Angry Re: T-MOBILE Wont allow SKYPE use :-

i thought i had connection problems and when i spoke to someone at t-mobile, they said 'the problem is with skype. you need to get in touch with skype. they should help you with the connection problems'

they forgot to mention that actually, t-mobile customers can't use skype because t-mobile have disallowed it!

i've been using t-mobile broadband for a few months now. they won't release me until i've completed the 12 month contract.

Thank you Thank you Thank you, was just about to purcahse a T-Mobile dongle, specifically for skype use when I found a very veiled reference to it on their fair usage policy and then googled to this site, T-Mobile off my list of suppliers now.

can you guys please confirm which handset you are using to 'attempt' to access skype on tmobile please?

I really want to know if the problem applies to just dumbphones or if it also extends to smartphone platforms such as those on Android or Blackberries.

T-Mobile's terms of service don't even allow 'Internet calling' using a mobile broadband dongle on a laptop, so limitations on using Skype should apply regardless of device.

On the contrary, I was in a contract with t-mobile (phone and broadband) and was ENCOURAGED to use skype as i was making alot of calls over to Canada which were working out expensive for me.
