Default Plugging wireless into electricity socket

Hello,

I currently have broadband but have a cable going from my phone socket to my bedroom. I would like to get rid of the wire by setting up a wireless connection.

However, where my phone socket is in my hallway I have no electricity point. Every time I look at wireless hardware they always have a bit of equipment that requires plugging into an electricity socket and a phone socket at the same time which I cant do without getting an extension cable which deceives the initial purpose of me getting wireless.

Does anyone have any info on what to do other then getting a new phone line put in nearer an electricity point of having an electricity point put in next to a phone point.

Thanks

VDP.

All wireless routers require power... and all wireless routers require a wired connection to the phone socket..

So you need to get power wire and phone wire to the same point to plug into the router. There is no other option.
