I have had 3 mobile broadband and phone for over a year and, although there have been problems in the past, I was happy enough with the service to renew my contract. However, since extending my contact the broadband is constantly dropping out even though the 3 Connect panel shows that I am still connected. This results in a disconnection to any messaging services and web pages to freeze. I have noticed that my 3 mobile phone keeps cutting out whilst at home as well and this also worked OK up until 2 weeks ago. I remember seeing a communication from 3 saying that some work was being carried out on the network around 3 weeks ago.
Could this be the cause of my problems? Has anyone else experienced this issue? I have spoken to 3 helpdesk and followed all of there instuctions to no avail...... Although I have got a new contract am I legally bound to it as the service I receive now is not the same as I received beforehand? If anyone can help or advise it would be most appreciated. Thanks. |

I have to tell you that I have had the exact same issues for a little more than a month. I live in Bournemouth and my internet is now very slow, disconnects a lot. It's a pain to surf at all. I have Huaweii E220 + a Touch Diamond with unlimited data. The Touch Diamond has also been experiencing some serious connectivity issues in the past month. I've stopped surfing with the Diamond because of this.

I have been having exactly the same trouble with my 3 mobile broad band. It has been happening for a little longer than you mentioned but I noticed it just after an 'upgrade' in my area.
I wasn't sure if it was a computer problem or broadband problem? It doesn't disconnect - but I just lose connection the the web page of messenger page i'm using! I can't help you with the contract part though i'm afraid. Thanks Kirsty |

ive had probs with 3 mobile broadband for 1 year. I have moved house three times, on each occasion i was told signal was good, everytime i call them i get fobbed off. I am absolutely sick and tired as i cannot hold connection. Everyone i speak to has the same problems. My 3 skpe phone is absolute rubbish as well. I continually cutting off my calls, overheating, and sometimes it doesnt ring and then an hour later I get missed calls showing. 3 are no help. i cant wait for my contract to be finished. I doubt whether you will get this reply as I will probably get disconnected.

Hi guys, im living in Ireland and im with 3 for a year now, its was great at the start but 3 months ago my connection started acting up. Its as slow as 0,0 to 50 kbps most of the time and i have to keep moving my modem about to keep the connection going. 3 admitted to a technical problem with the network but the second phone call to them and they tried to convince me it was a faulty modem. awaited a few days and rang again, this time making sure i stressed if they had "fixed" the network problem, they wouldnt admit to any problems but would call back and escelate the issue for me ect ect, bull bull bull. its worse than ever now and im supprised i managed to get into the forum without breaking an arm waving this damn thing around the room.im sick of it and they have lied about the share ratio, when i signed up it was advertised to 20/1 share, and last call to 3 i asked about this and the idiot slipped and said it is 47/1 now!!!!!!! should they not notify a customer if they change your connection? and by the way the name BROADBAND is copyright protected by the company in sweden that invented it and it has to reach speeds of 10mbps to be legally called broadband! Tese companies selling this sort of "broadband" should be brought to court for breach of contract same as we would if we only paid half our bills to them!!! call it narrow band instead then and we might think twice about buying your **** services in the future!

My daughter has just drafted a letter of complaint to Three because of the trouble she has had for nearly a year. She has not been able to get a modem connection but being charged. Got nowhere with calls fobbed off had enough. We are taking this further and the more people who are also having trouble will help us all to have a case.
There is an e mail address of one of the directors/boss but can't find it. Dont let them get away with it. Angry mother of a student who is fed up with their poor service. |

Seems I am having the same kind of problems as anyone else ! Up to about a year ago I always thought that 3 were providing a decent service, so much so that everytime I spoke to friends or other people about thier mobile connections I found myself championing 3's cause ! That was one of the reasons why I decided to go along with 3 Broadband, that and the fact that I got a laptop out of them ! Unfortunately over the last few months I have been let down heavily, in more ways than one, as to what kind of service they provided. My broadband connection, at best, is shocking and even when it says I am not connected is STILL chipping away at my entitlement. Ive spoken to an advisor, in India I think !!!!!, that said there was some work going on in my area, which it now seems that that is the excuse what everyone else is getting fobbed off with. Apparentley I am going to be gettig a call from a technical advisor tomorrow (23.09.09) who will more than likely tell me exactly the same as what his colleagues has already told me. I would love to be able to get out of this contract because I dont feel as though I am getting the service that I am paying for. I am starting a course with the Open University in a couple of weeks and am going to be relying on my connection heavily. Has anyone wrote letters of complaint, managed to get out of their contract or got any advice as to how I might go about this ?
Cheers in advance Chris |
