Customer Reviews

Was with Sky Broadband who advised I couldn't have more than 8Mb connection. Checked the BT Exchange who advised I could get upto 15Mb. Looked at Plusnet who advised that I could have 12Mb for £11.99 which has saved me £6 per month and almost doubled my connection speed. At best, I could only average 4-6Mb with Sky. I'd strongly recommend that people check-out Plusnet as they're realy good.

Speed can fluctuate but that is more a fault of the Openreach exchange capacity always at maximum than Plusnets fault. Lost a point on customer service if only because first line do not always listen to a technical report but then I am a telecoms engineer so that is not necessarily fair, second line are very clued up and on the ball.

Regretfully I am obliged to award PN one star for all aspects of what it laughingly calls service. They deserve negative ratings all the way through. Appalling company with arrogant unhelpful support staff who couldn't give a toss about customer service. Now moving on after months of trying to resolve a problem. Good bye and good riddance to the most vile company I have ever dealt with.

Plusnet deals have three tier pricing. If your telephone exchange has been unbundled by 4 or more LLU suppliers it is classified by Ofcom as high competition, allowing cheaper prices for wholesale broadband. Plusnet passes these savings on to customers meaning lower introductory prices continue indefinitely. Customers in urban areas are more likely to qualify, use the checker on Plusnet’s site for confirmation. Due to Plusnet's Price Promise to never be beaten on the price of their standalone basic broadband, in some areas that are not high competition but have one or more LLU suppliers offering cheaper that Plusnet's standard price, Plusnet offers a cheaper than standard middle pricing level after the introductory period ends.
