I placed my order with orange home broadband despite lots of negative reviews... I recieved the router after 5 days and my phone line and broadband was up and running on day 6... I get 6.5mb download speed and no issues with connectivity or interruption to service... I was originally with sky.... Who it turns out only gave me 4.2mb download speeds... With orange it is unlimited download unlike sky who give 40gb. And it is a lot cheaper than sky too.
My advice.... Sign upto orange.... If it isn't for you... Use your right to cancel....

Only a new customer but so far so good, deals pretty cheap cos my wife and I are on Orange - seems to be faster than BT

In October 2011 and last week (Jan 2012), I logged 3 phone calls per 'Outage' before Orange (Level 2 support) pressed the software buttons to reset my connection. Before then, well-meaning but ineffectual support engineers insisted on my rebooting my router - despite my comment that a message was telling me 'ASDL ppp server down'. The previous phone link to a UK engineer is not now offered. My previous 6 Mb/s (typical) seems to be limited to 1.9 Mb/s. The best I can expect at the BT copper wire green box is 8 Mb/s, though Mumbai emphatically expect that it should be twice this, typically 14 Mb/s. [YOUR TEXT BOX: Snails page or snail's pace?]

Top speeds vary significantly, particularly according to how far away you live from the exchange and if BT WBC ADSL2+ broadband equipment is installed in your exchange. If your line won’t support Orange’s fastest broadband speed they’ll give you the best available. The speed you actually get can also vary depending on the quality of your line, the wiring in your house, the time of day and even the weather.
Cheapest prices are only available in regions classified as having a higher level of competition by Ofcom (Market 2 or higher), households outside these areas may still be able to get Orange Broadband but for an additional charge of £10 per month.
