Contracted speed is 8Mb - and peformance is OK at >6Mb most of the time. However, most weekday evenings, speed drops, sometimes as low as 1Mb or less. Suspect Talk Talk have been greedy and oversubscribed their service. Customer services hopeless - they can never find my account, even though they installed a new line and provisioned the whole service from new. Overall service is OK, but I would prefer better speed in the evenings. |

Had a lot of problems with reliability after they upgraded to ADSL2+ that were only resolved by 2nd line support after 3 weeks. But £4.04 a month is cheaper than any other provider and 13 Mbps is more than enough download speed so I ain't moving until somebody undercuts them |

Customer services is atrocious. Hardly ever get anywhere with them. 90% of calls are abroad which takes an hour to get to a UK service which actually try help. (if they succeed or not is a different question). Download speed is the only thing which isn't too bad (6 mb / 8 mb). 40 gb cap is a pain in the arse, but i can't upgrade due to not being the bill payer. Reliability is awful, cuts off whenever we go on the phone, even random times. Filters seem to do more damage than good. |

Changed to Talk Talk from Tesco. Firstly, they never sent the modem and CD package before the activation date.(still haven't got it) Lucky I have my own modem. Don't know what my E-mail address is because of this. The speed has never been so low. OK, so my village has always been a bit of a problem area for broadband but was enjoying 1mb speed for about a year. Talk Talk speed was only around 0.2mb. When I phoned customer "service", they told me there was a 14 day stabilization period where their engineers are still fiddling with settings and stuff, which they never stated when I signed up. Every other provider has given full speed immediately. Customer Service is less than absoloute crap! On hold for ages, speaking to a different nationality every time, got hung up on, trying to tell me their modem is better than mine, bad attitudes and apathy is all you will ever receive from this bunch of lying, timewasting, stress making idiots. Talk Talk? More like ALL TALK!!! Stay far far far away! |

I have been with Talk Talk for about a year now and although the customer service is good the speed can be slow at times, however I am about to upgrade to Pro soon so fingers crossed. |

I only gave a 2 star rating for customer service as i have never had much luck with them. I would encourage any one to use the forum as it is much better. |

Talk talk are an absolute joke. Signed up 6 wks ago. Still have no internet. Everytime i phone up i get someone who cant speak english. I get put through 20 times. Then to tell me il be waitin another 21 days. Theyve added 70 pound installation charge on my bill and 30 pound conection fee, they never told me about this when i signed up. They are a bunch of con artists and im taking legal action. |
