02 wireless box II - hangs and crashes ...

I have a problem with my '02 wireless box II'. With just a PC connected via an Ethernet port and another connected via wireless, everything is fine. If I connect my D-Link DNS 323 (NAS device) to another ethernet port, within a few hours the router appears to hang (PCs get no response from the router or the internet). If at this point the NAS device is disconnected from the router, 'normal service' to the router and the internet resumes (although in one case, the router did hang completely a few hours later).

Any thoughts as to how I can investigate this further or fix it ?
