Been with them for quite a few years and, even when problems rarely do occur, the custom service has been very helpful. Reliable, slows during peak times but generally faultless.

O2's strong point, in my experience, is their customer service. I've been lied to by Talktalk and messed around for years by Tiscali; switching to O2 is like returning to sanity after being mentally ill. They're not just sane, they're positively helpful, pleasant and professional. OK speed could be a bit higher - I get around 12Mb approx 1.5 miles from exchange - but service has never been interrupted in nearly 3 years, and I don't get any trouble over usage - and I certainly watch a lot of TV via iPlayer, 4OD etc. My kids are online gamers too, and appreciate the consistent service. I just hope O2 get into fibre soon, I don't want to switch away from the best customer service I've ever had, not just from an ISP, from anything.

Great speeds when 1st joined 02.Last 12 months between 34kbps and 3Mb.Nearly always under 2Mb.
Dont download music,movies etc.Dont play games.Paying £14.50 for this.Should have changed months ago about to do so now

Just signed up with O2 (after years of indecision about changing) and cannot praise them highly enough for the quality of the service and support. First class and my download speed is 100% faster than previous supplier. Their UK based call centre staff are the most courteous we have ever dealt with- they phoned us back twice to ensure our set up was completed to our satisfaction and you get through without being on hold for ages. The service is everything they promised. Seemless move from previous phone and broadband suppliers (as well as significant cost saving) and they kept us informed at every stage. Well done O2 just hope it continues.

Can not fault O2 in anyshape or form and I disagree with the negative claims being made by other reviewers. Only yesterday there was a possible fault in my area. I was sent a text message to inform me of this as it may of affected my internet connection. And today I was sent an update text informing me that everything was running as it should be. No other ISP I have been with has provided this service. When I have had the need to contact Tech Support whether my call is answered in either Ireland or Scotland the staff are always fully focused, they listen to get the full facts in order to resolve the very (and I mean VERY) minor issues I have had. Where faults have occured that could not of been prevented the following day I have always received a telephone call the following day to see how things are (ie is everything running as it should be or have other issues occured etc.) I would like to point out that yes there has been some issues regarding service but as I have said they have always been very minor. Speed wise can not fault the speeds at all they have always remained consistent and O2 supply the speed they advertise aswell. For me O2 is the number one ISP in the UK and other more larger companies should take note because O2 are putting them to shame.

For some weeks my broadband speed has been around half a megabyte, when it gets down to this level, Google mail will not load at all and I am obliged to go to HTML to get mail. This frequently occurrs when there is heavy usage of the BT line like evenings and school holidays. It used to be better than this at 1 1/2 Mbts, and seems to have deteriorated just at the time you have advised me that chgarges are to be increased. Is there anything that I can do about it?

o2 continually just ask to do diagnostics but never fix the issue, won't send out new router. Theres more but I just can't be bothered with them anymore.

In the 2 years with O2 both my download and upload speeds have DROPPED by just over 20%! No I have not moved house!

First line support, handled in Ireland, is superb with very helpful staff. However if one needs more it swiftly becomes mired...

If the Post Office decided that it was now your postman's job to look through your mail every morning and burn on the pavement outside your house what HE thought to be junk mail how would you feel? This is what O2 do with YOUR email...

Every other ISP place what it thinks is spam into a spam folder. Then YOU can look through it and decide whether it is or not. Not O2. The techies tell me this should not happen and that it's wrong and should never happen.

Management (the O2 Executive Office) tell me that they are NOT going to do anything about it - period.
