TalkTalk/WoW issues

hi. I'm recently moved house from a cable area to a house which has dsl, tiscali/TalkTalk to be exact. in our old house with cable, we were able to run 2 pc's and an xbox online through a router. The PC's are used to play World of Warcraft and we never ever had a problem. But with the dsl connection, we can only run 1 WoW PC and the connection keeps dropping every 5-10 mins and has to be reconnected. Theres no router involved now, just a straight line from modem to PC, I can't understand what the problem is. Under normal working conditions (browsing etc) theres no problem with the connection, just when WoW is running.

I'm out of ideas, anyone had this problem before, or anyone know of a solution?
