EE have become very poor in all areas that I have been unfortunate enough to bare witness to.
Their internet speed is ok when it works and is fine to stream using Youtube but it intermittently goes down for several hours at a time with no known cause. I expect more than this from my isp! I left talktalk because they were even worse, now EE are slowly sliding down the same route that talktalk did: Too many customers, not enough of the customer's money put into the infrastructure necessary to provide the customers with the reliable experience they expect for the amount of money they are paying.
I left EE's phone network because their pricing structure was designed so that I had to spend at least £15 a month to get usable internet. If you opt for the £10 option, you get 10mb a month (yes, that's right, 10mb in 2017!) of internet for your smartphone. my phone uses that communicating with the fb server once. 10mb is an insult and is the reason you no longer receive any money from me for mobile services. I expect better service than this for the money I am paying and if you won't provide it, I WILL go elsewhere. If you don't have the infrastructure to take on new customers then build new infrastructure or stop taking on new customers.

Problem with the line, multiple calls and engineer visits, line constantly cutting out and stuttering not reliable, cuts streaming off locks apps up, game play hard latency problems, and all this could be fixed by not having fibre to my local green cabinet then an old fashioned copper wire to my house, pointless it's not fibre as a true connection, only to the area connection box then your on your own suckers.

Since we got this broadband I have at most had 5 mb/s. My parents are paying for a plan where we should at least have 20 mb/s. A few weeks ago before the lockdown in Edinburgh, a man came to try and fix it, he was nice but did nothing to improve our wifi. And just yesterday another man came (but couldn’t come into our house because of coronavirus) and did absolutely nothing to help. In fact my internet has slowed down even more, down to 0.4 mb/s. That is terrible!!! My parents for some reason don’t want to change broadband but this is the worst internet I’ve had in my life. As good as McDonalds wifi.

Overall EE is a company that usually lets you down when you need customer service whether it is about intermittent broadband service or equipment (e.g. cable) that they are meant to deliver but doesn't arrive or even looking into a bill query.

I bought this package as it was only going to cost me £2.50 a month and that I could remotely connect to my place of work. It turns out that the remote connectivity is not part of the package and it was definitely not mis-sold. You can have your £55 EE and keep your shoddy broadband and poor customer service. I'm off! I suppose you get what you pay for.

Was once a good broadband service so renewed an 18 month contract. Speeds went from a reliable 38mb to a variable 0-20mb. Guaranteed speed was 19mb. Every time you call customer services you have a 2 hour on hold wait and half the time when you get through they hang up without saying a word. All they ever did was to reset my router which never worked and made me spend hours reconnecting every smart home device. Never got any money back for the guaranteed speed being below the minimum. When I got the email saying my contract was coming to an end I thought FINALLY and have just switched to BT..... Yes EE is BT but £10 a month cheaper and higher minimum speed. EE got the final kick in of course by charging me £13 for leaving the contract 5 days early..... NEVER EVER AGAIN. Broadband with BT is amazing so far I can even watch 4k stuff now while the kids are playing PlayStation online

By far the worst company I have ever dealt with. Customer service is criminal, and they have cost me enormous amounts. Avoid at all costs.

The broadbanday speeds are generally less than you would like. WiFi too slow too often. I had no problems with the sky router I used previously. To top it all off customer service is a pain to deal with. Avoid ee fibre broadband. All the bad reviews are spot on. It wouldn't be worth it even if it was free.

Possibly one of the worst product experiences I’ve ever had. Was told a minimum of 1mbps download, up to around 4mbps. Actual download was about 0.01mbps. (That’s slower than dial-up). Reliability is a joke. At peak times you should expect it to cut out about once every ten minutes.
I can’t rate this product badly enough. If you decide to use it after reading this review - more fool you.

Without a doubt one of the worst broadband providers I have ever used.
While the staff are very polite, they seem to have little to no training on actually resolving or understanding issues.
My broadband went down and it took me a week of chasing them up on the phone to actually get an engineer out. It is very frustrating constantly being told that something will be resolved in 48 hours, to not have anything done.
Cannot keep to their own timeframes and would not provide data on my phone to help me manage. I work from home and it left me out of pocket.
I will be cancelling my broadband and my mobile phones with EE asap.

Been with EE broadband for one year.
On the positive side: the deal was cheap.
Negative side:
- really bad contention ratios. In the mornings/afternoons we get the advertised 16Mb speeds, but every evening it drops hugely, sometimes to around 1Mb and about one evening a week, it becomes difficult to get anything out of the line at all. It can be really painful to use.
- throttles certain types of bandwidth at certain times.
Overall it was very much a budget package, so I'd tend to cut it some slack, but the speed drops to the point of being unusable for some things are not acceptable in my opinion.

Connection goes down several times a day, often not returning for hours at a time. EE themselves are very unhelpful. It's been ongoing for months, and has gotten to the point where I've had to upgrade my phone contract (thankfully not with EE!) because I'm using so much data thanks to having to tether my phone because my EE broadband is ALWAYS DOWN!
Do yourself a favour, DO NOT sign up for broadband with EE! It is a nightmare.

Our broadband service cuts out constantly; approximately 6-8 times a day! We have tried phoning EE to see if they can sort it but they just tell us that they'll give us a free month as a way of making it up to us. Honestly, we're just waiting for our contract to expire so we can change providers. Honestly; look elsewhere for your broadband

The mobile network I found to be very good
so because of this we got EE broadband hoping for the same quality
No it is so un-reliable and i usually find it cut out at least twice a night and even when it does work it is slow compared to other broadbands
it is a scam
I was applauded by the low quality and after reporting the issue many times and still no improvement or any action on there part at all I am disgusted
I hope anyone considering EE will learn from my mistake and go to BT

It took me a month of being on the phone for hours at a time being lied to by numerous customer service agents in a foreign call centre to get my broadband finally working after a fault on the original connection. And now it is up and running I'm getting speeds of 5mbps at peak times which means the internet is pretty much useless. I'm just waiting until I have a spare 2 hours and some saints patience before taking the plunge on another ordeal with customer service

Staff and general terms are full of punitive terms. They say you’ll be charged if you cancel early - then you wait weeks/months to cancel and then they take their sweet time to cancel the contract and bill YOU for this time at a higher rate and when they say you’ll get a cheque in 10 days, that’s 10 days from when they process the cheque which could be a week or more. I can only assume their system works on their own broadband - hence why it’s so damn slow. Will never go back

Poor service and NO parental controls in place to protect children instead wanting you to MICRO manage each device. DO NOT BUY I you want to protect your children’s online safety as they are not interested in helping and direct you to Norton who on doubt they have a nice relationship with for year 2 sales that you have to have to continue the service whilst in contract or your children can watch any online content they want online via WI Fi.

Retro style is fashionable in many areas, one can buy retro cars, clothes, furniture even wallpaper.
Lovers of nostalgic styles will be happy to note that EE have now launched their retro internet package. With EE "Broadband" you can now experience the internet as it was in the good old 1990's with abysmal download speeds and repeated dropped connection for seemingly no reason what so ever. hurrah I hear you say, for how long has the word buffering been missing from our lives. The excitement of waiting for a simple email to open, the near stalling of your connection when six o'clock approaches. Its all back with EE's internet package unfortunately they seem to have missed out the old 56k dialling tone which is a shame but otherwise its the complete experience of historical internet access.

The worst service by far I've ever seen! First when I subscribed they gave me a discount which I didn't receive at all. I had to chase them for the discount and after 2 visits in their office and 5 calls to their "Customer Service" I succeeded to get my discount. It was awful experience!
On top of that, they continued my account for one additional month and charged me about £20 for that!
So in general, don't believe EE, all their discount, prices and offers are just on paper in reality you will get broadband much more expensive than what you sign for!
If you liked to be lied, EE is perfect!

Have tried getting a contract out of them for a fortnight now. Have no idea what I have got with them other than an idea from someone at the phone. Have spent an hour to the HelpLine(!!!) to be told then cannot help but that the local EE shop would be able to let me have a copy. They, of course, denied that and put me through to another help line who said they could give me the details over the phone! Still no contract. Came home and tried another number and was again told that a contract could not/would not be sent. Asked to cancel the contract and was told that a cancellation fee would be charged! Haw can they charge a contract cancellation fee when there is no contract? STAY AWAY FROM THEM, they are an internet/phone communication company that does not know how to communicate.

Avoid EE if you have children!! My issue is less to do with the speed of the broadband (though that's not great) but with the absolute travesty that is safe browsing with Norton. To keep your children safe from adult content firstly you must register to buy the Norton Securities software (the first year is free but you have to give them payment details to get it). Then you must download a chunky bit of software or two apps on to every device you own (two apps??? With Sky, safe browsing was done by logging onto their website and switching it on! That was it!). Next the Norton Family app disables Safari, as it can only keep you safe if you you it's own browser!! What?? What about all my keychains and history and bookmarks?? And if you go through all that with every single device in the house (we have 9 devices between us, not including 2 raspberry pi) your children are still not safe if any of their friends come and visit, because their devices don't have the two apps installed! What an utter pile of *****. I want my IP address to block adult content, just like it always has, with every other internet provider we've had. Instead I've got a phone that still has Safari disabled (even though I have now deleted the Norton apps), and I'm shopping for a simpler solution, which I will have to pay for. I intend to charge it back to EE, with a bill for the hours I've wasted on their over-complicated Norton partnership. Rubbish.
onto each and every device your children might use (I started with mine because they jump on my phone pretty often to google something). Then in order to activate the safe browsing features the app disables Safari (or other browsers)!

Why do they charge 14 days broadband after I've gone live with the new supplier? This should not be allowed - they knew about the switch over date months in advance. How can companies introduce T&C's like this without being stopped by legislation? I tried to time my exit after a 12 months deal and stayed exactly till the end of the term as I was aware of the early cancellation fee. They still managed to get money out of me by charging me for a service I didn't receive. I'll investigate further, there must be other consumers who aren't happy with EE's T&C's.

Even when I complain to the chief executive, nothing gets done. Don't waste your money with this company, the service is VERY POOR

The speed has dropped by more than half since we joined Orange. It was around the 3.0 Mb/sec mark now it's 1.4Mb/sec. I think they may be limiting the speed to tempt you to take the fibre package!

I have an ongoing speed problem for a few months now, after spending endless hours doing what EE customer service asked me to do, the problem is still remained, and despit this my bill goes up every three month. this is not acceptable. Avoid using EE and their unreliable service. I have to mention that the customer sercive number for the landline is not as easy to find as their mobile customer service which makes getting help harder for ealderlies.

I could live with broadband speed although it was slowing down to a halt very often. The problem I have with EE( as well as with many other providers) is that after the end of my contract they started charging me about 70% more. That's not the way to treat loyal customers.I perceive this as highly unethical on their part. They know very well many people have no time to track every payment. I they finally notice something is wrong they will instantly sweet talk you into another contract with them cutting the price by half. They can afford this scam only because there are still lots customers who go for that. I am saying NO!!!. I AM LEAVING YOU EE FOR GOOD. YOU FOOL ME ONCE...

The wifi is absolutely awful. We were told we would have a download speed of 14 Mbps and we are lucky if we get 3. It has even been known to go as low as 0.6 - which is absolutely ridiculous. The customer service staff are pleasant to speak to however this doesn't take away from the fact that this is the worst wifi speed I have ever used. We've been told multiple times that the problem would be fixed, and they have once sent an engineer out to fix the problem however it seems to be worse than ever. Extremely unsatisfied.
