Angry Prodigy Networks - Where are you?

I have been with Prodigy Networks on Broadband for about 3 years and am now planning to move to BT.
I have spent the last 3 weeks trying to contact them for a MAC code, but all avenues of contact (phone, e-mail, text have been totally ignored. The numbers for support or customer service on their site are left to ring and not answered.

Is there any way I can retrieve my MAC code from my account details, or have you any suggestions of a way forward to get hold of it.
If I cancel, then I will be charged neartly £40 by prodigy to cancel, and still have to get the broadband connection re-instated.

Please can you help.

Si Wagner

Have you tried reporting them to OFCOM?

Red face Re: Prodigy Networks - Where are you?

OFTEL will not act on individual complaints, so why are they there? But you must tell them you have exhausted all avenues.

Send a registered letter to your ISP which requires a signature on receipt and confirmation back to yourself. Say you require a MAC, if not provided in 48 hours they will be deemed in breach of contract, and that you have registered this with OFtel. At least this way you have more legal standing..
good luck

i had the smae problem with prodigy networks it took me about 3 weeks to talk to some one and i was calling them up to 10 times a day. i eventually did get a mac code and managed to transfer my isp to sky.however i am still recieving emails from prodigy saying that i owe them money,...they still think that i am with them.
i would not recomend this company to anyone. good luck with getting your mac code keep calling them and the one guy that works there will one day answer the phone!!!
