. I'm barely making 9. I will soon be showing my contract to a legal advisor as nothing has been done even though I have been contacting EE regarding this. Very unhappy and will be cancelling my contract unless action is taken and bill for useless broadband is repaid back

Broken promises and lack of communication. 6 weeks after signing up I still have no broadband service. It was supposed to take 10 working days. I've spent massive amounts of talktime on hold, whilst trying to find out what's going on.

Eventually I cancelled. A couple of days later I get a text telling me the phone line is connected. Now I'm being passed around from pillar to post again, trying to find out what they are playing at.

    Awful service

Why complain about bad service or rude and useless call centres just cancel your direct debit to this company, what can they do.If they are not providing the service promissed in the contract, get in touch with the Office of Fair Trading and The Ombudsman, they will soon change their tune. I keep recordings of ALL contacts with companies who do dealings in a similar way as this company, reading the transcripts of a great # of your printed revues it makes me wonder about the mentality and gulabillty of a lot of people dealing with this company. Just tell them to get lost in plain English (they will understand that even in India).

Whilst the call centre staff are always pleasant and helpful the underlying product is a complete waste of time. Connection drops regularly and speeds are a joke, just barely above the minimum where the contract would be in default (and then only because of a technicality where they measure to your home but not what you can actually access) I will never use their service again and would urge people to never fall into the trap of using their service no matter how good a deal it seems you are getting. Also after 3 cube engineers and 3 open reach engineers I have yet to have one turn up with any notes on my problems in spite of laboriously explaining them all in detail multiple times.

Worst customer service and support I have ever experienced.

I was supposed to be connected as I moved in to a new flat but they had connected me to the wrong Exchange so I had to wait 10 days before getting internet. After 3 weeks my broadband was cut off, it took them 3 days to work out that BT had disconnected me for "unknown reasons", promised to get me reconnected, after 1 week of no contact I phoned and was told nothing had been done about reconnecting me so they would action it immediately. After all this it is 2 weeks later and I still have no broadband and they have no idea what is wrong. Don't bother with them.

I tried to download a film from sky today, and it took me 3 1/2 hours to do so, so I rang ee technical support, at least 6 times, as each time I called they disconnected the call, when eventually I managed to speak to someone, I was told I should have tried a speed test at the same time, I told them I can't connect more than 1 device to there bright box without it slowing right down, and crashing, no response, he then said I never told him that I couldn't,t connect more than 1 device at a time, well obviously I did, there answer was we will send you a new bright box. I would not recommend them to anyone, I have been with them just over a month, and wish I had never left sky broadband, I could connect 4 things at a time, and downloads took about 10 minutes!!! Avoid ee like the plague, useless company and useless customer services!!!!

No idea where to start, intermittent failures for almost 4 months. Closed incidents without agreement that problem was solved, no call backs when promised. No response to complaints. With so much shocking service they offered £30 compensation ( only when pushed). I’ve accepted yet still waiting an update. Will leave as soon as I can get the release current contract.

EE consistently keeps dropping and loosing wifi connection. I bought a smart tv few months ago and only used it once to watch catch up because it's persistently goes off and looses the programme. I also watched Netflix and it's impossible to watch a movie. After 5pm their download speed drops to almost nothing - they do advertise that they drop download speed but I didn't think it would be this bad ie difficult to watch a YouTube clip.
My router is in my lounge..I loose wifi in my bathroom (8meter away) and loose wifi in my bedroom(15 meter away).. I had to buy another router for upstairs. It ain't the area I love in because all internet providers I've had in the past have been fine in every room. It's basically EE's connection. I've called them a few times but given up as I keep hearing the same answers. Basically I'm stuck with this horrendous service!

BT had become too expensive; have them the chance to sharpen their pencil. BT offered EE as a better priced alternative (since learnt that BT will soon exit this market and be replaced by EE). New service live 4th April. 2 decent days. Rubbish ever since. EE arranged for an engineer to show 8/4 am. Sat in all morning (then all day). No show. Unable to tell me why no show or when they will arrive. Omni shambles

Stuck in a 2 year contract... slowly coming to an end :)
Worst broadband service we've ever had.
First of all in our area you can barely get a stable 25-30MB/s connection. Second, is not at all reliable with random disconnections and router restarts throughout the day. Having to pay just over £30 for this is disgusting when we know as soon as Virgin is gonna be on the street the price is gonna drop massively due to competition. So, Monopoly at it's best. Virgin does stable 50MB/s down the road for just £21 a month.
I cannot wait the moment when I'm gonna ditch EE for something better, fairer and cheaper.

I have used several ISPs, definitely broadband with EE is the worst one!!! being on fibre optic with them I had same physical speed as on DSL broadband- had to wait for streaming on youtube even had to refresh some of the web sites as they haven't display correctly- have downgraded to DSL- during this process they have cut me out of the Internet for week time- customer service is useless!!! provided service is horrible!!!- waiting till and of my unlucky contract and will go for other provider- avoid EE for all cost. Also- they says unlimited- is not true- you can't use P2P software during peak hours- thats mean you are limited for P2P from something like 9am till 2am so service is unlimited for 6h only!!!! even their policy says 4.30pm-1am (typical peak hours)- lies!
advertising them self as a biggest UK ISP- they should add: biggest and worst....

I was told that ee would facilitate everything to make my move from BT to EE easy and pain free.Sadly it's been anything but. After 2 months and 3 missed connection dates finally they worked out they couldn't provide the fibre optic package I'd been sold!customer service is shocking, I've been on hold for up to 2 hours. If you phone to take out broadband the call is answered immediately, not if you phone to ask about your installation.
If you get cut off, due to the poor EE signal on my phone, they NEVER call you back. It's now 3 months, still no broadband and they haven't even contacted me to advise/discuss my new billing on non fibre optic...what a shambles. I have no confidence that they will connect me on the 2nd...only 3 months after they disconnected me from BT!! Maybe less money spent on Kevin Bacon and more on staff and their training. Appauling doesn't even begin to cover it.

Slow connection speed, high delay and constant disconnects. Plus its an expensive 4G contract. Very close to the mast so not a radio issue.
