Why on earth don't you guys use business grade broadband? If you sign up, just tell them you have a company set up in your name, business broadband is better than residential ^^
I use it at home and it works brilliantly, especially for gaming, their contention ratio's just 10:1 - 10 people per line, BT have like 20-50 per line!!! Priority business traffic - gives you consistent speeds all day, because they can manage your traffic! 100GB per month download limit! I used to use Virgin Media's 50mb fibre optic, which was fast as fook but it slowed right down once everyone else hit the gaming, bad COD lag! - OPAL DOESN'T!!! :-) I also host a dedicated server through my static IP address, i have 50-100 people playing my star wars MMORPG server 24/7 and it still doesn't lag it for the rest of my family! If your thinking about it, go on their website www. opal .co.uk have a look! I signed up with a guy called nathan, couldn't be bothered doing it online - 0800 542 5845 I found them to be better than BT, Virgin and Sky! (Only 3 providers i've tried) |

Granted, Opal Telecom's network is the same as what TalkTalk, AOL and Tiscali use, however the quality of service provided by Opal over BT, even on their business products is fantastic, for such a low price. I have been with Opal for just over 7 months, and their service has always been stable downloads are never shaped and any faults are fixed within the same working day.
I definitely agree that Opal are worth the time! |

My concern is that if Opal is talktalk then talk talk don't have any after sales service at tall - tal talk about. They are meant to but it is so inefficient. it's a great service when everything is going well but the moment you have a problem better prepare for a few hours and days of telephone calls and waiting. XLN are exactly the same. Great when it's going well but things go wrong a lot and when they do, they don't know what they are doing. Aghhh
