I have noticed that when checking my speed that if I turn off the anti virus that the speed can be improved by up to 2mb. I use avast Question is this a norm

If your antivirus is performing an automatic full scan of your system (can take a long time and usually begins when you start your computer or once a day), everything else on your computer will run a little slower.
