Utter trash, avoid at all costs.
None of the technical support that you will get to talk to have any real idea about how Internet infastructure works outside of the general help booklets they receive to help them with the majority of low level issues.
Draconian TMP's leading to horrendous (and I mean utterly moronic) latency spikes, short term dropouts and packet loss to every service imaginable because as stated before - whoever set up their Net Inf in the first place must have been a tool, as in - an actual tool, like a wrench or screwdriver with the most basic of cognitive functions.
If you are in desperate need of a stress enhancement tool, or a reason to really let off some steam - apply today for EE broadband.
If however you are a sane, normal human being - avoid them like the bubonic plague and act like it's the mid 1300's.

PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS BROADBAND!!!
I signed up to the broadband, and it was a complete disaster. When I tried to cancel it, I was put through different people and they were rude, and dismissive. Guess what? You can't cancel it until after 1 month, or else you have to pay over £100. I'm going to contact watchdog, because this simply cannot go on.

The internet speed is ok in my area , but the it is the customer service that they have got to improve. Service is bad . The operator will often transfer your call & make u wait for a very long time ( more than 10 minutes ).

Switched from Sky to save some money, bad idea.
The no-downtime was actually 12 hours with no communication from EE. One business working day gone.
We are currently receiving less than 50% of the speeds obtained with Sky.
Spent over one hour on the tech support line where we had to explain how broadband works because they did not understand even basic terminology.
Finally got them to increase the IP Profile Cap although we are still no receiving a good speed. Throughput is terrible. Online gaming and streaming worthless.
In conclusion:
Poor broadband service
Useless Indian based tech support who admitted to having no techinical training and therefore couldn't help.
General poor customer service.
Crap no brand router
Avoid.

The most pathetic broadband ever. I'm so frustrated by the constant disconnections, ruins all my progress. takes hours and I mean literally hours before someone answers the phone if you want to make a complaint. They promise call backs but yet to receive one. Regretting my decision to leave BT.

Absolutely disgusted. I have made a deal on 19/05/2016 for fiber optic broadband and phone line. Phone line swapped from BT to EE on 04/06/2016. Than I was waiting for the broadband. They send an ADSL router but settings were for fiber optic. Than I spend at least two hours every day to call them. explained them about their mistake, took all the apologies possible and than they said it will take 5 working days to have a new router. Finally arrived but surprise: same ADSL router wit the same settings for Fiber Optic broadband . And of course not working on my line as the previous one. So I called them and I have cancelled everything. Few days later a direct debit from my account as payment for the broadband. I called the bang and I asked for an indemnity claim for the full amount.

If I could give them -stars I would! After signing up with them in January and being installed I have had nothing but problems, my activation date was the 24th of February and then the 25th of February because of a problem (still didn't come on) I then rang and was put on hold for ages and passed from person to person 5-6 times to people I couldn't understand and then people I couldn't hear they then said that there had been a problem and that it would be active on the 4th of March and then I went through all the process again with the holding talking to people and explaining again and again to then be told activation would be on the 12th no reason given even tho I asked, then come the 12th again not on so rang again and again through the same processes again and then told the 17th, the 24 (today) still not on now they are saying the 10th of April I demanded to speak to a manager and had to wait for a call back and have just got off the phone to him and he has said that be will be fast trackin my order (after waiting this long you would hope so)!!!! And he has now said that it should be on within the next 3days! We will see what happens then because let's face it probably won't be on even by the 10th!!!! I won't be waiting anymore they have 3days or I am finished! Good luck all those who are with EE (*the fastest most reliable network*)!!!!! Lol xxxx

AVOID EE AT ALL COSTS! Been with these robbers for 2 years now and Unfortunatley been away a lot so not been able to cancel the contract. The initial price was £16 a month which has now randomly risen to £30 a month for broadband alone and although it is named 'unlimited' there is NOTHING unlimited about it, it takes around 15 attempts to actually connect to the box and then after every 30 mins it cuts out and then works on and off every 10 mins or so. Absolute crap! Whenever I call the customer service I can barely understand the operator which is just embarrassing for me and the operator. Not only that but they do the same thing every single time 'let me check your internet speed' which you have to use a laptop or pc for so I have to dig that out (we only use tablets and mobiles) and miraculously after an hour or so on the phone they speed up the connection, well until the next day that is! It's an absolute rip off they sell limited broadband as unlimited by simply cutting it off randomly to minimise their costs.

I originally signed an 18 month contract for superfast fibre broadband with ee. Never satisfied with the speed, even after their engineer visited,(they tried to charge me for), after 18 months decided to trf my broadband, only to be told by other providers my telephone wire could not deliver 78mb. arguing that It can, cause im paying for it, I decided to test my download and upload speeds... 5 to 10 download, a bit better for upload.
At this time ee decided to call me , to ask, how happy I was about my upgrade and renewal contract. I thought the guy was not from ee as I didn't renew my contract. Any way it turned out he was genuine, and he agreed, testing at his end, I was only getting 17 something or other, which was very low, and cant be fibre, (that's why I thought him a fraud). I now contacted ee, saying ie...im getting 5 to 10, someone claiming from ee says im getting 17, which is very low, explain. The lady said, ermmmmmmmmm doesn't seem you getting fibre at all. ( later now 14/10/15) I think I understand why.* When they talk you through the process, you have a choice of ???? and fibre, I wasn't given that advice, so all along I was not on fibre...
They agreed to refund me £110, which is only 1 years of charges they charged me. (not the 2 years I was with them), But agreed to £28 per month, with two months free, for the extra year they owed me, being £10 less than I would have paid in the past. Holding me to randsom, so to speak. They should have said, sorry, we charged you for two years for a service you could not receive, ie between firbre and super fibre...here is 220 refund, then they should have said, we owe you the difference from 17mb to fibre, so here is some extra money for a service you did not receive. I had in the mean time needed to cancel with sky, my new chosen provider, to ensure I got at least some money back.
I received a text message, saying my new switchover to their basic fibre was ready, Took day off work to be ready...Only to be told .ermmm by midnight. Next day 10 am no internet...called to be told and given a ref number, it to be escalated and someone will call back at 12, they never did. I called at 1.30 to be told, expect a call by 3pm.I called at 4 to be told, expect a call next day. called customer services, to say if im not connected tonight, I will leave, as I will not take a 3rd day off work.
Just so happens my boarder works for sky, and my son in law, father works.........for guess who????????? Came over to see if I was doing something wrong.........NOPE, not me. EE, just had not switched me over to the new router. My friends, reinstalled my old router, which I am using to type this message on.
So why text and email me, I am now switched over, and they will monitor me for the next 10 days? Why bother to pretend there is a tech fault when there isn't one? obviously there isn't one,as im now rehooked up to my old router and system...Ref number for ee complaint to be sescalated at 10 am is1725837, no one called at 12pm, then to be told at 3, again no one called, to be told they call the next day. NO WAYS AM I TAKING A THRID DAY OFF WORK.

I've been with EE for nearly 2-3 years. The broadband itself has always been fast even when many people were in the house. There were many times, however, that the connection would cause so much disruption with high ping during gaming. It wasn't consistent. Until finally the router or cabling itself is faulty. We tried contacting customer service for a week, never had an answer. For a week me and my family suffered ping from 100-5000ms. Download speed was average 4-8mbps. We couldn't be bothered to spend $40 over monthly for such poor customer service and internet. Glad we changed from EE.

This EE company should just go bankrupt. with the service they are providing, plus the enormously slow internet speed. They seriously don't deserve getting pay by the customers . Im on a plan with 15 pound per month, with internet speed of 20 mbps. which im only getting 10 mbps normally. the worst is that I sometimes get internet speed below one mbps. which is equivalent to no internet. So i am just warning the home broadband buyers. Please never go for this broadband, or you are just wasting your money.

Absolutely diabolical. Painfully Pathetic speeds almost every day all day. A regular speed test on multiple sites shows an average of 0.17mbps down and 1.6mbps up which is slower than dial-up back in the 90's. How they can call this the "fastest 4G" in the UK is beyond belief. Simple sites like Google can take up to 2 full minutes to load, any kind of streaming/watching videos is next to impossible even at the lowest picture quality due to the constant buffering/pausing. Customer service is a laughing stock. Each time I've called to complain I get the same old excuse "restart your router", "the mast is down" blah blah blah. Always claiming there is no problems in my area but clearly there is.
It's just not worth it guys. They will lure you into a contract with the false promise of "great speeds" and "top quality service" and then once they have you tied in you will start to quickly experience problem after problem and they won't give two pennies about your service as long as they are grabbing your monthly payments. Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere.

Been with EE for over 3 years for internet, I started on a basic £17pm package on an 18 month contract. My speeds were/are abysmal, topping out at 15mbps on a good day but this was manageable. Once my contract was up, I started to pay £22pm on a rolling contract (OK, I guess new customer deals not applicable for me anymore) that's fine. Forward to January 2020, without informing me at all, my monthly price had shot up to £32pm.... For 10mbps! The problem with this is not only am I paying fibre optic prices for low speeds, but they didn't even tell me. Currently, its July 2020 and I have over £100 of debt on my account! I explained it to them but they seemed disinterested. I set up a payment plan to clear the balance. However, immediately after getting off the phone to them, I realised my speeds had been restricted to less than 1mbps (pretty much unusable) I called them up to discuss this and they said there was nothing they could do. Believe me when I say: Never trust this provider. They will over charge, increase bills without telling you and restrict your already weak Internet service. I don't know how they continue to get customers with this business model. Absolutely the worst ISP I've ever had contact with, avoid at all costs. They will rip you off, especially once you are a loyal customer. I'm pretty disgusted with them and I'm writing this on as many review websites as possible so more people are aware of their scams. Beware!

Into my 3rd month of an 18mth contract. One of the original emails from EE guaranteed a min 30mb download speed...70% of the time this is OK, but I have noticed that this frequently drops as low as 5MB download rate in the evening, despite multiple resets and calls to customer service, it still continues....I would suggest that this probably breaks their own terms and conditions and I will be seeking to break free of my contract as soon as I can....£27 per month for 38mbps ADSL to fibre cabinet with unlimited data......not good enough.

I got my act sorted when told that fsnet will be discontinued end of May and signed up to Gmail and sorted well in advance only to find orange / Ee continued the server until today which caused some problems this last month but today I have not been able to send or receieve emails and was told when I phoned 10am that by 6pm all should be fine. A busy day running a business with no email and now just finished 9.30pm and no one available to talk to. Nice some can finish early and leave behind faults and poor customer service until the next day. What do I do in the meantime unable to run my business...and where is my refund of months payment of poor service, if I treated my clients like this and just 'walked off' leaving problems on a very important change-over day, I wouldn't exist. I would have thought all working through the night to make sure the inconvenience caused to customer resolved....

I am quite happy with EE's service. Speeds are close enough to the advertised 76mb.
Negatives are that I had BT before and they were almost flawless. Every now and then late at night, EE's service disconnects for 10 minutes or so, which is very irritating.
Also their offer of free Norton Security Premium is nonsense, as the process to get it does not work and neither EE, nor Norton have a solution. This is false advertising.

I felt I had to leave a review, as my own experience with EE Broadband has been very positive. I think it helps that my house is fairly close to the local exchange, and my phone line was installed only a few years ago (the previous occupanats had Virgin and the BT line had been cut out). Do not underestimate how much difference good quality cabling and filters make to your broadband experience. The speed estimate for my property is 14.0Mb, but I generally get a real life speed of 16-18Mb, which I'm very happy with. Before EE I was with Sky, and before that 02. Neither of those services were as quick or as reliable as EE has been.
As an extra little known benefit, they do a 12 month line rental saver, like BT do (or at least did). If you pay 12 months in advance you save at least 10%, and they also give EE mobile customers £5pm off, and will do good deals if your contract is running out.
In my case it was £132 line rental per year (equivalent of £11 per month), and then I pay only £5 per month for unlimited broadband, unlimited landline calls and 1000 minutes to any UK mobiles.
And no, I don't work for EE!!

The worst provider I have ever used and I should have known better. Even mentioning "EE" and "broadband" in the same sentence sounds odd, unless the words "slow", "painful" or "mindbogglingly bad" are also used.
The speed; my mind was blown at how bad internet speed can be. 75% of the time I can't even watch 240p YouTube for more than 3 seconds before it has to buffer. I have had to give up trying to play any game online because the speed is just so bad. Speed tests show results of 100kb per second. I would have more success carrying the data packets to and from the server myself than have EE do it.
Customer service said they would send someone within 3 days to fix the speed issue, took 7. Didn't fix it and said they'd be back in 2 weeks to sort it out. They said something about BT screwing up the line.
Ill give them this, EE are reliably bad. Well done lads. The worst reviews for broadband I've seen and know I know why.

Simply put, this so called broadband provider is ripping off every single person they can, and if you ever have a problem, then be ready for the battle cause they will not try to find a solution for you
Very poor provider, the worst customer service i've ever talked to, and countless of mistakes they've done to take my money without me knowing is ridiculous.
NEVER AGAIN will EE take my money.

Avoid like the bubonic plague. I opened two contracts out and internet is slow as slugs. Issue cannot be resolved by the internet so you have to call and speak to them. Intercut cuts off and slows down very annoying, tech team can't do much as well. Really don't know what to do feel like I've been scammed. Don let fall for the cheap price if you u get is a rubbish connection.

I have had some bad broadband in my time but nothing compares to this. Almost all the time it takes forever to download emails. No chance of downloading a complex site and as for videos then just forget it. Yes! It is That Bad!!! No responce from their excuse for a customer service department. Just so bad. Just a scam. It is like going to a petrol station, filling up with and paying for 10 gallons of fuel, only to find that you actually have half a pint.

Not even worth one star.
EE has to be my worst experience ever as a subscriber to a broadband service. My connection fluctuates from 0.11 ?Mbs up to just under 17 Mbs. The upper speed would be great if it were consistent enough to actually use.
I believe it is over subscribed and the contention ratios are too high. EE come up with every excuse under the sun but incredibly it's NEVER there fault. I would have a degree of respect for them if they could just admit it. I was going to switch my mobiles to EE but frankly they are the last company I will use now. IF I can find a legal way out of my contract it's exactly what I will be doing. If I can't then I will default and see them in court. PLEASE save yourself AVOID , WET STRING WOULD WORK BETTER
