Default Virgin Media SUCKS

I just wanted to make people aware that virgin media are possibly the worst broadband provider you can come across. The deals they offer at the start are pretty good, but give it some time and they start pileing on the charges, such as being charged just for them to send you a bill.
My pack originally started at £10 per month, and I expected it to go up to around £17 per month after a few months, but its now at £21.45! What a joke. I soon told them where to shove it, well letter is in the post...
Also they say you can easily find out how much they charge for the phone calls by visiting their website page about call charges. But can you believe it its actually a page about their customers mobile phone calls NOT the calls you make to them. Its like they are hidding how much it cost to call them.
So in short dont go with them because they are sneaky and will try to squeeze money out of you.
Unlucky for them because I will never spend a penny with them. LOL, they might be laughing with their secret charges and a few pounds here and their but soon they will be garbage as people realise what a rip off they are. Hopefully.

I've always found Virgin Media to be pretty good. Not sure what you mean about hiding charges to call them. It's a local call charge or free if you have phone line with them.

I am paying £20 for my B/Band,size M 10 Meg, for the same package that a new customer can get for £15.& that is the 12 month charge, not just to get you in the net. They throw in free w/end phone calls with that. Their solution? Put me on the L package? after all I have been with them since before NTL (remember Birmingham Cable anyone) NO NO NO
Offer me an upgrade to the L package then charge me £25 or cancel my phone and B/Band for a month then reapply as a new customer.
Loyalty counts for nothing, and you cannot get a decent answer from the call centre (not their fault) because all they say is they can`t do anything about it, thats the way it is?!?
Sooner, rather than later, I will have to do something but why should I have to have all this hassle? Their solution will probably be to charge everyone the £20 rather than the £15.
Yes,unregistered, VIRGIN MEDIA SUCKS.

Sounds like there a lot of unhappy Virgin Media customers out there!

O2 probably offer the best customer service (via a freephone number). You can check which broadband providers service your area. If O2 or Be Unlimited (same company) are Local Loop Unbundled in your area, I'd recommend switching to them. They also don't throttle bandwidth like Virgin Media.

Virgin Media Sucks but then again do you know how many potential tossers you have logged into you? I have a 10meg super slow £20 pound a month one the £1.25 paper bill?

Well I find out two months on, you got to set up e-billing to stop that sly charge of Mr Bead Face, now if he was the man he claimed to be he has the cash to sort this pants out rather than selling you BS connections and BS aftercare.

It took two months to get my login info from them! I should of new then! I knew soon all was not well in the BS Branson buleyonder take over connections WOW Im geting 6 not 10 like they BS'd me about its two months on and its sometimes its 3 but the slowest its ben upto now is 28k like back in the good old days. NOT

The problem I have with Bransons new cash cow is he only took over from tele-west aka blue yonder who utterly sucked when I had them, a big whale was the right motto for them alright!

All hes done is slapped his beardie face and his Mothers motto on some old hat servers, so don't get your staff to BS me Branson.

You tell us why your servers are sending out hacked connections apart from the **** New Scientist mag said what I said two years ago. That the world is hacked and the hacks called Patent Zero on Zombie Networks and its in charge of you all ? you need to filter out the **** DNS's you got hooked into me to that may help or explain who they are and why do I need to be in th USA again...

I find all the UK ISPs do this so we cant just blame Beard face, ones I had thats SKY, BT, BEARD FACE, PIPEX, BLUE WHALE are all the pants and they sell you the luck of the draw btw even static lines (IPs) don't mean squat if they cant stop 28 bogus DNS connections in my black stuff !

I need to get a better understanding of the networked subnet but looking at what I've seen up to now is not good and UK ISPs all know this just there dicks about it just so as long as there are servers ok! They got the nerve to say use a firewall ! Boo Virgin Media, Newcastle local

Virgin sales staff ring me every couple of months and I consider it, 50Mbs does sound good as I am only getting 7 Mbs.

Then you read stuff like this and thank god I never took the plunge.

Just think you can have 50 Meg sir. They didn't mention they will throtle it to 3 Meg.

Angry Re: Virgin Media SUCKS

I have been using Virgin Media broadband for the past 2 years and it's excellent, fast and reliable - it never breaks connection.
Sadly though, I also took their land line service, this is the worst land line I've ever had, the only free calls I can make is at w/ends to UK land lines, they even charge 10ppm + 10p "call set-up" fee for 0845/0870 numbers as well as high call charges to standard numbers during the week, i.e. I made a 1 min call to Manchester from Birmingham at 9pm, this cost 16.5p (with the call set-up fee), why do they need to set-up direct dialed call?
Switching to Virgin phone line was a big error, I was with TalkTalk previously and could (and did) call the world at any time for free, unfortunately, TalkTalk broadband (although free) was awful with constant breaks and slow-downs.
If only there was a provider with a great phone and broadband package, please don't suggest BT or Orange, tried these didn't like either.
