About BE Broadband
BE was the first broadband provider to offer an ADSL2+ service offering speeds up to 19Mb, the UK's fastest non-fibre-optic broadband. Always a favourite with the techy crowd they are also a great supplier for those wanting to get the very best speeds from their connection.
They are well respected for their high levels of customer service, they consult their customers regularly when considering changes to the service.
Customer Reviews
Switched over to BeThere in June as I had had several technical support issues with my old provider that I had been with for over 5 years. After a lot of research I decided to choose BeThere as they had recently become available in my area and the reviews I had read were good. I am really pleased with the speed of the service, the SMS messages for billing information and service interuptions is great (only had one over night interruption due to equipment upgrade) and the online forums and community are great and Be have a regular input into what customers say. You can have a static IP address if you wish at no extra charge and they provide you with a BeBox router (Thomson 585v7). The router is ok I would suggest upgrading to the latest firmware as this seems to remove all the niggles that were on the box when I joined. If you can get Be and you don't mind paying that little bit more you deffinatly get what you pay for.

You get what you pay for- no shaping, no throttling, and I've never known it slower than the 17 megabits that I get.
Highly recommended.
Matt - Aberdeen
Overseas support, disconnections, regular faults with connection, phone support which cuts you off as its overseas and VOIP based, a web support ticket system that thinks your message is Java code, Live chat system that cuts off midway, Proxy system in place that regular blocks entire sites. DNS servers that are slow and known to have outages.
Yes there is no capping, or throttles, though with all the issues they have it would be preferable.
Ring 0808 101 34 30 and choose option 6 before you join ask a few questions just to get a rough idea how the rest of the product is.
A monkey and a bit of string would give you better broadband service and support.
