Angry MyPostOffice broadband

Shortly after joining My Email in My Account disappeared from the drop down menu in the PO website. I should be grateful to hear from anyone having the same problem. I have emailed the PO umpteen times but I still can't access my PO mailbox. TIA

Thumbs down Re: MyPostOffice broadband

DO NOT SIGN UP FOR MYPOSTOFFICE BROADBAND. I too have been let down by MyPostOffice. I have my own domain name and personal email address that is routed through a remote server as part of the domain name registration. My husband has a Mac.com account which also uses a third party server. I have been informed by the inappropriately named Customer Care service that MyPostOffice does not allow access through 3rd party servers. I have a friend who works as an IT solutions consultant and he informs me that he has a number of customers who have, like me, chosen to use a domain name to personalise their email address. He has not come across anyone who has had a problem with any other provider. I am going to make a formal complaint and try to terminate the contract without penalty but am not hopeful that they will move with any speed to resolve this.

I too have a MAC and have been on PO Broadband since last Sept. It appears that Apple do not recognise the incoming server from the Post Office. I ring the PO and they say it's Apples fault. In order to access my email I have to go through to the PO website and mess about.

Angry Re: MyPostOffice broadband

Nice to know I am not alone in discovering what a major disappointment PO broadband service is. I too own a Mac and despite numerous emails, answered days later with inappropriate directions for a MAC. So far I have been unable to speak to any one due to "the high call volume experienced". Dont seem to get this when I phone sales! I would also like to opt out of the farce of a contract with mypostoffice and have been told to inform the local Fair Trading Officer at your council. Keep an account of all emails and record times of phone calls. If they do not provide the service promised the contract is not legal and binding, therefore its void. I had a similiar problem with Orange and refused point blank to pay for a service not provided, despite bully boy tactics I stood my ground and have heard no more from them.

I've been a post office customer since march 09 my download speed has doubled compared with orange, yet the B.T telephone exchange remains the same, and i can access my email without any problems again something not achievable with orange. The post office router arrived on time, was plug and play no problems at all.

MY PO Broadband is fine, apart from occasional drop-offs of the Inbox as reported by other users. However, my incoming mails have dropped by around 30%. Am I losing friends and contacts? Doesn't seem like it, because I have managed to track down at least 85 emails that have gone missing on their way in - including all emails from a Google Group I actually manage! - and in doing so have also noted that a number of my and my wife's own emails aren't arriving where they're sent.
This is erratic - when Customer Services on the phone sent me an email it got through, so they told me as far as they're concerned it isn't their problem. However, I've had cause to send emails to Customer Services 3 or 4 times on this issue as well as being unable to access email on the webmail - I have never once received an acknowledgment, let alone a response or action. Customer Services phone is good on simple issues, non-responsive with more serious ones, and quite possibly in effect non-existent. Can't see their business holding out if they don't sort this out.

Unhappy Re: MyPostOffice broadband

Why am I still unable to receive or send e mails? I have paid in advance for this service and feel badly let down by Post Office broadband...

Why can I no longer access my Broadband account?
