Customer sevice is shocking, i ordered fibre broadband in march, i was connected in april without any change to my speed, only getting 2 mbps download and 0.37 upload.I called cutomer service who took me through all the tests they could offer,i was told to wait for 48 hrs while they done checks, i called them back went through all the checks again, still no improvement, this carried on for 2 weeks i call them they say they are looking into it. I called to cancel but they kept putting me off by saying give it a month and we will get it sorted and they would not charge me for that month. I left it for just over a month, my download speed had increased to 9 mbps and upload 4 mbps, but they had guaranteed me 27 mbps download speed,i called customer service they again made me go through all the checks again, by now i'm just about sick of all the crap they keep giving me. I asked again to cancel, they told me i had left it longer than a month before i called them back and was told if i wanted to cancel i would have to pay them just over £250.00 or have a BT engineer visit, after being told that and already been let down 2 times before by BT, i tried my best to tell them i still wanted to cancel, their attitude on the phone stunk, they were very adament i had to pay the £250.00 or have the engineer visit. I opted again for BT to visit and was told if the engineer could not speed up my broadband, then i would have to wait for another month before i was entitled to cancel for free. This time i asked for an exact date to call them if i need to cancel. I am now waiting for BT to visit, i would still like to get the best speed but on the other hand i wish i could tell them where to shove it. PLEASE AVOID EE BROADBAND.

The worst company which I ever dealt with. If you have a problem you need calling, calling and calling..., than asking, asking and asking...., than begging, begging, begging.... and finally you have got NOTHING. Overall: EE service is below ANY standards.

EE have been really frustrating to deal with. I have been a customer for 20 years, they can never help with my data issues and instead they ring to sell me more products. Really disappointed.

The speed of the fire is terrible, I dread to think what normal broadband is like, constantly cuts out for no reason, I have been with sky, talk talk, virgin and EE are by far the worst provider I have ever been with. Id rather go back to dial up, stay away, if your looking for cheap broadband go with talk talk or plus net. Just awful connection and speed.

Our broadband service cuts out constantly; approximately 6-8 times a day! We have tried phoning EE to see if they can sort it but they just tell us that they'll give us a free month as a way of making it up to us. Honestly, we're just waiting for our contract to expire so we can change providers. Honestly; look elsewhere for your broadband

BE WARNED A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY! AVOID EE. Finally come to an end of a 12 month contract with EE and it has been the worst home broadband company I have had the misfortune of dealing with. Unable to use any device at anytime for the past 12 months and have spent hours/days going through the same test procedures with Indian call centre who on over a dozen occasions was promised call backs that never happened. I finally spoke to a UK call centre who couldn't have cared less. Thankfully I have unlimited tethering with Three mobile so I could work from home on a faster 3G signal than the broadband I was paying for. I was was with a company called Primus before with no problems. Poor beyond belief and unable to exit my contract unless I paid in full for the remaining term! AVOID

When I first joined It was called Orange home broadband and the connection was really good along with the customer service. Then they changed to EE and just like their mobile broadband service its gone down hill. India call center staff are rude they cut the line. I had to go through the same fault diagnosis each time i call in for the same fault. I emailed customer services with a complaint and told them i wanted out. They do not know their ass from their elbow as i was given 2 months free broadband as a credit by one customer service person and lwr our of my contract with out being charged by another. goes to show they do not read noted on the account. My mother is having the same broadband issue as me with it cutting out ans slow speeds. Some websited think i am outside the UK. All i will say is stay away from EE.

If you have the misfortune of getting the Indian call centre (ICC) EE customer service are painful. A call will take twice the normal amount of time it would otherwise.
Connection was awful - broadband kept buffering on all devices
After calling to complain the ICC cut the connection for our BB completely.

Terrible connection issues continually for almost 14 months now. Continually cutting out with download speeds of a shocking 7.42mps as measured by BT speed test and upload speeds of 0.67mbps. Sick to my stomach of the EE spiel saying they are the best company yadda yadda, total rubbish! Post office Broadband provided a far more reliable service with consistant speeds of 17mbps for a single house which catered for around 4 devices with no trouble. I can only connect one with the EE contract and it is still cutting out. £20 a month for this so yes I am fuming!! They also guarantee at least 10mbps so they have fallen short of their own contractual promise! Aiming to take this further, such a rip off!

I would like to say how disappointed I am with EE.
I have reported faults several times and kept getting fobbed off. On my third call an engineer was booked. I received a text confirmation almost immediately. I was not surprised no one turned up.
You sent me a text survey in which I slated your help desk. You did not respond to it.
As a result I have switched providers.
True to form you have not been in touch once since, you have even cancelled my broadband 3 days before the new one starts!
Rest assured my grievances will be posted on any public media site I can find and will be advising as many people as possible to stay clear of EE.

Used EE for phone installation and broadband in new build property due to outstanding value (unlimited broadband, free weekend calls, prepaid line rental discount, £100 Amazon voucher, half price line installation, free Norton anti-virus means I only pay £5.66 month). Slight issue with initial online order where only phone was setup, but customer support honest enough to admit their error and broadband followed initial phone line installation 7-days later. BrightBox router easy to setup. ADSL speeds OK for my distance from phone exchange; I only need eMail / web / software download / YouTube so ~6Mbps adequate. Cannot fault the value and so far service has been reliable

Do not get if you are a business owner or freelance worker!!!
I purchased EE broad band switching from sky-
(BIGGEST MISTAKE I COUOD HAVE MADE!!)
EE connected me to the internet 4 days late; after I had phoned them 4 times, on two of my call they hung up on me.
After being connected 2 days my wifi box was stopped working. After hours on phone they said they would send a replacement in 3 to 5 working days. One week later I had not received it. I called them up again to discover they had not sent it. A week later it arrived.
My business spice switching has lost £1000s in lost services and unspeakable amounts in lost customers.
If you like me are a business owner. EE WILL NOT COMPENSATE FOR LOST PROFIT.

CALLED EE TO UPGRADE 2 PHONES ON MY ACCOUNT. AGENT ASK IF I WOULD ALSO CONSIDER CHANGING MY BT BROADBAND SUPPLIER TO EE, TOLD ME ABOUT COSTS AND HOW SEAMLESS THE PROCESS WOULD BE SEAMED REASONABLE.
TODAY, THE BROADBAND SERVICE DIED.
CALLED EE TO FIND OUT WHAT HAPPENED, THEY BLAMED BT FOR TURNING SERVICE OFF EARLY ANF THAT IT WOULD TAKE 10 DAYS TO RECONNECT.
IF YOU NEED THE 'SEAMLESS' TRANSITION THAT WAS PROMISED, PLEASE AVOID IT, OTHERWISE YOU MAY FIND YOURSELF WITH THE LACK OF CONNECTIVITY I'M NOW FACED WITH AND I RUN A BUSINESS THAT NEEDS A RELIABLE SERVICE.
i SHOULD HAVE ADHERED TO THE OLD PHRASE, IF IT AINT BROKE, DONT FIX IT.
EE BROADBAND SWAP WITH EXISTING ISP,.....STEER CLEAR!!

The consistency of service provided by EE is absolutely shocking I get a better speed using my neighbours wifi than I do using my own, it's nearly as bad as the barley operating 3G service I receive on my 4g contract,
Sometimes the broadband is so poor I end up tethering my phone ( maybe that's why they gave me moor mobile data)
Do yourself a favour and don't bother with these muppets

I am writing this as a balancing exercise, reviews are often biased towards negatives as those experiencing poor service feel the need to share their issues whereas those experiencing a quality service just take it for granted (the service is just as it should be) and make no comment.
My own personal experience of EE has been good speeds and very reliable.
Customer service though rarely used has been prompt and efficient.
A recent fault resulted in crackling on the phone and seriously reduced broadband speed.
This was correctly identified as a fault on the local loop and passed by EE to Openreach for a home visit.
It was resolved in a few days, the fault being located as a bad joint on the outside of the house where the underground service cable had been extended to continue to the master socket.
The only other issue I have had in my years with them was a loss of internet for 2 days, but that affected multiple ISPs across most of northern England and wasn't under their control.

This is a pre installation review. The ee app doesn't work and automated emails failed to arrive. The irony that a telecommunications company can't send emails and order tracking that doesn't work isn't lost on me. I thought I was signing up for BT but got EE broadband. BT you have made a terrible mistake linking up with this company

PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!
Possibly the WORST customer service experience ever received. Very poor communication skills to new and existing customers with their initial offers and then additional charges everywhere which they never tell you over the phone. You then call to rectify MANY TIMES of which you are always assured its sorted only to find the following month you are charged at rates your not expecting!! Tried to leave as I though a 14 day trial period should start from when your ACTUALLY have the product to use only to find that due to having to wait 3-4 weeks for the broadband to be activated actually counts to your trial period....... work that one out?!?!?!?!?
Just literally waiting for the next thing to have to waste my time on the phone to them about the next c$*k up they make.
To top it all off, the actual product of the broadband is very poor quality and very slow.
As soon as my 12 month contract is up, I'm off!!! They couldn't give it away to me if they tried!!!
DREADFUL BROADBAND PROVIDER AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

Our experience of EE is dreadful. When we signed up we were given a switchover date of December (before Christmas). Came the day and it was delayed into January but as BT had been given notice, BT stopped our broadband so we were left without broadband despite EE's claim that the switchover can be done seamlessly. When I complained to EE and told them that I relied on the service to access my business emails they told me that to use it for business was illegal and that anyway I would just have to wait 7 / 10 days until they could connect me to EE's broadband. I got on to Ofcom who gave me the number EE's head office and got the switchover sorted with a loss of broadband service for just a couple of days. When we did get connected, the service was so iffy we found it unusable - it was slow, kept cutting out usually when writing emails or preparing messages on Ebay or Facebook so we would loose the messages before they could be sent. I can tell you I was in the doghouse with "her indoors" for changing service provider as she had rad that EE had a very poor reputation. Complained on Facebook and got a response and eventually received an emailed instruction to change settings which worked for a couple of days but back to same shaky connection. I have sent a very frustrating day trying to connect friends and relatives of Facebook but it keeps cutting out. We never had this problem with BT and TalkTalk before that. The other frustrating problem is trying to contact EE and speak to a human being; calls to them can be 20 -30 minutes before you do and even then I can't understand them and they can't understand me. So, if you are tempted by EE's offer just DON'T TAKE IT UP - you'll be sorry if you do. I am. Signed Mr V.

Replaced my Tescos with EE as it was cheaper. Sometimes the speed is good but for the most part the pages keep dropping out and you have to cancel the page and re load again which is particularly annoying on pages like banks where you've filled in your passwords and secure info. Am moving to Staffs soon and to be honest I would go back to BT as I never had an issue with broadband speed :)

Absolutely the worst service I've ever encountered from any company I've dealt with. Broadband connection regularly disconnects and have had some of the lowest speeds since they took over as my ISP
Shockingly rude call centre in Asia defending their disgraceful level of service.

Awful broadband speeds and even worse customer service. Excuses for poor speed ranged from "a problem at the exchange" to "it must be something your doing wrong". Changed provider = no more issues. They really don't care about customer service or customer retention. Avoid!

Worst, worst, worst, worst broadband I have ever used. Switched from Talk Talk thinking I was getting a better deal, but that was a huge mistake. First had it installed back in September, well they didn't connect in time so had no internet for a week. Then they said the fibre broadband doesn't work in my area AFTER I switched. At least once a week the internet stops working. Then goes back to the same rubbish speed it provides. Not enough to even download/stream content. Youtube is a no go area at times. For the past 3 weeks my internet has been the equivalent to the dial up internet from the past. Customer service staff has gone as far as to ask me to get a screw driver to unscrew my phone socket. As far as I'm concerned, you bring an engineer to my home and do what you think needs doing. After 4 awful months with EE, I'm switching back to Talk Talk. Your mobile network is just as bad by the way.

We have had huge problems with our EE home broadband, since moving house at end of August. Firstly, it took them almost 5 weeks to provide us with broadband at our new address, various 'go live' dates were given, none complied. When we finally got connected, the speed has been unstable and very slow a lot of the time. A truly appalling experience which maybe explains why we are moving to a new provider next week!
