BT Mobile Broadband offers internet access at broadband speeds both at home and on the go. Their network covers 80% of the UK and depending on area can offer speeds of up to 7.2Mbps.

The service can be pre-paid for 18 months stand alone or bought from as little as £9.99 along with any BT Total Broadband fixed line broadband service on an 18 month contract.

For the first 18 months, 1GB of inclusive usage allowance is provided automatically every 30 days with no additional charge. Additional data can be applied using top ups - £10 for an extra 1GB or £20 for an extra 3GB.

BT Mobile Broadband’s USB modem is a compact, high-end dongle with a fold away plug, supporting speeds of up to 7.2Mbps.

Please note: Inclusive data allowance is activated by online dongle registration, this must be done within the first month or you risk losing your data allowance entitlement.

One of cost of service varies depending on BT Total Broadband service. New customers signing up for BT Total Broadband Options 1 or 2 fixed line broadband will be charged £49.99 to start their mobile broadband service. New customers signing up for BT Total Broadband Option 3 or Home and Away broadband will be charged £9.99 initial cost for mobile broadband.

Existing BT Total Broadband customers or customers buying BT Mobile Broadband stand alone will be charged £129.99 for their USB modem dongle and pre-paid 18 months 1GB per 30 days service.

Top ups can be applied online or bought from newsagents and supermarkets displaying the top up logo. Top ups and inclusive data allowance expire after 30 days.

7.2Mbps connection speed is the theoretical maximum connection speed and will only be available in large metropolitan areas and major airports (see BT Mobile broadband site for full coverage details).
