No email access for 20 days now...I ve made 6 calls to PO to report email option has disappeared - 3 promises from various people to look into problem and call me back but heard absolutely nothing. Really annoyed! Only option seems to register a complaint in writing.

I read thread this because I am considering using PostOffice broadband, having been with Tiscali for years, but not happy with the deal being forced on users since the TalkTalk takeover.
Email access will not be a problem as I have no plans to use the PO email service. I only use webmail, have Domain emails accessed on line, and Gmail & Yahoo mail. These provide me with all the email addies I need. Have you guys experienced any other problems with PO broadband and homephone apart from the email one.? It looks a pretty good deal and offers much more what I need than the TalkTalk one. |

I have had nothing but problems since joining Post Office homephone and broadband. Have been given 3 different numbers and BT engineer admitted I was `wired back to front at the exchange`. Broadband 14 days late going live. I set up direct debit but PO did not take my money through bank and even through I have paperwork from bank showing mandate was set up, PO sent bill saying dd could not be set up until bill paid. No one thinks they need to admit fault and apologise. I keep being bounced from customer don`t care to billing. No one wants to know. Am used to moving and starting up accounts but this is painful.

What a shame . I have been with them since the beginning, and it's fantastic, My phone and broadband bill halved, have no problems with service, apart from maintenance, which is warned in advance. Bettter than orange, talk talk, and bt especially!

I have had PO phone service for 2+ years and started my first Broadband by signing up at local post office. Everything went according to plan and service started on agreed date. A couple of problems at start-up due, mainly, to my ignorance. Was talked through by Tecnical Bod, and Boddess on second occasion, and all has been well ever since apart from problem in getting wireless router to work. I opted for one I bought myself instead of one rented from PO (Extra £s each month). The first Two were Belkin and just would not work with Post Office set up. This was confirmed by three separate people who each recommended Netgear Router. Plugged this in, took a while to work through set-up routine and OK ever since.
Overall, very pleased, Helpdesk is staffed by people who I can understand and, just as importantly, can understand me. Another bonus same cost for cash payment over PO counter, by cheque or direct debit. Far, far better that BT, and I worked for them for 40+years. |

I have just set up line rental with PO which is due to go live today. Will I be able to choose any ISP? I called Sky and they say I need a BT line. What's the difference?
Reading some of the comments here makes me reluctant to choose the POs BB package. |
